VEHICLE STARTED TO JERK LIKE IT WAS GOING THROUGH RAILROAD TRACKS AND THEN 2 DAYS LATER IT CAN ONLY GO ON REVERSE AND NOT ABLE TO SHIFT TO DRIVE WITHOUT KICKING HARD AND THEN VERY SLOW MOTION. STILL HAVING PROBLEMS. *TR
THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND WITHOUT WARNING THE VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE AND BURNED DOWN THE HOUSE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND WAS DECLARED TOTALED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY. *AK THE FIRE ORIGINATED ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE CONSUMER MENTIONED THAT THE HE EXPERIENCED PROBLEMS WITH THE IGNITION SYSTEM, ABS SYSTEM AND SHIFTER. THERE WAS GRINDING WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED AND THE GEAR SHIFT WOULD NOT SHIFT INTO DRIVE ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED. THE ABS PUMP, MOTOR RELAY, BRAKE LAMP SWITCH AND SWITCH WIRING HARNESS WERE REPLACED. (THERE WERE TWO PURCHASE DATES: 7/16/1996 AND 8/09/1996) *SC *JB

AODE TRANSMISSION HAS SHUDDER / VIBRATION (LIKE DRIVING ON A WASHBOARD) UNDER LIGHT TO MODERATE ACCELERATION ABOVE 35 MPH IN 3RD GEAR OR DURING 3-4 OR 4-3 SHIFT. IT'S WORSE WHEN THE WEATHERS COLD.*AK
POWER DRIVER SEAT FEELS LIKE ITS MAKING CLUNKING NOISE WHEN ACCELERATING OR BRAKING. WOULD ROCK BACK & FORTH. WHEN TRANSMISSION GOES INTO OVERDRIVE IT WOULD EXPERIENCE A RAMBLING IN THE VEHICLE. TOOK TO DEALER & THE MECHANIC INDICATED THAT THE PROBLEM WAS THE TORQUE CONVERTER. *AK INSTALLING THE TORQUE CONVERTOR HAS SOLVED THE PROBLEM. *YH
TORQUE CONVERTER WENT OUT AT 20K MILES AND AGAIN AT 54K MILES. ON BOTH OCCASIONS THE TORQUE CONVERTER WAS REPLACED. ON THE SECOND OCCASION THE ENTIRE TRANSMISSION WENT OUT.*AK

WHILE IN PARK , WHEN MOTOR WAS TURNED OFF VEHICLE JUMPED OUT OF GEAR AND ROLLED BACKWARE INTO A PICKUP. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS VEHICLE HAS JUMPED OUT OF PARK , BUT THIS TIME THERE WAS A COLLISION. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AT ABOUT 45 MPH, CONSUMER HEARD A NOISE, AND THEN TRANSMISSION LIGHT CAME ON. CONSUMER CHECKED UNDER HOOD DIDN'T SEE A PLOBLEM. WAITED FOR VEHICLE TO COOL OFF, AND STARTED IT BACK UP. THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED. *AK
TRANSMISSION EXPERIENCED PROBLEMS WHEN CHANGING GEARS AT 40MPH. DEALER SUGGESTED AND INSTALLED A TRANSMISSION CONDITIONER WHICH TEMPORARILY FIXED THE PROBLEM.
AT 30-60 MPH THE TRANSMISSION VIBRATES, CAUSING LOSS OF SPEED. DEALER HAS WORKED ON VEHICLE TWICE, PROBLEM STILL OCCURRING. *AK *ML
TORQUE CONVERTER WAS REPLACED LAST YEAR AND PROBLEMS ARE OCCURING AGAIN.
BROKEN SHIFT TUBE ASSEMBLY.
HAND LEVER BROKE OFF INSIDE STEERING COLUMN CAUSING CAR TO ROLL BACKWARDS OUT OF THE GARAGE. REF. 524316
SHIFT TUBE ASSEMBLY BROKE WHILE SHIFTING INTO PARK CAUSING LOSS OF CONTROL.
SHIFT TUBE ASSEMBLY BROKE, LOSS OF DIRECTIONAL CONTROL.
THE GEAR SHIFT WAS STUCK IN PARK, VEHICLE HAD TO BE ROCKED BACK AND FORTH TO GET OUT OF PARK GEAR. *AK
TRANSMISSION FAILED TWO TIMES.
TRANSMISSION FAILURE DUE TO CONTAMINATION.
FAILED TORQUE CONVERTER CAUSED VEHICLE TO VIBRATE. AFTER TORQUE CONVERTER WAS REPAIRED ALL VEHICLE LIGHTING CEASED, INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR, AND THE SPEEDOMETER WAS ERRATIC. SPEEDOMETER READ 75-80 MPH WHEN VEHICLE WAS ACTUALLY GOING 20-25 MPH.
FAILED TORQUE CONVERTER CAUSED VEHICLE TO VIBRATE. AFTER TORQUE CONVERTER WAS REPAIRED ALL VEHICLE LIGHTING CEASED, INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR, AND THE SPEEDOMETER WAS ERRATIC. SPEEDOMETER READ 75-80 MPH WHEN VEHICLE WAS ACTUALLY GOING 20-25 MPH.
BROKEN SHIFT TUBE ASSEMBLY--SNAPPED IN TWO WHILE PARKING. THE SHIFT HANDLE DISENGAGED COMPLETELY IN OWNER'S HAND, LEAVING HIM WITH NO TRANSMISSION AND NO POWER.
TRANSMISSION FAILED.
WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE IT SOUNDS AS THOUGH TIRES ARE GOING OVER A RIPPLED ROADWAY. DEALER STATED THAT THE TORQUE CONVERTOR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, COMMON PROBLEM REPLACED (1) EVERY WEEK. *AK
