I PURCHASED A 2010 HS 250H LEXUS IN AUG 8, 2016. I RECENTLY FOUND OUT THAT IT HAS BEEN RECALLED 7 TIMES WITH SERIOUS UNDER THE HOOD ISSUES AND WAS TOLD THE ONLY ONE OUTSTANDING THE ONE I STUMBLED UPON DUE TO RESEARCH. THIS CAR HAS RUINED MY LIFE.IT HAS NEEDED ALL SORT OF REPAIRS SINCE I PURCHASED IT. MOST OF THE TIME IT HAS HAD TO JUST SIT IN THE YARD DUE TO THE FACT THAT I WAS AND STILL IS, AFRAID TO DRIVE IT.. IT STARTED JUST A FEW DAYS AFTER MY DEALER WARRANTY HAD RUN OUT. IT CUTS OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD, LOSING THE ABILITY TO ACCELERATE,ETC. ONE DAY DURING WORK TRAFFIC IT CUT OFF ON ME AND TRAFFIC STAYED BACKED UP FOR MILES BEFORE I COULD CALL AND PAY FOR A TOW TRUCK. IN FACT, NOWADAYS, THAT'S BEEN THE ONLY WAY I CAN GET IT TO AND FROM THE REPAIR SHOP. NOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT I SOCKED MUCH OF MY SAVINGS INTO THIS CAR BECAUSE I HAD JUST RECENTLY RECEIVED MY TEACHING CERTIFICATION AND EXPECTED TO BE WORKING FULL TIME AND WOULD HAVE NO PROBLEMS. I'VE RECEIVED NUMEROUS OFFERS TO APPLY FOR NUMEROUS TEACHING POSITIONS BUT HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO APPLY DUE TO THE LACK OF TRANSPORTATION. I HAVE A LOAN AND INSURANCE THAT HAD TO BE MAINTAINED. I ALSO HAVE A MORTGAGE THAT I EXPECTED TO BE ABLE TO PAY FOR DUE TO MY NEWLY ACQUIRED CERTIFICATION AND OBTAINING A DEPENDABLE FORM OF TRANSPORTATION BECAME A NECCESITY. AT THIS POINT I HAVE HAD TO MOVE IN WITH RELATIVES BECAUSE I CAN NO LONGER AFFORD THE HOUSE AND DUE TO CONTINUOUS CAR REPAIR COST, MAY EVEN BE LOSING THE NON OPERATING 2010 LEXUS HS250H, THAT I HAVE BASICALLY NEVER BEEN ABLE UTILIZE FOR A BETTER LIFE FOR MYSELF. THE LEXUS DEALER WHO NOW HAS THE CAR HAS GIVEN ME A LOANER.
