TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN QUEST. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE SUBFRAME DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DRIVABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE SUBFRAME NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE LOCAL DEALER WALSER NISSAN WAYZATA (15906 WAYZATA BLVD, WAYZATA, MN 55391, (612) 426-6995) AND MADE THE DEALER AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 2,500.

SEVERE SUB-FRAME ROT ONLY ON PASSENGER SIDE. BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION DURING ROUTINE MAINTENANCE, AND WAS TOLD THIS WAS A VERY COMMON ISSUE. DRIVER SIDE APPEARS FINE. APPEARS A/C DRIP IS SUSPECT, AND THE FRAME JUST ROTS DIRECTLY BELOW IT. ONLINE SEARCH REVEALED NUMEROUS EXACT COMPLAINTS. ALL OTHER COMPONENTS ARE SOLID. HOW IS THIS NOT A SAFETY RECALL? *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN QUEST. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 55 MPH, THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE VIBRATED VIOLENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DETAILS OF THE REPAIR WERE UNKNOWN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 185,000.

MY VEHICLE WAS T-BONED ON THE LEFT DRIVER SIDE. THE FRONT QUARTER PANEL AND REAR QUARTER PANEL WAS DAMAGED. THE LEFT WHEEL AND TIRE ROD WAS REPLACED. THE TIRES WERE REPLACED BUT EVERY SINCE THIS ACCIDENT I HAVE HAD SEVERE ISSUES WITH MY FRONT END STEERING AND RATTLING NOISE. I CANNOT DRIVE OVER BUMPS WITHOUT MY FRONT END FEELING LIKE IT SHIFTS AND I CANNOT TURN CURVES OVER 20 MPH OR ELSE IT BEGINS TO SHAKE EXTREMELY BAD. I HAVE HAD MULTIPLE WORK DONE AND IT KEEPS DOING THE SAME THING. IT IS DEFINITELY NOT SAFE TO CONTINUE DRIVING WITH MY KIDS IN IT BUT ITS ALL I HAVE. I CANNOT EXCEED 30 MPH ON A STRAIGHT WAY WITHOUT THE VEHICLE SHAKING VIGOROUSLY. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN QUEST. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE REAR SLIDING DOOR COULD NOT BE OPENED, CLOSED, OR LATCHED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES FOR THE FAILURE. THE DEALER ADVISED THAT FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT THEREFORE THEY WERE UNABLE TO CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 110,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN QUEST. THE CONTACT NOTICED THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DESIGNED TO STORE A SPARE TIRE WHEN SHE HAD TO REPLACE THE VEHICLE FLAT RUNNING TIRES WITH NORMAL DESIGNED TIRES. SHE HAD TO PLACE THE SPARE TIRE BEHIND THE REAR SEAT WHICH SHE BELIEVED WAS A SAFETY HAZARD. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND THEY ADVISED THAT AS A DESIGN DEFECT, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DESIGNED TO HOLD A SPARE TIRE. THE MANUFACTURER DID NOT PROVIDE ANY FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 32,000.

I HAVE A 2007 NISSAN QUEST I BOUGHT NEW. IT HAS REAR SONAR AS ONE OF THE OPTIONS AND DUE TO THE SIZE, SHAPE AND BLIND SPOTS IT IS NEEDED. I NOTICED WITH 35000 MILES THAT THE REAR SONAR WAS INOP- SINCE I BOUGHT IT FOR MY WIFE, I WAS UNAWARE IT WAS INOP FOR A WHILE. IT WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY BECAUSE I HAVE OWNED IT FOR 37 MOS. AFTER SOME RESEARCH IT APPEARS IT IS NOT ONLY COMMON IN ALL YEARS OF THE QUEST BUT THE TITAN AS WELL. THE PROBLEM IS A DEFECTIVE AURAL BUZZER. WHEN YOU HAVE A FAULT SOMEWHERE IN THE SYSTEM THE OFF LIGHT SHOULD COME ON LETTING YOU KNOW THE SYSTEM IS OFF- HOWEVER, IT ILLUMINATES SPORADICALLY AND WHAT YOU THINK IS A WORKING SYSTEM IS REALLY NOT- I HAVE TALKED WITH PEOPLE WHO WERE UNAWARE THE SYSTEM WAS OFF UNTIL THEY BACKED INTO SOMETHING CAUSING MINIMAL BUT EXPENSIVE DAMAGE. I AM AN AIRCRAFT MECHANIC AND CANNOT SEE HOW THERE IS NOT A RECALL ON THE BUZZER- WHEN BACKING UP LOOKING BEHIND YOU AND USING YOUR MIRRORS THERE IS A HUGE BLIND AREA IN THE BACK OF THE VAN THAT IS CAUSED BY THE GRADUAL INCREASE IN THE SLOPE OF THE BODY PANELS. MY CONCERN IS THAT IT IS A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE SOMEONE GETS INJURED. THE PROBLEM IS THAT NISSAN USES A DEFECTIVE BUZZER THAT THEY KNOW WILL FAIL- IT IS A CHEAP FIX FOR THE DEALERS HOWEVER FOR THE CONSUMER IT WOULD COST UPWARDS OF 400 DOLLARS FOR A BUZZER THAT CAN BE PURCHASED AT RADIO SHACK FOR 5 DOLLARS. I REPLACED MINE WITH THE ORIGINAL NISSAN PART THAT COST 60 DOLLARS AND FIND IT OFFENSIVE THEY HAVE NOT VOLUNTARILY FIXED A PROBLEM THEY KNOW EXISTS- IT IS SAFETY RELATED AND AS SOMEONE WHO FIXES JETS FOR A MAJOR AIRLINE, SAFETY IS FIRST AND FOREMOST ALONG WITH A RELIABLE, DEPENDABLE PRODUCT. DURING COLD WEATHER THE BACK, SLIDING, DOORS FREEZE SHUT. IT TAKES A VERY LONG TIME FOR THEM TO "DEFROST" AND BE OPENED. ADDITIONALLY, I HAVE A SMALL CHILD IN A CARSEAT AND I NEED TO CLIMB THROUGH TO THE BACK SEATS FROM THE FRONT TO BUCKLE THEM IN. LASTLY, WHEN THE DOORS DO FINALLY THAW THE "DOOR AJAR" LIGHT COMES ON AND I NEED TO PULL OVER AND OPEN/CLOSE IT. *TR

I NEED THE DEFECTIVE DOOR CORRECTED AS THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN AND I WILL NOT LET MY FAMILY RIDE IN THE VEHICLE UNTIL THIS IS REPAIRED OR PROVEN TO BE WITH IN SPECIFICATION. *TR

TL*THE CONTACT'S SPOUSE OWNS A 2007 NISSAN QUEST. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AUTOMATIC AND MANUAL SLIDING DOORS WILL NOT OPEN OR SHUT SOMETIMES ON COLD DAYS. WHEN THE DOORS DO OPEN, THEY WILL JUST STAY PROPPED OPEN FROM THE BACK. ONCE THE VEHICLE WARMS UP, THE DOORS WILL OPEN AND SHUT PROPERLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER APPROXIMATELY FOUR TIMES, BUT THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 11,503 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,162.
