My car was parked in my driveway without being used for almost a day and caught on fire. The fire started in the driver side where the harness supposedly got changed and went up. Thank God the fire department got there when they did my car would have exploded into my house and neighbors house. When calling nissan to aware of problem they took zero accountability. My car had zero issues I took it regularly to get checked and things replaced. So sadden to have lost my car all of a sudden. There was times that my car would turn off for a second and turn back on. Definitely had an electrical shortage which was not fixed by the original recall.
Request for Recall Coverage – 2013 Nissan Rogue Select Airbag Issue Dear Sir, I am the original owner of a 2013 Nissan Rogue Select. Recently, I became aware of a recall issued by Nissan North America for certain 2013–2014 Rogue Select vehicles due to an electrical short in the harness connector. This issue is caused by snow/water and salt seeping through the driver's side floor carpet, resulting in the flickering of the driver-side airbag warning light. My vehicle is experiencing the exact symptoms described in the recall notice. However, when I contacted both the Nissan dealership and Nissan North America, I was informed that my vehicle is not included in the affected recall list—even though it is the same model and year, and shows the exact defect identified in the recall. As a senior citizen, I am deeply concerned about the functionality of the airbag system in my vehicle. I rely on the safety features of my car, and I hope that, if ever needed, the airbag would deploy as intended. I respectfully hope that Nissan reevaluates my case and includes my vehicle in the recall repair program, as the issue clearly aligns with the known defect. I was driving down interstate 40 at 75 miles an hour and my car just quit in traffic. Luckily I was able to pull over to the side of the road and set for about 10 minutes and my car started back up and I made it about 30 more miles and it quit again and I waited 10 minutes and it starts up again. That’s very dangerous in traffic.
I have a 2013 Nissan Rouge. If the car is outside, every time it rains, it floods the driver's side. Which eventually resulted in some electrical malfunction and the driver's side airbag malfunction light. Last year, I noticed that I kept the car outside and not in the garage. I found there is a recall on that. The same issue. But when I called Nissan, they told me that my particular car was not included in that recall. Even when the issue is the same? My 2013 Nissan rogue that we purchased in November keeps going into limp mode. It has happened several times. We’ve taken it to different shops and they all say it has a defective CVT transmission. It does not pull any codes and does not show that it’s overheating. It does make it dangerous for us and other cars on the road since it will happen on the freeway or as we are making a turn. We have been put in danger several times now. I can find several other years with the recall already. This problem is extremely dangerous when it all of a sudden doesn’t want to go or reduces speeds.
Unknown what failed but my car was set on fire today. Whole dash was completely burnt.
#1 I have been completely affected by the KNOWN defect in the Nissan transmissions with the first instance being my on the interstate, 4 hours from home with my child only, and we lost power while driving the interstate. The losing power issue has happened multiple times over the last 5 years and all that I can find online is that Nissan is aware and owners can buy something and have it added to the transmission....if we purchased the vehicle I think Nissan should at least be responsible for the issues with something that they are aware is an issue with the products they sell. I am now putting oil in the car every few weeks because of a leak that there is no explanation of how it happened and will cost a fortune to fix; and most recently I came out of work and when I went to get in my car the handle came off in my hand. I've researched and apparently this too is an issue with Nissan Rogues......Everytime I search for a recall there is nothing for the 2013 Rogue but there are for the ones years prior and after??? Whoever thinks that the perfect line came out in 2013 needs reevaluate their information!!!!

While driving, alarm on car just started horn blowing and all hazzard lights began to flash. This happened on a second occasion that after parking car, the alarms and lights went off when door was opened to get out. The third occurrence lights and horn began blowing while parked. Was unable to get it to stop Drove it home with all horns and lights flashing. On the first occurrence the sudden blowing, non stop of horn and all hazard lights flashing startled me, the driver, and I frantically searched for a place to pull over It took over 15 minutes before it stopped flashing and blowing. Each episode was sudden and unexpected. No buttons keys etc had been touched during these episodes, except the opening of the door during 1 previously mentioned time. I do not know if it is an electrical issue or component issue. But car definitely is being taken to the shop, which leaves me hunting transportation until something can be figured out. I had a disabled individual in the care with me that caused a fear and anxiety with him. He was riding in the back seat.
This car went on fire after being parked for over 5 hours.
The car driver side window door leaks water into the driver side floor near where the legs go. The floor is always wet has Mold on it. Mirror above driver side has mold on it. Seatbelts throughout the car have accumulated mold on them. Behind the driver side that rug is wet soaked as well. The water has traveled to the left side of the vehicle is now getting moist. The trunk never shuts there’s an electrical issue with the wiring. As I drive the trunk opens and shuts not completely but unlatches allowing the trunk to swing open. The electrical issue with the trunk has drained my battery several times. The notification of the door door being open is constantly draining my battery. I have been stranded several times due to this electrical issue. As I drive the steering wheel tilt to the right I cannot control my steering. My steering wheel now looks like it’s out of place it’s like if I try to drive straight the car will go slight right. I have three toddlers who I need to drive to daycare in order to go to work to provide for my family. I do not feel safe driving this car. I went to a Nissan dealership informed them of all these issues in my concerns that I did not feel safe driving this car and they said there was nothing I could do about it unless I paid for the fix. As a consumer defect I do not feel I should be responsible for the manufacture errors

I was driving home and smelled burning rubber or plastic coming from my vent while my heat was on. The smell got stronger and stronger. I turn the heat off and only smelled it a little. I parked my vehicle and I am now in search of a mechanic.
My 2013 Rogue is having electrical issues and power transmission problems.
Recalls for model years of 2014-2016 as well as 2013 sentras due to passenger air bag sensor malfunction. Recall states the the sensor doesn’t detect when passenger is in seat and will not deploy in event of accident. Drive a 2013 rogue sv with same exact issue as described in recall for other vehicles but 2013 model year not included in recall when this is a prevelant issue with Nissan among many makes and models and for many years. Very hazardous to have a passenger in vehicle and air bags keep saying they are turned off. Big safety issue and don’t understand how Nissan is not including 2013 rogue in airbag recall when It has the same exact issue that is stated in recall but instead of fixing their major safety defect that could put many children , adults , elderly in a deadly situation. They decide to not include rogue from 2013 and instead are trying to charge over 1000 to replace the seat to fix their sensor defect. Please investigate as I’m certain there are many other rogue with the same issue as what has been diagnosed by Nissan was this exact problem they recalled for other model years and are fixing but yet want to charge when this is a dangerous known issue from Nissan across several makes and model years as well as generations
Our 2013 Nissan Rogue seatbelt light flashes for no apparent reason. This seems to be a problem that has never been resolved by the manufacturer. It also seems that it is a well documented situation. Nissan should be made to research and give a definite fix without the customer suffering trial and error repairs.
DRIVER'S DOOR WILL NOT UNLOCK AT ALL. IT WILL NOT UNLOCK MANUALLY WITH THE KEY NOR WILL IT UNLOCK BY PRESSING THE INSIDE UNLOCK BUTTON ON DRIVERS DOOR. ALL OTHER DOORS WILL UNLOCK. IF INVOLVED IN ACCIDENT OR NEED EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE I WILL BE TRAPPED INSIDE THE VEHICLE.

IT'S IS CRAZY THAT A DEALERSHIP WOULD SELL THIS VEHICLE TO A CUSTOMER. THERE'S EVEN THIS THUDDERING NOISE. THINGS HAVE BEEN FIXED AND SOMETHING ELSE WENT WRONG. IT'S BEEN NON STOP REPAIRS SINCE DAY ONE. IT ALSO SEEMS THAT 2013 NISSAN ROGUES AND HAD MANY MANUFACTURER PROBLEMS AND ISSUES. I BROUGHT TO NISSAN DEALERSHIP TODAY AND REPORT NO RECALLS (WHICH I KNOW IS INCORRECT) AS ALSO 500,000 VEHICLES ARE AFFECTED. IF NISSAN DOES NOT PAY TO FIX THESE OBVIOUS CVT TRANSMISSION DEFECTS, I WILL NEVER PURCHASE OR RECOMMEND ANYONE WASTE A PENNY ON THIS BS COMPANY. NEVER AGAIN! I WAS MADE AWARE THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ISSUED BACK ON FEBRUARY 25, 2015. RECALL ID: 228072 CAMPAIN #: 15V032000. I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED OF THIS RECALL CONCERNING MY VEHICLE. OVER THE PAST FEW MONTHS, I'VE NOTICED MOISTURE ON THE FLOOR BOARDS IN THE FRONT OF MY VEHICLE. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE USED BACK IN DECEMBER OF 2015.

I DID A RESEARCH ON THE 2013 NISSAN ROGUE. 2YRS AGO ON THE SAME TRUCK.WELL ANYWAY I DIDN'T THINK I WOULD HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH MY TRUCK UNTIL NOW. THE TRANSMISSION HAS NOW FAILED IN MY TRUCK. ITS HAS STALLED ON ME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET AND HIGHWAY WHICH IS A DANGER TO ME AND OTHER CARS ON THE STREET. THE ELECTRICAL IN THE TRUCK WHEN TRYING TO DRIVE OVER THE SPEED LIMIT OR NOT THE TRUCK WILL START TO OVERHEAT AND SHUT DOWN ON ME IN THE STREET. I WAS ACCELERATING TO MERGE ONTO AN EXPRESSWAY TODAY, AND MY ACCELERATION CUT OUT IN MY VEHICLE. MY VEHICLE LOST ALL ACCELERATION AND COASTED TO IDLE SPEED. I WAS LUCKILY ABLE TO MOVE OFF THE EXPRESSWAY AT IDLE SPEED, BUT I MAY HAVE NOT BEEN SO LUCKY IN ANOTHER SCENARIO. I ALSO NOTICED THAT MY BRAKE LIGHTS STAY ON SOMETIMES WHEN THE CAR IS OFF OR THE PEDAL IS NOT PRESSED. THE CAR SEEMS TO THINK THE BRAKES ARE ENGAGED AND WILL NOT ALLOW ANY ACCELERATION. I FOUND THIS TSB FOR MY VEHICLE THAT DESCRIBES THE EXACT ISSUE I AM FACING. HOWEVER, THE TSB IS INACCURATE. IT STATES THERE IS "LOW POWER" WHEN ACCELERATING. THERE IS ACTUALLY "NO POWER." THE CAR DOES NOT ACCELERATE AT ALL WHEN THIS ISSUE IS ENCOUNTERED BUT WILL COAST TO IDLE SPEED. THIS ISSUE PUTS THE DRIVER'S LIFE AT RISK, AS WELL AS OTHERS ON THE ROAD, AND SHOULD RESULT IN A FULL RECALL BEFORE PEOPLE DIE. CAR WON'T TURN ON RANDOMLY. WE HAVE REPLACED THE BATTERY FIVE TIMES. EACH TIME THE CAR RANDOMLY STOPS WORKING EVERY FEW THOUSAND MILES. THE CAR WILL TAKE TEN OR ELEVEN TRIES TO START. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. IF FOR ANY REASON WE EVER NEEDED TO LEAVE THE CAR CANNOT START QUICKLY. THE NEXT DAY WE WENT OUT TO CHECK ONTO THE CAR AND IT STARTED RIGHT UP WITH NO BURNING SMELL BUT MY "CHECK ENGINE" AND "ABS" LIGHTS STAYED ON. I HAD TO CONTACT NISSAN CORPORATION TWICE JUST TO GET SOMEONE TO RETURN MY CALLS. I HAD TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH MY NYS ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE TO GET NISSAN'S ATTENTION ONLY TO RECEIVE A LETTER TELLING MY MY PARTICULAR VEHICLE WAS NOT UNDER RECALL AND THEY WOULDN'T HELP. HOW CAN AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM WHEN SOMETHING OBVIOUSLY BURNED NOT BE THEIR RESPONSIBILITY? I HAVE HAD MY CAR REGULARLY SERVICED AT MY LOCAL NISSAN DEALER AND HAVE LESS THAN 60000 MILES. BEGINNING IN NOVEMBER OF 2017, ACCELERATION BEGAN TO HAVE ISSUES. WHEN ACCELERATING, THE CAR WOULD DRAG AND HESITATE BEFORE FULLY DROPPING INTO GEAR. ALL OTHER COMPONENTS WORKED FINE. I WOULD ALLOW THE CAR TO HEAT UP 10-15 MINUTES IN THE MORNING AND THAT DID NOT HELP. SHORTLY AFTER, EACH TIME I STEP ON THE GAS, THE ENGINE REVS TREMENDOUSLY DESPITE THE SLIGHTEST ACCELERATION. THE PIN WILL NOT MOVE THEN MOVE QUICKLY CAUSING A GRINDING/BUZZING SOUND BETWEEN 2K & 3K BEFORE FEELING LIKE IT DROPS I TOM GEAR, EVEN AT 15-25MPH. THIS PROBLEM CONTINUES, BUT THE CAUSE CAN NO TO BE DIAGNOSED. IN JANUARY OF 2018, THE WARNING LIGHTS ON THE DASHBOARD CAME ON AND THE CAR LOST ACCELERATION. UPON TAKING IT TO THE MECHANIC, I WAS TOLD EVERYTHING TESTED FINE, THE SOFTWARE SIMPLY NEEDED TO BE RESET. AFTER RESETTING, THE LIGHT HAS NOT RETURNED, BUT THE ACCELERATION ISSUE HAS NOT CHANGED. IN MARCH OF 2018 AFTER EXPERIENCING ANOTHER ABRUPT SLOW-DOWN ON A SIDE STREET, I PARKED THE CAR AND SMELLED A BURNING OF SOME TYPE OF FLUID UPON GETTING OUT OF THE CAR. ONCE THE INITIAL SMELL DISPERSED, NO SIGN OF DAMAGE, LEAKING, OR OTHER ISSUE WAS PRESENT. IN APRIL OF 2018, NO FURTHER ACCELERATION ISSUES HAVE OCCURRED, BUT THE WARNING LIGHTS AGAIN CAME ON. AGAIN, NOTHING WAS DIAGNOSED, IT WAS SAID THERE WAS SOME TYPE OF SOFTWARE ISSUE AND SIMPLY NEEDED TO BE RESET AGAIN. SHORTLY AFTER, THE AC UNIT COMPLETELY STOPPED WORKING. I TURNED OFF THE CAR, RESTARTED AND THE SYSTEM CAME BACK ON, BUT NO MATTER WHAT BLOWS OUT HOT AIR WHICH IS HOTTER OFTEN THAN IF THE HEAT IS TURNED ON FULL BLAST. THE CAR HAS BEEN WELL MAINTAINED AND UNDERGONE REGULARLY SCHEDULE MAINTENANCE AND HAS 84K MILES. MY MECHANIC RAN THE VIN AND THERE'S WERE NO OPEN RECALLS, HOWEVER, THE CAR WAS JUST DIAGNOSED WITH AN 'ELECTRICAL ISSUE.'

LIFT GATE RUSTED AROUND THE EMBLEMS AND TAIL LIGHTS WITHIN ONE YEAR - THEY REPLACED IT. LESS THAN 8 MONTHS LATER IT STARTED RUSTING AGAIN - THEY REPLACED IT. IS NOW RUSTING AGAIN AND THEY WILL NOT DO ANYTHING. BLOWS HEAT THROUGH THE VENTS WHEN ALL CONTROLS ARE OFF AND TEMPERATURE IS SET TO THE COOLEST SETTING. LATEST ISSUE IS I WAS DRIVING MY KIDS HOME AT NIGHT AND WHEN I TRIED TO ACCELERATE FROM A STOP LIGHT THE VEHICLE ONLY MOVED SLOWLY AT THE RPM WENT ABOVE 4,000 ALMOST CAUSING ME TO GET REAR ENDED. EVENTUALLY I COULD GET TO 50 MPH BUT ANYTHING OVER THAT AND THE RPM'S WOULD RACE OVER 4,000. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND AM BEING TOLD THE TRANSMISSION IS SHOT AND IT WILL COST $3,500 AND I ONLY HAVE 95,000 MILES ON IT!

ON JANUARY 23, 2015 THERE WAS A RECALL OF MY VEHICLE. I WAS NOT NOTIFIED BY MY DEALER OF THE RECALL. I JUST SAW IT TODAY WHEN CHECKING MY CREDIT KARMA ACCOUNT. MY NISSAN DEALERSHIP SHOULD HAVE INSPECTED THE KICK PANEL WIRING HARNESS CONNECTOR ON MY CAR FOR DAMAGE. IF NO DAMAGE WAS DETECTED, MY VEHICLE WAS SUPPOSED TO RECEIVE A WATERPROOF SEAL FOR THE HARNESS. IF DAMAGE WAS FOUND, THE DEALER WAS TO INSTALL A NEW HARNESS CONNECTOR AND THE WATERPROOF SEAL.

OUT OF NO WHERE MY DRIVER DOOR STOPPED RESPONDING TO THE BUTTON ON THE KEY OR OPEN SWITCH INSIDE. IN ORDER TO PROPERLY LOCK OR UNLOCK MY CAR I MUST MANUALLY INSERT THE KEY . THIS HAPPENED OUT OF NO WHERE. AT FIRST I THOUGH THE BATTER DIED ON THE KEY SO I REPLACED IT AND NOTHING.

PER NHTSA RECALL 15V-032: WE TOOK OUR VEHICLE IN TO OUR NISSAN DEALER - CONTINENTAL NISSAN, ANCHORAGE, ALASKA TO HAVE THIS RECALL ADDRESSED. THIS WAS DONE LAST MONTH. AT THAT TIME THEY SAID THEY DID NOT HAVE THE WATERPROOF SEAL REQUIRED TO FIX AN UNDAMAGED PIECE, NOR HARNESSES TO FIX A PROBLEM PIECE. AT THAT TIME, THEY SAID THEY "CHECKED IT OUT" BUT WOULD CALL US BACK AS SOON AS PARTS ARRIVED. THEY HAVE OUR INFORMATION, BUT IN OVER FOUR WEEKS HAVE YET TO CONTACT US.
