My vehicle is making this rattling noise so I took it to the dealership and they said I need a subframe. Be advised this vehicle has never been in a accident so why is the subframe needed and I only have 81,000 miles on it
The rear transmission area makes a loud grinding noise on turns under 10 miles an hour. Needs a rear electronic coupler. Happening on many years of this car model

We bought a 2012 Nissan Rogue with 88,000 miles for our daughter last year. Out of nowhere the car/transmission would not accelerate in rush hour, on the highway. The engine light came on but the message was vague as to what the issue was. I don't need to restate the obvious, as far as safety concerns. Thankfully she made it to the shoulder and we had to have the car towed. This could have had catastrophic consequences for her. I have read numerous posts about how this is an inherent problem with the Nissan transmissions without a recall. We are in the process of determining which repair facility to use but the cost, at a minimum, will be $4,200.00.
The CVT component on these cars causes it to lose power and acceleration which can cause an bad accident..one morning while going to work i got onto the expressway and car did not want to acceleration and almost caused me to get into a collision with an 18 wheeler.. The next day i took it to an mechanic shop whereas they told me nothing was wrong with my car and i should contact nissan and complain because the only problem they can guess is its my CVT and nissan made the car to do that so it last longer.. Then 2 days later I was driving on a commercial road with lots of traffic when all of a sudden my car would not acceleration even when I pushed the pedal to the floor.. I pulled over and turned the car off for awhile and then Crunk it back up and it was accelerating better.. so over the course of 5 months I have been having this problem with my car when I come to a stop or when I decelerate and then accelerate.. I did some research to find out what could be the problem and I came across a thread of other consumers that were having the same exact problem with the nissan brand of cars and suv's.. even though they know this problem exists with their make and models they provide no solution other than spend more money on a car they designed with a defective transmission and/or other components.. this is a serious safety concern for anyone driving these cars or suvs from nissan..
Vehicle was driven for 1 hour and 6 minutes for 73 miles. The max speed reached for 65 of the miles was 75 mph and the CVT FLUID TEMPERATURE PROTECTION LOGIC caused the vehicle to decelerate and the driver was barely able to pull off the interstate to a safe location. There should be a recall, owners of this vehicle should not be responsible to pay for a design flaw of this vehicle. This is the 3rd incident that this happened the last 6 months.
My 17yr old son and 20 yr old daughter were traveling to visit grandparents. They were driving normal highway speed and the transmission just cut out and the RPMs reved up to the red line and they barely made it off the road before a collision. This vehicle only has 70k miles and contains one of the faulty transmissions that they are aware of. This model was not included in their recall and is dangerous. This should be considered deception of the consumer, since they knew they built a faulty product and all of these vehicles should be recalled. Nissan should reimburse all consumers for such a poor/faulty/dangerous product.
November 21,2022 while driving my husband to the hospital for major surgery the transmission malfunctioned in our car (it was 16 degrees outside). We had to very slowly drive it back home and take our other car to the hospital. Some days after this we got it to our mechanic where he confirmed it was the transmission that needed to be replaced. It has not yet been inspected by anyone either than our mechanic. It is inoperable at this time. There were no warning lamps or messages that appeared prior to the failure.
Going up hill at 130,000 it doesn't want to pull, you have to put hazards on pray your not hit in the ass end because it happens at random. It then acts fine after a few minutes
I spoke with Nissan telling her my 2012 Nissan Rogue which I bought new, is currently having CVT transmission issues at 115000 miles. She told me, there was nothing Nissan is willing to do for me after 60000 miles. I am highly concerned as not only is Nissan unwilling to stand behind their product but also unwilling to do the right thing. I have followed their service book and completed all scheduled maintenance as directed. I stated I would be submitting a complaint in writing. Given I have twin 5 year old’s and if we were to be in accident then my husband has documentation to submit I had previously informed Nissan of the existing issue which is also well known and documented. Also, that shall Nissan choose not to honor my request by replacing my transmission I shall have no choice but to contact the BBB and A. G. as I do not want any other family to be injured or killed as result of Nissan choosing not to do the right thing. The issue is, while driving on the freeway, the engine will not go into second gear and will not go faster than 10mph after stopping. This is a safety issue which Nissan is aware of. The way to correct the issue is to stop the engine and let it cool for approx 1 hour then you can drive again. As stated on Google, “Transmission Problems are Common With the 2012 Rogue and Can Make for Expensive Repairs. Nissan's continuously variable transmission is known to be problematic, especially around the 100,000-mile mark. Most NHTSA complaints relate to problems with the CVT.Mar 30, 2022” The 2012 Nissan Rogue is reported to still have issues with its transmission and engines. The problems are largely similar, with acceleration problems being the most common. The problems can occur as early as 60,000 miles, and sometimes the vehicle will stall while driving.Jun 22, 2022 If Nissan is aware of the issue with the CVT transmission, why are they not doing something about it? Are they waiting for a lawsuit or a death before they do anything? Help
CVT transmission. Car seems to lose power when accelerating from a stop or entering traffic. Shudders, shakes seems to go to limp mode. I read up on Nissan CVT issues. Warranty's have been extended on year before mine (2012) and those years after me. Called Nissan Corporate. They said they had few complaints on Rogues. I said are you serious? I've read about plenty of complaints. So why have you extended warrantys? Advised they couldn't help me. First Nissan for me and last. Have never had any transmission issues with my vehicles over the years and I'm 74. Other cars NOTHING major just regular maintenance. Disappointed with Nissan they know they have a major issue with CVT transmissions and don't stand behind their product. My car is sitting in the garage. I'm afraid to drive it and around $5000 to replace transmission. It's a 2012 Nissan Rogue SL. Please look into this issue.

While operating the vehicle on a busy road in rush our traffic, the vehicle would not accelerate but the engine was running and the RPMs were very high when trying to go. Suddenly the vehicle the lurched forward; luckily no one was in front of me as my car would not more at first, the vehicle would only go 20 mph and no faster. I was in a 40 mph lane and put my hazards on as I did not know what was happening. Made it to a stop light and once the light changed the same happened as the car would not move then lurched into a gear i guess and I could only go 20 mph. The Check Engine light was not on, but did come on a short minute later. While making a left hand turn from a stop, the vehicle would not move when pressing the gas, then vehicle lurched forward and would barley move as oncoming traffic was coming my way. I drove the Vehicle less then 15 miles to get to a auto repair shop from the very 1st time this started to happen. I was informed I needed a new Transmission. This was a scary and unsafe driving experience and this ended up being very costly.

CVT failed while on the interstate (70mph) and vehicle stopped accelerating. Gas pedal was unresponsive and the car rapidly slowed down while I attempted to to pull over on the side of the road. Cars surrounding were forced to brake, maneuver around. My 3 year old was also in the car. The issue was confirmed by the dealer as an issue with the CVT. There were recalls to transmissions in rogues made prior (2008-2010) and for years made after (2015?). I had the valve replaced per recommendation 2 years ago, and now I am dealing with the same issue for a second time. I attempted to pull out of my driveway, but 20ft out the car stopped accelerating again.
While driving out of state vehicle wouldn't excelerate going up hill. At stop light vehicle was hesitant. It was very dangerous speed limit was 70 mph, car wouldn't go over 40 mph. RPM was going crazy. Engine light came on. Only 93,000 miles on the car. Told CVT transmission will need to be replaced. Had car towed. This is ridiculous 😒. Nissan needs to be sued. It could have caused an accident.
At 60,000 miles the car had a cvt replacement. 70,000 miles later car needs second transmission replacement. Nissan is aware of their faulty cvt transmissions, but refuses to comply. Car is immaculate aside from cvt failure, not accidents. Used as station car. Car stalled in intersection. Luckily I was able to get to side of road. Very traumatizing
While my 2 daughters(22,17) were driving at highway speed from N.E to Co. the vehicle without warning decelerated and dropped to 35 mph,In a panic she pulled off to the side of the highway and called my wife who googled nissan rogue issues and found that the transmission would overheat and then decelerate to protect its components from further damage without any prior warnings.If you wait awhile and were lucky that the tranny had not failed completely in about a half an hour the vehicle would reset and you would be able to drive it again.My daughters made it home and i started to research the commonly known issue with the C.V.T transmission! 1 week later my wife informed me she has had 4-5 instances where the car will not accelerate and high engine R.P.M.s while being in stop and go traffic or from being stopped at a red light or stop sign.I called Nissan consumer affairs dept.and was told there is nothing they were able to assist with because this car had no recalls and 122,164 miles on it.On Monday 5/31/2021 the car would start but the transmission would not engage,the R.P.M.s would not go above 1000.I contacted Nissan and they told me to bring it to a Nissan dealer for diagnostics.I had the vehicle towed($95.)to Valley Nissan longmont,C0(303-586-4311)Saied told me "the tranny had failed,and there were a few gaskets that needed replaced.$147.for diagnostics and the estimate to repair is $4281.I called Nissan C.C 1(888-388-0318)to report the findings and was again told"I am sorry but there is NOTHING we can help you with.I asked Valley Nissan if they would be able to help out and they offered to help by reducing labor and materials for the replacement and repairs to $3859.54.I cannot at this point afford to make the needed repairs,I am not working currently. Nissan Case# 43974262.The car is registered under my wife Harriet Langer.

IT CONTINUES TO DEMONSTRATE THE SAME BEHAVIOR WHENEVER THE ENGINE WARMS UP. THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP THAT I TOOK IT TO SAID THAT THE LIKELY TRANSMISSION PROBLEM WAS COMMON IN NISSAN ROGUES, MURANOS AND VERSAS. I HAD THE CAR LOOKED AT BY TWO OTHER INDEPENDENT MECHANICS WHO AGREED IT WAS A DETERIORATION IN THE WORKINGS OF THE TRANSMISSION AND THAT NISSAN IS WELL AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM IN MULTIPLE MODELS AND MODEL YEARS.

IN NOVEMBER 2017, WHILE DRIVING IN ONE OF THE PASSING LANES ON QEW DRIVING FROM BUFFALO, NY TO TORONTO, CANADA, AT APPX 70 MPH, THE CAR STARTED LOSING POWER AND SPEED. THE RPM STARTED REVVING ALOT BUT THE CAR SPEED DECREASED RAPIDLY. THE CARS BEHIND ME ALMOST REAR ENDED ME AT THIS SPEED. I WAS ON A 4 LANE THRUWAY AND IT WAS DIFFICULT TO PULL TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD TO THE SHOULDER BECAUSE ALL OF THE CARS WERE SPEEDING AROUND ME. QUITE FRANKLY, IT WAS A TERRIFYING SITUATION TO BE IN AS SEMI TRUCKS AND OTHER CARS GOING 70 - 80+ MPH WERE SPEEDING UP BEHIND YOU AS YOUR VEHICLE LOST POWER. I PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND LET THE CAR REST FOR ABOUT 1/2 HOUR THEN STARTED TO DRIVE AGAIN. I DROVE THE NEXT 30 MILES AT APPX 35-40 MPH WITH MY 4 WAY FLASHERS ON. THE CAR DID EVENTUALLY GET BACK TO SPEED AND SEEM TO DRIVE NORMAL. MILEAGE WAS APPX 125,000- 130,000. THIS HAPPENED A SECOND TIME IN MARCH 2019. I DROVE APPX 65 MILES ON COUNTRY ROADS IN A RURAL AREA TO PICK UP MY ELDERLY MOTHER TO TAKE HER TO THE HOSPITAL. THE CAR SUDDENLY LOST POWER. THE RPM'S WERE GOING CRAZY, THE CAR LOST POWER. AFTER ABOUT 20 MINUTES, THE CAR EVENTUALLY GOT BACK TO SPEED AGAIN. I WAS AFRAID TO DRIVE HER TO THE HOSPITAL IN MY CAR AND FORTUNATELY A NEIGHBOR LET ME USE THEIR CAR TO TRANSPORT MY MOM TO THE HOSPITAL. THE NEXT DAY I WENT TO DRIVE MY CAR THE 75 MILES BACK HOME AND IT DROVE OKAY BUT I WAS VERY WORRIED I WOULD NOT MAKE IT HOME. MILEAGE WAS APPX 145,000. THIS HAPPENED A 3RD TIME AUGUST OF 2019 WHILE TRAVELING WB ON THE NYS I-90 THRUWAY. AGAIN, I WAS IN THE PASSING LANE TRAVELING ABOUT 70 MPH WHEN THE RPM'S STARTED GOING CRAZY AND THE CAR LOST POWER. THIS TIME A SEMI TRUCK WAS BEHIND ME AND QUICKLY CLOSING IN ON MY CAR. AGAIN, IT WAS TOUGH TO GET TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD TO GET OUT OF FAST MOVING TRAFFIC. MILEAGE APPX 160,000.

I HAD TO HAVE THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED IN AUGUST. I ORIGINALLY HAD TROUBLES IN MAY (CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE AND I HAD MY FOOT PEDAL ON THE FLOOR TRYING TO ACCELERATE ON THE INTERSTATE (40 MPH BEING PASSED BY SEMIS WITHOUT ANYWHERE SAFE TO PULLOVER) AND BROUGHT MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP WHO TOLD ME THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG. IN AUGUST I HAD SIMILAR PROBLEMS OF NOT BEING ABLE TO ACCELERATE ON THE INTERSTATE AND THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME MY TRANSMISSION WAS TOAST AND I NEEDED ANOTHER ONE. THEY TOLD ME THAT IF I DID NOT INSTALL THE COOLING KIT, IT WOULD HAPPEN AGAIN. I BROUGHT MY CAR TO AAMCO FOR A SECOND OPINION. HE AGREED THAT I NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION AND A COOLING KIT ADDED AS THIS IS COMMON WITH THE NISSAN CVT TRANSMISSION. MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT NEVER CAME ON AND THIS CAR WAS NOT SAFE ON THE ROAD. NISSAN CLEARLY KNOWS THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THEIR TRANSMISSIONS IN THIS MODEL AND ADMIT TO NEEDING AN ADD-ON COOLING KIT TO ADDRESS. IT WAS NEGLIGENT OF THE DEALERSHIP TO LET ME DRIVE OFF OF THE LOT IN MAY. IT IS NOW DECEMBER AND I AM HAVING TROUBLES WITH MY CAR AGAIN. WHEN I FIRST TURN MY CAR ON, IT MAKES A WHINING NOISE WITH PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR. MY MECHANIC BELIEVES THIS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION AND I WILL BE BRINGING MY CAR TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP TO SEE. I ALSO HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMING ON IN AUGUST AND MY CAR MAKING NOISES WITH CHANGING GEARS. I WAS TOLD THIS WAS DUE TO THE MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR. I HAD THEM INSTALL THE COOLER AND THE PROBLEM WENT AWAY. OBVIOUSLY NISSAN KNOWS THERE'S A PROBLEM WITH THEIR CVTS AND THEY DESIGNED A SOLUTION THAT THEY ARE MAKING CUSTOMERS PAY FOR TO HAVE THEIR VEHICLES RETURNED TO A DRIVABLE CONDITION. THE SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER COULD BE A SAFETY PROBLEM IF IT HAPPENED DURING HIGHWAY RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. I'M REQUESTING FOR NISSAN TO ISSUE A RECALL AGAINST FAULTY CVT TRANSMISSIONS AND REPLACE THESE SINCE THESE ARE DANGEROUS ON THE HIGHWAY.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 60 MPH WHEN SUDDENLY THE ACCELERATION DROPPED DOWN TO 10-20 MPH IN TRAFFIC WITH OTHER CARS SPEEDING TOWARD ME. I TRIED TO ACCELERATE BUT COULD NOT -- PUTTING MYSELF AND FELLOW MOTORISTS IN GRAVE DANGER. I COULD BARELY MAKE THE CAR GO 10 TO 20 MPH TO MAKE IT TO AN OFF RAMP TO TRY TO GET TO SAFETY. MY 2012 NISSAN ROGUE TRANSMISSION FAILED. THERE IS A REPEATED HISTORY OF TRANSMISSION FAILURE BY NISSANS INCLUDING THE ROGUE. NISSAN IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND EXTENDED WARRANTY TO COVER SOME YEARS AND MODELS FOR THIS PROBLEM. THEY HAVE NOT COVERED OTHERS YET THERE ARE REPEATED COMPLAINTS. NISSAN IS FULLY AWARE OF THE PROBLEM YET HAS PUT MYSELF AND OTHER MOTORISTS AT RISK. I CALLED THE NEAREST NISSAN REPAIR SERVICE CENTER TO TELL THEM A TOW TRUCK WOULD BE BRINING MY NISSAN THERE. I BARELY STARTED TO EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED AND IMMEDIATELY THE SERVICE CENTER PERSON SAID HE KNEW WHAT IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION AND ASKED FOR MY VIN SO HE COULD SEE IF IT WAS COVERED BY THE EXTRA WARRANTY NISSAN GRANTED SOME MODELS. IT DID NOT. IT WILL COST $5,400 TO REPLACE TRANSMISSION AND COMPLETE REPAIRS WHICH I WILL ASK THE SERVICE CENTER TO COMPLETE. HOWEVER, A RECALL SHOULD BE PLACED ON 2012 NISSAN ROGUES FOR THIS ISSUE. THIS PROBLEM IS PUTTING PEOPLE'S LIVES AT RISK.

I CONTACTED NISSAN TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE AS THEY TOLD ME THAT UNLESS IT SHOWED NEGLECT ON MY BEHALF, THEY WOULD THEY BE WILLING TO HELP. THEY EXPLAINED TO ME TO BRING THE ROGUE TO HE NEAREST DEALERSHIP TO DO A DIAGNOSTICS TEST. WHEN I WENT TO TURN ON THE CAR TO TAKE TO DEALERSHIP, THE CAR WOULD NOT DRIVE. THE CAR WAS ONLY ABLE TO DRIVE IN REVERSE. I HAD TO CALL A TOW TRUCK TO TOW IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. AFTER ABOUT A WEEK OF THE VEHICLE SITTING IN THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP, NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS CONTACTED ME BACK AS THEY MADE A DECISION TO DENY HELPING ME. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE AS THE CAR IS ONLY 6 YEARS OLD. I HAVE RESEARCHED THE HISTORY OF NISSAN ROGUE AND IT SEEMS THAT THEY HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH THIS IN THE PAST. THEY INFORMED ME THAT MY CAR WAS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY AND THE TOTAL EXPENSE WOULD BE MY DUTY. THIS CAR IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. I WAS INFORMED BY NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS TO FILE A COMPLAINT AS TO EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED. I KNOW THAT THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM WITH NISSAN IN THE PAST YEARS. NISSAN SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING THIS CAR IS TO DRIVE AND BUILT TO LAST. NISSAN SHOULD STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT.

THE CAR ADDITIONALLY STRUGGLED TO OBTAIN SPEED WHEN STARTING FROM IDLE, STOPPED AT RED LIGHTS, STOP SIGNS, ETC. AND WOULD JOLT FORWARDED. THE CAR SENT BACK A P0700 CODE FOR TRANSMISSION ISSUES WITH ADDITIONAL CODES FOR SHIFTING ERRORS. AFTER TAKING IT TO TWO MECHANICS AND BEING 2 YEARS OUTSIDE OF THE MODELS WITH EXTENDED 10 YEAR WARRANTIES AND 1 YEAR OUTSIDE OF THE 5 YEAR WARRANTY I HAVE TO PAY 4500.00 FOR A NEW TRANSMISSION OUT OF POCKET. THE CVT PROBLEMS AFTER 2010 MODELS ARE CLEARLY NOT FIX AND THE VEHICLE IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE WITH MYSELF OR MY FAMILY. THE FACT THERE IS NOT AN EXTENDED WARRANTY ON NEWER MODELS OR A RECALL ON THE TRANSMISSIONS IN UNACCEPTABLE. THIS VERY EASILY COULD HAVE ENDED IN AN ACCIDENT OR INJURY.

I OWN A 2012 NISSAN ROGUE. I PURCHASED IT USED IN 2015 WITH APPROXIMATELY 60,000 MILES ON IT. IN ABOUT APRIL OF 2018 I STARTED EXPERIENCING THE CAR NOT ACCELERATING AFTER DRIVING ON THE EXPRESSWAY. I WOULD BE DRIVING 65-75 MPH AND SUDDENLY THE CAR WOULD SLOW DOWN AND NOT ACCELERATE. THIS IS IN HEAVY TRAFFIC MIND YOU. I WOULD PULL OVER AND SIT FOR ABOUT 15-20 MINUTES. AFTER THAT TIME I WOULD RESTART THE CAR AND THE CAR WOULD DRIVE AS IF NOTHING HAPPENED. I WOULD EXPERIENCE THIS EACH TIME I WOULD GET ON THE EXPRESSWAY AFTER DRIVING FOR ABOUT 50-60 MINUTES. I TOOK IT TO MY MECHANIC AND HE TOLD ME THE TRANSMISSION WAS FAILING. I COULD NOT GET ANOTHER CAR DUE TO THE FACT THAT I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF PAYING FOR THIS CAR AND OWE TOO MUCH TO TRADE IT. IN JULY 2018 I DID NOT HAVE TO TRAVEL THE EXPRESSWAY AS MUCH. I THOUGHT THAT I COULD CONTINUE TO DRIVE THE CAR THINKING IF I DIDN'T TRAVEL THAT FAR I MAY BE OK UNTIL I GET THE CAR PAID DOWN SOME MORE. TO MY SURPRISE THAT JUST DID NOT HAPPEN. IN AUGUST 2018 I STARTED HEARING A KNOCKING SOUND AND TOOK IT BACK TO THE MECHANIC TO FIND OUT THAT THE DRIVE SHAFT WAS BAD. SOME OF HIS CUSTOMERS BROUGHT THEIR NISSAN ROGUE'S TO HIM WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM IS VERY EXPENSIVE TO FIX AND A USED PART MAY NOT BE THE ANSWER DUE TO THE FACT THAT ALL OF THE ROGUE'S ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. WELL, AT THIS POINT I AM WITHOUT TRANSPORTATION. THE KNOCKING TURNED INTO A LOUD NOISE COMING FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE CAR, AS IF EVERYTHING UNDERNEATH WAS ON THE VERGE OF FALLING OFF. I CANNOT DRIVE THE CAR AND HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO MY HOME BECAUSE THE MECHANIC CANNOT FIND A SUITABLE USED PART TO REPLACE THE PROBLEM AND I CANNOT AFFORD TO HAVE THE PROBLEM FIXED WITH A NEW PART. SO I ALSO AM PAYING FOR A CAR THAT I CANNOT DRIVE. NISSAN REALLY NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS PROBLEM, AS IT IS A DEFECT FROM THE MANUFACTURER.

ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS WHEN ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE, THE CAR HAS BASICALLY SHUT OFF. ONCE, AFTER GETTING OFF THE RAMP FROM 288 TO HULL STREET, I ATTEMPTED TO ACCELERATE UP A SLIGHT HILL AND THE CAR JUST WOULD NOT GO TO THE POINT WHERE I HAD MY FOOT FLOORED AND NOTHING. I LET OFF, WAS ABLE TO PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHERE IT SHOOK THEN SHUT OFF. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP WHERE THEY WEREN'T ABLE TO FIND ANYTHING WRONG. JUST TODAY, I WAS DRIVING 65 DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND ATTEMPTED TO ACCELERATE JUST TO GET INFRONT OF ANOTHER CAR TO PREPARE FOR THE UPCOMING EXIT AND MID PUSHING DOWN ON THE GAS PEDAL... IT JUST STOPS GOING. I WAS LUCKILY ABLE TO GET INTO THE RIGHT LANE AGAIN AND PULL OVER TO THE CAR SHAKES THEN SHUTS OFF. I LET IT SIT FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES, AND WAS ABLE TO START IT BACK UP AND GO WITHOUT SEEMINGLY WITHOUT A PROBLEM AGAIN. THIS IS MY FAMILY VEHICLE. I AM AFRAID THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO ME ONE DAY IN MAJOR TRAFFIC AND CAUSE AN INCIDENT POSSIBLY HURTING ME, MY FAMILY OR OTHERS. I HAVE READ MANY FORUMS WITH HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE HAVING THIS SAME ISSUE. SOMETHING REALLY NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT IT FROM NISSAN. WARRANTY COVERED IT THE FIRST TIME, JUST ENDED IN JULY AND I AM TOLD THAT NISSAN ONLY COVERS NEW TRANSMISSIONS FOR 1 YEAR OR 12,000 MILES. THIS CAR IS A LEMON. A TRANSMISSION SHOULD NOT GO OUT TWICE IN 100,000 MILES. AN AIRBAG MALFUNCTION SHOULD BE COVERED, THIS IS MY SAFETY.

ALSO THEY SAID CVT COOLING KIT NEEDS TO BE INSTALLED WHICH DIDN'T EXIST IN THE VEHICLE IN THE FIRST PLACE. LOTS OF CVT ISSUES REPORTED FROM NISSAN VEHICLES. IT IS 2012 ROGUE AND 82900 MILES. IT IS TOOL EARLY FOR TRANSMISSION TO FAIL. I THINK THIS IS MAJOR DESIGN DEFECT OR FLAW.

TOTAL COST $4,000 AND HAD TO PAY $130 FOR THIS INFORMATION! THE DEALER INFORMED ME THE DIGITAL READ OUT INDICATED MY ROGUE HAD LOST POWER 36 TIMES! A QUICK INTERNET SEARCH TURNED UP MANY OTHER OWNERS OF NISSANS WITH CVT TRANSMISSIONS HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME ISSUE! NISSAN HAS EXTENDED THE WARRANTY FOR CVT TRANSMISSIONS ON MODELS 2010 AND OLDER BUT REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE ISSUE CONTINUES TO PLAGUE NEWER MODELS AND WILL NOT COVER THE COST OF REPAIRS. THIS IS DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE AND NHTSA NEEDS TO OPEN AN INVESTIGATION. YESTERDAY I WAS ALMOST WIPED OUT WHEN I LOST POWER WHILE TURNING A CORNER. MY CHILDREN WERE IN THE CAR! MULTIPLE REPORTS HAVE BEEN FILED WITH NHTSA WITH NO ACTION. HOW MANY NEED TO LOSE THEIR LIVES BEFORE THIS IS INVESTIGATED AND NISSAN IS HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR FAULTY CVT TRANSMISSIONS?

GEORGE CHARGED MY PURCHASED EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR THE REPLACEMENT. JUNE 6TH, 2017. (1.5 YEARS LATER, 7 MONTHS OUTSIDE OF WARRANTY AND 124,500 MILES) TRAVELING TO GRAND JUNCTION. VEHICLE STARTED MIMICKING SIMILAR ISSUES AS PRIOR, AGAIN WITH THE LOSS OF SPEED. HAD TO REPLACE THE COOLING PORTION OF THE UNIT. THEY UPGRADED IT TO THE "BETTER" VERSION (THE EXTERNAL COOLER) THAT WOULD PREVENT THE TRANSMISSION FROM OVER HEATING. JULY 7TH, 2018. 1 MONTH OUTSIDE OF WARRANTY FOR THE EXTERNAL COOLER AND 136,907 MILES. TRAVELING TO TWIN FALLS. SAME ISSUES START OCCURRING, AGAIN LOSS OF SPEED ON FREEWAY. TOOK TO THE DEALERSHIP ON 7/9 WHERE I WAS ADVISED THAT MY TRANSMISSION HAD WENT INTO FAIL SAFE MODE 111 TIMES. LEADING TO NEED TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION ONCE AGAIN DUE TO THE EXTERNAL COOLER NOT DOING ITS JOB ONCE AGAIN. LOSS OF SPEED ON A FREEWAY IS A SAFETY HAZARD. NISSAN HAS RECALLED OTHER MODELS CVT PROBLEMS, BUT NOT THE ROGUE. PLEASE HELP US OBTAIN THAT RECALL ON ALL ROGUE MODELS REGARDLESS OF MILES. I HAVE CONTACT NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS, I OPENED A CASE WHICH WENT TO REVIEW. THE CAR WOULD ONLY ACCELERATE TO 65 MPH AND WOULD NOT RESET TO NORMAL SPEEDS OR ACCELERATION PATTERNS UNTIL I PULLED OFF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND LET IT COOL DOWN FOR 15-30 MINUTES. THE NISSAN DEALERSHIPS IN FORT COLLINS, COLORADO AND BILLINGS, MONTANA SAID THIS ISSUE AROSE IN SEVERAL NISSAN ROGUES OF DIFFERENT YEARS. NISSAN FIXED 2010 AND EARLIER MODELS ON THEIR DIME, BUT HAVE NOT PAID FOR REPLACING THE TRANSMISSION COOLERS WITH LARGER COOLERS FOR THE 2011 OR LATER MODELS. I WAS TRAVELING 70 MPH ON A HIGHWAY, USING CRUISE, WHEN THE ENGINE STARTED RACING AND THE RPM SURGED. I DISENGAGED THE CRUISE AND THE RPM'S IMMEDIATELY RETURNED TO NORMAL. HOWEVER, AS SOON AS I STEPPED ON THE GAS, THE RPM'S AGAIN SURGED. AFTER THIS HAPPENED THREE OR FOUR TIMES, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT EXCEED 60 MPH. FORTUNATELY, I WAS ABLE TO EXIT THE HIGHWAY WITHIN A SHORT DISTANCE. THERE WAS A TRAFFIC LIGHT AT THE END OF THE EXIT, WHICH WAS RED AND I STOPPED. WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN, MY CAR WOULD NOT INITIALLY ACCELERATE OR MOVE. AFTER A SHORT TIME, THE CAR DID THEN START ACCELERATING AND I WAS ABLE TO ONCE AGAIN DRIVE. I THEN STOPPED AT THE NEAREST PARKING LOT. MY TRAVELING COMPANION PROCEEDED TO FIND AN AUTO SHOP THAT WAS OPEN, AS IT WAS ABOUT 7:00 AT NIGHT. THEY RAN A SCAN AND DETERMINED THERE WAS A FAILURE WITH MY TRANSMISSION. I WAS OVER 50 MILES AWAY FROM HOME, ON MY WAY TO A VACATION RESERVATION. UNFORTUNATELY, I HAD TO RETURN HOME. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR ON BACK ROADS, TRAVELING ABOUT 35-40 MPH. SINCE THAT TIME I HAVE HAD A TRANSMISSION SHOP AND THE NISSAN DEALER ALSO CONFIRM THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE TORQUE CONVERTER AND THE ENTIRE TRANSMISSION WOULD NEED REPLACED. THE CAR HAD A LITTLE OVER 70,000 MILES. I FIND THIS ENTIRELY UNACCEPTABLE FOR A 2012 WITH THAT NUMBER OF MILES. SUBSEQUENT RESEARCH HAS SHOW THAT NISSAN HAS A HISTORY OF PROBLEMS WITH THE CVT TRANSMISSION. I ALSO FOUND MANY, MANY COMPLAINTS ON AN ARRAY OF WEBSITES ABOUT MY PARTICULAR VEHICLE HAVING TRANSMISSION FAILURE AT A VARIETY OF MILES. I ALSO FOUND REPORTS OF THE TRANSMISSION FAILING WHILE TRAVELING AT HIGH RATES OF SPEED. I DID CONTACT NISSAN'S REGIONAL CONSUMER AFFAIRS. AFTER JUMPING THROUGH THEIR HOOPS, I WAS DECLINED ANY "GOOD WILL ASSISTANCE". THIS WAS DUE TO THE CAR'S MILEAGE BEING OVER WARRANTY AND NO PREVIOUSLY DOCUMENTED ISSUES WITH MY PERSONAL VEHICLE'S TRANSMISSION.

I WAS DRIVING IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC, TRAVELING THE SPEED LIMIT (65 MPH) WHEN THE VEHICLE BEGAN DECELERATING. THE VEHICLE'S SPEED DECREASED FROM 65 MPH TO 0 MPH IN LESS THAN TWO MINUTES. I ATTEMPTED TO ACCELERATE AND THE RPM INDICATOR ADVANCED; HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE SPEED DECREASED. WITHOUT ANY WARNING OR PREVIOUS PROBLEM, THE TRANSMISSION SUDDENLY DIED RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSTATE DURING RUSH HOUR. I WAS IN THE CENTER DRIVING LANE AND WAS TRAVELING WITH THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC. THANKFULLY, I WAS ABLE TO MANEUVER THE VEHICLE OUT OF THE TRAFFIC ONTO THE SIDE OF THE INTERSTATE, WHERE I WAS STRANDED FOR 2.5 HOURS. SINCE MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN DISABLED, I HAVE CONDUCTED RESEARCH ON OTHER NISSAN VEHICLES WITH CVT TRANSMISSIONS THAT HAVE HAD SIMILAR PROBLEMS. THERE ARE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME ISSUES WITH NISSAN CVT TRANSMISSIONS. MOREOVER, NISSAN HAS HAD SIMILAR ISSUES WITH THE CVT TRANSMISSION FOR OVER A DECADE. DESPITE GOVERNMENTAL OVERSIGHT AND THE COMPANY HAVING TO CORRECT DEFECTS, NISSAN CONTINUES TO MANUFACTURE THESE DANGEROUS VEHICLES. LIFE AND SAFETY SHOULD BE A PRIORITY FOR INNOCENT BUYERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC. MY LOCAL NISSAN LEADERSHIP HAS DIAGNOSED AND CONFIRMED MY VEHICLE'S PROBLEM AND CONCLUDED THAT THE CVT TRANSMISSION MUST BE REPLACED. AFTER 20 MINS I RESTARTED THE CAR PUT IT IN GEAR AND DRIVE AT 60 MILES UNTIL I GOT HOME WHICH WAS 94 MILES. BY THE TIME I GOT HOME THE CAR WAS MAKING THIS STRANGE NOISE. IT SOUND AS IF THE ENGINE WAS ABOUT TO FALL OUT OF THE CAR.

THE CAR WOULD NOT REACT TO STEPPING ON THE GAS. IT WAS A DANGEROUS SITUATION IN HEAVY TRAFFIC, SO SHE PULLED TO SIDE OF THE ROAD. WHEN TRYING TO TAKE OFF AGAIN, IT JUST REVVED AS THOUGH IN NEUTRAL. SHE TURNED THE CAR OFF. AFTER TURNING THE CAR BACK ON, SHE WAS ABLE TO ACCELERATE VERY SLOWLY. REVVING SOUND CONTINUED THROUGHOUT ACCELERATION. SHE WAS ABLE TO GET TO HER DESTINATION. THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO LITHIA NISSAN IN EUGENE, OR ON APRIL 3, 2018. WE LIVE 108 MILES FROM THE DEALERSHIP. AS OF TODAY, APRIL 18, 2018, THE CAR IS STILL THERE! THE CVT PROBLEM WAS RECREATED AT NISSAN AND WE WERE TOLD A NEW TRANSMISSION WAS REQUIRED AT A COST OF $3000. THE WARRANTY ENDED AT 60K AND THE CAR HAS JUST UNDER 65K. I FILED A CASE WITH NISSAN USA. FOR SOME REASON THE DEALERSHIP DID NOT CAPTURE THE PROOF OF FAILURE INFORMATION. NISSAN USA THEN REQUIRED THE DEALERSHIP TO PROVIDE A "VIDEO" OF THE PROBLEM OCCURRING. BECAUSE THE DEALERSHIP HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO CAPTURE THE CVT ISSUE ON VIDEO, NISSAN USA CLOSED THE CASE. I ASKED THEM NOT TO CLOSE THE CASE UNTIL THERE WAS A RESOLUTION. THEY TOLD ME WITHOUT THE VIDEO FOR REVIEW, THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING. THEY TOLD ME TO PAY THE $3000 FOR THE REPLACEMENT, OR CONTINUE TO DRIVE THE CAR UNTIL IT HAPPENS AGAIN, AND GET IT INTO A DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY SO THEY DOCUMENT THE PROBLEM WHILE IT'S HAPPENING! I TOLD THEM IT'S UNACCEPTABLE TO REQUIRE MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER TO DRIVE A CAR WE KNOW IS GOING TO FAIL, BUT CAN'T DETERMINE WHEN OR WHERE. THAT'S PUTTING HER IN DANGER. NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS OPENED A CASE, HAD ME PAY TO TOW THE CAR TO THEIR DEALER, PAY FOR A DIAGNOSIS, CONFIRMED THE TRANSMISSION FAILED, THEN DENIED THE CLAIM BASED ON MILEAGE WHICH I PROVIDED TO THEM UP FRONT. THE $265 TOWING AND DIAGNOSIS FEE SHOULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED ENTIRELY.

IT WILL GO FROM 70 MPH TO ABOUT 50 MPH WITH THE PEDAL TO THE FLOOR AND WILL CONTINUE TO GO SLOWER UNTIL LEVEL GROUND IS DRIVEN ON. ALSO, WHEN LEAVING THE HIGHWAY AFTER THIS HAS OCCURRED, AFTER A COMPLETE STOP, THE CAR WILL NOT MOVE AT ALL WITH ACCELERATION. THE CAR JUST SITS THERE LIKE YOU HAVEN'T EVEN TOUCHED THE GAS. WHEN IT DOES MOVE AFTER A MINUTE OR TWO, IT GOES ABOUT 1 MILE AN HOUR AND IF YOU ARE PULLING INTO AN INTERSECTION WITH OTHER CARS COMING, THAT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES. I WANT TO GET THIS FIXED BY NISSAN ASAP AS OUR ROGUE HAS 97K MILES AND HAS BEEN DOING THIS SINCE 60K BUT THE 2012S AREN'T INCLUDED. MY LAWYER IS WORKING CLOSING ON THIS MATTER AS WELL. THEY SAID MY ONLY OPTION WOULD BE TO HAVE THE CVT REPLACED. THEY SAID I WOULD BE PUTTING MYSELF AND OTHERS AT RISK OF INJURY IF I CONTINUED TO TRY AND DRIVE IT IN THIS CONDITION. THE VEHICLE HAD NO PRIOR ISSUES/WARNING SIGNS PRIOR TO THIS FAILURE. I STRONGLY BELIEVE NISSAN SHOULD REPLACE MY CVT AT THEIR EXPENSE.

WE ASKED IF IT COULD BE REBUILT AND THE DEALERSHIP SAID IT HAS TO BE REPLACED WITH A RE MANUFACTURED UNIT. THEY CANNOT REBUILD THE TRANSMISSION. WE CONTACTED NISSAN TO OPEN A CASE AND THEY SAID THEY WILL NOT HELP IN THE COST OF A RE MANUFACTURED UNIT OR THE LABOR COST. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH NISSAN AND PREVIOUS MODEL YEARS HAVE HAD THE WARRANTY EXTENDED TO COVER THE COSTS. AFTER RESEARCHING, I SAW WHERE NISSAN HAD REIMBURSED PEOPLE FOR TRANSMISSIONS AND EXTENDED POWERTRAIN WARRANTY TO 10 YEARS/120,000 MILES. IT HAS A CVT TRANSMISSION. IT ALSO STARTS TO LOOSE POWER IF YOU CONTINUE TO DRIVE IT. IF YOU PARK AND LET THE TRUCK SIT FOR A FEW MINUTES THE WHINING STOPS. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER TODAY AND THEY SAY THEY CANNOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I ALSO HAD A 2010 NISSAN ROGUE WHICH DID THE VERY SAME THING AT ALMOST THE SAME MILEAGE. NISSAN DID REPLACE THE CVT TRANSMISSION ON THAT ONE.

JUST BOUGHT THE CAR @ 33,000 MILES. NOTICED ALMOST IMEDIATELY THAT THERE WAS SOME WHINING AND SQUEALING FROM THE TRANSMISSION AT VARIOUS TIMES AND SPEED (BOTH ON CITY STREETS AT LOWER MPH AND ON HIGHWAYS) IT WOULD STOP WHEN I DEPRESSED THE EXCELLERATOR. IT WASN'T CONSTANT AND I COULDN'T PIN POINT WHEN IT WAS ACCURING BUT IT HAPPENED ENOUGH. READ ALL SORTS OF THINGS AND SIMIALR STORIES WITH THESE NISSAN CVT TRANSMISSIONS, SO I CALLED THE DEALER (CARMAX) AND THEY SET UP AN APPOINTMENT AND TOOK IT IN. THEIR GUYS AGREED ADND SEND IT TO A LOCAL NISSAN DEALER AS IT'S UNDER WARRANTY, THE LOCAL NISSAN DEALER IS TRYING TO SAY IT MIGHT BE THE WHEEL BEARINGS. I'M BESIDE MYSELF AND THE CARMAX SERVICE PEOPLE ARE FIGHTING FOR ME AS THEY AGREE WITH ME. MY RESEARCH SHOWS NUMEROUS ISSUES WITH THIS EXACT PROBLEM OVER SEVERAL NISSAN CVT TRANSMISSIONS ON NUMEROUS MAKES OF VEHICLES.

HAD THE CRUISE SET AT 75 MPH STARTED GOING UP A SLIGHT GRADE AND THE CRUISE KICKED OFF SO I APPLIED GAS TO THE POINT I HAD THE PEDDLE TO THE FLOOR AND STILL LOSING SPEED, SLOWED TO 55 MPH UNTIL I CRESTED THE HILL AND GAINED SPEED FOR THE NEXT HILL AND AGAIN SLOWED TO 60 MPH AND THEN GAINED SPEED AGAIN ON THE FLAT PARTS. I MADE IT TO MY EXIT, STOPPED, PUT IT IN PARK, THEN IN DRIVE, THE PROBLEM WENT AWAY BUT FOR HOW LONG, IS THIS THE BEGINNING OF THE END? THERE IS 86,000 MILES ON IT AND THE MORE I RESEARCH IT THE MORE IRRITATED I GET, IT IS DOING THE SAME THING ALL THE OTHER ONE'S ON YOUTUBE VIDEO'S FROM 2008 TO 2010. WHILE PULLING OUT ON A 4 LANE HIGHWAY, MY TRANSMISSION STALLED, AND I WAS UNABLE TO ACCELERATE MY VEHICLE, CAUSING ME TO ALMOST BE REAR ENDED BY A LOGGING TRUCK GOING 65MPH OR MORE. THE RPM'S OF THE VEHICLE WILL JUMP TO OVER 5000 WHILE TRYING TO PUSH ON THE GAS WITHOUT ACCELERATION. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH NISSAN TO HAVE DIAGNOSTIC TESTING DONE. THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE CVT TRANSMISSION IS THE PROBLEM AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, COSTING $5,000. THEY INFORMED ME THAT I NEEDED ANOTHER PART (SOME KIND OF TRANSMISSION COOLER) TO KEEP THE TRANSMISSION FROM OVERHEATING, WHICH WAS NEVER COMMUNICATED TO ME THROUGHOUT MY OWNERSHIP. AFTER DOING RESEARCH, I DISCOVERED THAT IN 2010, NISSAN EXTENDED THEIR WARRANTY TO 5 YEARS/120,000 MILES DUE THIS CVT PROBLEM. I HAVE SPOKEN TO THE SERVICE ADVISOR AT THE DEALERSHIP WHO STATED THAT WARRANTY IS FOR MODEL YEAR 2010 AND OLDER AND THIS IS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE. HOWEVER, I BEG TO DIFFER. ATTEMPTING TO PULL OUT INTO MOVING TRAFFIC, CROSSING INTERSECTIONS, AND CARS STALLING OUT IN THE WINTER IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE AND COULD CAUSE SERIOUS CAR ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS. I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO CONTACT NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS OFFICE WITHOUT ANY RESPONSE. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS ISSUE BE INVESTIGATED AND CONSIDERED FOR A RECALL.
THE POWER TRAIN FAILED TO PROVIDE POWER TO THE VEHICLE ON THE INTERSTATE, I HAD TO SLOW DOWN ALMOST UNCONTROLLABLE TIL POWER CAME BACK WHEN I SHIFTED IT TO NEUTRAL, THEN BACK TO DRIVE. I RESEARCHED THIS PROBLEM WITH NISSAN AND FOUND THAT THE CVT TRANSMISSION THEY PUT IN THE VEHICLE WAS HAVING ISSUES WITH THIS AND NO RECALL WAS MADE. THEY ASSERTED THAT MY WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED AND NOTHING COULD BE DONE. THIS TELLS ME THAT THEY ONLY MAKE A CAR THAT LAST 85K MILES THEN YOU HAVE TO REPLACE A MAIN PART OF THE VEHICLE. I FEEL THIS WAS ALSO UNSAFE ON THE ROAD DUE TO IT LOSING POWER DUE TO POOR QUALITY OF PARTS. MY VEHICLE IS ONLY JUST HITTING 3 YEARS OLD. I DID HOWEVER MADE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP I BOUGHT IT AND HAVING TO PAY FOR A USED TRANSMISSION TO BE PUT IN.

IT WAS IN THE SUMMER SO IT WAS VERY HOT IN CALIFORNIA. WHEN YOU ON THE FREEWAY WITH TWO BABIES THE LAST THING YOU WANT IS YOUR CAR SLOWING DOWN TO 25 MPH. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID IT NEEDS A TRANSMISSION COOLER. IT TOOL 3 MONTHS FOR THEM TO GET THE PART. THEY INSTALLED IT IN THE WINTER AND OF COURSE IT IS NOT HOT ANYMORE. THIS SUMMER WE DROVE OUT TO ARIZONA DURING A RECORD HIGH HEAT WAVE AND ONCE AGAIN THIS TIME DRIVING 75 MPH WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ON, IT DISENGAGED AND I PRESSED THE ACCELERATOR DOWN AND THE CAR SLOW TO 60MPH ON FLAT GROUND. THEN ON A SLIGHT INCLINE THE VEHICLE SLOWED DOWN TO 45MPH IN A 70MPH ZONE. OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DESERT WITH MY FAMILY. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR A CAR THAT WAS SUPPOSEDLY FIXED. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THE TRANSMISSION NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. SO I CALLED NISSAN AND THEY SAID SORRY WE CANNOT HELP YOU. THEY DO NOT EVEN OWN UP TO A MANUFACTURER DEFECT. DO NOT BUY THIS CAR! NISSAN ROGUE 2012 TEST DRIVE THEM IN THE HOTTEST PART OF THE SUMMER AND I WOULD RECOMMEND TO DRIVE IT UPHILL DURING THIS TIME.

WHILE DRIVING AT 30 MPH AND ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE THE THROTTLE WENT TO THE FLOOR WITH NO RESPONSE FROM THE RPM'S OR VEHICLE SPEED. POWER SERSUMED AFTER ABOUT 5-10 SECONDS. ADDITIONALLY WHEN STARTING FROM A RED LIGHT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT RESPOND FROM THE THROTTLE BEING DEPRESSED AND WOULD ONLY MOVE AT ABOUT 5 MPH FOR 5-10 SECONDS THEN POWER WOULD RESUME. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES IN 2 WEEK PERIOD. FIRST SERVICE VISIT THEY DUPLICTED THE CONDITION AND REPLACES BRAKE PEDAL SENSOR. AFTER THREE DAYS ISSUE RETURNED. SECOND VISIT THE ADJUSTED BRAKE SENSOR. NOW HAVE CAR BACK AND WILL SEE IF ISSUE IS RESOLVED. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
