Hello my car has a shifting cable busing fault. It’s Campaign/NHTSA# 18S20/18V471 This is a previous recall issue on ford. But somehow it’s not showing up under my vin number. But I’m experiencing this exact issue and it’s a safety problem

BATTERY: THE BATTERY MONITOR SYSTEM SEEMS TO BE DAMAGED. IT KEEPS SHUTTING DOWN MY SYSTEMS SAYING TO PRESERVE BATTERY. AND WHEN AND IF MY SENSORS GO OFF, THEY HAVE A DIFFERENT SOUND AS IF IT'S NOT RECEIVING ENOUGH POWER TO NOTIFY ME OF POTENTIAL DANGER. ALSO, WHEN I'M LISTENING TO MY RADIO WITH THE ENGINE OFF, THE CAR SHUTS DOWN EVERYTHING GIVING A DISPLAY INDICATION THAT THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE BATTERY AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. ALL SYSTEMS SEEM TO BE WEAKENED, AND LACKING FULL POWER AND FULLY ASSISTING IN WHICH IT WAS INTENDED AND DESIGNED. BACK-UP CAMERA: CAMERA CONSISTENTLY GOES BLACK OR BLANK WHEN I'M IN REVERSE. SOMETIMES IT DISPLAYS MOMENTARILY AND THEN BLACKS OUT UPON MY REVERSING. THERE HAS BEEN SEVERAL INCIDENTS WHERE I HAVE COME CLOSE TO HITTING SOMEONE BACKING OUT/UP/IN, AS THE REAR VIEW CAMERA WITH BLANK OUT WHILE DOING SO. ALSO AT TIMES THERE IS NO TOO CLOSE WARNING FROM THE CAMERA OR SENSORS AROUND. (NOTE) PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE ABOVE-MENTIONED DOES NOT IN ANY WAY CONSTITUTE, OR IS LIMITED TO THE COMPLETE EXPERIENCE AND OR EXPOSURE TO THE SAFTY ONGOING ISSUES THAT EXSIST. The back up camera does not work. I don't know the exact date when it began not working, but it's been many months. This may be due to a faulty electrical or computer system. Occasionally, an error message will appear on screen which states the obvious -- that the camera is not working -- and to contact the dealer. I received a recall notice in the mail on May 9, 2025, but the repair parts are still not available (August 22, 2025), which is 15 weeks after I received the recall notice. This is an excessive amount of time to wait. Since so much time has passed, it seems quite possible that the manufacturer does not intend to ever repair this defect as it is an older vehicle. This is worthy of investigation. At the very least, a status update should be given to owners.

This complaint actually encompasses 3 of my Ford/Lincoln vehicles. I cared for the other 2 on my own. Every lug nut needs to be repaired before I can replace my questionable safe tires! This is a manufacturer defect! 3 vehicle needing every lug nut replaced is a joke!! The 'word' is that they are swollen!!! Absolutely nothing that I am responsible for. Please investigate. This is a scam and enormous injustice. I think I replace 1 lug nut in my prior 40 years of driving and was because it was broken!!!!

The fuel system hasdid also the water pump and the AC unit.

Rear camera operates irregularly. Sometimes camera works and sometimes it doesn’t. When shifting into R, we never know if rear camera will work or not. This is a very unsafe condition as it limits our ability to view images behind us when backing up. Vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Camera has not been inspected by a service center due to cost of repair or replacement.

The contact owns a 2015 Lincoln MKC. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V331000 (Latches/Locks/Linkages). The contact stated that the rear driver's side door failed to open as needed. The dealer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that she would need to pay for the diagnostic test and repair. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.

The contact owns a 2015 Lincoln MKC. The contact stated that while stopped at a red traffic light, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact was able to restart the vehicle each time after the stall. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, but the failure could not be diagnosed since there was no fault codes retrieved. The independent mechanic informed the contact of NHTSA campaign number: 15V005000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the Vin was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.

WHEN STARTING THE VEHICLE THE WRENCH LIGHT APPEARS AND ALSO THE ADVANCE AUTOTRAC WARNING. ALSO MY SIGNAL LIGHTS BLINK VERY FAST. THEY BOTH GO OFF FOR AWHILE AND THE SIGNAL LIGHTS BLINK SLOW AGAIN, BUT WILL REAPPEAR ONCE STARTING THE VEHICLE AGAIN. CAR SEEMS TO STALL WHEN THIS HAPPENS. DEALER SAYS THEY CAN'T FIND AND ISSUE AND BULBS SEEM TO WORK FINE.

WHEN THE CAR SIT IN THE SUN OR IN DIRECT HEAT TOO LONG, THE BACK-UP CAMERA WILL NOT WORK AND ON THE NAVIGATION SCREEN, IT WILL SAY CAMERA NOT WORKING, CONTACT DEALERSHIP. WHEN I PULL IN MY GARAGE AND OR THE TEMPERATURE OF THE CAR COOL DOWN, THEN THE CAMERA STARTS BACK WORKING. IT ONLY DO THIS IN THE SUMMER TIME. IT'S GOING ON A SEVERAL YEARS OF DOING THIS. THE MOST DAY THAT THIS HAPPENED WAS ON 5/20/19. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP BACK IN 2017 AND THEY WANTED ME TO SHOW PROOF THAT DAY BUT IT DIDN'T HAPPEN THAT DAY. DEALERSHIP HAVE RECORD OF ME REPORTING THIS.

SPONTANEOUS ACCELERATION WITHOUT OPERATOR ERROR OR PARTICIPATION WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. CRUISE CONTROL WAS NOT ON AT THE TIME. THE VEHICLE JUST ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN. ALSO, WINDSHIELD WIPERS INCREASED IN SPEED WITHOUT OPERATOR PARTICIPATION. EACH OCCURRENCE WAS UNRELATED WITH THE OTHER.

MY MKC WAS ONE OF THE FIRST MANUFACTURED. IT CAME WITH MICHELIN TIRES. AT 33,000 MILES I HAD TO REPLACE A TIRE DUE TO A NAIL IN THE SIDEWALL- IT TOOK THE DEALER 3 WEEKS TO FIND ONE. TODAY I WAS JUST TOLD TWO MORE TIRES NEED TO BE REPLACED ON THE CAR BUT THEY ARE NOT AVAILABLE!1 UNBELIEVABLE! I HAVE A 2015 CAR THAT CAN'T BE DRIVEN BECAUSE THEY USED MICHELIN TIRES THAT CAN'T BE BOUGHT! LINCOLN SHOUL DBE MADE TO PAY FOR UPGRADED TIRES FOR ALL 4 WHEELS NOW PLEASE- I CAN'T WAIT FOR WEEKS TO GET A TIRE!

I LIVE IN THE MIDWEST AND IT WAS COLD OUTSIDE AND I WAS DRIVING HOME WITH MY BRAND NEW STATE OF THE ART LINCOLN. WHEN I WAS HEADING HOME MY CAR INDICATED LOW BATTERY, WHICH I ASSUMED WOULD CHARGE AS I CONTINUED TO DRIVE. NEXT THING I KNOW, EVERYTHING WAS TURNING OFF (ALL INTERNAL DISPLAYS, HEADLIGHTS, WIPERS, STEERING) DUE TO CONSERVING BATTERY WHILE I WAS ON A MAJOR INTERSTATE IN A BLIZZARD. I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO DIE, ON THE INTERSTATE IN A BLIZZARD AT 60 MPH. I FINALLY GOT OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND IT WENT INTO PARK. THE DEALER CALLED AND STATED IT WAS A BAD ALTERNATOR. GREAT, MY ISSUE IS THE BATTERY VOLTAGE IS SO LOW THAT THE COMBINATION WITH TEMP AND ALTERNATOR EVERYTHING SHUT OFF IN SUCH A QUICK MODE IT GAVE ME NO TIME TO SAFELY EXIT OFF THE ROAD. THE CAR IS NOT DESIGNED TO SUPPORT THIS SITUATION AND I HAVE THE COLD CLIMATE PACKAGE, THIS IS WHY WE ARE PAYING A HIGH PRICE FOR ENGINEERS TO DO THEIR JOB AND UNDERSTAND HOW THE SYSTEMS ACT TOGETHER. HOW IS THE GOVERNMENT AND MANUFACTURE ALLOWING THIS SITUATION TO HAPPEN. MY LIFE AND BEING A MOTHER TO THREE KIDS IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN A SMALL COST REDUCTION.
