I TOOK MY VEHICLE WHEN I RECEIVED THE FIRST NOTICE AND WENT TO JIM FALK MAZDA IN KAHULUI,MAUI,HAWAII AND THEY TOLD ME SORRY WE DON'T HAVE THE PART TO REPLACE YET BUT WILL CALL ME WHEN IT COMES IN AND THAT WAS ABOUT A YEAR AGO.NOW I RECEIVED THE 2ND AND FINAL NOTICE AND I CALLED TWO DAYS AGO TO THE SAME PLACE AND AGAIN THEY TOLD ME THEY WERE GOING TO LOOK INTO IT AND CALL ME BACK. WELL NO CALL BACK YET AND I AM GETTING VERY UPSET THAT THEY DON'T FEEL THAT THIS IS IMPORTANT TO CALL PEOPLE BACK TO FIX THIS IMPORTANT PROBLEM. I WANT TO COMPLAIN ABOUT MY RECALL NOT BEING REPLACED IN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME. GOING ON 11 MONTHS, STILL NO SOLUTION, AND I WAS TOLD NOT TO DRIVE WITH A PASSENGER UNTIL IT GETS FIXED. RIDICULOUS. AIRBAGS WERE RECALLED IN DECEMBER 2015. IN JANUARY 2016 I CALLED MAZDA TO GET THIS SCHEDULED AND WENT IN LATE FEBRUARY ONCE THE PARTS CAME IN. I WAS TOLD BOTH MY DRIVER AND PASSENGER AIRBAG WOULD BE REPLACED THAT DAY. WHEN I PICKED UP MY CAR I WAS TOLD ONLY THE DRIVERS SIDE HAD BEEN DONE AND I'D BE CONTACTED ABOUT THE PASSENGER SIDE SOON. ONE MONTH LATER I GET A CALL SAYING MY OTHER AIRBAG PART WAS IN. I CALLED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AND THEN WAS TOLD, NO WAIT, IT WASN'T. A FEW MONTHS LATER I RECEIVED A CALL CONFIRMING MY APPOINTMENT FOR MY AIRBAG. GREAT BUT I DIDN'T HAVE AN APPOINTMENT. I CALLED AND THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT BUT WOULD LOOK IN TO IT. 3 DAYS LATER I WAS CALLED AGAIN AND SAID MY PART WAS IN TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. SO I DID. I SKIPPED WORK TO BRING MY CAR IN, SHOW UP, AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS NO PART AND THERE NEVER WAS. I WAS TOLD THE PART WASN'T EVEN AVAILABLE AND NOT TO DRIVE MY CAR WITH A PASSENGER UNTIL ITS FIXED. I THEN RECEIVED CALLS FROM MAZDA'S CHICAGO OFFICE AND LETTER IN THE MAIL STATING INDEED, PARTS WEREN'T AVAILABLE YET AND REITERATED NOT TO DRIVE WITH A PASSENGER UNTIL ITS FIXED. THAT WAS OVER 4 MONTHS AGO AT THIS POINT. IT'S ABSURD THAT A RECALL THAT CAN SEVERELY INJURE MYSELF OR MY PASSENGERS HAS TAKEN 11 MONTHS WITH NO SOLUTION. AND TO BE TOLD "DON'T DRIVE WITH A PASSENGER" IS EVEN MORE ABSURD. I USE MY CAR FOR DAY TO DAY LIFE, THAT IS NOT AN OPTION. I JUST WANT MY RECALL FIXED. I KNOW MANY PEOPLE THAT HAD BOTH THEIR SIDES FIXED, WHY IS MINE TAKING 11 MONTHS AN COUNTING WITH MULTIPLE TIMES BEING SCREWED AROUND AND OVER 4 MONTHS OF SILENCE NOW? IN BOTH CASES NOW THE MANUFACTURER HAS SEND A SECOND NOTICE WEEKS AFTER THE FIRST REPLACEMENT OCCURRED INDICATING THE VEHICLE IS REQUIRED TO COME BACK FOR AN ADDITIONAL REPLACEMENT. IT IS A SIGNIFICANT INCONVENIENCE ONCE LET ALONG TWICE AND IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

WHILE I UNDERSTAND THAT THE DEFECT IS MAINLY FOR VEHICLES IN HOT HUMID CLIMATES HOW CAN THEY ASSUME JUST BECAUSE I'M IN WI I DON'T DRIVE THE VEHICLE IN OTHER STATES. ALSO IT GETS HOT AND HUMID HERE IN THE SUMMER TOO. PLEASE FORCE THEM TO COMPLY QUICKER.

VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONT END COLLISION WHILE TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 30MPH. THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED AND THE DRIVER WAS WEARING SAFETY BELT. AFTER EXITING VEHICLE, A FIRE WAS DISCOVERED NEAR THE BOTTOM OF THE B-POST. FIRE BURNED AND MELTED THE INTERIOR TRIM AND SEATBELT, AS WELL AS CAUSING HEAT DAMAGE TO THE DRIVER'S INTERIOR DOOR AND WINDOW. FIRE WAS EXTINGUISHED WITH A DRY CHEMICAL EXTINGUISHER. I WAS IN A FRONT-IMPACT COLLISION GOING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH. THE DAMAGE TO MY MAZDA 6 WAS VERY MINIMAL TO THE FENDER. THE TRUCK I HIT HAD NO DAMAGE WHATSOEVER. BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED IN THE VEHICLE. THE AUTO BODY SHOP SAID THEY COULD NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED IN SUCH A MINOR COLLISION. BOTH AIRBAGS NEED TO BE REPLACED AT A VERY COSTLY PRICE. *NM

2004 MAZDA 6S WAS INVOLVED IN A SINGLE CAR ACCIDENT. THE CAR WAS SPEEDING AND WENT OVER A CURB, AND THE DRIVER LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE BACK RIGHT END, FRONT END, AND BOTH SIDES HAD EXTENSIVE DAMAGE (THE VEHICLE WAS DECLARED TOTALED). THE CAR DID 1 COMPLETE ROLL-OVER DURING THE ACCIDENT, LANDING ON ALL 4 WHEELS AGAIN. NONE OF THE AIRBAGS IN THE VEHICLE DEPLOYED. I CONTACTED THE CAR MANUFACTURER TO FIND INFORMATION ABOUT WHEN THE AIRBAGS SHOULD DEPLOY, AND THEY TOLD ME "IT WAS NOT THEIR ISSUE", AND TO CONTACT MY INSURANCE COMPANY. ON THE 2004 MAZDA3 AFTER ABOUT 3000 MILES THE MAIN AIRBAG LIGHT ILLUMINATES, INDICATING A FAILURE OF SOME KIND IN THE SRS SYSTEM. THE TESTING SYSTEM RETURNS 2 OR 3 ERROR CODES HAVING TO DO WITH THE FRONT CRASH SENSOR. AND THE AIR BAG WILL NOT DEPLOY, FROM WHAT I CAN GATHER FROM INTERNET MESSAGE BOARDS. MAZDA IS HANDLING THIS ON A CASE BY CASE BASIS, RATHER THAN MAKING A BLANKET REPAIR. IT SEEMS THE FRONT CRASH SENSORS ARE TIGHTENED TOO MUCH AND CRACK, THEN ONCE THEY GET WET THEY ARE TRIPPED AND DISABLE THE SYSTEM. LOCAL DEALERS ARE SAYING YOU CAN NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE LIKE THIS AND ARE HOLDING CUSTOMERS CARS FOR WEEKS AT A TIME TILL PARTS COME IN. WHICH IN MOST CASES HAVE BEEN BACK ORDERED, SOME HAVE HAD THE SENSORS REPLACED 2 OR MORE TIMES. IN MY CASE A LOCAL DEALER (NOT THE PURCHASE DEALER) ARE TELLING ME THAT AN AFTER MARKET REMOTE START IS TOTALLY TO BLAME., AND WILL NOT DIAGNOSE THE CAR FURTHER UNTIL THE SYSTEM IS REMOVED. AND IT COULD HAVE VOIDED MY WARRANTY. THIS IS JUST NOT RIGHT. I AM CURRENTLY DRIVING A CAR I AM ASSUMING HAS NO AIRBAGS AND WITH NO OPTION TO GET IT LOOKED AT UNLESS I REMOVE A $300.00 ACCESSORY THAT WAS PROFESSIONALLY INSTALLED BY AN ELECTRONICS CENTER THAT DOES ALL THE WORK FOR THE DEALERSHIP I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM.
