I am filing this complaint to report neglect, unprofessional conduct, and refusal to take responsibility by Jaguar Land Rover Carlsbad during a manufacturer recall service. In December 2024, I took my Range Rover Sport to Land Rover Carlsbad for an N808 powertrain recall. I paid $299 for a diagnostic inspection, and the only issue reported was a diesel exhaust sensor. There was no mention of any issues with the oil level sensor, confirming it was fully functional at the time of drop-off. I authorized & paid for the repair of the diesel exhaust sensor repair to be completed during the powertrain repair. Following the recall service, the oil level sensor failed, resulting in a $4,500 repair. Extensive research and technician insight confirm that this recall can damage the oil sensor wiring if handled improperly. I believe the failure was caused during the recall service, especially considering: *No issue was present or diagnosed before the recall work. *Damage occurred immediately after. *Land Rover Carlsbad refuses to accept responsibility AFTER realizing cost Compounding the issue, the vehicle was returned without the windshield wiper housing installed, which I discovered while driving on the freeway at 65 mph with my children in the vehicle, during rainfall. Put our lives at risk. Also the design flaw: location of Oil Level Sensor (refer to NHTSA SSM73239). Despite multiple attempts to resolve this, General Manager Anthony Benfatti refused to take responsibility and told me, “See you in court, I’ll be there with attorneys & expert mechanics.” I am asking NHTSA to investigate the conduct of this dealership and LR design flaw which puts my vehicle at risk fire. LR actions reflect: Negligence in vehicle servicing, failure to honor customer safety, denial of legitimate damage claims, retaliatory and aggressive behavior toward complaints. I am requesting full reimbursement for the oil level sensor repair and an investigation into this dealership’s service practices.

When ever playing music through loud or soft volumes I can hear a static sound coming from all speakers. The static like noise can be heard more your phone is connected through usb through apple/android car play on both usb connector ports. when using just bluetooth its not as noticeable but can sometimes still hear it. When using just the radio am/fm setting its not as present but you will get a little static noise. Note my RRS has the 825 watt meridian sound system so when adjusting the bass, treble or sub the static can still be present even at different volumes. Note the cables to the usb have been changed and are new when trying to see if its the phone cable or not but still the noise is present. I am just wondering if it may entail to a software update that is needed on the vehicle.

The back rear door keeps causing the alarm to malfunction and go off. Also, as I was driving on the main road the back door came open on a passenger seated in the back. This was a major scare & could’ve been very deadly if my passenger didn’t have their seat belt on.

While I am in intersections driving, the car completely shuts off and I have to start the car back up for it to actually drive. It completely turns off while you’re driving. I have had several electrical issues with the car that have also been repaired. I’ve brought the car into the dealer service center over seven times and they have not been able to reproduce the issue of shutting off. I have installed a dash cam to record when it happens randomly. I reported to Land Rover corporate and they have not done anything over 8 months with this issue. I have two daughters and I’m concerned about getting into an accident with this car shutting off randomly. This has been occurring since I purchased the car in October 2020. Please help.

VEHICLE HAS SEVERAL ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. THE BOARD WILL GO BLACK SCREEN WHILE DRIVING. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER 2 TIMES FOR THE SAME PROBLEM, AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY WILL CONTACT ME WITH A SOFTWARE UPDATE. IT NEVER HAPPENED. I DONT HAVE TIME TO TAKE A CAR TO THE DEALER EVERY WEEK. IT IS A NEW CAR. I LEASED IT ON SEP. IT WOULD INDICATE MALFUNCTION ENGINE LIGHT LAST TIME. THE VEHICLE STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. I WOULD START THE ENGINE AND WOULD NOT SHIFT GEAR. I HAD TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE MANNUALLY AT 5 MILES PER HOUR TO MY HOUSE. THE TOW TRUCK TOOK MY CAR 2 WEEKS AGO TO THE DEALER. THE CAR IS UNDER REPAIRS. NO LUCK AS TO WHAT IS GOING ON. TODAY THEY CALLED THAT ARE CHANGING THE FUEL PUMP. WAITING FOR THE PART AND AFTER INSTALLATION THEY SEE IF THE PROBLEMS ARE RESOLVED
