THERE ARE 2 RECALLS THAT I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY SERVCO LEXUS OAHU HAVE TO BE DONE AT A DEALERSHIP. THE PROBLEM IS I LIVE ON THE BIG ISLAND OF HAWAII AND THERE IS NOT A DEALERSHIP ON THIS ISLAND SO I WAS TOLD I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE SHIPPING OF MY VEHICLE TO THE THE DEALERSHIP ON THE OTHER ISLANDS, EITHER MAUI, OR OAHU. I HAVE ARGUED WITH THEM SAYING IT IS THERE RESPONCIBILITY TO FIX THE CAR AND I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING FOR THEM FIX THEIR MESS. I WAS TOLD BY AN ASSISTANT MANAGER AT SERVCO LEXUS OAHU, THAT IF I READ MY OWNERS MANUAL I WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS.DO YOU KNOW OF ANYONE WHO HAS READ THEIR OWNERS MANUAL FRONT TO BACK BEFORE THEY BOUGHT A CAR, NEW OR USED, WHAT IF SOMEONE BUYS A USED CAR AND THERE IS NOT A MANUAL IN THE CAR?HE ALSO TOLD ME THAT ALL AUTOMANUFACTURERS STATE THAT IN THERE MAUALS SO I READ MY CHEVY TRUCK AND MY CORVETTE MANUAL AND IT SAYS "CHEVROLET WILL REPAIR ALL FACTORY RECALLS WITHIN 30 DAYS AND IF THEY CANNOT THEY WILL FIND A REPAIR SHOP TO DO THE WORK AND WORSE CASE SCENARIO THEY WILL SEND PARTS TO THE CUSTOMER."
