ON DECEMBER 23, 2015 I WAS DRIVING MY 2004 MERCURY GRAND MARQUIS THROUGH AN INTERSECTION IN HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS. I HAD JUST RECEIVED A GREEN LIGHT AND WAS PROCEEDING TO MAKE A LEFT TURN WHEN MY VEHICLE WAS HIT BY ANOTHER VEHICLE IN THE DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT. THE DAMAGE TO MY VEHICLE WAS SEVERE. THE AT FAULT DRIVER'S INSURANCE COMPANY DECLARED MY VEHICLE A TOTAL LOSS. MY VEHICLE'S AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. I WAS WEARING MY SEAT AND SHOULDER BELTS AT THE TIME OF THE COLLISION. I WAS EXAMINED AT A NEARBY EMERGENCY ROOM. THEY SAID "NO SERIOUS INJURY" BUT MY ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON SAID I HAVE A SEPARATION OF MY LEFT SHOULDER.

ALSO OTHER POINTS ON CAR BODY PAINT PEELING NOT STAYING TO CAR SURFACE . THIS CAR HAS NOW ONLY 44000 AND HAS BEEN RARELY USED AND MOSTLY GARAGED . IT WAS A GIFT FROM MY PARENTS WHOM ARE NOW PASSED AWAY. I AM AT THIS POINT IN DISBELIEF BECAUSE I ONLY USE THIS CAR MOSTLY IN SUMMER . I AM DISABLED AND A US COAST GUARD VETERAN AND FEEL THIS IS AN ISSUE FROM IMPROPER PAINT APPLICATION OR METAL PREPARATION FORM DAY OF BUILD . RECALL NEEDED A.S.A.P. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 MERCURY GRAND MARQUIS. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FIBERGLASS ROOF DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE AND EJECTED ONTO THE REAR WINDSHIELD AND TRUNK. BOTH THE TRUNK AND WINDSHIELD SUSTAINED DAMAGE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 203,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.

DOORS DO NOT LOCK PROPERLY WHEN USING THE KEY REMOTE AND LIGHTS INSIDE THE VEHICLE ON CONTROLS FLICKER ON AND OFF. HEATING ELEMENT IN LEATHER SEAT ON PASSENGER SIDE HAS NEVER WORKED AND HAD TO REPLACE TIRES DUE TO UNUSUAL WEAR AND TEAR. COST TO REPLACE TIRES WAS $478. DRIVER SIDES DOOR WILL NOT SHUT ALL THE WAY DUE TO ALIGNMENT PROBLEMS AND THIS PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN CORRECTED. HAD TO REPLACE FUEL FILTER DUE TO LEAKING AND THIS COST $178.
