DEFECTIVE BRAKE SYSTEM. *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THE ABS WAS AS NON- EFFECTIVE AS A NORMAL HYDRAULIC BRAKING SYSTEM. THE CONSUMER STATED THERE WAS A RECALL REGARDING THE ISSUE, HOWEVER THE LOCAL DEALER QUESTIONED AUTHENTICITY OF THE NOTICE.*JB
I DON'T HAVE THE INFORMATION FOR ALL THE ABOVE BUT COULD FIND IT IF NECESSARY. I AM MORE CONCERNED ABOUT THE HEAD GASKET WHICH NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I WAS NEVER MADE AWARE THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM THAT COULD HAPPEN AT ANY TIME. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO AND, LIVING ON A SMALL PENSION AND SOCIAL SECURITY, DO NOT HAVE THGE MONEY TO REPAIR OR REPLACE THE VEHICLE.

WHEN APPLYING BRAKES PEDAL GOES HALFWAY AND IT HESITATES. ABS BRAKING SYSTEM LIGHT COMES ON DASHBOARD. DEALERSHIP IS AWARE OF PROBLEM.*AK
SOMETIMES THE ABS BRAKES SEEM TO ACTUATE EVEN THOUGH THE ROAD IS DRY AND THE BRAKES ARE NOT APPLIED HARD. THE RATE OF ABS APPLICATION SEEMS MUCH LESS THAN NORMAL, 2-3/SEC RATHER THAN THE NORMAL 10/SEC. THE STOPPING DISTANCE IS INCREASED SO THAT THERE IS AN INCREASE IN CHANCE FOR AN ACCIDENT. I HAVE DISCONNECTED THE ABS SO THAT THE BRAKES ACT NORMALLY BUT WITHOUT THE BENEFIT OF ABS WHICH MAY BE OK FOR THE SUMMER BUT HAVING ABS ON ICY WINTER ROADS WILL BE CRUCIAL TO AVOIDING ACCIDENTS.*AK
CONSUMER WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 66MPH ON HIGHWAY, APPROACHING A TRAFFIC LIGHT SHE APPLIED BRAKES, AND PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. THERE WAS NO BRAKE POWER. DEALERSHIP WAS AWARE OF PROBLEM.*AK
"EXCITER RING" IN FRONT ABS SPLIT/SHEARED, CAUSING BRAKE PEDAL TO KICK BACK TOWARDS DRIVER WHEN T BRAKE PEDAL WAS PRESSED. THIS RESULTED IN A LOSS OF BRAKE EFFECTIVENESS. CONSUMER WAS UNSURE ABOUT SAFETY OF THIS VEHICLE. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION/ATTACHMENTS.*AK

THERE IS A REDUCTION OF BRAKING AT MOST TIMES, ALSO SOUNDS OF GRINDING, CONSUMER REPLACED THE ROTORS APPROX. (7) TIMES ALSO TURNED (7) TIMES, DUE TO WORPING FROM VIBRATION OF APPLYING THE BRAKES, THIS HAPPENS WORP ROTORS EVERY (3,000)MILES AND EVERY (10,000) THEY WOULD NEED REPLACING.
WHILE DRIVING WITH CRUISE CONTROL ON, WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES TO RELEASE THE CRUISE CONTROL, THERE WERE NO BRAKES. THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR, AND DID NOT RESPOND UNTIL IT WAS AN INCH AWAY FROM THE FLOOR. DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. *AK
THE CAR NOW WHEN COMING TO A STOP AND TURNING TO THE RIGHT IT LOCKS UP HARD TO TURN. AND HAS A HUMING LIKE LOW OIL, IN AN OLD FASHION CAR. THE NOISE SPEEDS UP AND DOWN WITH THE CAR . WHAT IS UP WITH THAT WINDOW THOUGH ? I DON'T KNOW WHY MY BRAKES WERE SO WORN LAST TIME THAT IS JUST SO SAD.
THE CAR WAS BEING MOVED FROM THE FRONT OF MY HOUSE INTO THE DRIVEWAY. THE BRAKES WOULD NOT ENGAGE TO MAKE THE TURN, INSTEAD VEHICLE ACCELERATED. MY SON WAS DRIVING AND HE TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL TO THE LEFT TO TRY TO SLOW IT DOWN. HE THEN PANICKED AND JUMPED OUT. THE CAR PROCEDED TO CONTINUE CRASHING THROUGH OUR NEIGHBOR'S CHAIN LINK FENCE, CONTINUED THROUGH HIS YARD. THEN CRASHED THROUGH THE FENCE ON THE OTHER SIDE, ENDING UP BACK IN OUR YARD AND HITTING ANOTHER CAR PARKED IN OUR YARD, AS WELL AS A TRAMPOLINE, AND ENDED UP HITTING THE CORNER OF THE GARAGE WHICH STOPPED IT. *AK
LEAK IN THE ANTI-LOCK SYSTEM ON THE REAR PASSENGER WHEEL.
THERE WAS ALOT OF VIBRATION IN THE STEERING OF THE VEHICLE. THE FRONT LEFT ROTORS WERE REPLACED TWICE, AND THE PROMBLEM IS STILL THERE. THE CONSUMER HAD TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN THE SHOP, AND THE BODY SHOP DOESN'T KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. *AK
ABS WARNING LIGHT REMAINS ILLUMINATED, INDICATING MALFUNCTION WITHIN THE SYSTEM. ALSO WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES THE PEDAL TRAVELS TO THE FLOOR, CAUSING EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. CAUSE UNKNOWN. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK

DEALER INFORMED CONSUMER THAT THE ROTORS ARE WARPED DUE TO PADS OVERHEATING. ROTOR HAD BEEN REPLACED TWICE BY DEALER, AND NOW NEED TO BE REPLACED AGAIN. *AK VEHICLE HAS WIND NOISE AROUND DOORS. *SLC
