The CVT transmission started to fail. 1 day it started jerking some. 2 or 3 times. The next time was more jerking and harder. The last day the jerking was longer in length of time. Then the transmission became a little louder. The jerking was constant with acceleration. We made it home and parked the car. I did not see a code, the engine light only came on after three condition became questionable as to returning home. No dealer or mechanic has inspected the car. I'm positive it is the transmission from all i read on the internet.
No idea why. My transmission has went up again. After about 55k ish since it was replaced the last time. Done at the Nissan dealer and everything.
The contact owns a 2011 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving approximately 75 MPH, the contact smelled an abnormal odor after which the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact was able to veer the vehicle to the shoulder before getting the vehicle to restart. The contact took the vehicle to a mechanic and the vehicle was diagnosed with transmission failure. Bought 2011 Nissan Rogue [XXX]. Had new battery put in and radiator bracks installed along with antifreeze tank. $469 Then code PO744 Torque converter circuit bad. Now I need new transmission so it doesn't overheat!! $3000 plus to fix. I can't afford this! I'm [XXX] and receive $1081 a month. Please help me!! I'm reporting the same as many others so that I have documentation. Last week while my daughter was driving back to college (about 170 miles), about halfway the vehicle began to slow down. As she pressed the accelerator, the engine would rev but the car would not accelerate. This was extremely scary as she was travelling on the expressway and there was a semi-truck directly behind her when this happened. A major accident could have happened. She ultimately made it to school taking about an hour longer than normal. She should have pulled over, but it was getting dark, and she was travelling alone. After she called and explained to me what happened, I researched the issue and found that this seems too very common relating to the trans fluid over-heating. The fix requires a cooler to added to the system to cool the fluid. Having personally worked on many cars including changing transmissions, this is not a quick cheap repair. Again, I'm thankful she wasn't rear ended. Nissan needs to address this known issue and compensate those impacted by this. I pray no one gets seriously injured.
The car will not go when she come to stop at shakes and jerks, so hard you cannot accelerate once you come from a stop if you do the car dies the car dies when trying to merge onto the highway due to the acceleration especially on hot days almost died a few times on the way home from work hitting St. Louis traffic. The car is a piece of junk. Good luck surviving trying to drive it.
While driving, the rpm’s go up but the speed decreases. The transmission is not performing correctly.

The CVT transmission would over heat numerous times in uphill drive after 30 miles driving. The overheating would result in sudden slowing of vehicle and loss of acceleration even when acceleration pedal is fully pressed. It puts vehicle to danger because it can be in front of fast moving vehicle. It also makes exiting a freeway and stopping merging into traffic dangerous because vehicle stops responding to driver commands.
My son was driving our 2011 Nissan Rogue that only has 58K miles on it. At first you could just feel a difference in the accelerator pedal and the transmission shifted gears. The car was shaking bad at 45 miles per hour when the car was warm. The gears started making noise during certain shifts in the transmission and sounded like driving over a rumble strip in the road, then would vibrate the same at about 55 miles per hour. The noise changed so when the car switches gears the noises would change in pitch. When it drives the noise is loud and you can feel it rock when the transmission is switching gears. You have to grip the steering wheel. If you consistently drive the noise and shaking would get worse and would make squeaking sound. When breaking the car rocks and hesitates as it downshifts. We first took the car to pep boys and they changed the front axle. They did a thorough check under the vehicle and everything look like normal wear and tear. There were no leaks. The car moved somewhat smoother drive wise, but there consistent mechanical problems were still the same. We took the car back to pep boys for the same issues and we replaced all the tires, brakes, checked wheel bearings, they did another thorough check and the transmission fluid was fine and there were no leaks. They did finally do a good test drive to and recommended a full replacement of the transmission. We then took the car to Nissan for another opinion and they said it was the transmission and that we had problems with the axles, even though we just had the axles replaced. Nissan ran full diagnostics and there are no codes or an engine light and the computer was good. We definitely don’t think these are normal problems. 1. The car only has 60K miles and has regular upkeep and maintenance. 2. It is definitely a safety hazard with the shaking and rocking and feeling like it won’t break in time. At this point it even does it at low speeds. It is not safe!
Just bought my 2011 Nissan Rogue today and drove around off and on all day with no issues. I went to my son's house for approximately 5 minutes (left car running) and when I went to leave I had no acceleration. I tried pushing on the gas pedal with no luck. It literally coasted about a block before it finally stopped moving. I made a few phone calls and was told to shut the car off for about 5 minutes (which I did) and then turn it back on (which I did) and I put it in drive and it was all of a sudden fine. I feel as if there has been more than enough complaints regarding this issue with the 2011 Nissan Rogue and nhtsa should address this matter with Nissan who should be held accountable for this. I personally bought the vehicle based on all the good things I was told about it but now, not even 24 hours after buying it, I am regretting my decision. I should have stuck with my kia soul (she never let me down)!! I feel this is a HUGE safety issue

The contact noticed that the vehicle was jerking prior to the failure. The driver depressed the brake pedal but was concerned about the vehicle moving. The CVT transmission shuts off for no reason. The engine revs up like crazy but the power convertor does not do its job of transmitting power to the driveshaft. Turns out that the CVT transmission went into shutdown mode for no reason - I was driving downhill, in an empty car, with no load at 65 mph.
I own a 2011 Nissan Rouge, it has 110k miles in it. We’ve taken care of it since we purchased it in 2015, prompt maintenance (with all receipts) new tires etc. As soon as the car hit 100k miles it started acting “funny”. It would jerk when we drove it, when we reversed it would make a weird noise as well. Took it to auto body shop every time and they couldn’t find anything wrong with it, no error lights on the dashboard either. It only got worse from there, when the second I would stop at a red light the car would turn off, all the dashboard lights on so I would have to turn the key as if I was turning it off and put it on park then turn it back on and turn it on Drive to go. There were a few times that cars came close to hitting me because I was idled at a green light. Then last week on Saturday July 10th, I was coming back home, stopped at a red light, as the light turns green I pushed on the gas pedal, the car wouldn’t move one bit but engine was on. I pulled over to see what was going on, the car wouldn’t drive anymore. Called a tow truck and had it towed to my House as the auto shops were not taking any more appts. On Monday I had it towed and the shop tells me it’s the transmission and quoted me over $4,000. I called Nissan North America after researching that this is a known issue for Rouges and Nissan has been notified by multiple consumers. I was hopeful that they would help me out but waited for the Supervisor to call me back and called me end of day and with non apologetic tells me Nissan can’t do anything about it, that I can take it to a dealership and pay out of pocket because warranty is expired. I explained they have a lot of cases opened because they’re selling cars with bad transmissions and he just asks “is there anything else I can do for sure” totally brushing me off. Buyer beware! Do not buy Rouges. My coworker had a 2012 Nissan Rouge and same issue as soon as it hit 100k miles. My neighbor has a new Rouge and has had issues with transmission

The CVT transmission would over heat numerous times on long trips. This would slow me down in traffic or going up hills. Also, when exiting a freeway and stopping merging into traffic was dangerous on numerous occasions due to now coming from the transmission. The Nissan CVT has been recalled, been subject to numerous lawsuits. In fact Nissan has extended the warranty on the Rogue transmission up to the year 2010 and from 2012 but has continuously ignored the 2011 Rogue. I just recently had to have the transmission rebuilt on my 2011 Rogue. If I had known about this earlier I could have taken preventative measures.

ONCE ON THE HIGHWAY AND THREE OTHER TIMES ON A CITY ROAD WITH VEHICLES STUCK BEHIND ME. ONE OF THOSE TIMES I HAD NO WHERE TO PULL OFF AND SAT ON THE ROAD. THIS SHOULD BE A MAJOR CONCERN FOR NISSAN AND THE NHTSA. SOONER OR LATER SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET SERIOUSLY INJURED OR WORSE. INSTEAD, WE ARE POURING OUR MONEY INTO A VEHICLE WITH NO WAY TO FIX IT. IT'S WILD THAT THERE ISN'T MORE PROTECTION FROM HUGE CORPORATE BULLIES LIKE NISSAN. GARBAGE PRODUCT WITH NO TRUST BEHIND THE NAME. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT METAL SHAVINGS WERE FOUND IN THE TRANSMISSION. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. WHILE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE ON HIGHWAY AND SECONDARY ROADS I NOTICED A LOSS OF POWER AND SLIPPAGE OF THE TRANSMISSION. I TOOK TO A LOCAL SHOP SEVERAL TIMES BUT WASN'T ABLE TO DIAGNOSE. I FINALLY TOOK TO A NISSAN DEALER ( MCGUIRE NISSAN OF SYRACUSE ) AND THEY DIAGNOSED AS A BAD TRANSMISSION. THEY GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE TO INSTALL NEW TRANSMISSION AND OIL COOLER FOR TRANSMISSION FOR $5,300.00 PLUS TAX. I THEN DID SOME RESEARCH ON THE NISSAN AND FOUND OUT THAT NISSAN HAD ALOT OF ISSUES WITH THEIR TRANSMISSIONS , SO MANY THAT THEY EXTENDED THE WARRANTY FROM 5 YEAR - 60,000 MILES TO 10 YEAR - 120,000 MILES ON MOST OF THEIR VEHICLES. I CONTACTED NISSAN DIRECTLY AND THEY SAID THIS DOESN'T PERTAIN TO MY 2011 AS IT ONLY COVERED THE 2003 THRU 2010. MY VEHICLE ONLY HAS 74,000 MILES. DURING MY RESEARCH I READ THAT A LOT OF THESE TRANSMISSIONS WERE ONLY GOOD FOR 80,000 MILES AND THAT IS WHY THEY EXTENDED THE WARRANTY. ULTIMATELY I WAS COMPELLED TO GET THIS FIXED FROM MCGUIRE OF SYRACUSE AND WITH TAX COST ME $5,791.54. I BELIEVE THAT MY CAR SHOULD HAVE BEEN INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL AS THE ISSUES ARE THE SAME AS THE OTHER YEARS THAT HAD ISSUES. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

ON 7/31/2020, TRAVELING FROM FT. LAUDERDALE TO SARASOTA, FLORIDA, ON I-95, (ALLIGATOR ALLEY) AROUND 1 HR IN AFTER TURNING ON CRUISE CONTROL, (90+ OUTSIDE TEMPS), CRUISING AT AROUND 82 MPH ... CAR SUDDENLY DECELERATED TO -60 MPH AND, PEDAL TO THE METAL, WOULD NOT ACCELERATE, CONTINUED TO SLOW DOWN. I PULLED INTO A REST STOP, TURNED IT OFF FOR 20 MINUTES, THEN RESTARTED IT AND USED MY FIXD DEVICE AND APP. IT BROUGHT UP CODE P0744, "TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH CIRCUIT INTERMITTENT". IT RAN OK FOR THE REST OF THE TRIP AND THE RETURN TRIP BUT ACCELERATION WAS SLUGGISH. ON 9/3/2020, SAME TRIP, SAME ROAD, SAME 90+ TEMPS OUTSIDE, ON I-95, (ALLIGATOR ALLEY), A LITTLE OVER 1 HOUR IN, NO CRUISE CONTROL THIS TIME, CAR DID THE SAME EXACT THING: DECELERATED FROM 82 TO -60 MPH. I PULLED INTO A REST STOP, TURNED IT OFF FOR A HALF HOUR, RE-STARTED IT, RAN THE FIXD APP AGAIN, BUT THIS TIME IT SAID "NO ERRORS", AND THREW NO CODES. BOTH TIMES CAR WAS OK AFTER BEING OFF AWHILE. NO PROBLEMS ON RETURN TRIP ...BUT IN GENERAL, ACCELERATION IS SLUGGISH. I STOPPED BY THE DEALER AND THE SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE SAID THEY COULD PUT THE COMPUTER ON IT FOR $139 BUT PROBABLY COULDN'T DIAGNOSE IT UNLESS IT WAS HAPPENING OR SOME CODES WERE STORED, WHICH WAS DOUBTFUL I SAID NO THANKS. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM! THERE ARE OVER 200 COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE/PROBLEM FOR THIS YEAR ALONE, BUT IT APPEARS THAT ALL ROGUES SEEM TO HAVE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS EXACT ISSUE OF DECELERATION AND THE MANUFACTURER ACTS AS IF IT DOESN'T EXIST. SOME HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION, SOME HAVE ADDED TRANSMISSION COOLERS WITH NO IMPROVEMENT. I'VE OWNED DOZENS OF VEHICLES AND HAVE NEVER ENCOUNTERED THIS PROBLEM BEFORE. IN MID PANDEMIC WITH ONLY MY SS CHECK AS INCOME I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. I NEED TO DRIVE UP TO NY AND MA AND NEED A SAFE, RELIABLE CAR!

LOST EXCCELERATION WOULD NOT GO ABOVE 60 MPH, THE RPMS WERE GOING OVER 3 I HAD TO PULL OVER ON THE HIGHWAY. THEY CHECKED IT OUT AND COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING THEN FINALLY SAID IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION THEN ALSO MENTIONED THAT I HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE AXLE WHICH WAS LEAKING AND COSTED ME MORE MONEY, WHICH I DON'T THINK I SHOULD HAVE HAD TO PAY SINCE I ONLY HAD IT FOR 4 MONTHS. THIS VEHICLE IS UNSAFE AND I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING IT ANYMORE SINCE I GOT IT BACK. I HAVE DONE RESEARCH AND SEE THAT THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN RECALLED I HAD NO IDEA TO EVEN LOOK FOR A RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE. I HAVE A FRIEND WHO HAS A 2016 THAT HAS THE SAME PROBLEM RECENTLY HAPPEN TO HER ON THE ROAD.

ON JUNE 12, 2020, WHILE I WAS DRIVING IN I-75 KNOXVILLE TO CHATTANOOGA MY NISSAN REFUCE VELOCITY AND POWER AUTOMATICALLY WITHOUT MY CONTROL STOPPING. I WAS PLACING FROM DRIVE TO PARK, WAIT SOME MINUTES WUTH MY ENERGENCY LIGHT ON. THE TRAFFIC WAS DANGER BEHIND ME. LATER THE SAME SITUATION OCCUR IN SWALLFORD EXIT 5 ON I-75, IN THAT WAY I SUPPOSE TGE PROBLEM COMING IN HIGH SPEED ON INTERSTATE,BECAUSE ON SLOW NOT OCCUR. I WAS TAKING MY VEHICLE MISSAN ROGUE 2011 IAT DEALER THEY THOUGHT THAT TGEY NEEDED TO REPROGRAMMED THE PVC SENSOR OR AIR FLOW. JOINED TO TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH SOLENOID CIRCUIT. BUT THE DIAGNOSIS RESULTED WIRST THAN IT. DEALER SAID ME I NEEDED TO REPLACE MY TRANSMISSION. U VERY UPPSET WITH NISSAN BECAUSE THIS VEHICLE IS NOT OLD MILES WITH THE CHANGE IF OIL ALL THE TIME. I CHANGE THE OIL TRANSMISSION ON DEALER PAID $156.00 AND THEY TOLD ME I NEED TO PAY $3820 FOR TRANSMISSION. THERE IS SOMRTHING WRONG AND NOT ETHIC WITH TGE CUSTOMER. THE CAR IS A NEED AND THE NISSAN SHOULD BE MORE HONEST WHEN THEY CHECK THE VEHICLE THE DEALERS AND MORE WHEN THE PARTS ARE DONE TO BE CHECK OR VERIFIED IN THE AUTHORIZED OR CERTIFIED NISSAN MECHANICS. I ASK YOU FOR BE FAIR AND CONSCIENCE IN MY SITUATION BECAUSE I DONT BELIEVE IN THIS KIND OF ATTENTION FOR NISSAN TOWARDS CUSTOMER AFTER ALREADY PAID MONTHLY A VEHICLE. PASSENGER AIRBAG SENSOR BLINKS DUE TO A MALFUNCTION. COST TO FIX IS $3K DUE TO HAVING TO REPLACE THE PASSENGER SEAT WHERE THE SENSOR IS, WHICH IS HALF THE VALUE OF THE VEHICLE. THIS HAS BEEN BLINKING FOR THE PAST YEAR AND IS EXTREMELY DISTRACTING AND DANGEROUS WHILE DRIVING. NOT SURE IF THIS MEANS THAT THE PASSENGER AIRBAG WILL NOT DEPLOY, WHICH IS *EXTREMELY* DANGEROUS. ADDITIONALLY, WHEN TRAVELING, THE VEHICLE OFTEN LOSES ACCELERATION, EVEN WITH THE GAS PEDAL ALL THE WAY DOWN. IT BECOMES EXTREMELY DIFFICULT AND DANGEROUS TO STOP OR TURN. THE STEERING WHEEL LOSES POWER STEERING, AND THE BRAKES DO NOT ENGAGE QUICKLY AT ALL.

AS I WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE (2011 NISSAN ROGUE) CUT OFF AS I WAS SLOWING DOWN. THE VEHICLE BEGAN JERKING AS I WAS DRIVING. ALL THE LIGHTS ON THE DASHBOARD CAME ON AND THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF AT A STOP LIGHT. DURING ANOTHER INCIDENT THE VEHICLE STALLED WHILE GOING DOWN A RODE WITH A SMALL HILL. THEN STALLED ON THE HIGHWAY OFF RAMP. LUCKILY, WE HAD A SHOULDER AREA TO PULL OFF. AFTER SITTING IN THE VEHICLE AN WAITING FOR 10 - 15 MINUTES THE VEHICLES STARTED AND BEGAN DRIVING FINE. WE LATER TOOK THE CAR TO OUR LOCAL MECHANIC AND HER CHANGED ALL THE BELTS, AXLE RODS, BALL JOINTS AS WELLS AS AN OIL CHANGE. THE CAR ROD FINE FOR 3 MONTHS THEN BAM! ONCE AGAIN THE SAME ISSUES OCCURRED. ALMOST GOT IN AN ACCIDENT PULLING INTO TRAFFIC AND LOST COMPLETE POWER FOR A FEW SECONDS, WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO GET INTO A TURN LANE BEFORE I GOT HIT BY ONCOMING TRAFFIC. TOOK IT TO ANOTHER MECHANIC AND DETERMINED IT WAS TRANSMISSION AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THEY'RE TELLING ME MY CAR COULD TURN INTO A GIANT PAPERWEIGHT AT ANY MOMENT.

NISSAN DID EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR 10 YEARS AND 120,000 MILES FOR THE TRANSMISSION UP TO YEAR 2010. MY VEHICLE IS A 2011 WHICH FALLS SHORT OF THERE WARRANTY. THEY SHOULD HAVE GIVE THIS WARRANTY TO ALL THERE VEHICLES IF THEY WERE SURE THEY FIX THE ISSUE.

THE CAR WOULD LURCH AND GO FORWARD SO I WAS ABLE TO GET OFF THE EXIT RAMP AND INTO A PARKING LOT. AAA TOWED CAR TO NISSAN COOKEVILLE WHERE THEY SAID A LOW PUMP PRESSURE CAUSED THE TRANSMISSION TO FAIL. THEY REPLACED THIS TRANSMISSION WITH A REBUILT TRANSMISSION AND I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE 150 MILES BACK HOME. ON 11/29/2018, WHILE SITTING AT A RED LIGHT AFTER PULLING OFF I-140 IN ALCOA, TN, I PRESSED THE ACCELERATOR AND MY CAR WOULD NOT GO. I WAS SITTING IN THE MIDDLE LANE AT 5:30PM ON A DARK, RAINY THURSDAY NIGHT. I HAD TO CALL 911. IT TOOK A POLICE OFFICER 10 TO 15 MINUTES TO GET THERE. THE AREA WHERE I WAS IS RIGHT OFF I-140 EXIT RAMP. I ENDED UP BACKING TRAFFIC UP ON AN INTERSTATE BECAUSE MY CAR WOULD NOT GO. THANKFULLY, NO ONE WRECKED INTO ME. SINCE I COULD NOT TOW MY CAR 150 MILES BACK TO COOKEVILLE, I TOOK IT TO THE ALCOA DEALERSHIP. WHERE I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD NOT HONOR THE REPLACED TRANSMISSION FROM THE COOKEVILLE NISSAN DEALERSHIP. SO, I AM OUT OVER $4,000, HAVE NO TRANSPORTATION, AND HAVE NO INCOME TO BUY A REPLACEMENT VEHICLE BECAUSE OF THE $4,000 I SPENT 2 WEEKS AGO ON ANOTHER TRANSMISSION. I AM TERRIFIED OF CVT TRANSMISSIONS. I AM SICKENED THAT I HAVE NO RESOURCES TO HELP ME AT LEAST FIGHT THE $4,000 FOR THE TRANSMISSION THAT FAILED 2 WEEKS AFTER BEING PUT IN MY CAR. THIS CAR IS INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE, AS EVIDENCED BY THE FACT THAT I WAS BLOCKING TRAFFIC IN A MAJOR INTERSECTION, IN THE RAIN, AT NIGHT, DURING HEAVY TRAFFIC. I DO NOT HAVE THE DOCUMENTATION WITH ME AS IT IS WITH MY CAR AT THE ALCOA DEALERSHIP, BUT I WILL BE WILLING TO PROVIDE ONCE I AM ABLE TO GET TO MY CAR.

THEY ADVISED ME TO CONTACT NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS BECAUSE THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM THEY SEE WITH NISSANS AND CONSUMER AFFAIRS WOULD BE ABLE TO HELP. I CONTACTED NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS ON NOVEMBER 5 AND "ADAM" WAS VERY UNDERSTANDING. HE CHECKED MY VIN # AND SAID THAT MY VEHICLE WAS NOT SPECIFICALLY COVERED UNDER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY, BUT THAT NISSAN WOULD STILL BE WILLING TO ASSIST WITH THE REPAIR COSTS. HE SAID I WOULD HAVE TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO A NISSAN SERVICE CENTER AND HAVE A DIAGNOSTIC DONE BY THEM AS A FIRST STEP. I TOLD HIM A DIAGNOSTIC HAD ALREADY BEEN DONE BY AAA, BUT HE SAID NISSAN HAD TO DO IT THEMSELVES IN ORDER TO MAKE THE NECESSARY REPAIRS. I THEN HAD THE CAR TOWED TO SANSONE 66 IN NEPTUNE CITY, NJ. I HAD ANOTHER DIAGNOSTIC DONE WHICH CONFIRMED THAT THE PROBLEM WAS THE CVT TRANSMISSION. I THEN CONTACTED NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS AGAIN TO ADVISE THEM THAT THE DIAGNOSTIC WAS COMPLETED. THEY TOLD ME THAT A DIFFERENT DEPARTMENT IN NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS WOULD BE CONTACTING ME THE NEXT DAY WITH INFORMATION ON HOW MY PROBLEM WAS GOING TO BE RESOLVED. I WAS THEN CONTACTED BY CONSUMER AFFAIRS REP "QUINCY" ON NOVEMBER 11. SHE ADVISED ME THAT SHE WOULD BE MAKING THE DECISION ON HOW/IF NISSAN WOULD BE RESOLVING MY CVT PROBLEM. I ASKED HER IF SHE HAD RECEIVED A COPY OF THE DIAGNOSTIC REPORT FROM SANSONE SO SHE COULD USE THAT TO RENDER HER DECISION. SHE SAID THAT SHE HAD NOT, BUT THAT HER DECISION WOULD IN LARGE PART BE BASED ON "CUSTOMER LOYALTY". I ASKED WHAT SHE MEANT AND WAS TOLD THAT SHE WAS REFERRING TO PAST SERVICE HISTORY AT NISSAN DEALERS. SHE DENIED ME ANY ASSISTANCE WITH THE REPAIR.

THE COST OF REPLACEMENT IS $3,000. THE PREVIOUS MODEL YEARS 2003-2010 WARRANTY'S WERE INCREASED TO 10 YEARS 120,000 MILES DUE TO ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION. IT APPEARS TO ME THAT THE ISSUE WAS NOT FIXED AND WARRANTY'S AGAIN SHOULD BE EXTENDED FOR OWNERS OF MODEL YEAR 2011 AND BEYOND. NISSAN SHOULD STAND BY THEIR VEHICLES AND REPAIR AND REPLACE WHEN ISSUES ARISE.

THE SHAKING HAS BECAME MORE SEVERE AND NOW ATBV138,000 THE CAR WONT START AT ALL. FURTHER RESEARCH SHOWS THIS IS VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE 2011 ROGUE. THIS SAFETY ISSUE COULD HAVE RESULTED IN EXTREME BODILY HARM OR DEATH WHEN THE CAR INITIALLY SHUT DOWN.

I TRIED TO ACCELERATE BACK UP TO THE SPEED LIMIT AND IT WOULDN'T ACCELERATE MORE THAN 40 MPH AND THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO REV AT HIGH RPM'S. I HAD TO PULL OVER TO THE FREEWAY SHOULDER AND PUT MY HAZARD LIGHTS ON WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH. I EXITED THE OFF RAMP AND STOPPED AT THE STOP SIGN. WHEN I TRIED TO ACCELERATE, THE CAR WAS VERY SLUGGISH AND I HAD TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AGAIN BECAUSE IT WASN'T ACCELERATING AND WAS DRIVING AT ABOUT 2 MPH. THE ONLY WAY I COULD DRIVE WAS TO DOWN SHIFT TO LOW AND DRIVE AT LOW SPEED ON SURFACE STREETS. CARS WERE HONKING THEIR HORNS BEHIND ME BECAUSE MY CAR WOULD TAKE 5 - 10 SECONDS TO MOVE FORWARD FROM A STOP SIGN. I HAD TO STAY IN LOW GEAR BECAUSE IT WOULDN'T ACCELERATE IN REGULAR DRIVE GEAR. I STOPPED AT AN AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR SHOP AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE LOCAL AAMCO TRANSMISSION SHOP REFUSED TO WORK ON NISSAN ROGUE TRANSMISSIONS. THE AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR SHOP SAID THAT IT WOULD COST $4,500 FOR A NEW TRANSMISSION. I SHOULDN'T BE HAVING TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS ON A 2011 VEHICLE. THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP WAS GIVEN A SERVICE BULLETIN (REFERENCE NTB16-090) DETAILING "2011-2015 ROGUE REDUCED PERFORMANCE DUE TO CVT FLUID TEMPERATURE PROTECTION LOGIC" WHEN I TOOK MY ROGUE TO THE DEALERSHIP, THE SERVICE ADVISOR SAID THE ROGUE WILL HAVE A LOSS OF PERFORMANCE AND WILL NOT ACCELERATE IN RESPONSE TO PRESSING ON THE GAS PEDAL IF THE "OUTSIDE AIR TEMPERATURE IS 80 AND YOU ARE DRIVING IN A HILLY AREA". MY WIFE & I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED ON THE HIGHWAY DUE TO A DEFECT IN THE CVT THAT NISSAN KNEW ABOUT BUT DID NOT NOTIFY CURRENT OWNERS. THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP RECOMMENDED A "FIX" WHICH IS TO INSTALL AN "AUXILIARY TRANSMISSION COOLER" AT MY OWN COST IN EXCESS OF $1,000. NISSAN NEEDS TO RECALL ALL VEHICLES WITH A CVT OR COVER THE COST OF THE "FIX" AND GUARANTEE THE "FIX".

ANY AMBIENT TEMPERATURE PUSHING OVER 80 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT AND IT'S ALMOST A GIVEN THAT THE VEHICLE WILL LOSE POWER AND GO INTO A LIMP MODE; THIS BASICALLY MEANS THAT ITS CVT TRANSMISSION OVERHEATS AND NO MATTER HOW FAR DOWN YOU PUSH THE GAS PEDAL, ALL YOU GET IS A MAXIMUM OF 3000 RPMS BUT NO ACTUAL ACCELERATION. EVERY TIME IT'S DRIVEN DURING SUMMER HAS BEEN A GAMBLE ON NOT IF, BUT WHEN IT WILL HAPPEN. HILLS OF ANY UPHILL INCLINE OR GRADE EXACERBATE THE PROBLEM. THIS IS ALL DUE TO THE TRANSMISSION NOT BEING ABLE TO BE COOLED ENOUGH WITH THE BASE MODEL OF THE VEHICLE. WHAT'S WORSE IS THAT THE PROBLEM CAN'T BE FIXED UNTIL YOU MANAGE TO PULL OFF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, OUT OF TRAFFIC. THIS BECOMES AN ISSUE INSIDE OF CITIES WHERE YOU LOSE POWER SUDDENLY AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT AND CAN'T ACCELERATE, ESPECIALLY WHEN EXITING OR ENTERING A HIGHWAY. NISSAN KNOWS IT'S AN ISSUE AS THEY ADDRESSED IT WITH THE 2003-2010 MODELS YET HAVE CONTINUED THE SAME PRACTICE ON EVERY LATER MODEL WITHOUT ANY FIXES NOR ANY EXTENDED WARRANTIES AS THEY DID FOR THE PREVIOUSLY STATED MODELS. IN MANY CASES THEY SUGGEST AN EXTERNAL COOLING UNIT THAT HAS TO BE PAID FOR OUT OF THE CONSUMER'S POCKET. A SIMPLE SEARCH FOR CVT TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS GIVES PAGE AFTER PAGE OF 95% NISSAN SIMILAR ISSUES AND ONE OR TWO FOR SOME OTHER CAR COMPANY THAT IS A SMALL ISSUE. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A PROBLEM AND WHAT'S WORSE IS IT'S A KNOWN PROBLEM THAT NISSAN IS BARELY OWNING UP TO. THEY ARE SELLING A SHODDY PRODUCT WITH FAULTY DESIGN AND KNOW ABOUT IT.

THE TRANSMISSION FAILED IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC ON A BUSY CITY STREET, AND THERE WERE NO CHECK ENGINE OR OTHER WARNING LIGHTS IN ADVANCE OF THE CAR SUDDENLY STRUGGLING TO ACCELERATE AND JERKING TO A STOP WHEN TRYING TO BRAKE. THIS HAPPENED IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC WITH A CHILD IN THE CAR, WHICH WAS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. EVEN AFTER I WAS ABLE TO COAX THE CAR OFF THE ROAD AND INTO A PARKING LOT, JERKING AND PRACTICALLY STALLING ALONG THE WAY, THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS OR OTHER INDICATORS THAT SUBSEQUENTLY CAME ON TO INDICATE THERE WAS ANY POTENTIAL TROUBLE WITH THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER SERVICE ADVISOR COULD ONLY SAY THE TRANSMISSION SUFFERED AN INTERNAL FAILURE AND COULD NOT EXPLAIN WHY IT HAPPENED, WHAT CAUSED IT OR HOW THE TRANSMISSION PASSED PRIOR INSPECTION FEWER THAN 30K MILES PRIOR TO SUDDEN FAILURE. IT IS FORTUNATE WE WERE NOT REAR-ENDED WHEN THE ACCELERATION FAILED AND THAT I WAS ABLE TO GET OFF OF THE ROAD SO THAT ME AND MY CHILD WERE NOT IN FURTHER DANGER ON THE ROAD. THIS TRANSMISSION IS HAZARDOUS TO HAVE IN VEHICLES AS IT CAN BRING ONE TO A STOP ALMOST IMMEDIATELY WITH NO WARNING AT ALL, AND THE MANUFACTURER CAN'T EVEN EXPLAIN WHY OR WHAT HAPPENED. THEY ALSO WILL ONLY REPLACE THE FAILED CVT WITH ANOTHER CVT, WHICH I BELIEVE IS UNSAFE SO I WON'T BE HAVING IT REPAIRED. THE NISSAN CVTS SHOULD NOT BE ON THE ROAD. AS THEY TRIED TO FIND A TRANSMISSION FOR MY VEHICLE, THEY SAID THEY FOUND MANY THAT WERE PULLED DUE TO DAMAGE WHICH TOLD THEM THE NISSAN CVT TRANSMISSION WAS JUNK. THEY RECOMMENDED THAT I USE IT TIL THE NEW WARRANTY EXPIRED AND THEN MAYBE SELL THE VEHICLE. I WAS THE ONLY DRIVER OF THE CAR AND BABIED IT AND CHANGED THE FLUIDS AND ENDED UP TRADING THE CAR ON ANOTHER AS I COULD NOT TRUST THE ROGUE TO BE SAFE PULLING INTO TRAFFIC AS IT FAILED US AND ALMOST GOT US HIT. I HAVE A 2011 NISSAN ROGUE AND WITHIN THE PAST 2 MONTHS, I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING LOSS OF ACCELERATION ON A MINIMAL UPHILL SLOPE. BOTH TIMES, I WAS ON THE EXPRESSWAY DRIVING ABOUT 70-75 AND MY SPEED IMMEDIATELY DECREASES TO 60 AND BELOW. WHEN I PRESSED THE GAS PEDAL TO ACCELERATE, NOTHING HAPPENED. MY RPMS WERE IN THE RED ZONE- WHICH HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE- AND I ALMOST GOT REAR ENDED BY A SEMI THE 2ND TIME IT HAPPENED. I IMMEDIATELY PULLED OFF THE ROAD AND TOOK MY CAR TO THE NEAREST MECHANIC. THE DIAGNOSIS WAS A TRANSMISSION CODE BUT BECAUSE MY CAR HAS A CVT TRANSMISSION, HE RECOMMENDED TAKING IT TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP AS THERE HAS BEEN MANY REPORTED ISSUES WITH CVT MODELS, SO MUCH SO THAT THE WARRANTY GOT EXTENDED. UPON FURTHER RESEARCH, THE EXTENDED WARRANTY ONLY COVERS 2003-2010 MODELS. WHEN I CALLED NISSAN, THEY OF COURSE TOLD ME I WAS OUTSIDE OF WARRANTY AS ITS ONLY 5 YEARS OR 60K MILES AND OUTSIDE OF THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. THEY QUOTED ME AT $3600+ TAX FOR A NEW TRANSMISSION AS THEY SAID IT WAS THE TORQUE CONVERTER THAT IS THE ISSUE. THERE ARE MULTIPLE FORUMS ONLINE WITH STORY AFTER STORY OF THE SAME ISSUE BEING EXPERIENCED BY MANY NISSAN DRIVERS YET NISSAN FAILS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND ADDRESS THE FACT THAT MODELS AFTER 2010 ARE EXPERIENCING THE IDENTICAL ISSUES COVERED IN THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS, SUCH AS HEAT WAVES, USING THE CAR FOR A PROLONGED PERIOD OF TIME, AND TRAVELING UPHILL HAVE BEEN DOCUMENTED TO TRIGGER THE LOSS OF ACCELERATION. THIS COMMON FLAW FOUND WITH NISSAN CARS IS HIGHLY DANGEROUS AND WILL INEVITABLY RESULT IN THE LOSS OF LIFE.

JUNE 23, 2016 - I WAS DRIVING ON I-75 FROM ATLANTA, GA TO ORLANDO, FL GOING ABOUT 70 MILES PER HOUR. AFTER DRIVING ABOUT AN HOUR, THE CAR BEGAN TO DECELERATE NO MATTER HOW HARD I STEPPED ON THE ACCELERATOR. I HAD EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM BEFORE, BUT EACH TIME I HAD TAKEN THE CAR TO NISSAN, THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO DETECT THE PROBLEM. I HAD EVEN TAKEN MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP ON JUNE 14TH TO GET IT "CHECKED OUT" BEFORE MY LONG DRIVE. DURING THAT VISIT, I AGAIN COMPLAINED OF THE PROBLEM I WAS HAVING AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIND ANYTHING. I WAS ABLE TO GET TO MACON, GA TO ANOTHER NISSAN DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY IDENTIFIED THE PROBLEM AS THE TRANSMISSION. THEY TOLD ME THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND A TRANSMISSION COOLANT NEEDED TO BE INSTALLED. I LEFT MY CAR THERE (JUNE 23RD) AND AS OF TODAY, JULY 10TH, THEY ARE STILL WORKING ON MY CAR. FIRST THERE WAS A DELAY IN GETTING THE PART, ALTHOUGH THEY PROMISED THE PART ON JUNE 24TH. NOW THEY ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE MACHINE USED TO FIX THE TRANSMISSION. ALTHOUGH THEY PROVIDED A LOANER, I STILL WANT MY CAR. AS OTHERS HAVE MENTIONED, THESE TRANSMISSIONS ARE A KNOWN ISSUE IN NISSANS AND IN MOST CASES, YOU WILL NOT HAVE AN ISSUE UNTIL YOU ARE OUT OF YOUR WARRANTY. NISSAN HAS ISSUED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY (110,000 MILES) ON ALL MODELS THROUGH 2010, BUT NOTHING ON THE 2011 ROGUE. I LET OFF THE GAS AND THE TACHOMETER STAYED AT 6. FRIGHTENED, I PULLED OVER SEVERAL LANES OF TRAFFIC AND OFF THE ROAD. I TURNED OFF THE ENGINE AND SAT THERE SHAKING. AFTER ABOUT 15 MINUTES, I TURNED THE CAR BACK ON AND THE NOISE WAS GONE. I PULLED BACK OUT ONTO THE INTERSTATE AND THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE, WHICH WAS EXCEEDINGLY DANGEROUS AS THERE WERE ONCOMING SEMI'S APPROACHING AT 70+ MILES PER HOUR. IT SLOWLY PICKED UP SPEED AND I DROVE 40 MPH BECAUSE IF I WENT FASTER THAN THAT, THE TACHOMETER WOULD JUMP BACK UP INTO THE RED ZONE. I MADE IT TO A REST STOP WHERE I SAT FOR A HALF HOUR WITH THE CAR OFF. IT HAPPENED AGAIN IN NOVEMBER 2015 ON THE WAY TO VISIT MY SON TWO HOURS AWAY. THIS TIME, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THE CODE INDICATED THE CAR NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION. IT IS STILL HAPPENING. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DOES NOT ALWAYS COME ON AND IF IT DOES, IT TURNS ITSELF OFF IN A DAY OR TWO. I COMMUTE TWO HOURS TO WORK AND BACK A DAY AND WITH THE WARMER (70 PLUS) WEATHER, THE PROBLEM HAS WORSENED. I HAVE TO STOP HALFWAY TO WORK AND HALFWAY BACK TO LET THE CAR COOL OFF. I'VE ALSO NOTICED A "STUTTERING", IN WHICH THE INDICATOR ON THE TACHOMETER MOVES RAPIDLY BACK AND FORTH AROUND THE ONE AND A HALF MARK AND THE CAR SHAKES. THIS GOES AWAY AT HIGHER SPEEDS BUT OCCURS WHEN I AM INCHING ALONG IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC. I TOOK IT TO A NISSAN DEALER YESTERDAY (6.8.16). WE WERE FINALLY ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM (AND GOT VIDEO OF THE TRANSMISSION REVVING UP AND STAYING AT 5 AND THE LOUD NOISE WHILE LOSING POWER DOWN TO 20 MPH). ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE THE CAR WILL LOSE POWER TO THE POINT IT ALMOST FILLS AS IF IT WILL SHUT OFF. USUALLY HAPPENS WHEN STARTING OFF ON A GRADE OR SLOWING FOR A TURN THEN PUSHING THE GAS PEDAL. THE CAR ALSO SHUDDERS AND FEELS LIKE IT CHUGGING OR WOBBLING ALONG, AS IF THE ROAD IT LUMPY. I HAVE SEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ON THE ISSUE, BUT NO RECALL OR SERVICE BULLETINS HAVE BEEN ISSUED. WHEN IT ALMOST COMPLETELY LOSES POWER ITS VERY SCARY, AS IT HAS HAPPENED WHILE TRYING TO MERGE ONTO THE INTERSTATE. I HAVE A YOUNG CHILD AND IT HAS PUT US BOTH IN DANGER MORE THAN ONCE SINCE BUYING THE CAR USED IN JULY 2013. *TR

WHEN DRIVING THE CAR SUDDENLY LOSES POWER, AND DOES NOT ACCELERATE. IF I AM GOING UP A HILL OR HUMP, THE CAR WILL STALL. AT TIMES, HAVE TO FIND AN ALTERNATE ROUTE WHEN DRIVING BECAUSE THE CAR WILL FAIL TO ACCELERATE. I AM AFRAID TO TRAVEL ON MAJOR HIGHWAYS WHERE THERE ARE HILL OR ELEVATED AREAS BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WILL SUDDENLY NOT ACCELERATE. I MUST DRIVE SOMETIMES WITH MY HAZARD LIGHTS BECAUSE THE BRAKE LIGHTS OFTEN FAIL TO COME ON. *JS

FOR A FEW DAYS I HAD NOTICED A SHUTTER IN MY CAR AS IT ACCELERATED. REALLY SINCE I HAD BOUGHT THE CAR IT HAD VIBRATION PROBLEMS. I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 65 MPH ON THE FREEWAY AND GOT ON A RAMP TO MERGE ONTO ANOTHER FREEWAY. WHEN I SLOWED TO MERGE INTO TRAFFIC, I COULD NOT ACCELERATE WHEN PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. THE RPM GAUGE WENT UP TO AROUND 4,000 BUT THE SPEED OF THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT GO ABOVE 15 - 20 MPH. BECAUSE OF THIS, I ALMOST GOT HIT BY A TRUCK THAT WAS IN THE DISTANCE OF THE STRIGHT LANE THAT I MERGED INTO. I PULLED IN FRONT OF HIM BUT COULD NOT GO ANYWHERE AND HE WAS FORCED TO MAKE A QUICK SWERVE INTO ANOTHER LANE TO AVOID ME. THE INTERNET IS FULL OF VIDEOS AND COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER NISSAN ROGUE OWNERS THAT ARE HAVIN THE EXACT SAME PROBLEMS. MY CAR DOES HAVE A LOT OF MILEAGE AS I TRAVEL ABOUT 1,200 MILES PER WEEK FOR MY JOB AS A TERRITORY MANAGER. HOWEVER, THAT ONLY MEANS THAT ALL THIS MILEAGE IS HIGHWAY MILES AND HAS NOT PUT MUCH PRESSURE ON THE TRANSMISSION. THE OTHER OWNERS ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE AT ANYWHERE FROM 6,000 TO 60,000 MILES. NISSAN HAS DOUBLED THEIR WARRANTIES ON THE CVT TRANSMISSIONS BECAUSE OF THE PROBLEMS THAT THEY HAVE EXPERIENCED. HOWEVER, BY THE TIME I GOT MINE TO THE DEALERSHIP THE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED. I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED THAT THE WARRANTY ON THE TRANSMISSION HAD BEEN EXTENDED BY NISSAN OR I WOULD HAVE NOTICED THAT I HAD A PROBLEM. NOW THEY HAVE CHANGED PARTS IN THE NEW TRANSMISSIONS BUT WILL NOT ADMIT TO THEIR PROBLEMS IN THE OLD ONES OR DO ANYTHING TO HELP OUT OWNERS WHO ARE EXPERIENCING THESE PROBLEMS. SOMEBODY WILL BE SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED IN AN ACCIDENT IF THIS ISSUE IS NOT RESOLVED BY NISSAN. HOW CAN YOU PUT THIS TRANSMISSION IN CARS KNOWING ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND NOT ISSUE A RECALL? THEY ARE A SERIOUS THREAT TO OTHER VEHICLES. PLEASE ISSUE A RECALL FOR 2008-2011 MODELS. THANKS.

2011 ROGUE, 40,000 MILES 2 DAYS AGO, PROBLEMS STARTED WITH ACCELERATION. SPECIFICALLY FROM A STOPPED POSITION. AND WHEN ON A HILL, OR AT A FREEWAY RAMP IT WON'T ACCELERATE AT ALL, EVEN WHEN PUSHING DRIVING PEDAL ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE FLOOR.( RPM DOES NOT GO UP) IF I ABLE PASSING THE 15 MILES SPEED EVERYTHING IS RELEASE AND THE CAR DRIVE NORMAL. WHILE TRAVELING ON A TOLL ROAD, SPEED LIMIT 80, MY CAR LOST POWER AFTER TRAVELING ABOUT 45 MINUTES. PRESSING ON THE ACCELERATOR RESULTED IN THE CAR STILL LOOSING POWER. IT DID NOT MATTER HOW MUCH YOU PRESSED THE ACCELERATOR, THE CAR STILL SLOWED DOWN. IT HAPPENED AGAIN ON JULY 17, 2013. TRAVELING THE SAME ROAD. IN ADDITION, WHEN I GOT OFF THE HIGHWAY AND CAME TO A STOP AT A STOP SIGN, I PRESSED THE ACCELERATOR AND THE CAR DID NOT GO AT FIRST. THEN THE CAR SLOWLY MOVED FORWARD. I HAVE GOOGLED THIS PROBLEM AND HAVE FOUND MANY WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME THING. I ALSO SPOKE WITH AN EMPLOYEE AT AN OIL CHANGING BUSINESS WHO SAID HE HAD A CUSTOMER LAST WEEK WITH THE SAME PROBLEM WITH HER NISSAN. IT WAS REPORTED THAT NISSAN TOLD HER THE SENSOR WAS DOING ITS JOB AND SHE WOULD HAVE TO PULL OVER AFTER DRIVING FOR AN HOUR, SHUT OFF HER CAR, WAIT 10 MINUTES, THEN PROCEED. THAT WOULD CLEAR THE SENSOR AND THE CAR WOULD DRIVE NORMAL AGAIN. REALLY! *TR

ON JULY 5TH 2012 OUR RECENTLY PURCHASED (FROM CARMAX) NISSAN ROGUE SV AWD WAS TAKEN IN TO CARMAX (WHERE CAR WAS PURCHASED) IN RALEIGH NC FOR UNIDENTIFIABLE NOISE WHERE WE WERE TOLD THE TRANSMISSION SEALS WERE LEAKING. THE TRANSMISSION SEALS WERE REPLACED BY THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP IN RALEIGH NC. JULY 27TH, 2012 WE NOTICED AN ODD WHINING/GRINDING WHEN DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS AND THEN WHEN THE ACCELERATOR WAS DEPRESSED. THE WHINING/GRINDING BECAME WORSE OVER THE NEXT WEEK. ON AUGUST 6TH 2012 THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND WE WERE TOLD THE TRANSMISSION SEALS WERE BAD AGAIN AND THAT THE CVT TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE TRANSMISSION WAS ORDERED ON THE 6TH OF AUGUST AND ON THE 13TH OF AUGUST WE WERE NOTIFIED BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT THE NISSAN CVT TRANSMISSIONS ARE ON BACK ORDER AND THE BACK ORDER IS NOT SCHEDULED TO RELEASE UNTIL THE 17TH OF AUGUST. *TR

I HAVE A 2011 NISSAN ROGUE THAT HAD 1000MI. ON IT & I WAS PULLING OUT OF A PARKING LOT, I GOT INTO THE MIDDLE OF THE LANE BUT THE ROGUE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE & A VEHICLE WAS ON MY BUMPER BEFORE I KNEW IT! IT DID GET UP TO 3,000RPM'S, NO LOUD NOISE. IT WAS QUITE SCARY. ABOUT A WK. LATER IT DID A SIMILAR THING BUT LESS NOTICEABLE & I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP & THE SVC. PERSON DID A DIAGNOSTIC ON IT & IT SHOWED NOTHING, SO HE TOLD ME THAT THE NEXT TIME IT DID IT TO DRIVE IT TO A DEALERSHIP BUT IF I FELT UNSAFE TO CALL THEM & THEY WOULD PICK ME UP. I HAVE NOT DRIVEN IT FOR A LONG DISTANCE & I AM AFRAID TO DO SO. THE FEAR IS THAT I AM AFRAID THAT SOMEONE WILL HAVE TO DIE BEFORE THEY DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS SCARY SITUATION. *TR
