TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1994 MAZDA 626. THE VEHICLE WAS OVERHEATING AND A NOISE WAS COMING FROM THE BRAKES. THE MECHANIC DIDN'T CHECK THE OVERHEATING FAILURE. HOWEVER, STATED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD A TERRIBLE VIBRATION. THE MECHANIC REBUILT THE FRONT END. AFTER THE REPAIRS WERE PERFORMED THE VEHICLE WOULD PULL FROM THE LEFT TO THE RIGHT, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT DRIVE STRAIGHT , AND THE BRAKES WERE COMPLETELY DAMAGED. THE SECOND REPAIR SHOP STATED THAT THEY COULDN'T REPAIR THE VEHICLE DUE TO THE DAMAGES. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE CURRENT AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 103696 ,AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 104,000. *AK THE CONSUMER STATED PRIOR TO THE MOST RECENT REPAIRS THE FOLLOWING SERVICES WERE PERFORMED: NEW RADIATOR, COMPLETE TRANSMISSION SERVICE, ENGINE TUNED, AND NEW TIRES. CONSUMER CALLED COMPLAINING ABOUT HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE FRONT COIL SPRING. DEALER STATED THAT A COIL SPRING WAS BROKEN BUT CONSUMER HAD TO PAY FOR THE WORK. MANUFACTURE STATED THAT THEY WOULD GET BACK TO THE CONSUMER BUT IT NEVER HAPPENED. *PH

THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE WAS PUNCTURED AS A RESULT OF A BROKEN COIL SPRING. THE CAR WAS NEVER IN AN ACCIDENT OR DRIVEN UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE THAT WOULD CAUSE SUCH A FAILURE. I FEEL THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED A SERIOUS ACCIDENT AND THAT MAZDA SHOULD RECALL THE VEHICLE FOR INSPECTION AND REIMBURSE THOSE INDIVIDUALS WHO HAD TO REPLACE THEIR SPRINGS, STRUTS, AND DAMAGED TIRES AS A RESULT OF THE SPRING FRACTURE.

SINCE OWNERSHIP OF VEHICLE, HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING ROUGH IDLE OR VIBRATION WHILE IN NEUTRAL AND WARM ENGINE, MANY ATTEMPTS WERE MADE AT ADJUSTING THE IDLE SPEED TO ELIMINATE THE PROBLEM, BUT PROBLEM KEPT REOCCURING UNTIL IT WAS FINALLY DISCOVERED THAT THE ONBOARD COMPUTER WAS RESETTING THE IDLE TO ORIGINAL SETTING, ROUGH IDLING BECAME MORE DISTURBING AND WAS RECOMMENDED BY DEALER TO ADD CLEANING AGENT TO FUEL -ENGINE PERFORMANCE SEEMED TO IMPROVE BUT NO CHANGE TO ROUGH IDLING,THE NEXT RECOMMENDATION WAS TO REPLACE TIMING BELT AND MOTOR MOUNTS, STILL ROUGH IDLING CONTINUED, SWAY BAR LINKS WERE ALSO REPLACED TO ELIMINATE A RATTLE IN THE FRONT END OF VEHICLE. *JB
