I am writing to formally escalate a serious safety issue with my 2014 Nissan Altima. My vehicle is affected by the known halogen headlamp delamination defect, which Nissan has previously acknowledged in a warranty extension and service campaign. Recently, because of the dangerously dim headlights, I struck a speed bump and damaged my vehicle. More importantly, I nearly hit pedestrians crossing the street because I could not see them in time. This is a life-threatening safety hazard directly caused by the defective headlamps. When I contacted my local Nissan dealer, they refused to honor the warranty/service campaign. I was told I would need to pay approximately $2,300 for repairs because the warranty extension expired in 2020. However, I did not begin noticing headlight visibility issues until 2022, well after the coverage period had ended. This demonstrates that the defect often develops after the expiration period and should still be addressed as a known, documented safety defect.
1. Component/System Failed: Halogen headlamp assemblies (low beams) malfunctioned due to delamination of the reflective surface, causing dimming. Available for inspection upon request. I have had the issue for years. Hard to see at night. 2. Safety Risk: Dim low beams reduce nighttime visibility, increasing risk of collisions. Using high beams to compensate may blind other drivers, creating further hazards. 3. Problem Reproduced/Confirmed: Not yet confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. Issue matches known defect in 2013-2018 Altima halogen headlamps (TSB NTB15-111). 4. Inspections: No inspections by police, or insurance yet. I did have it inspected with the Santa Rosa California (Jim Bone) Nissan dealer inspection under Voluntary Service Campaign (PC861/PC890). That dealer said it was not bad however the headlights were bad before and after that so I believe they lied or didn’t test it correctly. That was in 2022 I believe. 5. Warning Signs/Symptoms: Gradual low-beam dimming noticed, first observed around 2017 perhaps. I just thought it was bad but it got worse. I saw in 2020 or 2021 some notice about a class action lawsuit (Suarez?) that Nissan lost so I tried to get them to fix it but they had various dates they said claims had to be done and it was confusing. I called Vallejo Nissan and they said I had to wait. Later it kept getting worse. No warning lamps; low beams too dim for safe driving, requiring high beams. 6. Description (if uncertain): Low beams are dim, compromising safe nighttime driving. Issue aligns with reported delamination defect in halogen headlamp assemblies. Exact onset date/mileage UNKNOWN. Sought dealers inspection for replacement under Nissan’s campaign but they didn’t take care of it. Nissan should be held responsible if any deaths, injuries or damages result from this issue. They should fix this asap! This is a major common issue you should already have on file.
My headlights are so dim, that I’m forced to drive with my high beams at night or not drive at all. I’ve replace the bulbs and there has been no improvement.
The headlights are extremely dim due to Nissan's design flaw. There was a settlement in 2022 to have these replaced for free. However, the Nissan dealership conveniently passed my headlights (as well as many others, as stated in online forums), and we were unable to qualify for the replacements despite the lights being so dim that I had to switch to my high-beam lights in many situations. Now, after the settlement has expired, Nissan has failed my headlights and is asking for $1360 to replace the assembly. I find this action from Nissan to be in bad faith.

Hi. 2014 Nissan Altima S Problem is whith Low Beam light. At dark time this are no lighting enough putting in risk driving at night time.
Went and started my car and the air bag warning light on the dash came on. I am worried that the air bag won't deploy properly also when the lights are on dim they don't shine very good and the lens are cracked
Low beam headlights produce very little light. They do not illuminate the road, a safety hazard. Driving full time high beams is the only way to drive this car at night, a safety hazzard.
My headlights have not been working for about 2 years. It’s $1200 to get them fixed and I heard there had been a rebate if you pay for it Nissan will reimburse you but there’s no way I can pay $1200 for headlights. My family elderly and I have spent a lot of nights heading to an hospital with dim lights. I was working where I got off at 10pm but had to quit. I’ve been pulled over for three times for my headlights. Although I really think it’s the part behind the headlight they said was bad. You can’t drive safely at night. Nissan please fix!!!
The projector housing in my headlights has been determined to be defective and Nissan was sued because of this. However I have dim headlights on my vehicle which will cost me $1200 to replace and Nissan has told me that I am no longer eligible for a one time replacement. This is unfair in that I was never notified by Nissan about defective headlights which have deteriorated to a point where they are so dim it is unsafe to drive at night.
Headlights don't work properly. I can barely see beyond 2 cars lengths ahead of me unless using full beam. I realize that there was a voluntary recall issued in 2020, however, I am not sure that I was notified. The dealership examined car and noted the reflectors are delaminating, the pattern of which matches that of the recall. Since this is a design flaw I consider Nissan responsible and feel they should replace the headlights at no cost to me. I don't understand why the recall was voluntary and why it had a time limit. Functioning headlights are a necessity.

I RECENTLY WAS PULLED OVER BY STATE TROOPER, HE STATED THAT I DIDNOT TURN OFF MY BRIGHT LIGHTS AND THEN I SHOWED HIM MY DIM LIGHTS. HE STATED, OH, I SEE.... YOU HAVE NO LIGHTING ON THE DIM LIGHTS. I HAVE BEEN ON A WAITING LIST AT WAYCROSS WALKER JONES NISSAN BACK IN 2022. I WAS CONSTANTLY CHECKING BACK AND THEY INFORMED ME THEY WERE WAITNG ON MORE HEADLIGHTS TO BE SHIPPED. WELL TODAY I FOLLOWED UP AND NOW I AM BEING TOLD, THAT NISSAN ISSUED A EXTENDED WARRANTY ON HEADLIGHTS BUT IT EXPIRED IN 2020!!!!! WHAT!!!! Low beam lights are very low and causes poor visibility at night and in hazardous conditions such as rain, etc. I can hardly see while driving at night because of the poor and low visibility.
I was driving on the freeway and my hood popped up and smashed my roof and everything inside the ceiling onto my lap. The lighting and visor broken. Roof and hood damaged. I luckily survived this. I am leading this car. I took it to Nissan when this happened. They said they’d fix it but it’s been months and now no answer.

LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS EXTREMELY DIM
The lighting system on 2014 Nissan Altima completely failed to the point where we couldn't drive the vehicle at night. We were unable to see the road. While searching Internet for potential issues, we found out that Nissan settled a lawsuit regarding the issues related to failing headlight/delamination issue (Suarrez vs. Nissan, 1-855-786-0996). We were never notified of the issue or the opportunity to fix the problem. Please see your file MC-[XXX}. We were hoping to have this corrected, but Nissan refuses to cover the cost of repair, which was estimated at $1,575.58 by our local Nissan dealer. They claim that the deadlines no longer apply to our case. Any help is greatly appreciated since we are sure many other drivers are in similar situation, based on online forums and defect reporting. The headlights are so dim that I have to use bright lights to see.
Head Lamps (Lights) stop working properly. New ballast and lights where installed after detected the Malfunction and still no lighting. I no longer can see when I'm driving at night. Yes vehicle have been inspected by police and dealer.

My Altima is 9 years old now and I know things go bad overtime but my headlights are so dim I can’t see 2 feet in front of me at night snd it’s very very dangerous. I know Nissan had s class action and I was signed up and even had an appointment to fix but sadly my husband got shit while driving home from work in Chicago, he survived thankfully but the next several months revolves around him and doctor appointments, surgeries,etc… and I missed my slot. I think it’s very unfair because these we’re getting dimmer and dimmer since 2016-2017 with the past 3 years so fin you can’t see at all. I’m so afraid I’m going to be able to see and hurt someone badly, and that would kill me in itself!! I tried to have my headlights replaced in 2020 but they told me to wait there was a lawsuit going about this. After it was resolved I had to go online and fill out some info to get on the list. Then I was told they had to order headlights for me. I had to call Nissan corporate office to get on the list. But still my headlight are not fix because they do not have headlights for me.
These lights are so dim, even after switching bulbs it’s like I have 2 iPhone flashlights on the front of my car, I can’t see anything at night without using my brights. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve almost crashed due to low visibility from these dim head lights. I think they have delaminated. No specific date of incident, everyday it’s an issue
The reflecting mechanism in the headlamps are causing the headlights to display a dim light. It makes it difficult to be able to see past about 5ft and extremely difficult to see at night, the vehicle has been inspected by a dealership and an auto shop. The problem started a couple months ago but there was no indicator or warning before the problem occurred.

I spoke with both the dealer (Coggin Nissan on Atlantic, Jacksonville, FL and Nissan this morning. Parts were ordered in August but as of today there is no indication as to when they will be available. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. I cannot use this car safely between dusk and dawn.

My headlights started getting dim about a year ago. I took my car to Firestone and they replaced them. Just a month or so later, I found out that there was a recall in the works. I finally received notification of the recall. I took my car to Nissan of Rockwall and had it tested and was advised that it did meet the qualifications for headlight replacement. This was in June 2022. I was told that the headlights had to be ordered and I was on the list. I have called several times and have been told that I am still on the list and that due to supply chain issues, they still have not received them. My headlights are so dim, that if the street is not well lit, it is very difficult for me to see to safely drive. I don't have the funds to rent another car, but what am I to do if this continues. I will have to drive with my bright lights on. I drive to and from work in the dark every weekday.

The visibility of the headlamps at normal brightness are very dim. I have read about numerous lawsuits regarding this, including a class action, but when I have gone to the dealer with the information postcard that I received in the mail, I am told by Nissan that I am "outside of the window" to have them replaced with newer brighter lamps. Per the website for the class action lawsuit, it should be for 2013-2018 Nissan Altimas ([XXX], et al. v. I personally had at least one issue with a deer strike that I believe could have been prevented if my headlights worked properly. The car has dangerously dim headlights. I can barely see ahead of me at night. I live in Florida and was driving in the rain at night (not by choice) and I had to go extremely slow because I could not see a thing. However, I’ve read many complaints online from other owners with dim lights that Nissan dealerships are passing.

There is a known issue with Altima headlamps that causes dimming of the lights. This resulted in a class action lawsuit. Though Nissan is making a test available to confirm eligibility for replacement, they are not providing a time frame for when they will provide dealers with parts to correct the issue. This is resulting in a severe inability to see well when driving at night especially if weather events occur and/or lighting of roads changes. I qualified, per dealer, for headlamp replacement but they cannot provide an ETA as to when the work can be done because Nissan is not giving them any sort of time frame. I have chosen to only drive roads I know during night hours, however, unexpected events like sudden rain showers or lighting being off on roadways unexpectedly - is a huge hazard and makes it difficult to see people, animals, and road markings. I am having to limit the use of my vehicle in order to drive safely, however there are times when unknown/unexpected circumstances beyond my control change visibility of roadways and the dim lights cause an enormous safety concern. That Nissan will not even provide an ETA on replacement headlamps is severely irresponsible and negligent. This is an ongoing matter and not limited to one specific date.

My 2014 Nissan Altima has dangerously dim headlights. At night driver and passengers cannot tell the lights are on. In foggy, rainy, and snow conditions at night, they are virtually useless. I have had new bulbs installed, which did not improve the problem. I have been told the problem emanates from a manufacturer defect in the headlight assembly. Both headlight assemblies must be replaced, which is very costly. This safety issue could cause a traffic accident. We often must turn the high beams on just to see the roadway. This could also cause another driver to be blinded.
The low beam headlights are almost non existent. The only way to get sufficient lighting for nighttime driving is to use the hi beam lights exclusively. There is no safe speed to operate vehicle with only the low beams. It is not an issue with bulbs, but rather the entire headlight assembly. I will put a date in the "additional details" box, but it is an issue that has been an ongoing degradation of the lights and not a date specific problem.
The headlights are failing. We have replaced the bulbs and it does not fix the issue. When driving at night, we must use the high beams. This issue is a hazarded and could lead to hitting an object in the road due to the failure of the head lights.

Front lights very dim, cracked light covers
Headlights are very dim to the point it's a safety issue. Only getting worse over time and it looks like I have no headlights on . Have to drive with brights on to see road and other cars can see me .

Head lights are not visible when on low beam at night
As many other complaints I have seen on here, the headlights on the car go dim over time. If we can switch the bulb, that would be great but that doesn't solve the issue. I can barely see at night when driving. I avoid driving at night because of that reason. The manufacturer should be responsible for replacing these for the customer. We shouldn't have to wait for someone to get hurt or worse before something is done about this.
Low beam head lights are not bright enough. I have replaced the bulbs 2 times, but no improvement at all. it is dangerous to drive with this light at nights.
The lights are horrible on a Nissan Altima 2014. I have changed the bulbs 3 different times and it does not help. I am forced to drive with my bright lights on just to be able to see. This is a huge safety hazard because I am not able to drive without them on bright so it blinds the other drivers but I have no choice.
When I bought the car the headlights were dim they driver side headlight keeps burning out they said it wasn't covered under the warranty whatsoever but yet you can't see at night to drive if it is dark I cannot drive my car never have been able to since about it but yet Nissan says nothing's wrong with it hit the repairs on me this is not the first time I've made a complaint about this but it does no good
Low beams are too dim while driving at night they look like they are practically not even on at all.
The headlights have deteriorated so badly that I cannot see to drive at night. A quick search online reveals this is a very common problem with this model. I bought the car new and it has been very well maintained. The reflective internal coating on the headlight assembly deteriorates apparently due to the high heat of the halogen bulbs. This is a tremendous safety issue. Please due the right thing and force them to recall these cars to fix this very dangerous situation.
Low beams are extremely dim, truly making this vehicle unsafe to drive at night and at night while raining and seems the only way to correct is to replace with the same projector lights which are still defective.
Low beam lights extremely low, I almost hit the median because I could not see it ahead at night , even when the low beam lights were turned on. I notice the low beam light are very dim and I often have to use the Hi beam lights to be able to see the road at night. This extremely low light issue has been going on for years even after I replaced the light bulbs with brighter light bulbs. The problem is really bad , both when driving in the city and driving on the road, .
The low beam lights offer NO light, which is extremely dangerous when driving at night and also in hazardous weather conditions. I can't see the road at all and am forced to use my high-beams. I have replaced the bulbs at least twice now and still no improvement. It is a critical issue Nissan needs to address because you can't see the road, other cars, wildlife, etc. They are putting everyone who has this model in life-threatening danger.

THEY SUGGESTED RUNNING A DIAGNOSTIC TO IDENTIFY THE SOURCE BUT IT WOULD COST $375 OR SOMETHING JUST TO DO THAT... I MENTIONED THAT THEY RECENTLY DID A DIAGNOSTIC (THAT I PAID FOR WHEN THEY WERE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT ANOTHER CONCERN I HAD WITH THE BRAKE LIGHT GOING AND NO ISSUES WERE FOUND, JUST NEEDED TO TOP OFF THE BRAKE FLUID) SO I PASSED ON IT... I THEN INQUIRED ABOUT REPLACEMENTS AND WAS TOLD THEY WOULD BE ABOUT $400 TO REPLACE BOTH SIDES. FROM THAT POINT I GOOGLED COST TO COMPARE AND CAME ACROSS ARTICLES, FORUMS THAT BROUGHT TO LIGHT THAT I WASN'T ALONE WITH MY CONCERN AND ISSUE WITH THE HEADLIGHTS. AND SOME COMMENTS MENTIONED REPLACEMENTS SUCH AS HID OR LED DIDN'T DO MUCH TO HELP THE DIM BEAM. THE ESTIMATED COST OF THIS REPAIR WAS 800$. I HAVE NEVER OWNED A CAR WHERE THE HEADLIGHTS HAVE FAILED IN THIS MATTER AND AS A STUDENT IT IS UNACCEPTABLE AND DANGEROUS TO HAVE LOW BEAMS THAT ARE SO DIM THEY DO NOT EVEN APPEAR TO BE ON AT NIGHT. WE PURCHASED A NISSAN ALTIMA SV, THE HEADLIGHTS HAVE PROGRESSIVELY GOTTEN SO DIM THAT AT NIGHT, IN RAIN, SNOW ETC. THEY PROVIDE NO ADEQUATE LIGHT TO LIGHT THE ROADWAY IN FRONT OF THE CAR. WE HAVE TO RESORT TO TURNING ON OUR HIGH BEAM ALMOST CONTINUOUSLY TO SEE THE ROAD AND OBSTACLES. WHAT WE HAVE FOUND OUT IS THAT IT IS A DEFECT IN MATERIALS AND IT WILL COST ME APPROXIMATELY $1000 TO FIX, WHICH I CANNOT AFFORD. AT THIS TIME NISSAN IS SILENT ON THE ISSUE. I FEEL LIKE THE LIVES OF MY FAMILY AND OTHERS ON THE ROADS ARE ENDANGERED BY THESE DEFECTIVE LIGHTS THAT NISSAN REFUSES TO ADDRESS. TOLD HER EVERYTHING I JUST STATED ITS OBVIOUS IF YOU LOOK THRU THE LENS THAT YOU CAN SEE THE INTERNAL REFLECTION ABILITY IS GONE. SHE TOLD ME I HAD TO TAKE IT TO NISSAN AND PAY FOR THE DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIRS TO GET IT BACK TO OE. IF YOU LOOK AT THE NISSAN FORUM THIS IS A SEVERE OCCURRING ISSUE. LATER WHEN I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY SUGGESTED NEW HEADLIGHT ASSEMBALLIES AS THE CHROME PAINTING ON THE INSIDES OF THE LENSES HAS FADED AND AS A RESULT IS NOT REFLECTING MUCH LIGHT ONTO THE ROAD. THE ESTIMATED COST OF THIS REPAIR WAS 800$. I HAVE NEVER OWNED A CAR WHERE THE HEADLIGHTS HAVE FAILED IN THIS MATTER AND AS A STUDENT IT IS UNACCEPTABLE AND DANGEROUS TO HAVE LOW BEAMS THAT ARE SO DIM THEY DO NOT EVEN APPEAR TO BE ON AT NIGHT. THIS WILL END UP COSTING $800, FOR HEADLIGHTS. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS PROBLEM. I WAS TOLD I WAS LUCKY THAT MY CAR DID NOT CATCH ON FIRE. I WAS TOLD BY THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP THAT IT IS DUE TO THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY FREQUENTLY GOING BAD. THEY TOLD ME THAT IT IS FAIRLY COMMON FOR THE REFLECTIVE PART OF THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY TO GO CLOUDY AND GO DIM. THEY TOLD ME THAT SINCE THIS WAS CONSIDERED STANDARD WEAR AND TEAR, THEREFORE NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY. THEY RECOMMENDED ME TO REPLACE THE WHOLE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY FOR OVER A GRAND. I WAS EVEN RECOMMENDED TO BUY THEM AFTER MARKET TO SAVE, HOWEVER, THIS SHOULD NOT EVEN BE AN ISSUE! THIS ISSUE PRESENTED ITSELF AFTER OWNING IT FROM NEW FOR ABOUT 5 YEARS. FINALLY, I'VE NOTICED THAT TH PROBLEM IS SO SEVERE THAT LOW BEAM LIGHT FROM VEHICLES BEHIND ME CAST MORE LIGHT THAN MY OWN LOW BEAMS. TO SEE WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT, I MUST USE MY BRIGHTS WHICH THEN MAKES ME A SAFETY HAZARD TO THE VISIBILITY OF OTHER DRIVERS ON THE ROAD. I HAVE REPLACED THE LIGHT BULBS AND ALSO UPGRADED TO LED BULBS WITH LITTLE TO NO IMPROVEMENT. THIS ISSUE IS RELEVANT ON CITY STREETS, HIGHWAYS, OR COUNTRY ROADS, FROM DUSK UNTIL DAWN. IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND POSES RISK NOT ONLY TO THE DRIVER BECAUSE THEY CAN'T SEE WITHOUT DRIVING WITH HIGH BEAMS ON, BUT ALSO TO ONCOMING TRAFFIC BEING SUBJECTED TO BLINDING LIGHTS IN THEIR EYES.

ABOUT 1/3 OF THE REFLECTIVE SURFACE INSIDE THE PROJECTOR WAS BURN OFF AND PARTS WERE CRACKED FROM THE HEAT OF THE HEAD LAMP. THE HEADLIGHTS WERE SO DIM AT TIMES IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE THE ROAD. THIS IS A VERY UNSAFE CONDITION AND SHOULD NOT HAPPEN IN A FIVE YEAR OLD CAR. THE DEALER WANTED ABOUT $1000.00 TO REPAIR AS BOTH THE RIGHT AND LEFT HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES NEED TO BE REPLACED. I WAS ABLE TO PURCHASE THE GENUINE NISSAN PARTS FOR ABOUT HALF THAT PRICE AND I DID IT MYSELF.

THE HIGH BEAMS DO NOT HAVE THIS ISSUE AS THEY ARE ONLY HALOGEN BULBS AND NOT PROJECTORS. ONE MUST DRIVE WITH THE HIGH BEAMS ON TO SAFELY SEE ON THE HIGHWAY AND ON DARK STREETS AND THIS IS NOT SAFE FOR SURROUNDING DRIVERS EITHER.

THE ILLUMINATION IS SO POOR THAT SECURITY LIGHTS THAT ARE OVER PEOPLE'S DRIVEWAYS ARE BRIGHTER THAN THE HEADLIGHTS AND DRIVING AT NIGHT IN THE RAIN IS BASICALLY IMPOSSIBLE ON LOW BEAM. I'VE TALKED TO A NISSAN MECHANIC AND HE SAID THE ONLY TRUE FIX WILL BE TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY BECAUSE THEIR ARE ISSUES WITH THE MATERIALS BREAKING DOWN INSIDE THE PROJECTOR PORTION OF THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY. IF THAT'S THE CASE NISSAN HAS DONE A POOR JOB OF DESIGNING THEIR HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY AND SHOULD REPLACE THEM AT THEIR COST AS THIS IS A VERY REAL HAZARD. AFTER SPEAKING TO THE MECHANIC I STARTED LOOKING ONLINE AND HAVE FOUND THIS ISN'T AN ISOLATED ISSUE, EVIDENTLY IT'S ALL ALTIMAS FROM 2013-2015 THAT ARE EXPERIENCING THIS PROBLEM.

WHEN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY I OFTEN TIMES HAVE TO TURN THE LIGHTS OFF AND TURN BACK ON AS IT APPEARS TO NOT BE ON. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE LIKE THIS. 2014 VEHICLE SHOULD NOT HAVE LOW BEAM ISSUES AS THE CAR DOES.

THE LOW BEAM LIGHTING IS AT THE POINT TO WHERE IT IS BECOMING A HAZARD TO ME AS THE DRIVER; BUT ALSO, IS BECOMING A HAZARD TO ONCOMING DRIVERS, AS THE USE OF HIGH-BEAM LIGHTING IS BEING USED MORE FREQUENTLY. THE BRIGHNESS OF THE LOW BEAM LIGHT DOES NOT CHANGE IF THE VEHICLE IS PARKED, STANDING, OR IN MOTION, AND THE DIM LIGHTING IS MOST HAZARDOUS WHEN DRIVING AROUND CORNERS OR ON DARK ROADS WITHOUT STREET LIGHTING. IN READING ON LINE , I FOUND SO MANY PEOPLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS AND NISSAN KNOWS ABOUT THIS . I ALMOST KILLED SOMEONE LAST NIGHT BECAUSE I COULD NOT SEE THEM BECAUSE OF THE LIGHTS. UNTIL SOMEONE ACTUALLY GETS KILLED , I DON'T THINK ANYONE WILL DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT, BUT NISSAN KNOWS AND THEY WILL NOT RECALL.

I THEN UPGRADED TO LED LIGHTING AND THE LIGHTING PROJECTION IS STILL TO DIM TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. I MENTIONED IT TO MY DEALER SEVERAL TIMES AND CALLED NISSAN TO REPORT THIS AND THEY SAID THEY DID NOT HAVE A RECALL FOR THIS MATTER. I PULLED INTO PARKING GARAGE AND ATTEMPTED TO OPEN WINDOW TO USE KEY FOB FOR GATE AND HAD NO OPERATING WINDOWS, INCLUDING SUNROOF OR LOCKS. PUT CAR IN PARK AND COULD NOT GET IT INTO ANOTHER GEAR.TRAPPED IN CAR FOR 15 MIN. WITH CAR RUNNING- PASSENGER DOOR THEN UNLOCKED. AAA CALLED. CAR RAN FOR 3 HRS. AAA DISABLED THE ELECTRICAL OPERATING THE FUEL PUMP. CAR TOWED TO COCHRAN IN PITTSBURGH. SINCE A RESTART RESETS THE COMPUTER, NO CODE ON DIAGNOSTIC WOULD BE FOUND. COCHRAN CONSIDERS THE SITUATION RESOLVED. NISSAN HAS A CASE # AND SEVERAL RECORDED (BY NISSAN) CONVERSATIONS HAVE OCCURRED WITH REGIONAL REP. AND THAT REP. WILL NOT SEND WRITTEN FINDINGS OF INVESTIGATION (CHECK THE I KEY)AS IT IS INTERNAL INFORMATION AND I WILL PAY ALL DIAGNOSTIC FEES ASSOCIATED.
