2015 MERCEDES BENZ GLA 250 Unknown Or Other Problems

Good Afternoon, the status of my vehicle is simply UNKNOWN. I purchased my vehicle on the 26th last year of January. That same day I drove it back home my car was jerking. So I went back the following day to see if I could get into another vehicle because this one was malfunctioning they didn’t want to do anything for me. I tried so many different options to get out of this car I had a few scares driving this car the week of ownership. About sis times my car cut off completely during traffic and I have some recorded videos. Theirs a leakage somewhere I can fill up my gas tank to full and drive maybe two blocks away from my house and the gas meter is say that I have half a tank. Now my car is overheating, it’s not cranking it just tells me on the dashboard that 4MATIC is unavailable.

My car suddenly shifts to Neutral when stopped at the stoplight/while driving causing a safety issue. I had to turn off and turn on every time this happens. I called Mercedes and filed a complaint #06552876

The panoramic sunroof will not open on one side rendering the sunroof unusable. this problem is happening often on this Mercedes model. Looks like Mercedes used plastic guide to move the sunroof back and forward and if you take a bump while driving with the sunroof on the tilted position it will break the plastic tracks rendering the sunroof unusable. this is a time-consuming fix because the interior of the car needs to come out to completely remove the sunroof and replace the damage part with the same original part that will break again under the same circumstances.

Panoramic Roof exploded without any outside influences causing this...many on your radar...dangerous...not sure why the NHTSA has not ordered a recall...there have been thousands of these same issues across many manufacturers. Almost caused a crash due to the startle effect of the explosion. MBZ does not make a replacement part for this. Why is that? There's a reason behind this. It's the gov'ts responsibility to keep us safe...Insurance paid for the replacement...MBZ does not make it...there are no aftermarket replacements for this. Dealership has had the car on it's lot for 5 weeks...it's been out of order for 8 weeks.

Panoramic sunroof issue. I was driving on the highway 65 mph and opened my sunroof. As I tried to close the sunroof I heard a noise, like the sunroof was coming off the track. I was unable to close it. As I drove I felt like the sunroof could come off. I have an Appointment to have sunroof inspected. It does close.

Auto A button for echo you power on but it not work. My keep faulty if my door lock with auto it sometimes won’t open then a lock smith has to be call

Rear camera stopped working.

Plastic shoes broke on moonroof causing moonroof to be inoperable. Shoes are very fragile and difficult to replace. Many users have this problem. Broken shoes do not allow car to be driven with moonroof open as roof may fly upward and detach from vehicle. Moonroof lubrication is supposed to be part of maintenance schedule, which I have religiously adhered to, but dealership either ignored this maintenance step, or shoes broke anyway. Very expensive repair requires dropping of headliner. Please issue a safety recall.

The panoramic sunroof came off the rail and popped up almost detaching from the vehicle!!!

I HAVE MERCEDES BENZ GLA 250 YEAR 2015 AND THE ENGINE LIGHT IS ALREADY APPEARING IN MY DASH BOARD . I HAVE ONLY DRIVEN THIS CAR FROM HOME TO WORK WHICH IS 10-20 MILES AWAY. OTHER ISSUE I HAVE IS THAT WHEN THE WEATHER IS 30-40 DEGREES AND WILL HAVE MY HEATER IN MAX I SMELT A TERRIBLE GAS ODOR COMING FROM MY AIR VENTS

I WAS DRIVING MY 2015 MB GLA250 4MATIC [XXX] AND SUDDENLY 5 WARNING ALERTS POPPED ON THE DISPLAY AND THE RESPECTIVE SIGNALS TURNED ON THE DASHBOARD. THE 5 WARNINGS WERE: 4MATIC CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE, INOPERATIVE ABS, PARKING BREAK, COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST PLUS INOPERATIVE AND CHECK ENGINE. IN ADDITION, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME HEAVY AT THE SAME TIME. I TURNED OFF THE CAR AND TURNED IT ON AGAIN AND AT THAT TIME ONLY THE CHECK ENGINE SIGNAL WAS ON. AS SOON AS I ACCELERATED THE CAR AND THE CAR CHANGED TO 2ND, ALL THE ORIGINAL LIGHTS AND WARNING TURNED ON AND THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME HEAVY. I AM SHARING THIS INFORMATION BECAUSE I'VE READ MULTIPLE SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ONLINE. THE WARRANTY OF THE CAR EXPIRED IN DECEMBER 2018 (3 MONTHS AGO) AND BACK IN NOVEMBER MY VEHICLE STAYED A COUPLE WEEKS IN GARAGE ISLA VERDE (PUERTO RICO) DUE TO PROBLEMS WITH TRANSMISSION. WHEN VEHICLE IS PARKED IN A SPACE UNDER POWER LINES THE VEHICLE LOCKING SYSTEM DEACTIVATES AND THE VEHICLE WILL NOT LOCK. THE VEHICLE MUST BE MOVED TO A SPACE WHERE THERE NO POWER LINES ABOVE THE VEHICLE.

I WAS DRIVING AT 45MPH DURING DAY TIME, IN NORMAL SLOW-TRAFFIC CONDITIONS ON A CALIFORNIA FREEWAY, WHEN MY PANORAMIC SUNROOF EXPLODED. OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE WAS 66F, I WAS NOT DRIVING UNDER A BRIDGE AND I DIDN'T HEAR ANY NOISE OF IMPACT GENERATED BY A FOREIGN OBJECT. AT THE TIME OF THE EXPLOSION I WAS PASSING A TRUCK AND BY THE SOUND OF IT, I IMMEDIATELY THOUGHT THAT ONE OF THE TRUCK'S TIRES EXPLODED. INSTEAD I LOOKED UP AND MY ENTIRE PANORAMIC SUNROOF WAS IN PIECES. LUCKILY THE SUNSHADE LINING WAS CLOSED AND IT PROTECTED MY FACE FROM BEING EXPOSED TO THE PIECES OF BROKEN GLASS.

BACK DOOR WAS AJAR AND THERE WAS NO WARNING DISPLAY TO STATE THE DOOR WAS NOT CLOSED COMPLETELY. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY AND THE WARNING DID NOT DISPLAY UNTIL I WAS DRIVING. SAFETY ISSUE ESPECIALLY WITH SMALL CHILDREN IN THE BACK SEAT. *TR

THE DOOR OPEN WARNING SIGN ON THE DASH DID NOT COME ON UNTIL AFTER DRIVING ABOUT 100 FEET. A BACKSEAT PASSENGER FELL OUT OF THE CAR AS IT STARTED TO MOVE FORWARD. THE DRIVER ASSUMED THE BACK DOOR WAS CLOSED SECURELY WHEN HE STARTED FORWARD BECAUSE THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHT.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTORS ACTIVATED NOTIFYING THE CONTACT THAT THERE WAS CARBON MONOXIDE PRESENT IN THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT BECAME ILL AND HAD TROUBLE BREATHING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 9,400.
