I was driving my car and a car pulled in front of me I pressed a little harder on the brakes and after that the brakes went to the floor. I brought to my mechanic and he said that the seal on hydraulic brake was broken

The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where he was informed that the vehicle no longer qualified for the 10 years/100,000-mile recall repair. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure and referred him to the NHTSA for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 63,000.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE REMAINED AT THE DEALER UNREPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURED THREE TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 74,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

A VALVE STICKS IN THE HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT OF THE ANTI LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM WHEN IT IS ACTIVATED WHEN HEAVY BRAKING THAT CREATED A VERY SOFT BRAKE PEDAL WHEN BRAKING BECAUSE BRAKE FLUID IS BEING DIVERTED THRU THE ABS SYSTEM WHEN IT SHOULDN'T BE. I NOTICED THERE WAS A SAFETY RECALL ON FORD, LINCOLN'S UP TO A 2010 MODEL. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON MY MODEL VEHICLE ALSO.
