I am writing to formally request a recall for my 2016 Nissan Altima due to a known issue with the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). Recently, my vehicle has exhibited concerning symptoms, including an inability to exceed 20 mph while hitting 3 RPM, and significant hesitation when accelerating, followed by abrupt lunging. Notably, these issues occurred without any prior warning lamps or indicators until recently with the RPM issue. Despite taking my vehicle to Nissan for diagnostic scans, which cost approximately $600, no specific issues were identified. These problems have not been reproduced during dealer inspections or by law enforcement, yet they pose a significant safety risk to myself and others on the road. I would like to qualify for the free recall service to have this issue inspected and resolved by an authorized Nissan dealer. Please provide me with the necessary information to proceed with this request. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
I have a 2016 Nissan Altima 3.5 Sr I brought into the Nissan dealership multiple times since 2022 now in 2025 at 100,000 miles to transmission is not working it's dying at intersections and oil is pouring out of the engine I was told that there was a recall that expired in April of 2023 however I was never notified about the recall despite taking my car to the Nissan dealership prior to that date no one ever said that there was a problem with the CVT I've stored my car multiple years because I'm a veteran and I had to deploy so it wasn't driven as much and now that's crossed 100,000 miles it's on its last leg this isn't fair the 2019 models are getting recalled they should fix mine I've taken care of this car and now they're trying to deny me my mobility I'm a retiree I don't have that much money the last time I took it to the dealership they said I needed a new engine never once mentioning that there were previous recalls on this vehicle. I need help.
Vehicle starts fine once the entire engine heats up is when problems start the loss of engine power until engine is able to restart resetting errors this would gradually get worse and the finaly the engine completely stalls out at one moment the computer says it’s the evap then is says cam sensor then the O2 sensor then is said it was the throttle body then at one point it said fuel pump and even told me it was the two upp sensors while trying to start it should start but idling. Vary ruff and severe engine, shaking while idling. Then it refuses to start I need this vehicle investigation for this car and have it applied to this vehicle as well as the symptoms are identical!!!
After the car warms up it will not accelerate like it should. I was stopped at a light - when I went to turn left at the light my car would not accelerate. It slowly rolled out into oncoming traffic. Like it was in limp mode or something. Then at the last minute the car jolted forward like I had the gas pedal fully depressed. Very scary and unsafe. I’ve had this happen many times. I’ve taken it in but haven’t found a solution.
After driving the vehicle for about an hour, when coming to a stop, the vehicle will not accelerate. Stepping in the acceleration pedal does nothing. No RPM increase, nothing. After 10 seconds the vehicle suddenly takes off. After angry drivers honk. The RPMS rev up and will not decrease to normal. I am limited to 25 mph with very high RPMs. Same thing repeats after every stop. The problem goes away intermittently after restarting the car. I've almost died trying to make turns in front of oncoming traffic when it will not accelerate.
2016 Altima 66,700 miles At a light, when push the accelerator my car hesitates for about 4 seconds. Then it slowly gains power. This is an accident waiting to happen. 2016 Altima needs a recall. I see multiple complaints on the internet as well.
Car just randomly “ gave “ out . I couldn’t accelerate in the middle of intestate traffic !! The engine and the transmission blew at the same time. No warning , no check engine light ! Up to date on oil changes and other maintenance. Car only has 150k miles on it , no way this both happens at the same time. Complete limp mode. Danger to myself and most importantly my kids. How the engine and transmission just fails. Now I’m liable to pay 9,000, no warning no nothing. Complete failure . This isn’t the first time I’ve heard of this year make and model having transmission and engine issues. How terrible!
Car will either not start or heists to start code with check engine light is P0340 for camshaft position sensor I have already replaced this once before 2yrs ago it should not need to be replaced again so soon. I have read online where others with same make and model cars having similar issues and their cars stalled while driving mine hasn't as of yet, but could when I take to mechanic shop. This is a major safety problem. There has been a recall but not for my year model car and needs to be fixed for more cars are having similar issues and is a major concern. Please look more in to this thank you.
If I'm in city traffic with lots of traffic and a red light for a while or in a drive thru, my car takes longer to accelerate after coming to a complete stop. I'll push the gas pedal in to go and it takes a few seconds to get moving up to normal acceleration speed. The first few seconds of pushing the gas pedal my car barely moves, similar to idling forward without gas, even if I floor it, but once it gets going it drives normally. It works well driving long distance and only happens on stop and go trafffic and at a drive thru. I have a 2016 Nissan Altima SV 2.5.
I have a 2016 Nissan Altima 2.5SR and have noticed every time I'm on the interstate and I have driven at least 70 miles of driving distance, the vehicle will all of sudden lose power and the accelerator will be all the way down and it won't go any faster. So, if the speed limit is 70mph and will automatically drop down to 60 and it has done this in front of an 18-wheeler one time scared me to death. Mind you no warning lights come on or anything it just loses power Nissan really needs to resolve this issue and fix it before someone gets seriously injured. Now Iam a disabled driver and I'm not trying hurt myself even further or loss of life.
Failure in active grill shutter. National issue.
Vehicle will delay acceleration when I have stopped at a stop sign or stop light especially if I was stopped on a hill. When I press the gas pedal it will delay acceleration for a couple of seconds and then finally take off. It was happening every so often but now it is happening more often. If I turn the car off and start it again, it goes away for a little while but comes back. The check engine light doesn't come on when this happens.
I was driving on the freeway with my 6yr & 11yr daughters when my car stop accelerating and started to slow down I’ll hit the gas pedal and the RPMS will go up but the car wouldn’t advance ! I had to get off the freeway before the car completely stopped in the middle of the freeway as the velocity of the vehicle was getting slower and slower ! Take in mind I try to do this as safe as possible but my car was in the far end of the emergency lane I almost got rear ended my kids were crying scare ! I turn off the car once to the side of the freeway check the hood and nothing out of the ordinary. Turn the car back on and it was driving normal ! On the next day that’s when the check engine light turn on ! Took it to the dealer and they told me I need a complete new transmission!
From the Last 1 months, I can see sometimes when I accelerate my car it's not accelerating properly but the RPM is increasing, and sometimes after I stop in traffic when I accelerate my car it's not accelerating immediately and when I press the gas paddle hard suddenly it accelerates. It's a safety concern for me.
2016 Nissan Altima SR has a delayed acceleration issue that nearly caused me to be broadsided while making a left turn. The issue has been ongoing for years and when taken into the dealership they claimed to not be able to reproduce the failure. This is because the issue is sporadic and unpredictable when it may occur. There are many forums I have found identifying a great deal of others experiencing the same failure. This needs to be corrected by Nissan.
I’m starting to experience issues with the CTV transmission. I’m experiencing jerking and stalling while driving on a busy highway with cars traveling 55mph or more. It is extremely dangerous driving when these things occur when cars are traveling at those speeds and the vehicle hesitate without warning.
I believe The failure that i'm experiencing is with the vehicle's transmission. The car stalls or refuses to shift gears, has trouble accelerating, and when the car is trying to accelerating the car makes an unfamiliar noise which is quiet loud and noticeable and sometimes shake or full on just pushes forward randomly. I believe the safety for mine and others can be at risk at times because they would be times where the car will not accelerate, even when your foot is pushed all the way on the pedal and as a result the car begins to slow down. This is can be risk depending on where you're driving for an example if you're on the highway or a congested area going at a specified speed. From my understanding after doing research I have found out that several others have been experiencing this same problem, so to my understanding this is a common issue and I'm not sure why it was never addressed. I have taken the car to a mechanic where they said the problem is the CVT Transmission. The Check Engine Light is on. This vehicle has not been in an accident.
Vehicle will delay acceleration when I have stopped at a stop sign or stop light. When I press the gas pedal it will delay acceleration for a couple of seconds and then final take off. It doesn't happen often and I find that if I turn the engine off and wait a few minutes and start it again, it goes away for several days but does return.
Transmission problem.
The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Altima. The contact stated while driving 35 MPH, the vehicle made an abnormal sound and the RPM’s revved up and the vehicle started shuddering. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact veered to the side of the road and turned off the vehicle. The contact stated upon restarting the vehicle, the accelerator pedal was depressed and went all the way to the floorboard; however, the vehicle failed to respond. The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle two more times. The failure persisted but the contact was able to continue driving. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the mass airflow sensor and intake manifold were replaced; however, the failure persisted. The contact referenced Nissan Technical Service Bulletin Number: NTB16-121a. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.

I only had my vehicle(2016NissanAltima) for less than 2 weeks before the vehicles major problems started. The engine consistently Stalls, Surges and Shudders. As well as the Shifter locking itself to where it wont shift out of park. There are no and have never been any warning lights to alert me. The CVT and the Computer are very faulty. To the point the vehicle is now a Death Trap. When driving the car the RPM will randomly accelerate and I have no way to control the vehicle and then vehicle will go into "Limp Mode" consistently and won't go any faster or slower than the speed the car chooses to do. I don't trust anything of what it says on the dashboard as far as Gas amount, Odometer, MILWarnings, Speed or otherwise. If there are no warnings from the car to alert me with, then that is a major issue with the car and is not mechanically sound and very dangerous for me and other drivers on the road. I have had to make the car sit the majority of the short time I have had it. Because I simply won't drive very far because of the dangers it puts me in everytime I have drove it. I have had to spend my money on transportation to and from work instead of making my first car payment. At this point I want to just Opt-out with the vehicle entirely and give it back to the dealership. This car is just unsafe and should not have been sold in the condition it is in. I only got to drive the vehicle 10 days or so before major issues started with the vehicle. I have not a clue what the details of what is wrong with the car. The only warning signal I do see now, is the MIL and that is not even mentioned in the option menu of the car settings etc. This car needs to be re-manufactured so that it can become a safe running vehicle. I don't have the money that it will take to fix the car. It's far too expensive for me or any hard working citizen to ever afford. I don't advise anyone to own a vehicle of this kind.
The vehicle will randomly stop accelerating while driving. Also will have a delayed acceleration randomly too.
The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds and after turning on the air conditioner, the vehicle intermittently stalled with no warning lights illuminated. The contact then stated that while driving at approximately 65 MPH, the check engine light was illuminated as the vehicle was stalling. The contact stated that despite depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle failed to accelerate and then lost motive power. The contact managed to pull over and after successfully restarting the vehicle, the check engine light remained illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to an independent mechanic or a local dealer for diagnosis or repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The approximate failure mileage was 98,000.

Car will not accelerate when depressing gas pedal. Will hesitate from 1 to 5 seconds. Example, driving on the freeway doing 60 mph changing lanes and lose acceleration. This happens at dead stop to 60 mph. MAJOR safety concerns. Brought my vehicle to Nissan dealership and the issue came back the next day. My vehicle is 2016 Nissan Altima
Vehicle jerks as RPM needle rapidly bounces between 10rpm and 40rpm when accelerating, sometimes subtle jerk when decelerating.
After some driving specially in hot temperature or after long distances, the engine becomes nonresponsive. Particularly when it comes to a complete stop, there is a delay between pushing the gas pedal and when the car starts to move. The delay can be as long as few seconds. This problem does not happen all the time but happens quite often in hot weather and long driving. It is very dangerous. In one occasion I was trying to make a left turn against the coming traffic, I had to make a short break for a pedestrian and then my car did not move and a fast coming traffic almost hit my car as I could not move fast enough due to the transmission delay. I took it to Nissan dealership last year. They did some minor work and it was fixed for a while but the issue is back again. I took it to Nissan dealership for repair last month but they could not reproduce the error code by just driving around for few minutes. They refused to fix it. I complained to Nissan and have talked to few representative about the safety issue I have with this car. They refused to take it seriously and they tell me that unless the dealership can produce the error code they can not fix it. This car is putting the safety of my family and myself in risk and Nissan does not care. Please let me know what I should do. Thank you, [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
I have intermittent acceleration issues and high RPM revving on my car, which causes safety issues especially when making left turns across traffic. This seems to be a common problem. I have not taken to a Nissan dealer yet, but have talked to one and they say I need a new transmission probably for $6,000. I also took it to my local mechanic a few months ago but he could not diagnose anything because it was intermittent. But anyway its frustrating to have a car with known issues and well documented. I don't mind spending the $6,000 if it actually fixes the problem but based upon my research it could be many different things.
My 2016 Altima is experiencing hesitation when accelerating, jerking and shuddering while driving. The RPMs go up but the car doesn't respond. Yes, the vehicle is available for inspection. The car doesn't respond as it should when entering traffic (feels like the transmission is slipping) which means I have to slow down while merging into traffic on the freeway rather than accelerate. It puts myself and passengers at risk as well as other drivers. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer or dealer for this issue. This vehicle only has 33,000 miles on the car but the symptom's were apparent obvious around 25,000 miles.
The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Altima. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled. The check engine and traction control warning light were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the battery terminal connector was too small for the battery. A connector was added. The contact called another dealer, King Windward Nissan (45-568 Kamehameha Hwy, Kaneohe, HI 96544) and was informed that the vehicle was not covered under warranty. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the contact was informed that the failure was due to the transmission. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was approximately 104,000.
Mileage: 104,000
The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Altima. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH, the hood unlatched, opened, and struck the windshield. The contact stated that the windshield was cracked and was partially broken with shattered pieces falling off. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact veered to the side of the road and turned the vehicle off. The contact stated upon attempting to restart the vehicle, the vehicle failed to restart. The contact's friends arrived at the scene and assisted the contact in jumpstarting the vehicle. Additionally, the contact stated that the hood was severely bent and would not properly close. The vehicle was then taken to the contact's residence. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the dealer. A case was opened. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle would be repaired at his expense. The VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V315000 (Latches/Locks/Linkages). The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 72,000.

The transmission has went out twice on this car, this will be the second time. It is dangerous and a major safety issue for me to drive my car especially with children in it. I can be at a red light and on the highway etc. it’s very slow to accelerate that can cause an accident and other things. It drives very slowly on highways and on the road. It jerks and everything that causes me to have anxiety attacks etc. 3 months after I brought the car the transmission went out and 2 1/2 years later it’s going out again. I need my car to run properly and to be safe for me and my children.
The transmission has went out twice on this car within 2 1/2 years. I don’t drive it excessively. It is dangerous and a major safety issue for me to drive my car especially with children in it. I can be at a red light and on the highway etc. it’s very slow to accelerate that can cause an accident and other things, at the red light it takes a long time to start moving, it’s very sluggish. It drives very slowly on highways like 20 mph and on the road. It will start off slow and then accelerate and go super fast, that really scares me. It jerks really bad and everything that causes me to have anxiety attacks, IBS etc. Its getting worst everyday. It’s a major safety hazard on the road especially for my children. My son is scared, panics and cry’s as well in the car because how it’s driving. I have a baby and an 8 year old. I’m disabled as well as my son. Can you please help I’m so scared it’s very unsafe. I have to drive to get myself to work, doctors appointments, my children to school and daycare. I hope you understand. Please investigate this. I don’t want nothing happening to me or my children or anyone else. Thank you for your time. Have a wonderful day and please be safe.
2016 Nissan Altima 29,000 MILES! FAULTY TRANSMISSION! Why hasn’t a RECALL been issued? Nissan dealership informed me that I will have to replace the transmission! This will cost me $4,500.00
The car stalls out when driving. Gas is engaged but car will not move. Jerks, bumps. Within a few seconds, car resumes movements but jerks.
Acceleration from stand still occasionally does not occur. This causes us to press harder on the acceleration pedal and suddenly the car accelerates with high RPM. There is no check engine light. This is particularly at risky when left side turns at traffic signals are made. The problem has not been reproduced but has happened occasionally and usually turning off the engine completely and restarting the car results in the resolution of the issue temporarily. Car has not been inspected by anyone so far.
The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Altima. The contact stated while driving 73 MPH, the RPM began to raise and lower quickly. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to park on the right side of the road and turned off the ignition. The contact stated he waited around 10 minutes before restarting the vehicle but continued to experience the failure while driving to his residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 84,000.

I have jerking in what I believe to be the transmission when accelerating.
Stopped propelling the car. Might be a transmission problem.
On june 10,2021 i had to put my car in the shop bc the engine was running poorly. My car stalled on me at intersection and didnt want to pull. I was in panic thinking a car was going to hit me. Luckly i was able to get it to pull to the nearest vacant lot. I immediately stopped and let all moving traffic clear the way. Then i got my car to go and i had to gain enough speed to make it over the overpass without stalling again. When i finally got tje car home my husband had it put in shop tw next day. Mechanic hooked it up to a machine and the codes for transmission popped up. My life was at risk as i had no oter choice but to play rush and roulette. Li
I WAS DRIVING MY VEHICLE, AN WHEN I WOULD START FROM 1ST GEAR MY VEHICLE WOULD SHAKE WHEN TAKING OFF. I HAD TAKEN IT IN TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THEM TAKE LOOK AT IT. THE TECH HAD TOLD ME IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION. I'VE HAD THEM LOG THAT INFO. NOW IT'S FUTURE AND THAT PROBLEM HAD ESCALATED TO WHERE IT STILL DOES THE SHAKING BUT ALOT WORSE. NOW IT DOESN'T WANT TO SHIFT OUT OF 2ND GEAR. AT THE TIME OF ME DRIVING THE VEHICLE I WAS ON THE FREEWAY AND THE VEHICLE HAD SLIPPED OUT OF GEAR AN IT SEEMED AS IT CAME OUT OF GEAR AN DROPPED TO A LOWER GEAR ALMOST CAUSING A MAJOR ACCIDENT.

I HAVE A 2016 NISSAN ALTIMA. FIRST: I WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT IN WHICH A REGULAR TRUCK HAULING AN ENCLOSED TRAILER DROVE OVER A LARGE PIECE OF PLYWOOD ON THE INTERSTATE AT 70MPH IN FRONT OF ME (ALSO GOING ABOUT 70 MPH) CAUSING THE PIECE OF PLYWOOD TO RAISE OFF OF THE ROAD AFTER HE CLEARED IT AND IT FLEW INTO THE FRONT OF MY VEHICLE AND BOUNCED UP ONTO THE HOOD AND THEN HIT THE ROOF BEFORE FLYING OFF OF MY CAR. DURING THIS PROCESS, PIECES OF THE PLYWOOD BECAME STUCK IN THE GRILL AREA OF MY CAR. THERE WERE NO INJURIES, THANKFULLY, BUT I AM CONCERNED THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. SECOND: I'VE HAD THIS CAR SINCE JULY OF 2019. OVER THE PAST 6 MONTHS I HAVE NOTICED THAT WHEN I PRESS THE GAS, THE RPMS RISE BUT THE TRANSMISSION TAKES A BIT TO SHIFT INTO GEAR CAUSING A LAG IN ACCELERATION. I HAVE ALSO NOTICED THAT IF I AM AT A LIGHT OR A STOP AND SHIFT INTO DRIVE SPORT, IT DOESN'T DO THIS. I HAVE GOTTEN IN THE HABIT OF SHIFTING INTO THE SPORT MODE WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP SIGN OR RED LIGHT. THIRD: MY DAUGHTER WAS HIT TODAY BY A TRUCK CROSSING LANES TO TURN IN FRONT OF HER. SHE WAS TRAVELING AT APPX 35 MPH. THE TRUCK HIT MY PASSENGER SIDE FRONT AREA, DESTROYING MY HEADLIGHT, BUMPER, AND GRILL. IT WAS HIT HARD AND THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE SEATBELT DID NOT LOCK, CAUSING HER TO BOUNCE FORWARD AND SMACK HER HEAD ON THE STEERING WHEEL. I AM CONCERNED NOW ABOUT THE SEATBELTS AND AIRBAGS AND AM MORE WORRIED THAT THEY ARE DEFECTIVE AFTER READING OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THESE SAME ISSUES. I LOVE MY CAR, BUT IT DOESN'T SEEM TO BE VERY SAFE AT ALL.

WHEN EVER I'M AT A LIGHT TO LONG, THE CARS BEEN RUNNING FOR A WHILE, OR I'M IN THE DRIVE THRU THE CAR TAKES A COUPLE SECONDS TO ACCELERATE. I'VE BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TWICE AND THEY UPDATED THE COMPUTER SYSTEM. THEY CAN'T RECREATE THE PROBLEM. THIS IS A REPEATED PROBLEM
TRANSMISSION IS GOING OUT AT 53,000 MILES. THE CAR WILL NOT ACCELERATE PROPERLY EVEN THOUGH RPM IS REVVING THERE IS NO POWER TO THE CAR. VERY DANGEROUS WHEN MAKING TURNS OUT IN FRONT OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC BECAUSE WHEN YOU GO TO TURN CAR LOSES POWER SO YOU CAN EASILY GET T- BONED.THE CAR HAS EVEN TURNED OFF COMPLETELY WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY LOSING ALL POWER INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THIS OCCURRED BEFORE THE TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS AT ABOUT 40,000 MILES.

2016 NISSAN ALTIMA-MY PROBLEM IS THIS: IT RUNS GREAT WHEN I CAN GET IT TO RUN.THEN AFTER SITTING FOR A LITTLE BIT, I GO OUT AND PUSH THE BUTTON-ITS COMPLETELY DEAD! I GIVE IT A JUMP THINKING MAYBE ITS THE BATTERY-NOPE-STILL DEAD. HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE SHOP-THEY HAD IT FOR A WEEK NO PROBLEM-THE VERY NEXT DAY IT WAS DEAD!!THERES NOTHING-NO CLICKING OR ANYTHING.I AM HEADING BACK TO DEALERSHIP TOMORROW TO SEE WHAT THEY CAN DO.IT HAPPENED TO ME ONCE AT THE GAS STATION BUT LUCKILY IT WORKED WHEN I GAVE IT A JUMP.I WAS JUST CURIOUS TO SEE IF ANYONE ELSE HAS THIS PROBLEM. I AM OVER 60 YRS OLD WOMAN-THIS COULD BE DANGEROUS NOT JUST FOR ME BUT ANYONE.

AFTER STOPPING AND GOING A DECENT AMOUNT (SUCH AS A DRIVE THRU) THE CAR HAS A DELAY OF SHIFTING GEARS AND STARTING TO MOVE AFTER COMPLETELY STOPPED. I AM NOT SURE WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY VEHICLE. THE RPMS WILL GO SIGNIFICANTLY UP BEFORE INCREASING SPEED. IT WILL DO THIS ON SLOW OR FAST ROADS.

LAST SUMMER I HAD AN ISSUE WITH THE BUTTERFLY VALVE ON THE EXHAUST SYSTEM. IT WAS A SATURDAY, I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK AND THE ONLY PLACE THAT WAS OPEN AND THE CLOSEST WAS THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP. I TOOK IT IN THERE THEY FIXED IT, BUT THE REPAIRS WERE OVER 1 GRAND. I DON'T HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY LYING AROUND SO I CALLED NISSAN CORPORATE TO ASK IF I CAN HAVE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. THEY SAID BECAUSE I DON'T SERVICE MY CAR AT THE DEALERSHIP THEY CAN NOT FINANCE ME AND HELP ME WITH IT. THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP IS OUT OF MY WAY TO GET IT SERVICED. SECOND ISSUE STARTED RECENTLY AND THAT IS WHEN I AM DRIVING MY CAR THERE IS NOT VERY GOOD ACCELERATION AND ONCE I HIT 20 MPH I START TO HEAR A WHINING NOISE. I DID SOME DIGGING IN SEVERAL ONLINE FORUMS AND THOSE WITH SIMILAR ISSUES HAVE BEEN TOLD ITS THE CVT TRANSMISSION. LAST WEEK I BARLEY WENT OVER 73,000 MILES ON MY ODOMETER. I DO NOT HAVE MONEY TO REPLACE AN ENTIRE TRANSMISSION, NOR DO I REALLY CARE TO. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER NISSAN AS LONG AS I LIVE. THERE COOPERATE CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS AS WELL AS THERE CVT TRANSMISSIONS!!

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON TWICE WITHIN 3 MONTHS OF USING THIS CAR. AND IT WAS ONE OF THE SEVERE TYPES OF ILLNESS THE CAR HAS, IF NOT FIXED I COULD'VE BEEN STUCK ON A REMOTE AREA WITH NO PHONE RECEPTION, WHICH WHERE I LIVE BY THE WAY. THE CAR HAD A SLOW ACCELERATION, WHEN I STOPPED ON A STOP LIGHT/SIGN. HAD THAT FIXED ON DECEMBER RIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS WEEK, BUT ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN AFTER 2 WEEKS OF DRIVING IT, CAR WON'T SHIFT GEARS AGAIN, SLOW ACCELERATION, PROBABLY HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH ITS TRANSMISSION ETC.

I HAVE A 2016 NISSAN ALTIMA WITH 85,000 MILES THAT IS CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING SOME ISSUES. I'VE FOUND MULTIPLE PEOPLE ONLINE THAT ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE AT TIMES WHEN PUSHING DOWN THE ACCELERATOR WILL NOT RESPOND THEN SUDDENLY TAKE OFF LIKE IT'S IN 3RD GEAR. THIS HAS CAUSED ME TOO GET STUCK IN INTERSECTIONS WITH NO POWER AND NEARLY CAUSING ACCIDENTS. NISSAN IS SAYING THERE IS NO ISSUE. HOW CAN THIS NOT BE A SAFETY RECALL?

ACCELERATING ONTO THE HIGHWAY ON YESTERDAY MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CANE ON AS WELL AND MY TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT WHICH CAUSED MY CAR TO LOSE POWER. I WAS ABLE TO GET RIGHT BACK OFF THE FREEWAY AND TURN INTO A NEIGHBORHOOD. WHEN I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON IT STARTED WITH THE SAME LIGHTS ON. I HAD MY TRANSMISSION REBUILT AT 73,000 MILES WITH A 12,000 MILE WARRANTY ALREADY BUT I DON'T THINK THAT MY TRANSMISSION IS THE ISSUE THIS TIME. I HAD TO GET MY CAR TOWED TO THE NISSAN OF GRAPEVINE DEALERSHIP AGAIN BECAUSE I REFUSE TO DRIVE THE CAR WITH MY 3 MONTH OLD AND SIXTEEN YEAR OLD IN THE CAR
Mileage: 81,200
STARTED VEHICLE THIS MORNING AND PUT IN REVERSE AND PRESSED THE PEDAL TO BACK OUT AND HAD A DELAYED REACTION AND THE RPM'S JUST INCREASED. THE CAR DID NOT MOVE FOR APPROXIMATELY FOUR TO FIVE SECONDS AND FINALLY BACKED OUT. PLACED THE CAR IN DRIVE AND DROVE TOWARD A STOP SIGN APPROXIMATELY 100 YARDS AWAY AND IT SEEMED LIKE IT WAS LOSING POWER AS I TRIED TO ACCELERATE AND AGAIN THE RPM'S INCREASED BUT SEEMED LIKE IT WOULD NOT MOVE. DROVE VEHICLE BACK HOME AND WITH SAME ISSUES AND PARKED FOR ABOUT THIRTY MINUTES. TRIED TO DUPLICATE BUT DROVE JUST FINE. THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE WHILE AT A RED LIGHT ABOUT A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO. TRIED ACCELERATING AND WOULD BARELY ACCELERATE LIKE IT HAD NO POWER. PLACED IN PARK, CUT THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON AND AFTER A FEW MINUTES, I HIT THE ACCELERATOR AND IT DARTED OFF. LUCKILY, THERE HAS BEEN NO ACCIDENTS BUT HAVE CONCERNS IF THIS HAPPENS WHILE ON A HIGHWAY. THIS ALTIMA ON HAS OVER 53K MILES AND HAVE NO IDEA WHY THIS IS HAPPENING BECAUSE I AM NOT A MECHANIC BUT HAVE READ SEVERAL STATEMENTS ON THE INTERNET FROM OTHERS WITH THE SAME ISSUE. NOT SURE WHY NISSAN HAS NOT PLACED A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE BUT IS VERY UNSAFE.

ADDITION TO THE PPL GIVING ME THE READING FOR MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT...TRANSMISSION FLUID (SOMETHING WITH MY TRANSMISSION) I'VE BEEN HAVING A POPPING NOISE COMING FROM MY PASSENGER TIRE WHEN I HIT BUMPS..I'VE TOOK IT BACK TO CARMAXX TO GET IT SERVICE AND IT STILL MAKES THE SAME NOISE AND WHEN I START UP MY CAR FOR THE FIRST TIME IT MAKES A LOUD NOISE I GUESS UNTIL THE CAR WARMS UP AND IT'S REAL LOUD IN THE WINTER AND I ALSO COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS TO THE DEALER..THEY CLAIM THEY FIXED AND IT STILL MAKES THE SAME NOISE..I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS WITH EITHER..IT'S A 2016 NISSAN ALTIMA..

I WAS STOPPED AT A CORNER, AND WHEN I TOOK MY FOOT OFF OF THE BRAKES TO ACCELERATE IT DIED. I ROLLDED OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, STOPPED AGAIN AND IT STARTED?

2016 NISSAN ALTIMA. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO DEFECTIVE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG AND DEFECTIVE KEYLESS PUSH BUTTON. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED OTHER FAILURES INCLUDED REAR DOORS OPENING INDEPENDENTLY, ENGINE WAS LOUD, TIRE PRESSURE SENSORS WERE INOPERABLE, AND THE EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION LIGHTS WERE CONSTANTLY LIT. THE CONSUMER STATED ALL THE REPAIRS WERE TO BE REPAIRED UNDER RECALL. THE CONSUMER WAS UNSURE THAT THE DEALER ACTUALLY COMPLETED THE RECALLS AS IT ONLY TOOK AN HOUR TO BE COMPLETED. *JS
I JUST PURCHASED A 2016 NISSAN ALTIMA FROM HERTZ CAR SALES IN APRIL 2019. I HAVE ALREADY HAD TO CHANGE THE BATTERY, AND NOW I HAVE A NEW HEADACHE. ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 9, 2019 OF LAST WEEK WHEN I STOPPED AT A CROSSWALK, ON A CITY STREET, TO ALLOW A PEDESTRIAN TO CROSS, WITHOUT ANY FOREWARNING THE CAR COMPLETELY TURNED OFF. I HAD TO RESTART IT AND IT DID SO WITH NO PROBLEM, BUT THEN I NOTICED THAT THE CAR FELT VERY HESITANT TO DRIVE. AS I WAS DRIVING IT FELT AS THOUGH THE CAR WAS GOING TO STOP AT ANY MINUTE. ESPECIALLY WHEN I WOULD BRAKE, SLOW DOWN, OR COMPLETELY STOP.I HAD TO RESTART THE CAR A FEW TIMES DURING MY COMMUTE. ALSO, THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR A FEW DAYS NOW SO I HAD 3 DIFFERENT MECHANICS LOOK AT MY CAR. THE FIRST ONE SAID THAT IT MAY BE THE CAMSHAFT SENSOR, BUT HE WAS NOT 100% CERTAIN. THE SECOND SHOP I WENT TO SAID IT WAS THE VTC SOLENOID,AND THE THIRD PLACE THAT I CHECKED GAVE ME AN ACTUAL ERROR # OF P0011 INTAKE VALVE TIMING, VALVE CONTROL.

WHEN I AM STOPPED (AT A STOP SIGN, TRAFFIC LIGHT, ETC.) THE CAR HESITATES TO ACCELERATE WHEN I PRESS THE GAS. IT SOMETIMES TAKES 5 TO 7 SECONDS BEFORE THE CAR WILL BEGIN TO ACCELERATE. THIS HAPPENS RANDOMLY, AND THERE IS NO WARNING. THERE HAVE BEEN INSTANCES WHEN THE RPMS REV UP EXTREMELY HIGH AND THE CAR FEELS LIKE IT IS STRUGGLING TO MAINTAIN SPEED. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP, AND SINCE THEY CAN'T REPRODUCE THE ISSUE, AND NOTHING SHOWS UP WHEN THEY RUN DIAGNOSTICS, THEY HAVE STATED THAT THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. I PURCHASED MY CAR BRAND NEW AND CURRENTLY IT HAS 46,000 MILES, AND I CURRENTLY DON'T FEEL SAFE WHEN DRIVING IT. THIS HAS BEEN RANDOMLY HAPPENING FOR MONTHS.
Mileage: 44,000
I WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY HAD LOSS OF POWER AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. NO WARNINGS OR CODES APPEARED AND AFTER PULLING OVER FOR 2 MINUTES THE VEHICLE ALLOWED ACCELERATION AGAIN. THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES, AND THE NISSAN CAR DEALERSHIP COULD RESOLVE THE ISSUE
Mileage: 25,000
CAR HESITATES AND RPMS REVS UP ACTS LIKE IT'S GOING TO STALL AND DIE WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY 55-80MPH. ENGINE MAKES ACCELERATION NOISES FOR NO REASON WHILE DRIVING. WHEN YOU SIT FOR 10 MIN AND THEN GO TO DRIVE CAR WILL NOT MOVE AT TIMES. WHEN YOU STOP AT STOP SIGNS OR STOP LIGHTS THEN TRY TO DRIVE AGAIN YOUR FOOT WILL BE ALL THE WAY DOWN ON GAS PEDAL CAR ROLLS FORWARD AT MAYBE 5MPH ALMOST GOT HIT MULTIPLE TIMES. LIGHT TURNS RED I'M IN MIDDLE OF STREET AND CAR WONT DRIVE. THIS HAS GONE ON MAINLY IN WARMER WEATHER AFTER RUNNING AC AND SITTING IN CAR THEN TRYING TO DRIVE. WHEN GET OUT OF CAR NOTICE A SLIGHT BURNING SMELL AND ANTIFREEZE SMELL. GOOD 50 TIMES IN PAST YEAR I'VE HAD THIS CAR. NO ONE CAN FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR TO FIX ISSUE. AT STOP LIGHTS HAVE TO TURN CAR OFF AND TURN BACK ON TO GET CAR TO MOVE WHEN IT STARTS ACTING UP OUT OF FEAR SOMEONE WILL END UP HITTING ME BECAUSE MY CAR HESITATES TO GO. DRIVES FINE AS LONG AS I GO FROM POINT A TO B. IF I START CAR LET AC RUN TO COOL DOWN THEN SIT IN CAR WHILE RUNNING LIKE IN DRIVE THRU FOR 10 MIN THEN CONTINUE TO DRIVE WILL HAVE THESE ISSUES. HAVENT TRIED WITH RUNNING HEAT INSTEAD OF AC.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 NISSAN ALTIMA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO DECELERATE WHILE MAXIMUM PRESSURE WAS APPLIED TO THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. THE VEHICLE EVENTUALLY BEGAN TO DRIVE NORMALLY; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED FIFTEEN MINUTES LATER. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO BENTON NISSAN OF HOOVER (1640 MONTGOMERY HWY, HOOVER, AL, (205) 938-6103), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND THE CONTACT WAS ONLY PROVIDED WARRANTY INFORMATION. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000.

WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE ON LOCAL HIGHWAYS DURING AFTERNOON RUSH HOURS. MY VEHICLE STARTS TO STRAIN TO DRIVE. IT SEEMS LIKE THE TRANSMISSION HAS TROUBLE WITH ACCELERATION. IF AT A COMPLETE STOP IT STRAINS TO GO FORWARD. I HAVE TO PULL OVER TURN VEHICLE OFF SET FOR ABOUT 20 MINS. AND IT DRIVES OKAY. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE THIS WEEK.. ON 6-25-19 PULLED INTO A SERVICE STATION TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT. TECHNICIAN INFORMED ME THAT WITH MY MAKE AND MODEL THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION AND THIS IS A SIGNED THAT THE TRANSMISSION IS GETTING READY TO GO OUT. I ASKED IF HE COULD CHECK THE FLUID LEVEL AND HE EXPLAINED THAT THERE ISN'T A DIP STICK TO CHECK THE TRANSMISSION FLUID.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 NISSAN ALTIMA. WHILE DRIVING, THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THE DRIVER'S SEAT MOVED FORWARD INDEPENDENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MOSSY NISSAN EL CAJON (LOCATED AT 1170 W MAIN ST, EL CAJON, CA 92020, (619) 588-0500) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DRIVER'S SEAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. IN ADDITION, WHILE DRIVING, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT POWERED OFF THE ENGINE WHILE IN TRAFFIC. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AFTER TEN MINUTES AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE NORMALLY. THE FAILURE RECURRED THREE TIMES AND WAS TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE, BUT COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 34469085. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,000.

WHILE I WAS DIVING ON THE 495 HIGHWAY IN VIRGINIA, WHEN THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR WAS STILL RUNNING, BUT SLOW DOWN AND I HAD TO PUSH HARDER ON THE GAS TO MOVE OVER ONTO THE SHOULDER AND CUT THE CAR FOR ABOUT 15-30 MINUTES BEFORE IT START AGAIN. THIS IS A 2016 CAR I SHOULD NOT BE EXPERIENCE ANY ENGINE PROBLEMS WITH THIS CAR NOR SHOULD I HAVE TO PAID FOR THIS CAR SINCE THE CAR WARRANT EXPIRED AT THE RIGHT TIME.

WHILE DRIVING, THE CAR WOULD DECREASE IN SPEED AND ACTED IF IT WANTED TO STALL.I TOOK THE CAR IN FOR AN APPOINTMENT AT THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD IT WAS READING A CODE WITH THE TRANSMISSION AND AS SCHEDULED TO COME IN 3 DAYS L AS LATER WHEN THE PART WAS IN. AFTER BEING AT THE DEALERSHIP ALMOST HALF A DAY, THEY TELL ME THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REBUILT. THE DEALERSHIP ATTEMPTED TO GET ME TO DRIVE IT HOME (OVER AN HOUR AWAY( AND BRING IT BACK ANOTHER DAY. I WAS NOT GOING TO ACCEPT THIS AND REQUESTED A CAR TO DRIVE, WHICH THEY DID DO SO. HOWEVER, WHEN ENTERPRISE RENTAL PICKED ME UP, THEY IMMEDIATELY KNEW IT WAS TRANSMISSION ISSUES AND PROCEEDED TO TELL ME THAT THEY ARE ONLY GOOD FOR 2 YEARS.

NOV 2017, ALTIMA HAD 18,173 MILES, NOT ONE YEAR OLD AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVE IT. TOOK IT TO DEALER IN SAN DIEGO, DIAGNOSIS WAS A P0101 CODE (MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR/ORANGE PCV VALVE). THEN AT 20,598 MILES, I SAW MY LIFE FLASH BEFORE MY EYES. I WAS DRIVING ON INTERSTATE 5 IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA DOING 72 MPH WITH A TRUCK BEHIND ME AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE ALTIMA WILL NOT ACCELERATE! MEANWHILE THE RPM'S ARE JUMPING UP AND DOWN. AGAIN THE DEALER SAID IT WAS CODE P0101, REPLACED THE PCV VALVE AGAIN. NEXT AT 20,833 MILES THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME BACK ON. DEALER INFORMED ME THERE WAS CARBON BUILD UP IN THE THROTTLE BODY AND FOUND CODE P0101 AS WELL. AT THAT POINT THE DEALER REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY WITH A NEW ONE. AT 24,095, THE DEALER STATED BOTH SHOCKS WERE LEAKING. BOTH SHOCKS WERE REMOVED AND REPLACED. AT 25,076 MILES THE BACK DRIVER DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE. THE DEALER REPLACED THE ACUATOR. AT THE SAME ENCOUNTER, THE BACK DRIVER WINDOW DID NOT ROLL DOWN MORE THAN HALF WAY. FOUND VAPOR BARRIER AND CABLE DAMAGED. ALSO, DURING THIS TIME POOR ACCELERATION WAS NOTICED AND THEY REPLACED THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH AND DELETED STOP LAMP RELAY. FINALLY ON THIS VISIT NEW HEAT SHIELDS AS WELL. THIS CAR HAS SPENT 25 DAYS OF ITS LIFE AT A NISSAN DEALER. THIS CAR IS SCARY AND DEFECTIVE.

FIRST TIME, CAR STARTED AT 50,000 MILES. DROVE THE CAR FOR 4200 MILES, REGULAR MAINTENANCE, HAD OCCASIONAL DRAG IN ACCELERATION AND RPM NEEDLE FLUCTUATION, CALLED IN AND SAID IT WAS PRETTY NORMAL DUE TO THE HEAT. RANDOMLY CAR JUTTERS AND LOSES ACCELERATION, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AT 54,000 MILES ON IN TOWN HIGHWAY ROAD. CAR WILL NO LONGER WILL ACCELERATE BEFORE 5-6 RPMS CONSISTENTLY FOR ABOUT 5 SECONDS THEN WILL KICK AND ACCELERATE. CODE PULLED READ TRNSMISSION FLUID SYSTEM EAS THE PROBLEM. TOOK CAR IN NEXT DAY AFTER FIGHTING WITH POCATELLO NISSAN KIA BECAUSE THEY REFUSED TO LOOK AT IT FOR A WEEK. HAD TO HAVE ENTIRE TRANSMISSION REPLACED. DROVE THE CAR FOR ANOTHER 1500 MILES AND SAME THING BUT I CAUGHT THE DRAG AND NEEDLE FLUCTUATION SOON ENOUGH THAT THE CAR DIDN'T GET NEARLY AS BAD ON THE REGULAR IN TOWN ROADS. TOOK IT IN A SECOND TIME AND TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED AGAIN. GOING ON 56600 MILES AND NOTICING A DRAG AND FLUCTUATION AGAIN ON IN TOWN ROADS BUT NISSAN WONT LOOK AT IT TIL THE ISSUE CAN BE REPLICATED AGAIN.

AT RANDOM TIMES WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE WILL SHUT OFF CAUSING SUDDEN DECREASE IN SPEED, THEN RESTART ON IT'S OWN WITHIN 10-15 SECONDS. I WAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT WHEN I TOOK MY FOOT OFF OF THE BRAKE AND PRESSED THE ACCELERATOR MY CAR STALLED OUT. IT TOOK 30 SECONDS OF PRESSING ON THE GAS FOR IT TO BEGIN TO MOVE. *TT *TR
Mileage: 44,000
WHILE ALREADY IN MOTION THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED EXTREMELY SLOWLY ONCE AGAIN AS I HAVE REPORTED ON THIS WEBSITE BEFORE, BUT THIS TIME IT WAS MORE DANGEROUS BECAUSE AS I WAS MERGING ONTO THE FREEWAY, I WAS PRESSING ON THE ACCELERATOR AND WHEN THE RPM GOT TO 2000, IT STOPPED AND THE VEHICLE WAS ACCELERATING EXTREMELY SLOW. THERE WAS A 18 WHEEL TRUCK APPROACHING ME FAST FROM BEHIND, BUT I COULD NOT GET ANY SPEED. LUCKILY HE SWERVED ON TO THE NEXT LANE AND PASSED ME. THE RPM METER STOPPED AT 2000 AND IT TOOK 22 SECONDS TO GET FROM 60 MPH TO 75MPH AS THE VIDEO SHOWS. IT HAPPENED SEVERAL MORE TIMES DURING THIS DRIVE AND I WAS ABLE TO RECORD EACH INSTANCE PANNING FROM THE GAUGE DISPLAY TO THE ACCELERATOR SHOWING I AM PRESSING IT ALL THE WAY DOWN AND THE VEHICLE DOESN'T RESPOND. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO NISSAN AND WHEN I SHOWED THE VIDEO TO THE SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE, HE IMMEDIATELY TRIED TO BLAME THE ISSUE ON MY FLOOR MATS. HE SAID THAT IT APPEARS THE FLOOR MATS WERE PREVENTING THE ACCELERATOR FROM GOING DOWN THUS CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO NOT GAIN SPEED. HOWEVER I EXPLAINED TO HIM THAT THAT IS NOT THE CASE AS THE FLOOR MAT WAS NOT TOUCHING THE ACCELERATOR AT ALL. YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE MY FOOT PRESSING IT DOWN ALL THE WAY WITHOUT ANY INTERFERENCE FROM THE MAT. IN ADDITION, IF THE FLOOR MAT WAS PREVENTING THE ACCELERATOR FROM BEING PUSHED ALL THE WAY DOWN AS HE CLAIMS, HOW IS IT POSSIBLE FOR THE VEHICLE TO CONTINUE TO GAIN SPEED, ALL BE IT EXTREMELY SLOW? THAT RIGHT THERE PROVES HIS THEORY WRONG BECAUSE IF THE ACCELERATOR WAS INDEED STOPPED BY THE MAT, THEN THE MPH AS WELL AS THE RPM WOULD MAINTAIN AT THE SAME RATE. I ALSO REMINDED HIM THAT THIS HAPPENED ON A LOCAL STREET WHEN I WAS ONLY GOING 35 MPH AND THE ACCELERATOR WOULD HAVE BEEN NO WHERE NEAR THE FLOOR BOARD. NISSAN ADVISED ME THEY WERE ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE ISSUE AND ARE CONTACTING NISSAN TECH SUPPORT FOR DIRECTION

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 NISSAN ALTIMA. WHILE DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, THE VEHICLE HESITATED TO ACCELERATE AND FAILED TO DRIVE SMOOTHLY ON OCCASION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO OLYMPIA NISSAN (2220 CARRIAGE ST SW, OLYMPIA, WA 98502), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE ENGINE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE RESTARTED AND ACCELERATED INDEPENDENTLY. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. ALSO, WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN, THE RPMS ACCELERATED AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO OPERATE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE SPEED INCREASED TO 40 MPH. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 13,000.

I HAVE BEEN HAVING CHRONIC ISSUES WITH ENGINE ON MY 2016 NISSAN ALTIMA. INITIALLY (11/2016), THE CAR WOULD "JUMP/SKIP" WHEN I WOULD TRY TO ACCELERATOR AND EVEN FEELING LIKE IT WAS GOING TO CUT OFF ON ME. WHEN I CALLED I WAS INFORMED IT WAS DUE TO DEFECT AND IT WAS ON RECALL. THE ISSUES APPEARED TO RESOLVE UNTIL 11/2017 I STARTED EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE BUT WORSE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO ACCELERATE WHILE I WAS DRIVING TO WORK AND BACK HOME. THIS OCCURRED ON FLORIDA TURNKPIKE AND LOCAL HIGHWAYS. CARS WERE HOOKING AT ME BECAUSE I WAS NOT ABLE TO PROCEED WHEN LIGHT TURNED GREEN, EVEN THOUGH I WAS FLOORING THE CAR PEDAL. WHEN I TOOK THE CAR TO THE SHOP, I WAS INFORMED IT WAS MY TRANSMISSION AND THEY HAD TO REBUILD IT. AFTERWARDS, I CONTINUE TO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR CUTTING OFF ON ME AND ACCELERATION ISSUES. I BROUGHT IT BACK, AND I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE CRANK SENSOR. THEY REPLACED IT BUT KNOW THE ENGINE CONTINUE TO SOUND LIKE IT IS WORKING OVERTIME TO PERFORM AND MAKE A CONSTANT HIGH PITCH SOUND. I AM BRING IT BACK TO THEM A 3RD TIME TO INVESTIGATE.

MY TRANSMISSION STOPPED WORKING WHILE I WAS DRIVING FIRST IN THE CITY AND IT CONTINUED TO WHEN I WENT ON THE HIGHWAY TO THE POINT I HAD NO POWER AND THE WHEN I PRESSED THE GAS NOTHING WOULD HAPPEN. I HAD TO HAVE THE COMPUTER IN THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED AND THE CAR STILL IDLES AS IF IT WILL CUT OFF AT ANY MOMENT. THAT WAS AT 40K AND I JUST HAD TO REPLACE THE O2 SENSOR AT 60K
