TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1995 LINCOLN MARK VIII. HE RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL NOTIFICATION FOR THE VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL (NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID # 07V336000) IN SEPTEMBER 2007. THE DEALER DISCONNECTED THE VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE PARTS WERE UNAVAILABLE AND ADVISED NOT TO CALL BACK. THIS HAS HAPPENED OVER A DOZEN TIMES IN THE PAST FIVE YEAARS AND HAS COME CLOSE TO NEAR FATALIITY OCCURANCES. AUTO MECHANICS SAY ONLY REPLACEMENT OF THE CONTROL WILL WORK AND THEY ARE NOT SURE IF THE PROBLEM WILL NOT REOCCUR DATE BELOW IS THE LAST OCCURANCE..
