I collided with three parked vehicles and my airbags did not deploy causing me to hit my head
I was driving home from Fargo ND to Fergus falls MN on Christmas Eve when a gust of wind blew me out of the tracks into the slush. My car slid of the road on the left side where I hit a guard rail with the front driver’s side hitting first. I bounced of the rail and drove it back on the road. The airbag never did deploy. I have a doctor appointment for my left hip on the 8th because it's hard for me to put on a sock. I have a police report and pictures but it will not let me upload them.

I received a recall notice in March 2021 that the driver airbag needs replacement, but the part is not yet available. It still is not available! I consider this dangerous and should be fixed.

I CALL MY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIPS TO SCHEDULE A FREE IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL FOR THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG INFLATOR REPLACEMENT, ACCORDING TO NHTSA IS DUE FOR REPLACEMENT, BUT WORKERS AT THIS LOCATION HANG UP THE PHONE, TELL ME TO WAIT 1 SECOND AND DISSAPEAR MAKING ME WRITE THIS PARAGRAPHS BECAUSE MY SAFETY IS #1 PRIORITY. THEY WANT ME TO LEAVE MY VEHICLE IN THEIR PROPERTIES FOR 3 DAYS FOR A SIMPLE 2 HOUR JOB AND THAT IS REALLY UNACCEPTABLE, ONLY BECAUSE ITS FREE DONT MEAN I HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THIS NONSENSE. SHORTLY HAVING THE AIRBAG REPLACED UNDER RECALL, THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT BECAME ILLUMINATED. THE DEALER SAID IS WAS NOT RELATED TO THE RECALL WORK AND THE SYSTEM WAS SHOWING FAULT CODES FOR THE CRASH SENSOR, DEPLOYMENT, AND PRETTY MUCH EVERY CIRCUIT.

I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A CALL TO HAVE THIS ISSUE RESOLVED AND WE ARE NOW IN THE 4TH QUARTER OF 2018. I WAS ADVISED BY PHONE FROM THE FORD DEALER I COULD DRIVE THE CAR HOWEVER I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO HAVE ANYONE SIT IN THE FRONT SEAT. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THIS ISSUE RESOLVED AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. I RECEIVED A NOTICE EARLIER THIS MONTH ADVISING OF THE AIRBAG SETTLEMENT WITH A HEARING DATE SET FOR DECEMBER 11, 2018. WE RECEIVED A RECALL NEARLY 2 YEARS AGO ON POTENTIAL PROBLEM WITH AIRBAG IN THIS VEHICLE. WE HAVE CHECKED SEVERAL TIMES WITH DEALERSHIP AND HAVE YET NOT BEEN TOLD THEY HAVE THE FIX FOR THE PROBLEM. THE LETTERS WE HAVE RECEIVED HAVE STRONGLY URGED NO ONE RIDE IN FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. THIS VEHICLE IS DRIVEN BY MY WIFE AND SOMETIMES, MYSELF. WE HOWEVER ARE NOT COMFORTABLE WITH SOMEONE SITTING ON PASSENGER SIDE FRONT SEAT. SO THE EXTENDED TIME OF NEARLY TWO YEARS HAS BEEN EXTREMELY INCONVENIENT!

(HAVE NAMES AND DATES) WHICH THEY CONTINUE TO BLAME IT ON FORD MOTOR CO. ALL TO NO AVAIL. FORD CONTINUES TO SEND ME SAFETY RECALL LETTERS AND PROMISES OF NEXT MONTH, NEXT QUARTER, NEXT THIS AND THAT. THEY NEVER PRODUCE MY/THE AIRBAG/S. AND, WHEN FORD CAME UP WITH THIS ' RENT A CAR' THERE WAS NEVER ONE AVAILABLE: ENTERPRISE WAS ALWAYS OUT OF CARS. I FIND THIS TO BE TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE AS THIS IS OUR ONLY FAMILY CAR. I SUGGEST THAT THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY FURNISH REPLACEMENT CARS WITH WORKING AIR BAGS TO THOSE OF US AFFECTED, AT THEIR EXPENSE UNTIL THE PASSENGER AIR BAG IN MY CAR IS REPAIRED. SINCE WE ARE NOW BEING ADVISED THAT A FRONT PASSENGER INVOLVED IN A FRONT END COLLISION COULD BE FATALLY INJURED, WE HAVE LOST THE SAFE USE OF OUR CAR.
