ENGINE MANIFOLD STUDS AND BOLTS HAD SNAPPED. WAS DRIVING & AND MANIFOLD WAS MAKING NOISE, EXHAUST SOUND LIKE IT WAS LEAKING. LEAK WAS COMING FROM MANIFOLD WHICH IS ATTACHED TO ENGINE. MANIFOLD HAD SEPARATED AND WAS CAUSING PROBLEMS. HAD TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP IN 1999, AND HAD THE STUDS REPLACED. CURRENTLY, BACK AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE SAME TYPE OF PROBLEM. *AK LEFT FRONT AXLE BOOTS HAVE VIBRATION DUE TO CV BOOTS FAILURE. EXHAUST MANIFOLD STUDS ARE BROKEN AGAIN AND REPLACED. *YH

WE DO NOT BELIEVE A TRANSMISSION SHOULD GO OUT AT THIS LOW MILEAGE AND GOT NO HELP WHEN CONTACTED THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY.

MY MECHANIC WAS FIXING THE FRONT MANIFOLD GASKET PROBLEM, WHEN HE TOOK IT FOR A TEST DRIVE, THE REAR MANIFOLD GASKET WENT. THE FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM MEANS DRILLING OUT THE BOLTS, WHICH CRACK AND CANNOT BE USED AGAIN. MY MECHANIC HAS DONE MANY OF THESE DRILLINGS AND SAYS IT'S A MAJOR PROBLEM THAT THE CAR MANUFACTURER SHOULD BE ADDRESSING. THE OIL LEAK IS BECOMING MAJOR, AND I WILL HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF IT SOON. MY MECHANIC HAS INFORMED ME THAT THE TRANSMISSION WILL NEED TO COME OUT IN ORDER TO FIX THE LEAK. HE HAS ALSO DONE MANY OF THESE REPAIRS TOO, FOR THIS PARTICULAR TYPE OF VEHICLE.
