This Problem Across All Years
The contact owns a 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the front end of the vehicle was very unstable and was shaking and vibrating while driving over bumps in the roadway. Additionally, there was a loud squeaking sound coming from the front end of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the front lower control arms were faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The contact also stated that while driving in inclement weather, there was rainwater leaking into the cabin of the vehicle due to a faulty protective windshield seal. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 35,700.

FRONT CONTROLLER ARMS REPLACED DUE TO NOISE WHEN TURNING STEERING WHEEL. PROBLEM PERSISTED AND 2ND REPAIR WAS TO DRAIN HYDRAULIC FLUID FROM CA BUSHINGS AS A TEMPORARY FIX.NOW LAND ROVER IS STATING THAT DRAINING THE FLUID IS THE PERMANENT FIX, EVEN THOUGH CAR WAS DESIGNED WITH BUSHING FLUID. WE ARE AFRAID TO TAKE THE CAR ON LONG TRIPS OF OFF ROAD AND BE STRANDED SOMEWHERE.

NOISE WAS FIRST REPORTED TO DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT IN FEBRUARY BUT SERVICE TOLD ME THAT THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO DETECT THE NOISE. NOISE CONTINUED TO WORSEN. TOOK VEHICLE BACK TO DEALERSHIP SERVICE ON 6/29/2020 FOR INSPECTION OF NOISE AND WAS TOLD ON 7/1/2020 THAT THEY HAD BEEN ABLE TO CONFIRM THE NOISE AND THAT PARTS WERE ORDERED BUT HAD NO AVAILABLE SHIP DATE AND THAT THEY HAD TO RETURN THE VEHICLE TO ME WITH THE NOISE.
