TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 MAZDA CX-9. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH, A SNAP NOISE WAS HEARD FROM THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THERE WAS NO WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT MANAGED TO DRIVE INTO A PARKING LOT AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS RECALLED AND REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V451000 (SUSPENSION) APPROXIMATELY TWO YEARS AGO, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE SAME DEALER (OAK LAWN MAZDA, 708-233-7700, LOCATED AT 6750 W 95TH ST, OAK LAWN, IL 60453) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE WARRANTY EXPIRED; THEREFORE, THE FAILURE WOULD NOT BE COVERED BY THE RECALL AGAIN. THIS PAST WEEKEND THEY WERE MORE DEEPLY ON THIS INSPECTION AND WHAT THEY FOUND IS THE RF LOW CONTROL ARM JOINT (BALL JOINT) HAS PLAY RF OUTER TIE ROD END HAS PLAY TOO (SEE ATTACHED REPORT FROM MAZDA) THE COSTS ESTIMATES TO FIX THIS PROBLEM IS ABOUT $587 PLUS TAXES.. WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT THE NOISE IS PROBABLY COMES FROM THIS ISSUES WHICH WAS SUPPOSED FIXED BY THE RECALL BUT AFTER 20000 MILES THIS ISSUES IS COMING AGAIN.. WHAT THEY SAY THIS IS NOT NORMAL KIND OF THIS REPAIRS COULD BE LONGER THAN 10 YEARS WITH NOT SUCH A ISSUES..
