When I push on break it doesn’t engage to Release car from park.
My ABS system seems to trigger a warning when using the brakes and the car has a loss of power when accelerating this is especially dangerous on roads merging with traffic. I will restart the car the next day and the ABS light turns off and works fine. This seems to happen intermittently and is a safety concern for my family in the car.
Vehicle gets stuck in park. The gear will not shift into drive, reverse, or neutral. Will not move from park even though the car is on. Brake lights deploy when brake pedal is pushed but car will not move from park position.
After changing rear break pads. I started having issues with the ABS. The car goes into anti skid mode with abs decelerating the car. On highway the car vibrates while applying breaks. Upon taking back to the same dealership. The service team said it has nothing to do with the break changes and upon checking C1142 code came up. The pressure switch sensor issue. The service team flushed the break fluid a few times and asked me to use to vehicle and report for any such issues. I am reaching out the NHTSA to check if anyone else has report a faulty pressure switch. This was little scary a we had recently went on a long drive with the kids and the driving was bit rough and tough

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 NISSAN PATHFINDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH DOWNHILL WHEN THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO ROLL DOWNHILL INCREASING IN SPEED. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO PRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL HOWEVER IT FAILED TO STOP. THE VEHICLE ROLLED OVER A NEARBY HILL AND CRASHED INTO A TREE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED INJURIES TO THEIR BACK, NECK, CHEST, AND LEGS. THE PASSENGER RECEIVED INJURIES TO THEIR NECK AND LEGS. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NEEDED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER (NISSAN OF QUEENS 93-25 ROCKAWAY BLVD, OZONE PARK, NY 11417; (718) 835-8300) AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO IDENTIFY THE CAUSE OF FAILURE. THEN ABOUT 2 MONTHS AFTER, WHILE STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN THEY ATTEMPTED TO ACCELERATE BUT THE ENGINE BEGAN TO REV UP WITHOUT ACCELERATING. THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO AGGRESSIVELY SHAKE AND ALL THE EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR LIGHTS BEGAN TO ILLUMINATE. THE CONTACT HAD TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE AND HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALER MENTIONED ABOVE WHERE THEY WERE UNABLE TO IDENTIFY THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE HAD OCCURRED AGAIN AND DURING THE MOST RECENT FAILURE THE CONTACT HAD TO PRESS THE EMERGENCY BRAKES AT THE SAME TIME OF THE BRAKE PEDAL TO TURN OFF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER MENTIONED ABOVE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOW INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 21V020000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING) HOWEVER THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED UNDER THE RECALL AS OF YET. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF ALL THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 37,000.

WHEN BRAKING, I HAVE TO PUSH THE BRAKE PEDAL TO THE FLOOR IN ORDER TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP AND TO KEEP THE VEHICLE FROM ROLLING AT STOP LIGHTS. EVEN WHEN THE PEDAL DOES NOT GO ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR, THE BRAKES ARE "SOFT". MANY TIMES, THE BRAKES DO NOT SEEM TO START WORKING UNTIL THE PEDAL IS PRESSED DOWN ABOUT 3/4 OF THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. SPEED DOES NOT SEEM TO BE A FACTOR, THE BRAKES JUST DON'T WORK. UPON RELEASING THE BRAKE PEDAL, THERE IS A HIGH-PITCHED SQUEAL THAT CAN ONLY BE HEARD INSIDE THE VEHICLE. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO NISSAN 4 TIMES FOR THIS ISSUE WITH NO PERMANENT RESOLUTION. I HAVE NOTICED THAT THERE ARE A SIGNIFICANT NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS REGARDING THIS ISSUE WITH THIS VEHICLE. IT SEEMS THAT NISSAN WILL NOT ADDRESS THIS ISSUE WITHOUT THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT STEPPING IN, BE IT NHTSA OR THE COURTS - MOST OF US CANNOT AFFORD TO GO THE THE LEGAL ROUTE AS WE'RE SPENDING TOO MUCH ON "BAND-AID" REPAIRS AT NISSAN. PLEASE TAKE SOME ACTION ON THIS MATTER, TOO MANY LIVES ARE AT STAKE. WE'LL NEVER HAVE ZERO FATALITIES WHEN A MANUFACTURER IS ALLOWED TO PRODUCE UNSAFE VEHICLES WITHOUT BEING HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS. MY GEAR SHIFT NO LONGER WORKS AND I HAVE BEEN PUTTING A SCREWDRIVER IN TO MANUALLY OVERRIDE IT FOR OVER A YEAR. YESTERDAY, I PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE AND THE BRAKE WOULDN'T ENGAGE. I TOOK MY FOOT OFF AND PUT IT BACK ON THE BRAKE AND AGAIN THE CAR CONTINUED TO ROLL. I PUT IT IN PARK AND RESTARTED AND IT WORKED FINE. I HAVE READ THIS MAY HAVE TO DO WITH A BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH AND THIS IS ALSO RELATED TO THE SHIFTING PROBLEM, BUT NISSAN SAYS THERE IS NO RECALL. I WAS PUTTING UP WITH THE GEAR SHIFT AS I DIDN'T THINK IT WAS A SAFETY RISK BUT I DEFINITELY COULD HAVE HAD AN ACCIDENT BACKING OUT OF THE PARKING SPACE YESTERDAY.

THE BREAK LIGHT SWITCH, ELECTRICAL RELAY IS STICKING AND CAUSED BREAK LIGHTS TO BE ON WHEN CAR IS TURNED OFF AND I AM NOT IN THE CAR. THEN WHEN DRIVING BREAK LIGHTS COME ON AND I AM NOT PRESSING THE BREAKS. ALSO THE CAR WOULD NOT GO WHEN SHOULD AND I HAVE TO HIT THE GAS PADDLE AGAIN TO MAKE IT MOVE. SCARY GETTING ON THE FREEWAY.

IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT EXPRESSED CONCERN THAT THE POWER WINDOWS INDEPENDENTLY ROLLED UP AND DOWN, THE BACK-UP CAMERA DISABLED AND ROTATED IN THE REVERSE POSITION, AND THE KEY FOB SENSOR INTERMITTENTLY FAILED TO PERFORM AS INTENDED. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY POSITION SENSOR, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. BAYTOWN NISSAN (5445 I-10, BAYTOWN, TEXAS 77521, (281) 394-1995) WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED BY THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 33384799. LAST MONTH, I NOTICED THAT WHEN I WAS AT A FULL STOP, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ALWAYS ACCELERATE WHEN I TOUCHED THE GAS PEDAL. I ALSO NOTICED THAT WHEN THIS HAPPENED, MY BRAKE LIGHTS WOULD REMAIN ON AND THE CRUISE CONTROL WOULD NOT WORK. THIS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES OVER THE SPAN OF TWO WEEKS. AFTER CHECKING OUT THE PROBLEM ONLINE, I BECAME AWARE THAT ON MAY 31, 2016, 79,853 2013-2014 PATHFINDERS WERE RECALLED FOR DEFECTIVE BREAK LIGHT SWITCHES (CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V380000). AFTER TAKING MY VEHICLE TO MY DEALER, I WAS TOLD THAT MY ISSUE STEMMED FROM A DEFECTIVE BREAK LIGHT SWITCH AND STOP LAMP RELAY - THE EXACT SAME REASON 79,853 PATHFINDERS WERE RECALLED IN 2016 (PLEASE SEE ATTACHED PDF COPY OF RECEIPT). YET MY VEHICLE WAS NOT PART OF THAT RECALL. WHEN I POINTED THIS OUT TO MY DEALER I WAS TOLD THAT IT MIGHT BE BECAUSE MY VEHICLE CAME OFF A DIFFERENT ASSEMBLY LINE. ALTHOUGH I AM NO EXPERT, THIS MAKES LITTLE SENSE, SINCE THE DEFECTIVE PARTS WOULD BE THE SAME NO MATTER WHERE THE VEHICLES WERE ASSEMBLED. THEREFORE I AM WRITING TO INFORM YOU THAT MORE VEHICLES SHOULD PROBABLY BE INCLUDED IN THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH RECALL; PARTICULARLY SINCE THIS IS A SERIOUS AND POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS ISSUE.

I BROUGHT THIS VEHICLE IN APRIL OF 2017, WITH 41,000 MILES. I DID NOT EVEN HAVE THE VEHICLE A YEAR BEFORE I NOTICED THAT WHEN I AM DRIVING THE VEHICLE IT STARTS TO STALL AT TIMES, IT DOES NOT PICK UP SPEED AT ALL I HAVE TO PUSH THE ACCELERATOR TWO OR THREE TIMES BEFORE IT PICKS UP, AND THIS HAPPENS AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS AND EVEN WHEN I'M ON THE INTERSTATE. I AM REALLY FEARING FOR MY LIFE, BECAUSE THIS IS THE ONLY VEHICLE I HAVE RIGHT NOW TO DRIVE. WHEN I GO TO PARK THE VEHICLE, AND SHUT IT OFF THE BRAKE LIGHTS STAY ON, AND THEY DON'T GO OFF. I HAVE TO GET BACK IN THE VEHICLE MOVE THE VEHICLE AND THEN SHUT IT OFF. SOMETIMES I HAVE TO DO THIS THREE OR FOUR TIMES BEFORE THE BRAKE LIGHT GOES OFF. I REPORTED THIS ISSUE TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP, WHO HAVE TOLD ME THERE IS NO RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM, AND SINCE IT HAPPENS PERIODICALLY THROUGH THE DAY I HAVE TO KEEP MAKING APPOINTMENTS, SO THEY CAN TRY TO FIND THE PROBLEM. VERY FRUSTRATING.
WE HAVE TAKEN OUR 2013 PATHFINDER IN FOR BRAKE EVALUATION PRIOR TO THE EXPIRATION, AND JUST AFTER MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY RAN OUT. THE BRAKE PEDAL WOULD INTERMITTENTLY STOP AT THE SPECIFIED PEDAL DISTANCE, AND THEN LOSE PRESSURE AND GO TO THE FLOOR. WE HAD THIS EVALUATED BY NISSAN, AND A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP TO WHICH WE WERE TOLD WE NEEDED TO REPLACE THE MASTER CYLINDER BY BOTH. HOWEVER, THE PROBLEM HAS CONTINUED, AND WE HAVE NO BEEN TOLD THIS IS POTENTIALLY A BRAKE BOOSTER ISSUE WHICH NISSAN HAS RECEIVED MANY COMPLAINTS ON YET HAS NOT REMEDIED THE SAFETY ISSUE. SO FAR WE HAVE SPENT OVER $600 WITH REPLACING BRAKES, ROTORS, MASTER CYLINDER, AND LABOR. NOT TO MENTION OVER 5 TRIPS TO GET EVALUATIONS AND REPAIRS.
AT FIRST THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS FADING TO THE FLOOR AT A STOP. REPLACED THE MASTER CYLINDER. CONDITION BETTER BUT PEDAL STILL SPONGY AND THEN, ADDITIONALLY, WHEN DRIVING, AT RANDOM TIMES THE BRAKE PEDAL GOES DOWN 3/4 OF THE WAY BEFORE ANY BRAKE PEDAL PRESSURE IS FELT AND THE VEHICLE IS ABLE TO STOP. THIS IS VERY SCARY AS YOU ARE NOT SURE IF THE VEHICLE IS GOING TO STOP OR NOT. DEALER THEN REPLACED ABS ACTUATOR WITH NO REMEDY TO RANDOM PROBLEM. DEALER ADDITIONALLY REPLACED MASTER CYLINDER AGAIN WITH NO BETTER OUTCOME. DEALER UNABLE TO FIX THIS SERIOUS BRAKE PROBLEM EVEN AFTER CONSULTING AND TROUBLESHOOTING WITH NISSAN ENGINEERS. NOW WE ARE UNABLE TO DRIVE VEHICLE UNTIL NISSAN ENGINEER CAN GET TO DEALER IN 2 WEEKS? TO PERSONALLY TROUBLESHOOT THE BRAKES. VEHICLE ONLY HAS 57,000 MILES ON IT AND NOW IS ON IT'S 3RD MASTER CYLINDER AND 2ND ABS ACTUATOR WITH NO SAFE SOLUTION AS OF YET.

NISSAN PATHFINDER 2013 REVS ENGINE AND JERKS VEHICLE WHILE FIRMLY PRESSING BRAKE (AT A STOP LIGHT). AT FIRST, I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST THE WIND, BUT IT KEPT HAPPENING FOR WEEKS. THEN I NOTICED THE RPMS JUMP WHEN IT HAPPENED. FURTHERMORE, THE VEHICLE WOULD SLOWLY ROLL FORWARD IF STOPPED ON A HILL, REQUIRING PRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL ALL OF THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. JUST YESTERDAY, IT REVVED AND JERKED ABOUT A DOZEN TIMES. THE VEHICLE HAS THE LATEST RECALLS DONE AS OF APRIL/MAY WHEN I TOOK IN IN FOR SERVICE (ROSEN NISSAN) AND THEY VERIFIED THE BRAKE SYSTEM WAS OK. VEHICLE SHOULD NOT BE REVVING AND TRYING TO TURN TIRES WHILE IT IS STOPPED.

THE DEALER REQUIRED THAT THE CONTACT PICK UP THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED FOR THE BRAKE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.

THE GEAR SHIFTER FAILED TO MOVE OUT OF PARK AND THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED. THE CONTACT WAITED FIVE MINUTES AND WAS ABLE TO RESUME DRIVING. THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKES AND BATTERY FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE FAILURE RECURRED. I CALLED THE DEALER SECOND TIME ONE WEEK AFTER THE FIRST TIME. THEY TOLD ME THE SAME ANSWER. I RECEIVED THE SECOND RECALL TODAY 7/30/2016 WITH DIFFERENT PROBLEM. THE RECALL NUMBER NHTSA RECALL 16V-380. I CALLED THE NISSAN DEALER RIGHT AFTER I RECEIVED THE SECOND RECALL. THEY TOLD ME THERE IS NO PART TO FIX THE PROBLEM. I AM REALLY CONCERN AND WORRY ABOUT THESE. THE SECOND RECALL IS REGARDING ABOUT "THE BRAKE STOP LAMP SWITCH MAY HAVE BEEN INSTALLED OUT OF SPECIFICATION". DURING THIS TIME, I ALSO ADVISED THEM OF THE PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT COMING ON WHILE I HAD A PASSENGER IN THE SEAT, STATING THAT THE AIRBAG WAS OFF. MY PASSENGER WAS MY TEENAGE SON, WEIGHING OVER 120 LBS. I ALSO HAD MY HUSBAND IN THE SEAT, OVER 250 LBS, THE LIGHT STILL CAME ON. NISSAN STATED THIS WAS ALL DUE TO A COMPUTER ISSUE, THEY PROVIDED ME WITH A LOANER CAR AS I WAS WITHOUT MY CAR FOR OVER 1 WEEK. AFTER MULTIPLE DIAGNOSTICS AND A TECHNICIAN DRIVING MY CAR 44 MILES, SERVICE "COULD NOT DUPLICATE CONCERN," DID NOT KNOW OF ANY LIKE PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR, HAD PERFORMED THE RECALL, AND SENT ME HOME AT NO CHARGE (?) ON 7/10. AFTERWARDS, I DID NOT DRIVE THE CAR FOR SEVERAL DAYS. ON 7/16, IT SEEMED SAFE, AND MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING WITH ME IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. IT HAPPENED AGAIN--ON A BUSY ROAD! I HAD COMPLAINED TO TROPHY NISSAN, PROGRESSIVE INSURANCE, WELLS FARGO, AND PLATINUM COLLISION ABOUT THE VERY PROBLEM THAT I JUST RECEIVED A RECALL ABOUT. MY COMPLAINTS WERE TREATED AS NOT HAVING MERIT. I HAD SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED THE SEEMINGLY LOSS OF CONTROL ON PAVEMENT THAT WAS SLIGHTLY ROUGH. I ALSO ASSERTED THAT WHEN I APPLIED BRAKES THE PATHFINDER SEEMED TO LUNGE FORWARD. IN THIS ACCIDENT I WAS THE INTERSTATE NEAR DOWNTOWN DALLAS MOVING ONE LANE TO MY LEFT AS TRAFFIC SLOWED AND STOPPED. I WAS AWARE OF THE SLOWING TRAFFIC AND I REACTED ACCORDINGLY. AS TRAFFIC ACTUALLY STOPPED I RECALL NOT BEING OVERLY CONCERNED THAT I WAS A SAFE STOPPING DISTANCE BUT WHEN I APPLIED THE BRAKE MY PATHFINDER SEEMED TO LUNGE FORWARD AND I STRUCK THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. I AGAIN STATED MY CONCERNS AFTER THE FACT AND WAS NOT DEEMED ACCURATE. THE PATHFINDER SPENT 2 MONTHS IN THE SHOP WAITING ON PARTS AND MY INSURANCE PREMIUM DOUBLED. I REFUSED TO PAY THE ELEVATED PREMIUM BECAUSE I SIMPLY DID NOT HAVE IT AND I DID NOT MAKE ANY PAYMENTS ON THE PATHFINDER TO WELLS FARGO DURING THE 2 MONTHS AND THE PATHFINDER HAS SUBSEQUENTLY BEEN REPOSSESSED DO I HAVE ACTIONABLE RECOURSE?? WHAT'S NEXT WITH THIS COMPLAINT?? I TRIED IN VAIN TO GET PROGRESSIVE TO RECOGNIZE A DIMINISHED VALUE CLAIM. THIS COULD HAVE SAVED ME MONEY AND MY CAR AS THE WRECK WAS TRULY NOT MY FAULT BUT IT WAS RULED MY FAULT BECAUSE I WAS THE REAR VEHICLE AND TEXAS HAS NO DIMINISHED VALUE FOR INSURED BEING AT FAULT. TRIED IN VAIN TO GET WELLS FARGO TO HELP ME BUT ALL PARTIES WERE SCARED TO DEATH OF PROGRESSIVE INSURANCE WITH THE EXCEPTION OF PLATINUM COLLISION. AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE NEW IN NOVEMBER 2013, I NOTICED A PROBLEM WITH THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM. AFTER ALMOST GETTING INTO AN ACCIDENT WITH MY WIFE AND 2 CHILDREN IN THE VEHICLE, I WENT TO THE DEALER SERVICE DEPT ON JAN 29 2013 AND EXPLAINED THAT "AT TIMES ABOUT ONCE TO TWICE A MONTH, WHEN I APPLY THE BRAKES, THE VEHICLE WILL NOT STOP PROPERLY AND ONLY SLOWED DOWN. THE SERVICE DEPT. KEPT THE VEHICLE, ONLY TO RETURN IT AND SAID THEY CANNOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THE CONDITION PERSISTED ONLY ONCE TO TWICE A MONTH. I STATED ON A OIL SERVICE THAT THIS ISSUE STILL PERSISTED. ON OCTOBER 21, 2013 I WAS TRAVELING TO WORK ON A MAJOR BRIDGE WHEN ALL TRAFFIC CAME TO A HALT. MY VEHICLE JUST WENT OVER ONE OF THE BRIDGE'S METAL EXPANSION JOINTS WHICH IS A LITTLE BUMP WHEN I NEEDED TO BRAKE. MY APPROX SPEED WAS 30 MPH AT THE TIME I NEEDED TO STOP. AGAIN, WITH THE SLIGHT BUMP IN THE ROAD AND APPLYING THE BRAKES, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP AND I REAR-ENDED THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. AS I SWERVED RIGHT INTO THE MIDDLE LANE TO AVOID A TOTAL DOMINO EFFECT OF REAR-ENDING VEHICLES, I WAS THE T-BONED BY ANOTHER ONCOMING VEHICLE. ALL OF MY SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS DEPLOYED AND DAMAGE WAS TO MY DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT AND ENTIRE PASSENGER SIDE. AN ESTIMATE OF $19,000.00 WAS FIGURED BY THE INSURANCE ADJUSTER. 2 DAYS AFTER THE ACCIDENT ON OCTOBER 23, 2013, NISSAN ISSUED A TOTAL RECALL OF THE 2013 PATHFINDER. THE RECALL STEMS FROM A FLAW IN THE ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM SOFTWARE. THE BULLETIN SAYS THAT "IN THE AFFECTED VEHICLES, DURING LIGHT BRAKING ON ROUGH ROADS, THE ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) BRAKE PRESSURE OUTPUT SOFTWARE MAY LEAD TO AN INCREASE IN STOPPING DISTANCE". AND OF COURSE, THE LONGER IT TAKES TO STOP A VEHICLE, THE GREATER THE LIKELIHOOD OF A CRASH. I PURCHASED MY PATHFINDER IN NOVEMBER 2012. AT ABOUT 1000 MILES INTO OWNERSHIP (LESS THAN A MONTH, MY VEHICLE STARTED SHUDDERING AND ACTING LIKE IT WAS GOING TO STALL. WHEN I TOOK IT IN FOR THE FIRST SERVICE THEY TOLD ME THEY CHECKED FOR IT AND COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING. THEN THEY ASKED ME TO BRING IT BACK IN FOR A COMPUTER UPDATE. IT STILL SHUDDERED. AT THE NEXT SERVICE REPEAT THE SAME SCENARIO AND THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING AGAIN. THE SHUDDER IS PROGRESSIVELY GETTING WORSE AT THIS POINT. WHEN I TOOK IT BACK FOR THE 3RD SERVICE I TOLD THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN AND WAS TOLD THE SAME THING AGAIN. REPEAT ONE MORE TIME IN 9/13 AND THEY TOLD ME I NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION. A NEW TRANSMISSION WAS PUT IN ON 10/7 AND I PICKED IT UP ON 10/8. I LEFT FOR A BEACH 800 MILE TRIP ON 10/9 AND THE SHUDDERING IS STILL HAPPENING AND NOW WHEN I TURN MY WHEELS WHILE SLOWING DOWN (ENTERING MY GARAGE/BRAKING IN A CURVE) THE BRAKES WILL NOT HOLD AND THE VEHICLE WILL SURGE AS IF OUT OF CONTROL. IF I LEAVE IT RUNNING FOR A 10 OR SO MINUTES IN PARK THEN TRY TO PUT IT IN DRIVE THE VEHICLE TRIES TO SURGE AWAY FROM ME AS IF I CANNOT CONTROL IT UNLESS HOLDING THE BRAKES DOWN. LAST WEEK THE VEHICLE JUMPED ACROSS 2 LANES OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC THEN QUIT. I QUICKLY STARTED IT AGAIN AND JUMPED INTO A PARKING LOT. THE DEALER PICKED IT UP AND TOLD ME THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND WOULD DO ANYTHING TO HELP ME. IN FACT THEY SAID IT WAS DRIVER ERROR. THE LAST I HEARD WHEN YOU PRESS THE GAS THE CAR SHOULD GO AND WHEN YOU PRESS THE BRAKES THE CAR SHOULD STOP. IT IS NOW SITTING IN THE DEALER PARKING LOT BECAUSE I AM EXTREMELY AFRAID OF IT. THEY TOLD ME IT WAS JUST FINE AND TO COME AND GET IT. I ALMOST DIED LAST WEEK IN IT AND IT IS NOT SAFE. THE DEALER WILL NOT HELP ME NOR CONSUMER AFFAIRS AT NISSAN ARE HELPING ME. I GOT A RECALL PAPER FOR THE PASSENGER AIR BAG SENSOR, WHEN I TOOK IT IN TO GET IT FIXED THEY TESTED IT AND SAID IT WAS FINE. THE LIGHT STILL COMES ON WITH NO ONE IN THE SEAT. THEN THE FUEL GAUGE WHERE IT TELLS YOU HOW MANY MILES TILL EMPTY SHOWED NOTHING BUT 3 LINES FOR 2 DAYS AND I WAS TOLD THAT THIS IN NOT AN ISSUE FOR THIS YEAR AND NOTHING WAS DONE. NOW THE BRAKES WILL GO TO THE FLOOR MORE WHEN BEING PRESSED AND THE VEHICLE WILL START ROLLING SO YOU HAVE TO PUSH HARDER ON THE BRAKES. JUST YESTERDAY THE MILEAGE THAT IS SUPPOSE TO BE MOVING WHILE DRIVING TO SHOW HOW MANY MPG YOU ARE GETTING WENT ALL THE WAY UP AND STAYED THERE THE WHOLE TIME I DROVE. THERE IS NO WAY I WAS GETTING LIKE 50 MILES PER GALLON GOING 45MPH. I TRY TO GET MY VEHICLE IN TO THE NISSAN DEALER WHERE I GOT IT FROM IN LAS CRUCES, NM AND I KEEP NOT GETTING ANSWERS OR MORE EXCUSED OF WHAT IS NOT WRONG WITH MY VEHICLE. THE GARAGE DOOR CRUMBLED AND HIS OTHER VEHICLE, PUSHING IT INTO THE INNER PORTION OF THE GARAGE HITTING IT SEVERAL TIMES. ALSO PRIOR TO THE ACCIDENT, THE PASSENGER AIR BAG LIGHT ILLUMINATED THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE DRIVE. THE CONSUMER STATED A RECALL WAS ISSUED FOR THE AIR BAG, BUT HE WAS NEVER NOTIFIED.
