Rear subframe rusted out, car is not safe to drive
I took my 2015 vehicle to the Mercedes dealership and learned the rear subframe is rusted and has holes on two sides. I was warned that it is a safety hazard and could lead to a lack of control and other dangerous situations. I also learned that other 2010 through 2014 Mercedes models in the same class have been recalled for this exact concern. I am disappointed and upset to learn that those concerns are known, but not addressed in this model and put customers at risk.
Rear-subframe corrosion at the lower-control-arm mounts has progressed to the point where both arms have play and produce loud metallic bangs while braking or turning at low speed. Two independent shops lifted the car, documented flaking rust around the bushing sleeves, and advised the subframe is structurally compromised and could let a control arm detach under load. The corroded subframe remains installed and can be inspected on request. Safety risk: a detached rear control arm would cause sudden, unpredictable steering and loss of control. The vehicle already pulls right under braking, and feels very unstable in curves Problem has been reproduced and photographed by two independent repair facilities. No manufacturer representative has inspected the vehicle so far. Additional component failures possibly linked to the same progressive chassis stress: premature wear of both front CV axles; timing-chain stretch with worn guides; slack oil-pump chain; upper & lower oil-pan gasket leaks; water-pump seepage; right engine-mount collapse; persistent misfire traced to a loose intake-hose clamp; transmission-cooler hose clip released under pressure, dumping all ATF and destroying the automatic transmission; excessive play in all four lower control-arm bushings. The transmission and the other components were replaced 1-2 months before the subframe bro History: A faint clank from the rear suspension first appeared roughly three years into ownership. Dealer service dismissed it as “normal noise,” and warranty would not cover “loud clanks,” so the issue went unaddressed. The noise has grown steadily into the current condition, suggesting long-term subframe corrosion that was never inspected or remediated. No collision, flood, or off-road use; the car has typical Northeast winter-salt exposure. The failure pattern matches subframe-corrosion cases already acknowledged by the manufacturer on this model, although this serial number is not yet included in the official campaign.

Sunshade on panoramic sunroof broke off and tore sunshade. Took it to MB service center and was told it is known issue for that model and many more with some part snapping off causing the damage and cost to repair is between 2500-3000. Have been reading online and lot of people seem to have same issue with the panoramic sunroof and shade not syncing together. Seems to be concern manufacturer should be looking at if there’s numerous vehicle with same issues. Part snapped off when trying to open up sunroof on hot summer day
Engine Light- Crankcase Ventilation Valve Replacement P052E71. Vehicle will jolt aggressively at the time of acceleration.
Have noticed a lot of air noise coming from the panoramic sunroof of my vehicle when driving, and now have issues of it opening or closing properly. I researched and found a recall regarding the issues my vehicle is having, and brought it into a dealership for diagnosis. Was told my vehicle VIN was not included in the recall. This is a dangerous issue that needs to be remedied. If the sunroof malfunctions I’m afraid it will come loose from the vehicle as it is doing the same things that the recalled VIN vehicles had issue with. Mercedes needs to update and add additional VINs to this recall. I did not repair, as I was told the entire thing will need to be replaced.
Panoramic roof explode sound like a gunshot but the roof exploded
Check engine light came on, it has to be with the Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve. So I found out that other people are experiencing the same thing. So I know that there is a recall by the manufacturer. And I want to do the same for me.
Crank case ventilation Valve needs replaced. This is a hazard and multiple Mercedes owners have reported the same issues.
The rear subframe rusted and needed complete replacement. The service department would not pass the car for inspection without replacement. My brother, who also has a Mercedes C300 model but from the prior year, reported that he had the exact same issue. However, Mercedes issued an extended warranty on his model. In researching this issue, I have discovered that this rusted subframe issue is prevalent in C300 models in all years, not just the model years before mine. I compared the service notes from my invoice with my brother's invoice. It is the exact same issue. I contacted both the Mercedes dealership and Mercedes corporate about this issue, seeking resolution. I provided them with all the documentation. Their answer is simply that my VIN does not qualify under their extended warranty and refused to look into it further, despite my pointing out that it is the exact same problem.
Crankcase ventilation valve. PCV valve has failed causing check engine light. Very common issue on this model according to my research. The dealer does not have this product in stock to facilitate a repair and no support to find the part. Very difficult when trying to pass an emissions test and this is the last thing holding that back.
My car is a 2015 Mercedes Benz, I bought it at the agency in 2022. When I tested the vehicle at the agency, I noticed the steering was a little hard. I asked the sales person and he told me it was normal. Then, after 1 year and 5 months, it was on its way. I went to work and the steering wheel jammed and it wouldn't cross and the car turned off then it didn't want to start and it said the following on the dashboard power stering see operator manual
I got an oil change since it was due then “P052E” It’s a very common issues with the engine first time it’s happened at 66K miles.
Positive crankcase ventilation regulator valve failing and code P052E comes up. Mercedes Benz said this is a problem with all 2015 c300 and should be recalled
Crankcase breather faulty
The panoramic sunroof is faulty. Doing a simple search online showed that this is a common problem amongst my vehicle model where parts are loose or misinstalled and it is a safety concern in a potential accident or rollover. My dealer is now looking into it and it is also an excessive out-of-pocket cost to make the vehicle safer. Something I do not expect from a high-end vehicle manufacturer. I identified this due to the rattling sound in the ceiling/sunroof.
Front drive shaft on 2015 Mercedes Benz C-300 severed from u-joint(s) on highway, causing catastrophic failure of components and significant damage to front exhaust, catalytic converter, and heat shields. Damaged observed on transmission and/or engine block. The approximate cost to repair was $6,500.00 in parts and labor. Failure of subject component(s) resulted in loss of some control and acceleration. Prior to failure, observed increasing vibration from center of vehicle while exceeding 65 mph but no more than 80 on highway. Audible clunking noise when shifting from "park" or "neutral" to "drive." No warning lamps and/or messages regarding failed component(s). Vehicle has not been inspected by manufacturer, police, and/or insurance representatives. Dealer provided inspection and findings.
P052E. Positive crankcase ventilator valve replacement.
After getting gas my check engine came on steady. Stayed on until cleared. After getting gas a 2nd time check engine light came on again, stayed on, but went out. Then after getting gas a 3rd time, check engine light came on again. Checked by a local Mercedes shop, code showed intake line oil separator bad. Owned this car for 7 years, never had an issue like this. 50,516 miles currently. Quote for repair is high, over $1000 dollars. All episodes of check engine light have occurred in a 4 week time frame.
2015 made C399 PVC change cost more than $1,000. Almost every driver has this issue.
My 2015 Mercedes c300 only has 39k miles and suddenly the engine light on, when I check, the dealer it shows that I need Positive Crankcase ventilation valve replace. it cost $2300. This is basically a brand new car and needing this repair every 30k is a joke please issue a recall and have Mercedes held responsible
FRONT STATIONERY PANEL FAIL OFF WHOLE DRIVING I SEE IT IS IN RECALL BUT DO NOT SEE MY VIN HOW CAN I GET THIS FIXED PER RECALL
Hi i have seen lot of customers have filed this cause happening in all 2015 to.2018 c300 its crank case vent valve needs to be changed every 30 to 60k miles lt of posts i have seen i just want mercedes to recall this problem.as its $2400 to fix this because something they didnt did right and part goes bad . Pls help.us reach this so they can do recalls why we have to pay 2400
I took my vehicle to the dealership to have recall worked on (top sunroof panel) apparently they refused to work on it because my sunroof is not working. I received a letter after i financed the vehicle stating that there was a recall so to take it in to the dealership and if sunroof needed to be fixed it would. Long story short, back in July the panel detached from my vehicle while i was on the freeway. Thankfully I didn’t cause an accident but I would like some help so the dealership can fix the recall.
Crankcase ventilation (PCV system), on C300 and GLC 300 is a know issue with this model care fro 2015 to 2021, yet Mercedes Benz manufacture the cars the same way with addressing in order to over charge customers and claim it’s a wear and tear part
This is in regard to my 2015 Mercedes Benz C300 4 matic. I was driving at the normal speed of approximately 65mph on the highway. When out of nowhere, I heard a very loud wind noise. I was terrified since I was alone and was not sure why or what happened. I pulled over and noticed the front panel of my Sunroof glass was missing. I was very disappointed as I have always believed that MB has had a strong reputation for their cars. I circled back around and was able to find the part on the side of the highway, but it was broken. I have had heavy-duty tape covering the space so water cannot get in. I contacted my local MB repair shop and told me the part would be $1100 and labor would be additional.
PCV valve
The crankcase ventilation valve has gone out on my car. This is a continual problem with these vehicles at low mileage. Mercedes Benz should recall the part for repair as they stated it could damage the engine.
I keep getting a litany of warnings on the dash.
Recall 2021070010----NHTSA #21V197--Panoramic roof not boned correctly to the vehicle during prior replacement -
The car have anew recall Recall #2021070010. The dealership Garage Isla Verde won’t provide me any type of services to my car. Neither repair this safety recall. They cancelled my appointments because I’m not welcome to the dealership.
on 7/17/21 the piece of the top of the car right from the from window leading to sunroof came undone and flew off while on highway. vehicle was repaired a month later at body shop. this was out of pocket due to not wanting to claim on my insurance due to deductible. This piece flew off at a high velocity with no warning and couldve caused a accident. There was no indication of any issues no lights no warnings signs. There was a loud noise like a brick or large object falling on top which then I heard a lot of air. Recently again in October 5 I was driving on the highway and debris hit my sun roof, my window was shaking and I went to the body shop. in the brief drive there some 10 miles the same plastic part repaired was lifted and coming off. on this occasion I used my Insurance. On 03/2/22, another event in which the plastic portion between front window and rooftop flew off while driving 60mph on the highway.
The panoramic sunroof of the C300 is held in plastic hooks that break, even with normal use. So, that leaves the panoramic roof to fly off the vehicle on the highway. I have not opened my roof in three years because I am afraid it might not hold up. Looking at the MB owners' forum, it seems to be a pretty common issue that these plastic hooks break, and then the panoramic roof either doesn't close all the way, stay up to let the air come underneath it to introduce the risk of it flying away, or become really flappy when driving with open roof.
On July the 8th I was driver on interstate highway 65south in Birmingham Alabama in my 2015 Mercedes c 300 when there was a loud thump which startled me and almost caused an accident what happened is the roof panel between the windshield and sunroof flew off it caused damage to my vehicle and almost an accident now when I contacted Mercedes they say that it is a recall out for this problem but they do not have a time as to when this can be fixed this will be a problem because now I am not able to drive my vehicle because there is a gape between the windshield and the roof where water and anything else will get into the vehicle this is terrible now I am without a car for who knows how long.
Driving down the interstate and half of the stationary roof panel dislodged. Luckily no accidents occurred due to the malfunction. The other half is still loosely attached and I am worried it could cause an accident if it detaches . I have emailed and called headquarters as well as my local dealership and no one has the ability to fix the problem and cannot confirm if I choose to pay out of pocket, that I will be reimbursed. There is a recall and it’s #21V197. At this point I want some sort of solution so I can ensure the safety of myself and those driving around me.
My daughter was driving at freeway speeds, when she heard, what we now know, is a portion of the sunroof panel flapping and break off. There was no warning, no instrument indication, and assume the broken part was a safety hazard to vehicles following. We took her vehicle to Fletcher Jones Mercedes in Newport Beach, but they're hesitating about repairing or reimbursing costs, due to the pending nature of the NHTSA Recall #21V197.
WHILE DRIVING MY 2015 MERCEDES BENZ C300 4MATIC WITH PANORAMIC ROOF ONE DAY ON RTE 9 IN HYDE PARK NY, A 2 LANE STATE ROAD I WAS TRAVELING AT 40 MPH, I SUDDENLY HEARD MORE AIR THAN USUAL AND THEN SECONDS LATER A LOUD FLAPPING NOISE ON ROOF. I PULLED OVER IMMEDIATELY ONLY TO FIND THE STATIONARY ROOF PANEL ALL THE WAY FORWARD ON THE ROOF, (DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF GLASS PORTION OF THE PANO ROOF) BECAME LOOSE ON ONE SIDE AND FLAPPED OPEN WITH WIND WHEN IN MOTION. I USED 3 QUARTERS BETWEEN WINDSHIELD AND SAID PANEL TO HOLD IT FROM POPPING UP WHILE DRIVING AND DROVE IMMEDIATELY TO A BODY SHOP. TBEY INSPECTED IT AND DETERMINED IT WAS HELD DOWN WITH BLACK EPOXY SIMILAR TO WHAT IS USED TO INSTALL GLASS SUCH AS WINDSHIELDS. THEY ADDED SOME EPOXY AND TAPED DOWN THE PIECE FOR ME. APPROXIMATELY ONE WEEK LATER I WAS TRAVELING ON THE SAME ROAD AT ABOUT 30MPH AND SUDDENLY ALL WITHIN LIKE 2 SECONDS HEARD LOUD WIND, THEN FLAPPING, THEN SAW THE ROOF PIECE FLY OFF SWING IN FRONT OFF WINDSHIELD IT WAS STILL ATTACHED TO A RUBBER GASKET, THEN UP IN THE AIR AND BACK DOWN AND SMACKED THE SIDE OF DRIVERS DOOR BEFORE BREAKING FREE AND FLYING DOWN THE ROAD BEHIND ME. LUCKILY IT DID NOT STRIKE ANY CARS OR PEOPLE AS IT BRIEFLY HELD ON TO THE GASKET ATTACHED. I IMMEDIATELY STOPPED AND WAS ABLE TO RETRIEVE IT, BROKEN INTO 2 PIECES. SOME ONLINE RESEARCH FOUND THIS HAS BEEN A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH MANY, MANY PEOPLE WHO POSTED ALL OVWR THE INTERNET ON FACEBOOK AND SEVERAL OTHER SITES. I THEN FOUND THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM, AND PART WAS RECALLED BY MERCEDES FOR 10S OF THOUSANDS IF CARS, BUT THE RECALL DID NOT INCLUDE MY YEAR (BUT DID INCLUDE MY MODEL FOR OTHER YEARS). THIS IS VERY OBVIOUSLY THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM AND SHOULD BE COVERED FOR ALL YEARS BY MERCEDES. I CALLED AND AFTER A LENGTHY PHONE CALL WITH MERCEDES BENZ I GOT NOWHERE. THE AGENT FOR MB REFUSED TO EVEN ADMIT IT WAS A RECALL, AND WAS RUDE.

THE VEHICLE WAS THANKFULLY NOY IN MPTION WHEN MY PANARAMA SUNROOF AND THE SHADES FAILED. THE SHADES I UNDERSTAND ITS NOT A SAFETY PROBLEM, BUT THE SUNROOF NOT BEING ABLE TO HOLD IN PLACE AS IT OPENS IS DIFFERENT. WHEN THE SUNROOF OPENED, THE REAR OF THE ROOF WAS NOT IN PLACE AND SHAKY. WHEN I TRIED TO CLOSE, IT HAD NOT LOCKED ITSELF RIGHT BACK IN PLACE, WHERE I HAD TO TAKE IT TO A MECHANIC JUST TO HAVE IT SHUT TO AVOID THE RAINSTORM YESTERDAY. I RECENTLY DID SOME RESEARCH AND READ THROUGH SOME ARTICLES, HAD A FRIEND OF MINE TAKE A LOOK AT IT AND IT SEEMS TO BE VERY SIMILAR, ALMOST THE SAME AS THE RECALL THEY HAVE DONE ON OTHER YEAR MAKE FOR THE PANARAMA ROOF.

I WAS DRIVING ON 02/13/2020, ABOUT TO CROSS THE ARKANSAS/TENNESSEE BRIDGE WHEN MY SUNROOF EXPLODED WITHOUT AN EXPLANATION. THE ENTIRE PANORAMIC SUNROOF SHATTERED. IT WAS THE MOST FRIGHTENING THING I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCE. IF MY SUNROOF SCREEN HAD BEEN OPEN, ALL OF THE GLASS WOULD HAVE FALLEN ON MY HEAD AND IN MY EYES. CALLED THE MB DEALER FOR HELP, THEY WEREN'T WILLING TO HELP AND SUGGESTED THAT I FILE IT WITH MY OWN INSURANCE COMPANY. THIS IS A DEFECT OF MB!!

ENTERTAINMENT UNIT DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. HAPPENED OUT OF NOWHERE ONE DAY TURNED ON THE CAR AND IT WAS FROZEN. BACK UP CAMERA 9/10 TIMES DOES NOT WORK AND WHEN IT DOES IT TURNS ON AFTER YOU HAVE BACKED UP AND ARE ALREADY GOING FORWARD. UNIT FREEZES UNABLE TO CHANGE OR DO ANYTHING TO THE UNIT ITSELF. OCCASIONALLY A BLUE SCREEN POPS UP FOR 1-2 SECONDS AND GOES TO THE INITIAL START UP SCREEN FOR A WHILE. I WENT TO MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND THE ADMITTED OF HEARING ABOUT THIS PROBLEM FROM OTHER OWNERS WITH THE SAME ISSUE AND SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THAT COULD BE DONE CAUSE THEY HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO FIX IT, I MEAN THAT'S ABSURD.

THERE IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH THE VEHICLE MENTIONED ABOVE. THE ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM AND THE REAR CAMERA DO NOT WORK. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN REGARDING THE REAR CAMERA. THE C-CLASS IS DESIGNED IN SUCH WAY THAT YOU DEPEND ON THE CAMERA WHEN REVERSING AND IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE THE REAR VIEW WHEN BACKING AND LOOKING FROM ALL ANGLES. I CALLED YOUR HQ IN MARYLAND FOR ASSISTANCE, THEY WERE UNAWARE OF POTENTIAL REPORTED PROBLEMS. THEIR BEST ANSWER WAS TO CALL THE DEALERSHIP. THE FOLLOWING DAY, I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM NEW COUNTRY MOTOR CARS MERCEDES BENZ OF HARTFORD, CT STATING THAT THEY HAVE NOT HEARD OF THIS PROBLEM AND ITS VERY UNLIKELY THAT IT WAS ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECENT RECALL REGARDING THIS VEHICLE. UPON ARRIVAL, AND RETELLING MY STORY TO THE SERVICE ADVISOR HELDER CRESPO, HE TOLD ME THAT THEIR RECEIVED NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE MAKE AND THAT OTHER CUSTOMERS ARE AFFECTED BY THIS SIMILAR PROBLEM. IT BEEN THREE WEEKS, I HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING FROM MB OR DEALERSHIP. I AM QUIET APPALLED BY THIS MATTER AND SHOCKED BY THE IMPROPER COMMUNICATION FROM MB TO THEIR LOYAL CUSTOMERS. IS THIS 'THE BEST OF NOTHING' CUSTOMER RELATION?! I AM EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED HOW THIS MATTER IS BEING HANDLED AND THAT NOT EVEN ONE SINGLE PERSON WHO KNEW ABOUT THIS ISSUE DID NOT EVEN APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCONVENIENCES THAT THIS HAD CASED ME.

DONT KNOW WHICH CATEGORY IT FALLS. I BOUGHT THIS CAR IN AUGUST 2015. IN ONE WEEK IT WOULD NOT START EVEN. TOWED TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID, THE GROUNDING SCREW WAS LOOSE. I AM SO SURPRISED THAT A CAR COMES OUT FROM FACTORY WITH A LOOSE GROUNDING ISSUE. IN THE LAST 2 WEEKS, THE CAR JUST STALLED AT THE SIGNAL. ALL LIGHTS CAME UP. I HAD THE ECO START/STOP MODE ON. THIS HAPPENED 3 TIMES AND FINALLY I SHUT THE ECO START/STOP MODE DOWN. IT IS SO DANGEROUS THAT IN HEAVY TRAFFIC, WHEN PEOPLE ARE READY TO DRIVE ON CHANGE OF SIGNAL, THE CAR WONT MOVE, PEOPLE ARE HONKING AND FRUSTRATED AND I AM TOO. LOOKED ONLINE AND SO MANY PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING THE SAME. THE WHOLE OF DASHBOARD LIGHTS UP LIKE WHEN A CAR STALLS. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS. ANYBODY WAITING BEHIND YOU CAN TAKE THE PEDAL FROM THE BRAKE AND SMASH INTO YOU. SIMILARLY, FOR LAST 2 MONTHS, I HAVE NOTICED THAT THERE IS A JUMPING NATURE WHEN YOU TAKE LEG OF THE BRAKE AT THE SIGNAL. THAT SCARES ME AS WELL. FROM THE FEEL OF IT, I FEEL THIS IS PRIMARILY A SOFTWARE ISSUE WHERE THE COMPUTER THINKS IT IS IN SOME MODE WHEN IT IS NOT OR SOMETHING AND SHUTS EVERYTHING DOWN AS A PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE OR SOMETHING

NHTSA RECALL #17V114 STARTING CURRENT LIMITER OUR MBENZ C300-2015 MODEL HAS BEEN RECALLED AND NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED. ITS MORE THAN 60 DAYS SINCE THE ISSUE IS KNOWN BUT THE REPAIRS ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE. THIS THING CAN BE DANGEROUS TO OUR LIFE AND NEEDS TO BE FIXED ASAP
I WAS DRIVING 580-E AND MERGING ONTO I-5 S WHEN I HIT A HUMONGOUS POT HOLE WITH MY LEFT FONT TIRE CAUSING IT TO IMMEDIATELY BLOW OUT. THAT IN-TURN CAUSED MY STABILITY TRACKING TO ENGAGE, WHICH CAUSED ME TO SLOW DOWN DRASTICALLY. THAT CAUSED ANOTHER VEHICLE TO NEAR MISS RAMMING ME IN THE BACK AND ME SIDE SWIPING ANOTHER VEHICLE. I WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH AND ALMOST LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND HAD TO IMMEDIATELY PULL OVER TO A VERY NARROW SHOULDER OF THE ROAD WITH MY EMERGENCY FLASHERS BLINKING. TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF THE VEHICLE, MY SELF AND OTHER PASSENGERS IN THE CAR, I HAD TO DRIVE APPROXIMATELY 0.5 MILES TO THE NEXT EXIT (67) TO SAFELY GET MY VEHICLE OFF THE ROAD TO A SAFE LOCATION. I THEN CALLED A TOW TRUCK TO TOW MY VEHICLE BACK TO SANTA ROSA WHERE I LIVE TO GET THE TIRE REPLACED AND FRONT BUMP REPAIRED. I AM UNSURE OF THE CAUSE OF THE UNSAFE CONDITION OF THE HIGHWAY OR WHAT CAUSED THE POT HOLE. THERE WERE SEVERAL CARS STRANDED WITH DAMAGES TO THEIR VEHICLES AS WELL. ONE PERSON CAME TO THE SAME EXIT (FOOD MART ON PATTERSON ROAD) WITH A BLOWN OUT TIRE AS WELL. I HAVE HER CONTACT INFORMATION IF YOU NEED TO CONTACT HER.

I HEARD A VERY BIG DEVASTATING NOISE WHILE DRIVING MY 2015 MERCEDES BENZ-C300 ON A LOCAL ROAD IN RALEIGH, NC AT ABOUT 40 MPH. SINCE I DID NOT SEE ANY TPMS (TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM) OR ANY OTHER KIND OF ALERT ON THE SCREEN, I CONTINUED TO DRIVE. AFTER DRIVING ABOUT 2 MORE MILES, I HEARD ANOTHER BIG POP AND THE CAR BECAME NON-DRIVABLE BY THEN. I DID NOT FEEL HITTING ANY OBJECT OR GOING THRU A POT HOLE. THAT'S WHEN I GOT DOWN THE CAR AND NOTICED THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE OUTER WALL GOT SEPARATED FROM THE TIRE AND THE THE TIRE WAS JUST FLAT TO THE GROUND. I COULD NOT, OF COURSE, DRIVE FURTHER. THIS HAPPENED ON SATURDAY (10/1/16) EVENING AND IT IS A RUN-FLAT TIRE, BUT COULD NOT DRIVE FURTHER AND THERE WAS NO SPARE IN THE CAR. SO, I HAD TO WAIT UNTIL TODAY (10/3/16) TO GET IT TOWED TO THE NEAREST BENZ DEALER IN RALEIGH TO GET THE TIRE REPLACED. IT WAS A VERY FRUSTRATING HALF A DAY ATTENDING TO THIS REPAIR. THERE ARE A COUPLE OF ISSUES HERE. (A) QUALITY ISSUE: WHY THE CONTINENTAL TIRE TIRE GAVE AWAY SO QUICKLY WITH ONLY ABOUT 23.5K MILES ON THE ODOMETER, WITHOUT HITTING ANY OBJECT? (B) SAFETY ISSUE: THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN A DISASTER IF I WERE ON A ROAD TRIP WITH FAMILY ON A NATIONAL HIGHWAY, ESPECIALLY, ON A SATURDAY EVENING WITHOUT A SPARE TIRE. (C). SYSTEM RESPONSE ISSUE: WHY MB SYSTEM DID NOT GIVE ANY KIND OF ALERT IN SPITE THIS MAJOR BLOW-OUT? I WOULD HESITATE TO BUY ANOTHER CAR WITHOUT A SPARE TIRE. I HOPE THE NHTSA WILL CONSIDER SERIOUSLY DISCOURAGING RUN-FLAT TIRES IN THE CARS UNLESS A SPARE TIRE IS PROVIDED, UNTIL SUCH TIME THE RUN-FLATS ARE EXTREMELY SAFE AND STURDY. THANKS.

MULTIPLE INCIDENTS OF 'COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST PLUS INOPERATIVE'. CAR LOSES ALL POWER UNTIL RESTARTED. THIS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES, ONCE ON AN INTERSTATE AT 65 MPH CREATING A DANGEROUS SITUATION. I HAD TO PULL OVER SEVERAL LANES ON THE INTERSTATE WITH NO POWER WHILE OTHER CARS HAD TO AVOID ME. I BROUGHT THE CAR INTO THE DEALER AND AFTER A WEEK OF REPAIRS, THE SAME FAULT HAS OCCURRED TWICE IN THE FIRST 24 HOURS AFTER RETURN OF VEHICLE. FAULT OCCURRED AT 60 MPH DURING A PASSING MANEUVER ON A 2 LANE ROAD. AGAIN, WE WERE PUT IN A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. THIS IS AN UNSAFE VEHICLE. ATTACHED IS A PICTURE OF THE DASHBOARD FAULT THAT I PHOTOGRAPHED AFTER THE CAR COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE UNTIL I TURNED IT OFF AND RESTARTED.

WHILE DRIVING "COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST PLUS INOPERATIVE" MESSAGE APPEARS ON DASHBOARD. CAR LOSES ITS ABILITY TO ACCELERATE. OCCURRED TWICE (JANUARY 2015) ON CITY STREETS FORCING ME TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND RESTART MY CAR, THE ERROR DISAPPEARS AND I AM ABLE TO DRIVE NORMALLY. 4/7/16 OCCURRED WHILE TRAVELING 65MPH ON AN INTERSTATE. I LOST ABILITY TO ACCELERATE AND WAS ALMOST REAR-ENDED BY A SEMI-TRUCK. THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED AT A MERCEDES DEALERSHIP ON 1/11/16 THE HIGHWAY INCIDENT OCCURRED AFTER THE "FIX". IT IS CURRENTLY BACK AT THE DEALERSHIP BEING TESTED BY THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT. I AM TOLD THE CURRENT FIX IS TO REPLACE ALL THE SENORS. I HAVE OPENED A CASE WITH MBUSA TO REPURCHASE THE VEHICLE GIVEN THE INITIAL REPAIR DID NOT WORK AND PUT ME IN PERILOUS HIGHWAY SITUATION. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN OCTOBER OF 2015.

TWO ISSUES, PURCHASED A CERTIFIED PRE OWNED VEHICLE. AT 8900 MILES, WE NOTICED THE CAR WAS IDLING VERY ROUGH ON A COLD START, ALMOST THE SOUND OF A DIESEL. THE SOUND WOULD RESOLVE AFTER 10 MINUTES OF DRIVING. SERVICE INFORMED US THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE RODS AND PISTONS. WE HAD THE ENGINE REBUILT, AND THE NOISE IS THE SAME, IF NOT WORSE. THE CAR SOUNDS NOTHING LIKE LATERBUILD '15 MODELS OR '16 MODELS, NOR DOES IT RUN AS SMOOTHLY. SECONDLY, 5 OCCURRENCES INVOLVED INOPERATIVE COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST WARNINGS AND INOPERATIVE ANTI-SKID WARNINGS APPEARING ON THE DASH CAUSING THE CAR TO REDUCE OPERATING SPEED TO 20MPH MAX. CAR NEEDED TO BE SHUT OFF AND RESTARTED AFTER A 5 MINUTE PERIOD EACH TIME THESE WARNINGS APPEARED, IN ORDER TO DRIVE OVER 20MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED FOR THESE WARNINGS TWICE. THE FIRST SERVICE DIAGNOSED THE CAR WITH A CODING ISSUE. THE SECOND, INVOLVED REPLACING MODULES. THIS ALL OCCURRED DURING THE TWO MONTHS OF OWNING THE CAR. WE NOTICES SEVERAL SIMILAR COMPLAINTS REGARDING THE EARLY BUILD 2015 C300S, AND DECIDED TO CUT OUR LOSSES AND PURCHASE ANOTHER VEHICLE. WE DID NOT FEEL SAFE IN THAT CAR.

COLLISION PREVENTION ASSISTANCE FEATURE WENT ON AUTOMATICALLY ( AS WELL AS CHECK-ENGINE LIGHT) WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED IN NORMAL WEATHER. I WAS NOT IN AN ACCIDENT, NEAR ANOTHER VEHICLE AND COMPLETELY AWARE AND DRIVING NORMALLY PRIOR TO THIS OCCURRING. I HAD TO STRUGGLE WITH CAR TO PULL OVER TO SHOULDER, LOSS POWER FROM GAS PEDAL, CAR HARD TO CONTROL. I HAD TO TURN OFF THE CAR, DEACTIVATE THE FUNCTION TO DRIVE. IT HAPPENED AGAIN WHEN I DROVE THE CAR LATER THAT DAY AFTER THE CAR HAD BEEN PARKED FOR A WHILE. TOOK IT INTO SERVICE. THEY WERE ABLE TO FIND THE ERROR CODE.THEY FOUND THAT MERCEDES SENT OUT A MEMO IN SEPT. 2015 STATING THEY ARE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM BUT SERVICE IS NOT TO DO ANYTHING TO "FIX" IT! I HAVE ONLY OWNED THIS CAR FOR 6 WEEKS ,BOUGHT IT NEW AND HAVE LESS THAN 6,000 MILES ON IT. MERCEDES IS NOT OFFERING A SOLUTION BUT MORE OF A WAIT AND SEE ATTITUDE.

I HAD TWO ISSUES WITHIN 2 MONTHS OF BUYING THE CAR EARLIER IN THIS. I PURCHASED THE CAR IN EARLY FEB 2015. I HEARD A LOUD SOUND IN THE HEATING UNIT, THEN A SMALL CLICKING SOUND ENSUED FOR OVER A WEEK. BROUGHT IT IN, THE MOTOR HAD BLOWN, SO THEY REPLACED IT WITHOUT A DIME OUT OF MY POCKET. THEN IN MARCH, I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 35 MILES PER HOUR WHEN A VERY LOUD NOISE LIKE BAD BREAKS STARTED AND WOULDN'T STOP NO MATTER WHAT I DID. WE TOWED IT USING MERCEDES, BUT HAD TO PAY FOR AN UBER TO THE DEALERSHIP. IT WAS AGAIN ANOTHER MALFUNCTION WITH THE NEW MODEL, AND THEY FIXED THE BREAKS AND ROTORS THAT SAME DAY WITHOUT A DIME OUT OF MY POCKET. I NOW HAVE 6500 MILES ON IT SINCE I GOT IT IN FEB THIS YEAR, AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I TRIED TO REPLACE THE FUEL CAP BUT THAT DIDN'T MAKE IT GO AWAY AND THE CAR IS DRIVING FINE. IM BRINGING IT IN LATER THIS WEEK. I SAW REPORTS THAT THERE ARE SOME CARS WITH THIS FUEL ISSUE THATS CAUSING THIS INDICATOR. OVERALL THIS ONE PARTICULAR CAR I LEASED IS A TOTAL DUD, BUT I HOPE THESE REPORTS HELP OTHERS WITH SIMILAR ISSUES.
