I have reason to believe the dealership I bought my vehicle from rolled back my odometer. Upon checking my carfax information, 12/01/24, the odometer read 161,142, which the dealership did own my vehicle at this time. When I bought this car in April of 2025, the odometer was reading 130,000.
Transmission slipping. Not shifting correctly.
Tha dashboard is melted causing glares on very sunny days and makes driving difficult.
my Mazda 03 dashboard is melting, and I am not able to see out the window... I have talked to dealer and manufactory, and they will not pay the whole amount knowing it's a safety issue. I don't understand how they can sell product on car that is malfunctioning and a safety issue. I bought the car brand new in 2010 and didn't have any issues until this year. These vehicles have a foam based dash board which is falling off in pieces and sections . This can cause choking hazard in small children adults etc also if air bags where to deploy this section would more then likely explode in many hundreds of pieces causing blinding .As well as it decays or falls off in these pieces children may place objects in there mouths or chew or eat on .The dash board does not seem to be able ro handle a air bag deploy situation . I would have thought this would have been replaced or recalled prior to my intation of this matter. Also dash may contain harmful or chemical agents I'm it that would not be safe to child nor adult.
I am writing to file a complaint regarding the defective dashboard of my Mazda 3. The dash of the car under the windshield has become melty and shines excessively, making it extremely difficult to see when the sun is shining on the dashboard. The reflection on the windshield is so intense that it affects the visibility of the road and makes it hard to see clearly. I was informed by the dealership that there was an extended service available for this issue, but it expired after 10 years. I was never informed of this extended service and only now, after my dashboard has become extremely affected, did I find out about it. This is extremely concerning as the dashboard is an important safety feature of the car and the reflection from the dashboard is affecting my visibility, putting myself and other drivers on the road in danger. I am extremely frustrated with the lack of transparency and communication from the dealership regarding this extended service and the fact that my dashboard has become defective despite proper maintenance and upkeep of the car. I demand that Mazda take responsibility for the defective dashboard and rectify the issue as soon as possible. I kindly request that the NHTSA investigates this matter and ensures that Mazda takes the necessary actions to resolve this issue for all affected car owners.
Mazda, had issued a recall in 2020. however, I was out of the country and due to covid was unable to get the recalled part fixed. Now Mazda is refusing to fix it. I have contacted them multiple times and they just give me the run around and say that the date has passed and they will not fix it anymore.
Said vehicle has 2 Recall issues that are listed as expired. 1. It has not had the defective Takata Air Bags replaced Campaign SSPB3 started 12/1/2017. 2. It has a Sticky Dashboard Campaign SSP99 started 11/30/2015. A third recall for a Seat Lifer Link was completed for Campaign 0917B on 9/13/2017. I would like Mazda to take responsibility for the 2 expired Recalls for the Air Bags and the Sticky Dashboard. Mazda had the vehicle in one of their service centers 9/17/2017 when the Seat Recall was completed. Mazda’s policy of checking for recalls failed otherwise these Recalls would have been completed. Both Recalls impact the safe operation of said vehicle.
My car has a sticky-melting dashboard problem. When the sunlight hits it, the reflection on the windshield makes seeing ahead difficult. The dealer inspected it but they say there's nothing they can do about it.
The dashboard in my 2010 Mazda 3 has melted significantly throughout the years. It has become hazardous and tough to operate this vehicle. The dashboard is glossy, sticky, and believe a slight odor. I tried to slow its deterioration by using a sunshade when parked. It not only did not help, the dashboard just ruined each shade with a sticky, tar-like, black residue. No dealership has offered to help me without trying to charge me the total price of replacement, plus their labor costs. I regularly check to see if there has been a new recall, but there has not. I can not sell this car without feeling guilty for endangering others. I am unlikely to return to Mazda as a paying customer since they shy away from treating my family like one. I hope this issue is fixed adequately for me and anyone else suffering from this issue.
When we were cleaning the car we took off the dash cover. The dash was all cracked and sticky.we don't know when it occured.we bought it in 2010 new.

The dashboard is actually melting. It’s sticky and shiny and causes a reflection on the windshield that Makes it very difficult to see.
I have been experiencing unintended acceleration while in D (drive) but stopped with my foot on the brake. For instance, when fully stopped at a light, the car will suddenly experience a small burst of acceleration and propel forward. I see the engine rpm go up when this occurs even though I am stopped. This is very scary and uncomfortable as I feel like I lose control of the car during those times and can potentially hit another car or person in front of me.

I BELIEVE THAT (RECALL CAMPAIGN 0917B) SAFETY RECALL APPLIES TO MY 2010 MAZDA3 GT, ALTHOUGH IT TOOK OVER 2.5 YEARS TO OCCUR (AUGUST 2017) THE COMPLETE FALLOUTS DIDN'T HAPPEN UNTIL NOW...(DECEMBER 2020) INITIALLY, FELT A POP IN MY BACK (FROM THE FRAME?) WHILE I WAS DRIVING, PULLED OVER AND THE SEATS MOVED FINE SO DIDN'T THINK ANYTHING OF. MEANWHILE, A DISTINCT RATTLING OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY BEHIND ME. TOOK THE CAR TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP (PAID THEIR SPECIAL SERVICE DIAGNOSTIC FEE OF ($165+) WITH 'MASTER TECHNICIANS' WHO KNOW ABOUT THIS SEAT RECALL, YET, FOUND NOTHING WRONG WITH THE SEAT OR EVEN LOOKED IF YOU ASK ME, YET WANTED ME TO CORRECT THE NOISE BY BY INSTALLING BOTH FRONT AND REAR NEW SUSPENSION (~$1000). TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A SUSPENSION SPECIALIST AND FOUND ONLY ONE (1) PART OF THE SUSPENSION THAT MAY HAVE REQUIRED CORRECTING BUT WAS STILL IN GOOD CONDITION. I ASKED IF THE REMAINING SUSPENSION COMPONENTS WERE SAFE AND IF THEY WOULD NEED REPLACEMENT. AND THEY SAID'NO' ONLY ONE (1), AND IT WAS BARELY DAMAGED, BUT I REPLACED IT ANYWAY. TOOK IT BACK FOR AN OIL CHANGE SINCE THEY WERE TREATING ME HONESTLY. TWO DAYS LATER, AS I WAS LEAVING MY WORK, THE SEAT FELL OFF THE RIGHT RAIL AS I WAS DRIVING. IN RETROSPECT, THE PUSH NUTS ON THE RIGHT SIDE POPPED OFF AND THE DRIVER'S SEAT BACK FRAME HAS LOST ITS INTEGRITY, SO I SAT ASKEW. UNABLE TO DRIVE SAFELY UNLESS A PIECE OF WOOD IS HOLDING THE SEAT TO THE RAIL. IS IT POSSIBLE TO STILL REPAIR MY CAR'S DRIVER'S SEAT UNDER THE AFOREMENTIONED SAFETY RECALL? THE PROBLEM APPEARED AFTER THE WARRANTY PERIOD EXPIRED WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN A MORE HUMID CLIMATE IN LOUISIANA FOR 2 YEARS.
NOTICED A PROBLEM WITH THE DASH FEELING STICKY THIS WEEKEND (LIKE THE DASH IS MELTING). THE STICKY AREA CREATES A GLARE ON THE WINDSHIELD. WITH THE HIGH TEMPS, IT WILL LIKELY ONLY GET WORSE. CALLED THE DEALERSHIP TO SEE WHAT COULD BE DONE. FOUND OUT THERE WAS A WARRANTY EXTENSION THAT LITERALLY EXPIRED FOR ME A WEEK AGO. I NEVER RECEIVED ANY NOTIFICATION ABOUT THE POSSIBLE ISSUE OR WARRANTY EXTENSION. WOULD REALLY LIKE TO GET THIS COVERED SINCE I JUST BARELY MISSED THE WINDOW.

BUT IT CONTINUED TO STAY IN 5, THEN ALL OF SUDDEN IT JUMPED TO 3 AS I SLOW DOWN A BIT THEN ALL OF SUDDEN TO 1 WHICH MADE THE CAR JERK A BIT BOTH TIMES DUE TO GEAR DROP AND CAUSE THE CAR TO REV AT A HIGHER RPM. WHICH ALMOST COST AN ACCIDENT. THIS IS HAPPENING QUITE OFTEN SO I HAD TO SWITCH TO NORMAL DRIVE MODE( D) ON ANOTHER OCCASION THE ABS, TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT WOULD TURN ON AFTER MAKING A QUICK LEFT OR RIGHT TURN BUT THIS HAPPEN ONLY A FEW TIME, THE ONLY WAY TO TURN THE LIGHTS OFF WAS TO PARK SOMEWHERE SAFE AND TURN THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON TO REMOVE THE LIGHTS. NOW IT'S SUMMER TIME AN THIRD PROBLEM HAS APPEAR, FOR SOME RANDOM REASON AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM IS GOING CRAZY AND BLOWING HOT AIR INSTEAD OF COLD AIR IN THE CRAZY TEXAS SUMMER HEAT, WHAT'S EVEN MORE CRAZY IS DRIVER SIDE BLOW EXTREMELY HOT AIR AND PASSENGER SIDE BLOW HOT AIR BUT AT A LOWER DEGREES. SOMETIME EVEN SMELLING A SMOKY BURNING PLASTIC SMELL. I FIND IT EXTREMELY UNSAFE FOR A CAR TO HAVE PROBLEMS LIKE SHIFTING AND CAUSING THE CAR TO LAG IN SHIFTING GEAR PROPERLY WHICH CAUSE TO JERK IN MOVING TRAFFIC WHICH CAN CAUSE A ACCIDENT. TO ADD EVEN ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL MIGHT HAVE ISSUES WHICH SCARES ME EVEN MORE. NOW EVEN HOT AIR WITH MAYBE A BURNING PLASTIC SMELL. HAS BEEN TAKEN RALPH THAYER DEALERSHIP 3 TIMES -- AUG2018, JAN2019, FEB2019. EACH TIME VEHICLE KEPT FOR A WEEK BUT UNABLE TO DUPLICATE ISSUE. DATA RECORDER WAS INSTALLED IN JAN2019. DESPITE A SEVERAL MINUTE LONG EPISODE ON FEB 22, 2019 IN WHICH THE CAR BEHAVED ERRATICALLY (BUCKLING AND JOLTING) AND WOULDN'T ACCELERATE MORE THAN 60 MPH WHILE THE RPMS WERE HIGH (4-5) FOR SEVERAL MINUTES, THIS WAS SOMEHOW NOT SENSED BY THE DATA RECORDER. MY OWN GUESS IS AN ISSUE WITH THE PCM OR THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE. HAVE SUAS AFFECTED TRANSMISSION? SEEMS TO BE A KNOWN ISSUE YET THE DEALER/MAZDA REACTION IS PERFUNCTORY AT BEST. NO COMMITMENT TO RESOLVE. E.G. BECAUSE MY DRIVING WAS LIMITED WHILE THE RECORDER WAS IN, I REQUESTED THAT IT BE LEFT IN FOR 3 MONTHS. MAZDA REFUSED, STATING THAT IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN (AND IT WILL), THEY'LL REINSTALL THE RECORDER. THAT A COLLISION HASN'T HAPPENED IS JUST LUCK. I TOOK MY 2010 MAZDA3 IN FOR RECALL OF SEAT LINK ADJUSTERS AND TO SERVICE MY MELTING DASHBOARD THAT CAUSES AN UNSAFE GLARE ON THE WINDSHIELD WHILE DRIVING IN SUNNY CONDITIONS. THE DEALERSHIP VERIFIED THE RECALL AND SERVICE IN MAY 2017 AND WAS INFORMED THAT PARTS WILL NEED TO BE ORDERED. WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD RECEIVE A CALL BACK IN A WEEK OR TWO. AFTER SEVERAL REPEATED ATTEMPTS AT CALLING AND EMAILING THE DEALERSHIP, I CANNOT REACH THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT TO CHECK ON THE STATUS OF ORDERED PARTS. THE TIME FRAME FOR THE REPAIR FROM THE UNSAFE CONDITIONS OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT THAT MOVES WHILE I SHIFT, AND THE HORRENDOUS GLARE FROM THE MELTING DASHBOARD, IS TO SLOW FOR RESOLUTION. IT HAS BEEN 3 MONTHS SINCE HAVING MY CAR INSPECTED AT ROSENTHAL MAZDA/GAITHERSBURG MAZDA AT 625 NORTH FREDERICK AVENUE IN GAITHERSBURG, MD 20879. THE CAR BECOMES UNCONTROLLABLE WHEN THE SEAT ROCKS BACK CAUSING THE DRIVER TO HOLD THEMSELVES UPRIGHT TRYING TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE. THE SEAT EXHIBITS CHARACTERISTICS THAT CAN ONLY BE CALLED UNSAFE. THIS DEFECT WILL ULTIMATELY RESULT IN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT WITH INJURY OR DEATH. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED WHEN THIS WAS FIRST NOTICED. THE DEFECT WITH THE SEAT FRAME ALSO RENDERS THE SEAT BELT USELESS AND IS SAFETY HAZARD COMPOUNDED BY THE SEAT FRAME BREAKING LOOSE. THIS DEFECT APPEARS TO HAPPEN ONLY ON THE 2010 MAZDA 3 MODEL AND THERE ARE MANY ADDITIONAL COMPLAINTS, BOTH HERE AND IN PUBLIC FORUMS. MAZDA NEEDS TO RECALL FOR REPLACEMENT OF A SEAT FRAME THAT IS BUILT SO AS NOT TO BREAK IN NORMAL USE. WHY THIS HAS NOT HAPPENED IS NEGLIGENT. THE GLARE CHANGES AS YOU DRIVE AND MAKES THE ROAD APPEAR AS IF SOMETHING IS IN FRONT OF YOU ON THE ROAD. THE GLARE CAN BE FROM 5 INCHES DIRECTLY IN YOUR LINE OF SIGHT TO GOING ACROSS AT LEAST 2/3 OF YOUR VIEWING LINE THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD-CAUSING IT TO LOOK AS IF SOMEONE HAS THROWN SLICK OIL OR A SILVER SHEET OF METAL IN THE ROAD. HAVE SWERVED QUITE A FEW TIMES (DEPENDING ON THE DIRECTION I AM DRIVING), CAN'T SEE WHEN PEOPLE STEP OFF OF A CURB, AS THE GLARE COMES IN THE SOON AND CAN BE THERE FROM THE START OF YOUR DRIVE OR APPEAR OUT OF THE BLUE AS YOU CHANGE DIRECTIONS OR PARK. YOU CAN'T HELP TO RESPOND TO THE GLARE WHEN IT APPEARS-ESPECIALLY WHEN ON UNFAMILIAR ROADS. THE SMELL IS OF BURNING PLASTIC. I LIVE IN FLORIDA ANY DAY OVER 80 DEGREES IN THE SHADE OR WHEN PARKED DIRECTLY IN THE SUN CAUSES THE DASHBOARD TO EMIT A NOXIOUS SMELL, GET SOFT AND GOOEY. BUGS, INSECT DROPPINGS, DUST, AND LINT GET STUCK IN THE DASHBOARD AND CAUSE GLARE. I DRIVE AT LEAST 3 HOUR/DAY MINIMUM. THE SMELL CAUSES A HEADACHE/SORE THROAT/NAUSEA. I CAN'T PUT A VISOR TO BLOCK THE SUN-IT GETS STUCK IN THE MELTING DASH AND THE VISOR. WHEN YOU REMOVE THE VISOR IT SPLATTERS "GOO/PLASTIC" ONTO THE WINDSHIELD, WHICH CAN ONLY BE REMOVED WITH A RAZOR. RISKING GETTING THE HOT GOO ON YOUR HAND/ARM/FACE. YOU CANNOT WIPE AWAY ANY OF THE MELTING PART AS IT IS REALLY STICKY AND THE DASHBOARD ONLY CONTINUES TO MELT. I SELL REAL ESTATE AND NO LONGER TAKE CUSTOMERS INTO MY CAR NOT ALLOWING ME TO DO BUSINESS THE WAY MOST SALES PEOPLE DO, BECAUSE CLIENTS COMPLAIN OF THE SMELL/FEELING SICK.

IT CANNOT BE WIPED, AND THE SHINY SURFACE PRODUCES A SEVERE GLARE RIGHT IN THE LINE OF SIGHT FOR THE DRIVER. NO CLEANERS OR CHEMICALS HAVE BEEN USED ON THE DASH, ONLY A DRY CLOTH.

IT IS LOCATED DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT AND CREATES A GLARE ON THE WINDSHIELD WHEN THE SUN SHINES UPON IT. THE GLARE IS A DISTRACTION AND, AT TIMES, MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO SEE THINGS. I NOTICED THE GLARE AND THE MELTING DASHBOARD ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO.
MY 2010 MAZDA3'S DASH HAS MELTED! IT STARTED ABOUT A YEAR AGO AND IS CAUSING ME TO HAVE TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER VEHICLE IF I CAN'T GET THIS FIXED SOON. IT IS RIDICULOUS THAT A CAR MANUFACTURER CAN'T FIX THIS PROBLEM OR EVEN MAKE A CAR THAT DOESN'T MELT IN THE SUN. I WAS GOING TO GET ANOTHER MAZDA BUT NOW THAT THIS HAPPENED I DOUBT IT! THERE IS A HORRIBLE GLARE AND I CAN'T SEE WHEN THE SUN IS OUT! PLUS THERE IS LINT AND BUGS STUCK ALL IN IT LIKE A GLUE TRAP! AM I IN THE TWIGHTLIGHT ZONE? AND READING ALL OF THE MAZDA EXPERIENCES WITH OTHERS I AM DISCOURAGED.
MY DASHBOARD IS ALSO MELTING LIKE OTHERS HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT. IT STARTED ABOUT 36 MONTHS IN AND ONLY GETS WORSE. IT'S NOW A STICKY MESS THAT REFLECTS ON TO THE WINDSHIELD WHICH CAUSES GLARE WHEN LOOKING OUT THE WINDSHIELD. IT SEEMS TO BE DANGEROUS TO DRIVE ON SUNNY DAYS IN FLORIDA. IT'S DISTRACTING AND IS UNSAFE FOR THE DRIVER AS WELL FOR ANYTHING THAT IS IN THE AREA OF THE GLARE OUTSIDE THE CAR. THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. WHEN BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF MY SERVICE GARAGE THE MECHANIC TOLD ME THAT HE HAD SEEN IT ON ABOUT 1 OF EVERY 5 CARS SERVICED. WHEN I INQUIRED WHAT IT WOULD COST TO GET IT REPAIRED/REPLACED THE GUY SAID IT WOULD BE CLOSE TO $2000. THAT'S CRAZY FOR SOMETHING THAT IS OBVIOUSLY A MANUFACTURING ISSUE.

MY DASHBOARD HAS STARTED MELTING. IT CAUSES A HUGE GLARE ACROSS THE FRONT WINDSHIELD AND MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO DRIVE. THIS IS AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN. I DID PUT MY CAR IN SERVICE AT THE MAZDA DEALERSHIP IN CLEAR LAKE, TEXAS AND IT SAT THERE FOR OVER A MONTH. THEY DID GIVE ME A LOANER CAR BUT THEY CALLED ME TO DROP OFF THE LOANER AND PICK UP MY CAR, I EXPRESSED HOW TERRIFIED I AM TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE AND ASKED IF I COULD STAY IN THE LOANER UNTIL THE ISSUE WAS RESOLVED, AND THEY SAID, "IT WAS NOT THEIR PROBLEM" AND GAVE ME THE MAZDA CORPORATE NUMBER "BECAUSE IT WAS MAZDA'S PROBLEM NOT THE DEALERSHIP". I CALLED MAZDA AND THEY TOLD ME TO RETURN THE LOANER AND TO PUT A TOWEL OVER THE MELTED DASHBOARD(WHICH I HAVE TRIED BUT CAUSE A REFLECTION). I AM FURIOUS THAT MY SAFETY IS NOT A PRIORITY TO THESE PEOPLE. I NEED HELP GETTING THIS ISSUE RESOLVED.

WHEN I BOUGHT MY MAZDA 3,, IT SEEMED LIKE A GREAT BUY MONTHS LATER THE DASH STARTED MELTING AWAY, I HAVE CALLED MAZDA AND THEY HAVE NEVER RETURNED MY CALLS OR FIXED THE PROBLEM. THIS CAN BE DANGEROUS AS ITS MELTING AND IS WELL OVER 100 DEGREES IN THE CAR, IF ONE OF MY NEPHEWS OR DAUGHTER WAS TO TOUCH IT, THEY COULD VERY WELL BE BURNED SERIOUSLY AS IT IS VERY STICKY AND GOOPY.

THERE IS A HORRIBLE GLARE THE SHINE FROM THE DASHBOARD CREATES ON THE FRONT WINDSHIELD. IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE OUT OF THE FRONT WINDSHIELD WHEN THE SUN IS OUT BECAUSE OF THIS GLARE. A DASHBOARD COVER IS NOT AN OPTION BECAUSE OF HOW STICKY THE DASHBOARD IS; A COVER WILL DEFINITELY GET STUCK TO THE DASH AND DESTROY IT. I HAVE DONE SOME RESEARCH ONLINE AND THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF CLAIMS FOR MELTING DASHBOARDS FOR MODELS BETWEEN 2009 AND 2011. THIS IS SUCH A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD, IT IS DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND WHY THE MANUFACTURER HAS NOT BEEN FORCED TO RECALL THESE FAULTY PARTS.

CONSIDERING THE PLETHORA OF COMPLAINTS AND STATEMENTS REGARDING THE SAFETY ISSUE OF LIMITED VISIBILITY DUE TO REFLECTION, IT IS VASTLY IRRESPONSIBLE THAT MAZDA HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM. IN ADDITION, AFTER SITTING IN THE SUN FOR JUST A FEW HOURS, THE MELTING DASHBOARD PUTS OFF VARIOUS ODORS THAT I AM SURE ARE PROBABLY NOT HEALTHY TO BREATHE IN. I HAVE HEARD OF SEVERAL OTHER MAZDA OWNERS WITH THE SAME COMPLAINT OF THEIR DASHBOARDS MELTING AND MAZDA NOT WANTING TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM ESPECIALLY WHEN VEHICLES ARE OUT OF THE WARRANTY PERIOD.
MY 2010 MAZDA3 HAS A BLACK TAR-LIKE SUBSTANCE THAT HAS COATED THE SOFT DASHBOARD. I FIRST NOTICED IT LAST SUMMER (2014). THIS DEFECT HAS CAUSED A HUGE GLARE ACROSS MY WINDSHIELD THAT LIMITS MY VISIBILITY ANY TIME LIGHT IS REFLECTED OFF OF IT.
THE DASHBOARD ON MY 2010 MAZDA 3 IS MELTING. IT APPEARS TO BE VERY STICKY AND REFLECTIVE. IT HAPPENED ABOUT A WEEK AGO AND IS SPREADING QUICKLY. I HAVE NOT SPILLED ANYTHING ON IT, I HAVE NOT USED ANY HARSH CHEMICALS TO CLEAN THE DASH, AND I KEEP THE CAR IN GENERAL AS CLEAN AS I CAN. WHEN I AM DRIVING INTO THE SUN THERE IS A GLARE/REFLECTION ON THE WINDSHIELD THAT I HAVE A HARD TIME SEEING THROUGH. I AM UNABLE TO CLEAN IT BECAUSE IT IS SO STICKY. IF THE AFFECTED AREA KEEPS SPREADING, THEN THE GLARE ON WINDSHIELD WILL BECOME LARGER AND LARGER. I DO NOT WANT THE GLARE TO BECOME SO BIG I CAN'T SEE CARS SLOWING DOWN IN FRONT OF ME OR ANYTHING ELSE OF THAT NATURE. THE DEALERSHIPS WILL NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. IN MY MIND THIS IS A DEFECTIVE PART AND SHOULD BE REPLACED.

APPROXIMATELY 2 YEARS AGO I NOTICED MY DASH BOARD WAS WET LOOKING AND STICKY. IT HAS PROGRESSIVELY GOTTEN WORSE. MY DASH BOARD IS MELTING. THIS IS A HUGE SAFTEY HAZZARD AS THE GLARE FROM THE MELTING DASH AFFECTS MY VISION WHEN DRIVING DURING THE DAYLIGHT. *JS
I HAVE A 2010 MAZDA 3 WITH 38,000. THE DASHBOARD IS MELTING. *TR
A LOW SPEED REAR-END COLLISION RESULTED IN AN IMMEDIATE EXPLOSION OF THE VEHICLE, CAUSING A LARGE EXTERNAL FIRE AND SMOKE TO ENTER THE CABIN UPON IMPACT. THE STRUCTURAL DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE OCCURRED ON THE FRONT-RIGHT; THE FIRE DESTROYED THE ENTIRE FRONT 2/3 OF THE VEHICLE (TOTALING THE VEHICLE). THE CONCERN IS THAT SUCH A LOW SPEED IMPACT SHOULD NOT CAUSE AN EXPLOSION WHICH COULD POTENTIALLY HAVE INJURED OR KILLED THE DRIVER AND PASSENGERS.

MAZDA3 REAR ENDED A MOVING TRUCK. MAZDA3 WAS GOING ABOUT 45 MPH AND TRUCK WAS NOT MOVING. UPON IMPACT, THE MAZDA3 IMMEDIATELY CAUGHT FIRE AT THE FRONT OF THE CAR. FIRE DEPARTMENT HAD TO EXTINGUISH FIRE. FIRE DAMAGED CAR. CAR SHOULD NOT HAVE CAUGHT FIRE.
