MY VEHICLE WAS TAKEN IN FOR ORIGINAL RECALL REPAIR IN NOVEMBER 2018 TO CHARLIE CLARK NISSAN. UPON PICKUP OF VEHICLE, I ALERTED SERVICE MAN OF STRONG SMELL OF GAS AND HE STATED IT HAD BEEN REPAIRED BUT MY FILTERS SIMPLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I HAD ALL MY FILTERS REPLACED THREE TIMES AND ATTEMPTED TO TAKE MY VEHICLE TO ALTERNATE NISSAN DEALERSHIPS DUE TO PERSISTENT SMELL OF GAS BUT WAS TOLD SINCE THEY'RE ARE NO OPEN CAMPAIGNS WITH MY VIN. I TOOK MY VEHICLE BACK TO ORIGINAL DEALERSHIP AND HAVE NOW BEEN TOLD IT IS INDEED LEAKING FUEL AS A DIRECT RESULT OF THE RECALL BUT THEY ARE UNABLE TO COVER THE COSTS OF THE REPAIR DUE TO IT ALREADY BEEN PREVIOUSLY WORKED ON. VEHICLE LEAKS FUEL PROFUSELY, OMITS BLACK FUMES THROUGH EXHAUST AND HAS ISSUES ACCELERATING. AVERAGE FUEL USAGE IS 60 MILES PERFULL TANK OF GAS.

FUEL PRESSUE SENSOR FAILED AFTER TORQUED DOWN RECALL WAS COMPLETED BY DEALER. BOUGHT MY 2011 JUKE NEW FROM DEALER. CAR HAS BEEN PAID OFF SINCE 2016. I NEVER RECEIVED ANY RECALL INFORMATION REGARDING THE FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR UNTIL 2018. I WAS NOT EXPERIENCING ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE VEHICLE. APON RECIEVING THE RECALL NOTICE IN MAY 2018, I TOOK MY VEHICLE IN TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP TO ADDRESS RECALL. I PICKED UP MY JUKE AND BROUGHT IT HOME. SINCE I HAVE ANOTHER VEHICLE, THIS ONE WAS NOT MY DAILY DRIVER. I WENT OUT ONCE EVERY FEW DAYS TO CRANK IT UP. I DID NOTICE THAT THERE WAS A FUEL SMELL WHEN I CRANKED THE CAR. THOUGHT MAYBE SINCE THEY TORQUED THE FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR FOR THE RECALL, MAYBE SOMEHOW FUEL HAD GOTTEN IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND WOULD SIMPLY BURN OFF. THIS CONTINUED EVERY TIME I STARTED THE CAR. I DECIDED TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE DEALER. HAD TO TOW VEHICLE 30+ MILES BECAUSE OF POSSIBLE FIRE OR EXPLOSION FROM ANY IGNITION SOURCE THAT COULD OCCUR. I WAS CONCERNED WHEN THE FUEL SMELL DID NOT GO AWAY. SERVICE MANAGER CALLED AND SAID IT WAS THE FUEL PRESSURE SENDER AND THAT IT WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. I ASK FOR PART NUMBER WHICH CAME BACK TO FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR. HE ADVISED ME THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY OVER $750 DOLLARS FOR PARTS AND LABOR. SO I AUTHORIZED HIM TO ORDER THE PART BECAUSE THEY DONT KEEP RECALL PARTS ON HAND. I NEEDED TO CONTACT NISSAN. MY QUESTION IS IF THERE IS OR HAS BEEN 3 SEPARATE RECALLS FOR THIS PART AND MY VEHICLE WAS FINE BEFORE THE 2018 RECALL REPAIR. WHY IS THE DEALER REQUIRING ME TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR? IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT RECALLS DONT HAVE AN EXPIRATION DATE. IF A PART FAILS THAT IS A KNOWN RECALLED PART THROUGHOUT NISSAN VEHICLES, THEN WHY ISN'T IT BEING REPLACED FOR FREE DUE TO THE HAZARDOUS NATURE OF NOT REPLACING IT.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PAT PECK NISSAN-GULFPORT (9480 US 49, GULFPORT, MS 39503, 228-864-6411) WHERE THE RECALL REPAIR WAS PERFORMED; HOWEVER, THE SERVICE ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE NISSAN DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER AND THE FAILURE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 156,000.

PO11C AND PO 171.THEY REPLACED SOMETHING BUT ONLY GAVE A RECEIPT FOR A DIAGNOSIS. THEN I RECEIVED A MONTH LATER, A NOTICE ABOUT AN EVAPORATIVE EMISSON VAPOR VENT TUBE. I BELIEVE I SHOULD RECEIVE THE MONEY RETURNED FOR THE DIAGNOSIS BECAUSE IT WAS THE ERROR OF THE DEALERSHIP AND I NEED A COPY OF THE WORK PERFORMED FOR MY RECORDS; WHICH WAS NOT PROVIDED EXCEPT WHAT WAS MENTIONED ABOVE.

VEHICLE EXPERIENCED ODOR OF RAW GASOLINE IN VENTILATION SYSTEM TO PASSENGER COMPARTMENT WHILE VEHICLE WAS ON, PARTICULARLY AFTER STARTUP. THIS ODOR COULD ALSO BE SMELLED ON THE EXTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DEALER AND IT WAS DETERMINED THAT A FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR LEAK WAS THE PROBLEM AND PERFORMED REPAIR. AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, A WEB SEARCH SHOWED THAT THIS SAME PROBLEM HAD A SAFETY RECALL ON THIS SAME VEHICLE (12V-069), BUT THIS VEHICLE JUST "OUT OF THE VIN RANGE" FOR THE RECALL. THE SAFETY RECALL SHOULD BE EXTENDED AND OWNERS ADVISED OF THIS SAFETY ISSUE THAT MAY OCCUR, POTENTIALLY CAUSING A FIRE.

THERE'S BEEN A FUEL LEAK FROM THE FUEL RAIL SENSOR AFTER THE RECALL WAS PERFORMED. IT IS CONCERNING THAT NISSAN WOULD NOT COVER THE COST OF THIS LEAK EVEN THOUGH THEY SAY THEY PERFORMED THE RECALL AND REPAIR THE PROBLEM THEY DID NOT REPLACE THE FUEL SENSOR GASKET WHEN DOING SO WHICH I BELIEVE CAUSED THE CURRENT LEAK. THIS SEEMS TO BE A REOCCURRING PROBLEM AND FEEL NISSAN SHOULD TAKE CARE OF SUCH A RISKY FUEL PROBLEM JUST ABOVE THE STARTER THAT COULD CAUSE A SPARK.

NISSAN OFFERED TO PAY FOR THE PART WHICH COST 1,908.29. BUT I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE SHIPPING COST WHICH COST 120.00DOLLARS AND I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE LABOR COST WHICH IS 480.00 DOLLARS I AM FRUSTRATED AND ANGRY, KNOW ONE SEEMS TO CARE THAT I COULD OF GOT KILLED OR SERIOUSLY INJURED IN THIS CAR. I NOTICED IN MY RESEARCH THAT THE ROGUE IS BEING CALLED BACK FOR POWER STIRRING PROBLEMS, WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? AS FAR AS THE POWER STIRRING REPAIR MY WARRANTY RAN OUT, I FEEL THIS WAS A DEFECT IN THE POWER STIRRING, BUT I AM EXPECTED TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS. I DO HAVE A CASE # IT IS 21635903 AND I SPOKE WITH A MAN NAMED JIM HIS # IS 615-725-7254. TASCA OF DARTMOUTH HAVE BEEN WONDERFUL, THEY EVEN TRIED TO GET THE COST TO ME LOWERED BUT IT FELL ON DEAF EARS., THEY ALSO TOLD ME THEY WOULD NOT LET ME DRIVE MY CAR BECAUSE IT WAS TO DANGEROUS FOR ME TO DRIVE, AT LEAST THEY CARED ABOUT MY SAFETY, THANK GOD. EXTEND THE FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR RECALL.... I HAVE A STRONG GASOLINE SMELL IN CABIN. WHILE CAR IS [PARKED OR DRIVING] AND ENGINE IS RUNNING, THE AIR CONDITIONING AND/OR HEAT IS ON A EXTREMELY STRONG GASOLINE SMELL FILLS THE CABIN AND CAN SUFFOCATE YOU AND YOUR PASSENGERS. WORST WHEN AIR IS COMING IN FROM OUTSIDE AND NOT REUSING THE CABINS AIR. MECHANIC COULDN'T FIND ANY LEAKS AND TOLD ME ABOUT A RECALL ON JUKES. MY JUKE IS NOT APART OF THE RECALL AND IS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS AS THE FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR RECALL BECAUSE OF IMPROPER TIGHTENING. THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS ON FORUMS ONLINE WITH PEOPLE NOT BEING ON THE RECALL THAT HAVE THIS PROBLEM.

I PURCHASED A USED 2011 NISSAN JUKE FROM A NISSAN DEALERSHIP. AT FIRST I HAD TROUBLE FILLING UP THE TANK. I BROUGHT IT BACK TO THE DEALER I PURCHASED IT FROM AND THEY FOUND A PLASTIC PIECE FROM A PLASTIC GAS CAN STUCK IN THE TANK. FROM THE MOMENT I PURCHASED THE CAR, WHENEVER I FILL IT WITH GAS, MY CAR, CLOTHES, GARAGE AND FIRST LEVEL OF MY HOME SMELLS LIKE GAS. I LOOKED ON THE INTERNET AND FOUND THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE IN 2012. I BELIEVE THAT WHOMEVER SERVICED THE CAR FOR THE 2012 RECALL DID NOT DO IT PROPERLY. FOR THE PAST WEEK AND A HALF I'VE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH NISSAN CUSTOMER SERVICE WHO EITHER DISCONNECT ME, GIVE ME INCORRECT INFORMATION OR DON'T RETURN MY PHONE CALLS WHEN PROMISED. I WAS TOLD A SUPERVISOR WOULD GET BACK IN TOUCH WITH ME IN FOUR TO EIGHT HOURS. THEY CALLED ME BACK THREE DAYS LATER. I FEEL LIKE MY CAR IS A DEATH TRAP. I'M AFRAID TO PARK IT IN MY GARAGE FOR FEAR THAT WHEN I USE MY ELECTRIC GARAGE DOOR OPENER, THEY'RE WILL BE A SPARK AND MY ENTIRE CONDO WILL EXPLODE. I'M AFRAID TO DRIVE IT FOR FEAR SOMEONE WILL TOSS A LIT CIGARETTE AND THE CAR WILL CATCH FIRE WITH ME IN IT. I'VE HAD MORE MIGRAINES SINCE I'VE PURCHASED THE CAR THAN I'VE HAD IN 30 YEARS. I HAD NOTICED FUEL SMELL INSIDE CABIN FOR SOME TIME. AFTER SOME RESEARCH, I REALIZED THIS WAS RELATED TO A RECALL THAT APPARENTLY HAD ALREADY BEEN DONE TO THE VEHICLE. I DROPPED THE CAR AT LOCAL DEALER AND AFTER SERVICE DEPARTMENT DENIED SMELLING FUEL OR DETECTING ANY LEAKS, MANY PHONE CALLS AND ANOTHER VISIT TO SHOW THEM IT REALLY SMELLED LIKE FUEL INSIDE, IT WAS EVENTUALLY FIXED FREE OF CHARGE EVEN THOUGH WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED. THE INVOICE SHEET STATES FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR WAS LOOSE AND WAS RE-TIGHTENED PER BULLETIN. *JS

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 NISSAN JUKE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ODOR OF FUEL WAS PRESENT INSIDE THE VEHICLE. Sep 11, 2012 Crash

AS I WAS COMING TO A STOP AT THE APPROACHING RED LIGHT, MY CAR COMPLETELY CUT OFF. IT WAS NOT ENOUGH TIME TO TURN ON HAZARDS OR SIGNAL ANY APPROACHING CARS SO THE CAR CAUSING THE CAR BEHIND ME TO HIT INTO THE BACK OF MY BUMPER. THE HIT CAUSED SOMETHING TO FALL OFF THE TOP OF THEIR CAR AND MAKE A SMALL CRACK ONTO MY DRIVER TAIL LIGHT. THE CAR STOPPED BECAUSE IT WAS COMPLETELY OUT OF GAS, EVEN THOUGH THE GAS METER READ THAT THERE WAS MORE THAN A QUARTER TANK OF GAS IN THE CAR. THERE WAS A RECALL ON MY VEHICLE FOR THE FUEL SYSTEM NOT READING CORRECTLY, WHICH I HAD MY CAR TAKEN INTO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP IN JULY, WHERE THEY SPENT 3 HOURS "CORRECTING" THE PROBLEM. HOWEVER, THE PROBLEM WAS NOT FIXED CORRECTLY AS HAVING NO GAS IN THE CAR (EVEN THOUGH THE METER SAID I HAD GAS) CAUSED MY CAR TO STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY STREET, WHICH IN TURN CAUSED MY DAUGHTER AND MYSELF TO BECOME INVOLVED IN A CAR ACCIDENT. *TR

THE SENDING UNIT IN THE FUEL TANK FAILED STRANDING MY 19 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER IN TRAFFIC DURING A STORM WITH VERY POOR VISIBILITY. THIS COULD HAVE RESULTED IN A MULTI-VEHICLE WRECK WITH FATALITIES.
