What component failed: The CVT on our 2015 Nissan Rogue failed while in operation. The vehicle is now inoperable. In 12/2024, at 84,000 miles, we brought the car to a Nissan dealership due to stalling and hesitation. The service record noted: “Felt trans judder during a slow turn,” which matches early CVT failure symptoms outlined in Nissan Technical Service bulletin SB‑10075090‑5448. Despite this, the issue was not flagged, and a transmission flush was performed as a precaution. Safety risk: The failure occurred while my 17‑year‑old daughter was driving on the expressway. The vehicle suddenly lost power in ACTIVE TRAFFIC and she had to coast to the shoulder. This placed her life, and other drivers around her, at risk of a rear‑end collision at highway speed. Sudden loss of propulsion in high‑speed traffic is a serious safety hazard. Importantly, this CVT issue has been and is the subject of multiple Technical Service Bulletins. Older vehicles like ours are commonly passed down to first-time drivers, especially teenagers. By refusing to address known transmission defects in these vehicles past arbitrary warranty thresholds, Nissan is knowingly putting thousands of young drivers at daily risk. Has the problem been reproduced / confirmed by dealer: The same drivability symptoms were reported to and documented by a Nissan dealership in December 2024 at 84,000 miles. They performed a transmission flush and stated the vehicle was fine. Less than 5,000 miles later, the CVT failed completely. Has the vehicle been inspected by others: The vehicle has been inspected by a Nissan dealership (12/2024). Nissan Consumer Affairs was contacted several times, but no remedy or goodwill inspection has been offered. Were there warning symptoms before failure: Yes. Stalling / hesitation while driving had been occurring the entire time prior to failure. The Nissan dealership documented “trans judder” in December 2024, which matches Nissan’s own TSB language for CVT failure symptoms.
It has a CVT transmission and when you try to accelerate quickly, it box down it does not go every now and then when it tries to change gears it shimmy it gives a humping sensation
The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while attempting to accelerate from a complete stop, the vehicle failed to respond, almost causing the contact to be rear-ended by other vehicles. The contact stated that the vehicle responded as needed after depressing the accelerator pedal several times. The transmission warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that a handheld scanner was used and diagnostic trouble code: P0187 was retrieved. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was then taken to a transmission specialist, where an estimated fee for the repair was provided, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 153,000.

cvt transmission slips and will not move the vehicle when it is hot or in stop and go traffic.
I have 2015 Nissan Rouge Select for almost 9 year and I haven’t get in any accident with this car . But my air bag light keep turn off twice within a year . Last year it happened on driver side , I replaced it at dealership and the same issue happened just 10 months later . The passenger air bag is off this time . But the dealership said the reason that I can’t accept it. First the mechanic guy told me that the car is old and the way how we drive with the shaking on the road affect airbag wire and sensor . That’s unacceptable because we have an older car than this 2015 Nissan but it never have air bag problem . While we talk with their supervisor to see if there is any recall we miss and what cause the airbag keep going off , he said one thing made me could not believe that the manufacturer would not test the air bag before selling . Is it mean that i bought this Nissan car and I put my self and my family safety under risk while we are on the road ? …...and recently the car transmission failed….
The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed with the cruise control activated; however, the vehicle independently switched to normal drive mode. The accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with a failed torque converter. The contact was informed that the torque converter needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
Car stalled and Shuddering while driving on the freeway, sudden loss of power. Engine started to heat and smoke. Issue was probably the defective CVT transmission as noted in most Nissan.
This vehicle will fail to accelerate after stopping at stop sign/ red light or in stop/ go traffic. if i hit the gas pedal it won't actually move for seconds and then it will jolt forward. This becomes very dangerous and scary when pulling out onto busy roads. The RPM will start going up while driving for no reason and the car is not actually accelerating. this will happen while driving down the road randomly and the only thing i can do is pull over and shut car off for a minute. i have brough to dealership (a few years ago but they cannot recreate it so i have no options) this has been happening for several years at all different times and always randomly
The CVT malfunctions after about an hour of driving. There is a failure of power transfer to the drive wheels. The engine rpms increase but there is no forward motion resulting in the vehicle being stranded in traffic. I spoke to the nearest Nissan dealer which is one hour from my home in Mountain Home, AR and was told that this is a known problem and is an indication of imminent CVT failure.
Our 2015 Nissan rogue will occasionally not accelerate when driving, which can be extremely dangerous. I am not a mechanic, but I believe the transmission is faulty, the vehicle only has 59,000 miles on it! Also, tried driving the vehicle yesterday and it starts up fine, but it will not move foward or backward! Please help us with this issue! Thank you
I was driving on freeway with cruise control on and noticed a couple of 'slips' in the transmission that made the car slow down and 'jerk'. Thinking it might have been a bit of bad gas, I kept driving for about 20 minutes. At one point the car seemed to slip into neutral and the tachometer revved up to about 8000 RPM even though the car was still in drive. I pulled over on the off-ramp and then I lost all ability to move using any gear. I did not see any warning lights. The car is at a shop now to diagnose. Had this happened while on the freeway, who knows what might have happened.
My wife and I were returning from a Thanksgiving trip to relatives in Virginia southbound on I 95 She was driving and we both felt the car shudder as we began to lose speed. There was no acceleration even though the Tachometer was in a high range. We limped into a Rest Area ,shut down the car and called a tow service. We were towed to Deacon Jones Nissan in Golsboro, N.C. where we were told we needed a new transmission. The Service Manager told us this CVT transmission is supposed to be serviced every 30 K miles .We were at 87734. There was never a dashboard warning light to that effect nor any notice from Nissan. Our expenses were: Transmission=$6619.34; Towing=$155; 2 nights at hotel=$201.38
The transfer case system failed, and it is available for inspection upon request. My safety and others safety was put at risk because my vehicle malfunctioned. It is difficult to go uphill and it has turned off on multiple occasions. The car is making a rattle/grinding sound. The vehicle has less than 35,000 miles. The problem has been confirmed by mossy Nissan. The vehicle has been inspected by Nissan. The only warning was having to replace my battery twice while i have owned the vehicle, and the rattling noises/difficulty to accelerate. No lamps or messages illuminated. The vehicle and paperwork are currently with the dealer i can upload the proof at a later time/upon request. I have also included a link that show owners of Nissan rogue having the same issues. Was driving the vehicle and came to a train crossing in our area, put the vehicle in park and waited until train had passed (6 Minutes ?) and after gates went up and placed vehicle in drive again I couldn't get it to move....After waiting and putting it in low position it slowly caught and was able to get vehicle home which is 1.5 miles and have not been able to get it to move in any position. Contacted dealer and was told its a well known issue but Nissan is not covering these bad cvt transmissions and hope you can help! It's a 2015 model with just over 60k
Transmission jerks. Cvt transmission causing significant issues. Have already changed faulty valve body, mass air flow sensor, and idle control sensor.
My issue was with the car’s CVT, specifically related to the torque converter (code P0744). I was driving on the highway, driving up hill on a busy interstate and my car suddenly and very noticeably decelerated/lost engine power such that even attempting to accelerate by pushing the pedal all the way to the floor would not allow me to recover my speed. This put me as well as drivers in my surrounding area at risk as cars and semis had to suddenly brake and began honking and attempting to pass. This could have easily caused a serious accident. The problem has been confirmed by the dealer and the recommendation was to replace the transmission and add a component to help prevent overheating for around $8,000. They admitted that this is a known issue and there have been lawsuits, yet no recalls have occurred. The dealer that confirmed the issue was a Nissan dealership and therefore I would assume qualifies as the manufacturer. There were no warning lamps, messages, or any symptom/indication of a problem prior to this occurrence; not even the manufacturer proactively reaching out to warn of the potential for this to occur based on others’ experiences with the CVT. Here is a link to the video provided of the inspection performed by the dealer https:// [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle hesitated and jerked before stalling. After restarting the vehicle, the vehicle returned to normal functionality however, the failure became a regular failure. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and was diagnosed with transmission failure. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 50,000. The consumer stated that half of the cost of repair was initially going to be covered by the manufacturer but that was later denied by them. The vehicle exceeded the allotted time for reimbursement.

I was driving in 90°F weather for over an hour on the freeway, and it felt like my car's power cut out. This caused my vehicle to decelerate to 40mph while on a busy freeway, leading me to fear for my and others' safety. I turned the car off, waited for 15 minutes at the exit, and began moving again, only for the same issue to occur again. This time I stayed longer and decided not to push the car past 3k RPM, and made it home. The issue occurred once several months ago, and now it has happened twice on the same trip. There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms before the power was cut off. I took the car to an independent service center, and they could not diagnose the problem.
The contact's son owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while his son was driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed, but the vehicle failed to accelerate. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle coasted off to the side of the roadway. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The mechanic related the failure to Technical Service Bulletin: 15-084 (CVT Judder); however, the vehicle was not covered under the TSB. The failure mileage was approximately 126,000.
Mileage: 126,000
The transmission failed. The vehicle is not in my possession anymore it was sold to Carmax in May 2023. My safety and safety of others was put at risk in my opinion. The car would randomly not accelerate, I would have to pull over and restart the car. This at times would help and I would have no problem moving forward. Often it would not help and I would continue to not be able to accelerate. On the highway pulling over to restart the car or not being able to accelerate is scary. The car would at times not start and needed time to rest it seemed before I could get it to start again. The vehicle was inspected by Nissan in Chicago, IL twice, first on 5/23/22 and second on 3/14/23. The reports are attached. On 5/23/22 Nissan found nothing to explain the issue I described of not being able to accelerate but they stated-possible transmission issues that had not failed yet. It had also been inspected by an independent dealer several times- with no findings. No warning lights came on until March 2023 which is when I brought it to Nissan the second time on 3/14/23 hoping the warning light would give them more information. They found many other things that needed to be worked on but no mention of transmission issues. The report is attached. The Batavia Mobil recommended the transmission being replaced after their inspection on 5/1/23 and that is attached.
2015 Nissan Rogue-Consumer would like Nissan to replace the faulty transmission for 100% of the cost as is being done with other Nissan owners with the same transmission model even if the consumer is outside of the extended warranty by 8 months but 20,000 miles under the mileage limit that was set by the lawsuit. Notice to submit claim attached.

Transmission shakes between 2,000-2,500 RPM
On approximately October 24, 2022, my 2015 Nissan Rogue Select began having transmission trouble. Specifically, it was lurching and making a grinding noise between first and second gears. It is an automatic so it would actually be between 1200 and 1600 rpms. The local dealership stated there was a recall/extended warranty and placed my vehicle in their shop initially for 15 days between October 27, 2022 and November 10, 2022. The did not offer me a rental vehicle, nor did they fix my vehicle properly. On November 12, 2022, my vehicle leaked out all of the transmission fluid onto my garage floor, creating a hazardous materials incident, which I incurred fees to have properly cleaned up, and had to be towed BACK to Nissan of Bradenton in Manatee County Florida where it remained until November 17, 2022. I have put Nissan North America and Nissan of Bradenton on notice that the vehicle is still performing poorly and exhibiting a safety hazard to myself, my passengers and other vehicles on the road when it lurches out of first and second gear. My vehicle was not able to be used or driven for a total of twenty one (21) days during the calendar year 2022. I consider this significant under the Consumer Protection Act and Florida Lemon Law.
Nissan Rouge select transmission went in the span of 24 hours. One morning it wouldn’t accelerate past 20 mph, and the next morning it wouldn’t accelerate at all. There were no check engine lights or any other indication that there was a problem before it died, or even after it died. I was told that this model of Nissan did not come standard with a transmission cooling unit as, “Nissan didn’t think they were necessary on a few models of the Rouge, including this one.” Because of this, I needed to get my car towed to Middletown Nissan, where I was told the cost of repairs, tax and labor would cost approximately $4000, and $5000 with the addition of a cooling unit. The day repairs were to be completed, I got a call as I was on my way to the dealership that there was an error in calculation of labor costs, and Nissan wanted to charge me $8700. They ‘lowered the price’ to $6300, and at this point I had been without a car for a week and it was impacting my wife and my ability to work, and my preschool age daughter to go to school(of which i also pay for)
My ABS lights come on saying Chassis Control System Error and AWD Error. I took it to Nissan Dealership and they said it was find. Warning signals popping up on my dash board. I took pictures on my phone.
The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving approximately 35 MPH, the vehicle failed to accelerate as needed with the accelerator depressed. This car has to recall : CVT recall and fire hazard recall I was driving the car to the stadium and sitting on a traffic not even driving all the sudden the gas pedal stopped responding so the car does not drive even when I accelerate. I had to pull over open the hood then wait 20 minutes while trucking on the way I decide to try again then the car run. I took the car to a Nissant Dealership to be told that they cannot fix it because the title is branded.
The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle failed to properly accelerate while depressing the accelerator pedal. The contact stated that on several occasions, without warning the vehicle lost motive power and stalled. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the transmission was faulty and needed to be replaced. The contact stated that over the years the transmission continued to fail and had been replaced on three separate occasions. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 65,000.

AWD High Temperature warning message. Asked to stop vehicle. Once the message disappears and proceed to resume travel there's an odd humming sound from tire area as though the 4 wheel drive is engaged on drive pavement. Vehicle doesn't handle as well. This warning can happen 2 minutes to 2 hours into drive and on in surface type. Also, the AWD will engage without warning and will not turn off.
I bought the vehicle at 24,000 miles in 2015. at 40,000 miles I went in for the normal oil change and was told that the transmission was bad and needed replaced. Nissan replaced it. When I purchased the car I was given an extended warranty. I'm now at 116,000 miles and it loses acceleration power when driving (currently not being driven), and then all of a sudden the rpms jump up and it will go, causing danger while driving. It also makes a very loud whining noise. Had it towed to dealership and they diagnosed as bad transmission. Extended warranty is not wanting to cover. This is the second nissan I've bought that has had to have transmissions replaced due to the same failure. It is dangerous that so many are having this issue and Nissan won't issue a recall for the transmission that they are putting out to the public know that they are dangerous. I could've easily had a wreck or been rear-ended because of Nissan's failure. I also am a healthcare traveler that is over 1200 miles away from home without a vehicle now.

Purchased with 89k miles, now has 130k miles. A few times at random the check engine light came on and then went off immediately, seemingly went off when I would tighten up my gas cap, so i thought this was the cause. Hit 130k miles and light comes on during my drive home from work, and this time is accompanied by my loss of acceleration. On Highway I couldn’t go over about 55mph without losing ability to accelerate, I pull off Highway, get to first stop light, and then I can’t get the car to accelerate from a stop at all without an extreme delay. I pull into the nearest repair shop and they run the codes on ECU and tell me it’s not reading any active codes, but history codes are showing transmission issues and that CVT transmissions are known for this and recommends I call Nissan Consumer Affairs. Literally zero noticeable issues prior to this incident! I call them & they don’t have my name attached to the VIN? They create a case and tell me there was a class action lawsuit settlement (I never got any notification whatsoever!!!) but that I’m outside of the extended warranty provided as a result of the settlement. I still owe $8k on this piece of shit and Nissan won’t do anything—It should be recalled!!! 2nd Nissan I’ve owned, the first one I bought with 14k miles on it & had to replace the transmission at 35k, warranty expired. I will never buy another Nissan ever again. Ever. They clearly knowingly put defective and unsafe transmissions in these cars, screw over their customers time and time again, & are never held responsible. I don’t have the money to replace this transmission or buy a new car and be $10k in the hole. I can’t get to & from work in this car & don’t feel remotely safe when driving it. I’m terrified I’m going to get tboned bc I won’t be able to accelerate, & it’s only a matter of time before it is completely toast. There will be blood on Nissan’s hands for these CVT’s. I’m not paying them to diagnose a widespread issue they are fully aware of!!

My teenager daughter was attempting to merge onto US 15-501 traffic and the vehicle wouldn't accelerate, it kept hesitating. Oncoming traffic almost rear ended her. She got off on an exit and stopped at the red light. When it turned green she had the same issue and it wouldn't accelerate and continued to hesitate. She got it home. The vehicle was towed to the Nissan dealership and I was told the CVT transmission needs replaced. There were no previous noises or warning lights. The issue came on all of a sudden which almost caused a crash on the highway.
Car was feeling sluggish while driving about 20 to 40 mph then all the sudden there was no acceleration even though stepping on the gas.

Own a 2015 Nissan rogue with 85k miles on it. Check engine light came on. Took to dealership. They performed diagnostics and gave the code P1740 and P0725. They told me the CVT transmission issue and needed to be replaced. Didn't have issues with the car up to this point and did all my service in Nissan dealer at the right time. Researched and saw that Nissan had issues with their CVT transmissions including the Rogue model and year I had. If there is an issue with the transmission, why are they allowed to still sell it? A bad transmission can cause an accident when driving or in reverse. It's 5504 dollars to repair/replace and no guarantee that the transmission they put in will work properly either. Called Nissan and they say they can't help because it is out of warranty. This issue has been going on for 2 decades already. I would like to be reimbursed for it. I know that's not your agency's job but you should be much more diligent on these issues. Consumer lives are at risk not to mention the huge cost of repairing/replacing a transmission. Nissan is getting a free pass on selling defective vehicles to the public. There is a class action law suit for the same which Nissan is settling only for few car owners who falls in the same category as mine. Here is the link for the class action law suit. https://topclassactions.com/lawsuit-settlements/lawsuit-news/nissan-class-action-lawsuit-and-settlement-news/nissan-inks-277m-deal-with-rogue-pathfinder-infiniti-qx60-drivers-to-end-transmission-class-action/ Nissan should help all people who are affected by their faulty CVT. Nissan cars should be banned till they fix the issue and the Government should take proper action to safe guard the life of consumers and the people whom the government is working for. The rating on this car should be downgraded to zero. I request the concern authorities to help the affected consumers, ban the Nissan malpractice and save the lives of American people.

A bad transmission can cause an accident when driving or in reverse. It's 5504 dollars to repair/replace and no guarantee that the transmission they put in will work properly either. Call Nissan and they say they can't help because it is out of warranty. Your agency really dropped the ball on this. I request the concern authorities to help the affected consumers, ban the Nissan malpractice and save the lives of American people.
The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while at a complete stop, the vehicle would shudder. The contact also stated that the vehicle would hesitate upon acceleration after a complete stop. The contact also stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact called the dealer and was informed that there were no recalls on the vehicle. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure and confirmed the information provided by the dealer. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 27,000.

CVT Transmission failure. Loss of vehicle propulsion and burning smell on highway. Warning light came on after symptoms of failure. Owner has only driven 24k miles since purchase and goes for routine vehicle service at Nissan regularly. Further research show identical safety related issues for models with CVT from 2012-2016. There are no recalls despite pending lawsuits for this issue.
Check engine light came on. Took to dealership. They performed diagnostics. Told me the transmission was failing and needed to be replaced. Also said that the catalytic converter was failing too and needed to be replaced also. Didn't have issues with the car up to this point. Researched and saw that Nissan had issues with their CVT transmissions including the Rogue model and year I had. This was the second time a transmission failed on a Nissan Rogue that I owned. If there is an issue with the transmission why are they allowed to still sell it? A bad transmission can cause an accident when driving or in reverse. Needless to say I was pretty much forced to sell this on a trade in for a new vehicle. It's thousands of dollars to repair/replace and no guarantee that the transmission they put in will work properly either. Your agency really dropped the ball on this. This issue has been going on for 2 decades already. I would like to be reimbursed for it. I know that's not your agency's job but you should be much more diligent on these issues. Able to shift out of the "Park" position without depressing the brake pedal. Moved while parked and kids were in the car unbuckled. Could have injured the kids as well as anyone who was around the car at the time. Brought the car to the dealer, appeared to be a recall with other 2015 Nissan Rogues but not this one.
I own a 2015 Nissan Rogue with 70,000 miles.Pulling into driveway at 2mph, car suddenly accelerated by itself , leaving me with no control over the car and unable to make it stop before hitting a truck in the rear and pushing the truck sideways. The truck had been parked in driveway. Brakes did not stop the acceleration. Skid marks noted for a couple of feet. Had my 3 year old grandson in the back seat in his car seat. Person's truck I hit, saw the whole event happen. Engine rev'd up and jerked forward. No one was hurt but I was hysterical having my grandson in the car with me. Car had to be towed and still needing to be taken to repair shop. Awaiting to hear from insurance agent on which autobody shop it should be taken to. Truck that I hit had a lot of rear damage.
Oct 9, 2021 had issues including loss of power, transmission jerking, transmission slipping while driving. Just returned from dealer for service on my 2015 Nissan Rogue with 55k miles saying it needs a new CVT and it's not covered under warranty. First occurred on Oct 9, the dealer applied the reprogram on Oct 12, but issue came back that night. Took it back today and the new code is the P0744 shudder saying replace CVT. CVT issue causes hazardous driving conditions as the vehicle jerks, loses power, then quickly accelerates, then lunges, etc.
Nissan issued a Recall Campaign Bulletin on this issue on September 23, 2020 (attached). This issue is caused by a failed electric controlled coupling that transmits driving force to the rear final drive. Under certain circumstances primary failure of this device can lead to secondary failures that can create dynamic instability and loss of traction. The Recall Campaign Bulletin only applies to a relatively small subset of vehicles that are vulnerable to this problem. Please see the repair estimate attached.
The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH, the vehicle hesitated while depressing the accelerator pedal without warning. The contact had initially taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The contact continued to experience intermittent hesitation while driving at various speeds without warning. She then took the vehicle to another mechanic who informed her of a TSB on the vehicle for the transmission. The contact declined to have any repairs performed on the vehicle at that time. The contact stated that while driving at highway speeds, the check engine warning light illuminated on the instrument panel as the vehicle hesitated. The contact took the vehicle back to the mechanic who informed her that the transmission needed to be replaced. The dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000.

My car had gear slipped down to neutral and lost power while driving on a highway and as I was pushed the gas pedal after about 10secs jumped back to gear and accelerated unexpectedly.
The Nissan Rogue would not accelerate past 40mph on the highway. It was also making a whining sound. The failure of the car to accelerate made it impossible to drive at the appropriate speed limit on the highway. We had to put on the emergency lights and we had our children in the back seat. We took the car in to our own mechanic, as well as to our local Nissan service center, and they both confirmed that it is an internal transmission problem. We are attaching the diagnostic reports to this message. There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure.
When the car is driven in stop and go traffic, the transmission stops working, engine would rev but the car will move at extremely slow speed, at that point, I have to pull over, turn off the car and then start the car again. Upon starting the car again, the transmission will work fine. Nissan Company and the dealers states that the Nissan Rogue transmissions were recalled for other years but not 2015. The issue stated in 2019 and it continues to be the problem. Nissan refuses to fix it.
Vehicle has intermittent transmission problems. RPS's increase, speedometer increase however vehicle does not increase speed, then all of a sudden vehicle will increase at high rate of speed. This is dangerous and could severely injure someone. I have brought vehicle to dealership 3 times and each time dealership service department states the vehicle is not showing any error codes. Dealership will not investigate any further unless I pay out of pocket to maybe find an warranty covered issue.
Transmission failure at 100,000 miles
The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle shuddered with a loud rattling sound coming from underneath the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed. The contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to an unknown recall. The manufacturer was informed of the failure but offered no further assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

I was driving down the tollway at night and alone when my car stopped accelerating but my RPM's went up to 5,000. I managed to pull over and shut it off . Tried again, it would not go. Tried 3 x and it finally went. I shut off the air and drive slowly so I could safely complete my trip. When I went to the Nissan dealer. They told me it was the transmission. That is is a know condition on this model. The service writer actually told me these keep them in business. Apparently the transmission cooler is too small and they overheat. They told want almost $6,000 to repair the vehicle that is probably not even worth that anymore. How can they not have a recall on a know defect? If you google it there are numerous service bulletins yet no recall for repair. I am so disappointed. In this difficult time of our lives I am without a car and left with a huge repair. As of today the car is at the dealer. Jim M'Lady Nissan in Crystal Lake, IL. I do not have the bill, we have just spoke over the phone.

CAR STOPS ACCELERATING RANDOMLY. SOME DAYS IT WON'T GO OVER 60MPH WHILE I'M ALREADY DRIVING ON THE THRUWAY. OTHER DAYS IT WILL DROP SPEED FROM 70 TO 60 AND I HAVE NO CONTROL OVER ACCELERATION. THIS ALWAYS HAPPENS ON THE HIGHWAY.

WHILE DRIVING MY 2015 NISSAN ROGUE ON A BUSY HIGHWAY AT 70 MPH, ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE SPEED DROPPED AND WOULD NOT GO OVER 60. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE TO NEAREST REPAIR SHOP WITH HAZARD LIGHTS ON. BY THE TIME I DROVE INTO REPAIR, THE SPEED WAS DOEN TO 45 MPH. THE REPAIR SHOP SAID IT WAS A TRANSMISSION ISSUE. I HAD THE NISSAN TOWED TO A TRANSMISSION SHOP. THEY SAID I WOULD NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION. BEFORE I AUTHORIZED THE TRANSMISSION SHOP TO REPAIR, I CHECKED FOR RECALLS OR ISSUES WITH NISSAN DEALERSHIP. I WAS TOLD THERE WAS AN ISSUE, BUT THAT IT INCLUDED 2015 NISSAN ROGUES MANUFACTURED UNTIL MARCH 2015. MINE VEHICLE WAS MANUFACTURED IN JULY 2015. MY PROBLEM WAS EXACTLY THE SAME ISSUE FROM THEIR "ISSUE" WHERE THEY HAD EXPANDED THE WARRANTY FOR THE TRANSMISSION ISSUE.

WAS DRIVING ALONG VEHICLE IN MOTION ON WAY HOME FROM WORK ON A FALL EVENING THAT GETS DARK PRETTY QUICKLY. SLOWED DOWN AT A STOP LIGHT AND THE TRANSMISSION SUDDENLY DIED WHILE GOING OVER AN INCLINE. VEHICLE REFUSED TO MOVE FORWARD AND ALMOST ROLLED BACK INTO THE VEHICLE BEHIND ME. THIS HAPPENED ON A BUSY HIGHWAY. IT WAS PRETTY DANGEROUS BEING STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF A MAJOR INTERSECTION WHILE IT WAS DARK. HAD TO GET POLICE TO BLOCK THE RIGHT LANE TO AVOID BEING REAR ENDED. EVENTUALLY GOT THE VEHICLE TOWED.

NOTICED TRANSMISSION SLIPPING WHEN GOING INTO FIRST GEAR, SPECIFICALLY WHEN TAKING OFF FROM AT A COMPLETE STOP. IF IN ECO MODE IT IS WORSE. SO FAR ONLY DOING IT IN 1ST GEAR, WORRIED IT WILL GIVE OUT ON HIGHWAY LIKE I HAVE SEEN OTHERS. TOOK TO NISSAN TO HAVE DIAGNOSED RECENTLY AND TOLD I NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION WITH JUST OVER 110K MILES. THEY DO NOT WANT TO COVER IT AS IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY. THERE ARE RECALLS IN OTHER ROGUES FOR THIS EXACT ISSUE, OF COURSE NOT MINE.

I HAD PLENTY OF TIME TO MAKE THE TURN BUT THE CARS WEAK ACCELERATION CAUSED MY FAMILY TO BE IN AN UNSAFE CONDITION, WE COULD HAVE BEEN HIT. CAR VIBRATIONS, SHUDDERING, WEAK ACCELERATION, AND A LOUD NOISE WAS DETECTED IN THE CVT. I TOOK MY VEHICLE IN TO CHECK THE ISSUE, AND THE REPAIR SHOP STATED I WOULD NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION BECAUSE THESE TRANSMISSIONS HAVE A HISTORY OF PROBLEMS CAUSING A DRIVER AND PASSENGERS TO BE PUT AT RISK.

TOOK MY NISSAN TO MECHANIC AND HE TOLD ME THAT THE TRANSMISSION IS BAD AND I'VE JUST HAD THE CAR FOR LESS THAN 2 YEARS . I BOUGHT IT AND IT HAD 82,000 AND NOW AT 116,000 THE TRANSMISSION IS ALREADY BAD, THAT IS NOT RIGHT AT ALL. I BOUGHT THIS CAR THINKING I WOULDN'T HAVE NOTHING BUT REGULAR MAINTENANCE TO DO IN IT NOT A FREAKING $3000 TO $4000 MAYBE MORE TO PUT INTO IT. MY GOD I PAYED A LOT FOR THIS CAR AND NOW THE TRANSMISSION IS OUT OF IT . THAT'S UNCALLED FOR. NISSAN NEEDS TO STEP UP AND TAKE CARE OF THIS PROBLEM . WHEN I GET IN THE CAR AND START IT UP IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY LOUD SOUNDS THEN WHEN YOU PUT IT IN DRIVE AND ACCELERATE IT MAKES A LOUD ROARING SOUND. AS YOU ACCELERATE IT GETS LOUDER. I'M SO DISGUSTED WITH NISSAN . I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER NISSAN IN MY LIFETIME

I UNLOCKED MY CAR TO GET IN AND THEN WHEN I TRIED TO START IT, IT MADE THIS CLICKING SOUND. THE BATTERY TURNED ON SO I KEPT TRYING TO PUSH ON THE BRAKES AND THEN PRESS THE START BUTTON AND IT STILL WOULDN'T WORK. I DID THIS ABOUT 6-9 TIMES AND THEN FINALLY THE CAR TURNED ON. AFTER A FEW SECOND THE A/C TURNED OFF AND THEN TURNED BACK ON. ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS IT DOESN'T DETECT THE KEY IN THE FOB. I HAVE CHANGED OUT THE BATTERY IN MY KEY FOB, I HAD IT LOOKED OVER BY 2 MECHANICS AND MY BATTERY AND START AND ENGINE LOOK GOOD AND ARE IN GOOD CONDITION. IT HAPPENED EVERY TIME AND MY CAR TURNED OFF WHILE I WAS PULLING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY AND QUICKLY TURNED BACK ON.

AFTER A LONG PERIOD OF HIGHWAY DRIVING IN HOT WEATHER, THE CAR STOPPED ACCELERATING PAST 3000 RPM AND IMMEDIATELY BEGAN SLOWING IN TRAFFIC DUE TO THE CVT TRANSMISSION OVERHEATING. I WAS ALMOST UNABLE TO MAKE IT UP A HILL AND GET OFF FOR A GAS STATION TO STOP.

MY CAR STARTED SHAKING WHILE IN REVERSE AND SLOW TO SHIFT GEARS WHILE ACCELERATING AT ABOUT 60K MILES I TOOK IT INTO MULTIPLE NISSAN DEALERSHIPS AND THEY TOLD ME THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY CAR. I TOOK IT IN AGAIN AT 80K MILES AND THEY TOLD ME THAT I WAS ON THE WAY TO NEEDING A NEW TRANSMISSION AT 80K! AND THEY HAD SEEN LOTS OF OTHER CARS LIKE MINE BUT THE WARRANTY JUST LAPSED. NOW AT 98K MILES MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND I HAD THE CODE RAN TO FIND OUT IT IS THE TRANSMISSION. ANOTHER SIDE EFFECT IS MY GAS MILEAGE HAS DROPPED TO ABOUT 20 MILES TO THE GALLON HIGHWAY .
I HAVE BEEN BRINGING MY VEHICLE INTO THE DEALERSHIP FOR 4 YEARS COMPLAINING OF THE TRANSMISSION MESSING UP. ( WON'T GO AT RED-LIGHT, SHUDDERS WHEN TAKING OFF, WEIRD NOISES). THEY ALWAYS JUST TEST DROVE IT SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG. I BROUGHT IT IN YESTERDAY FOR AN OIL CHANGE AND AGAIN COMPLAINED ABOUT TRANSMISSION. THE TECH COMES IN AND SAYS I NEED A NEW ONE AND IT HAD BEEN LIKE THAT FOR A WHILE. I BRING MY CAR THERE ALL THE TIME FOR SERVICE AND THEY LIE SAYING THEY CHECK EVERYTHING. NOW I NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION AND THEY WON'T HELP CAUSE THE WARRANTY IS UP BUT THEY WOULD NOT FIX IT WHEN I HAD THE WARRANTY. I WANT EITHER MY CAR FULLY FIXED OR MY MONEY BACK ON THE CAR. I CALLED CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND THEY SAID THEY CAN'T/WON'T HELP. *TR

WEEKS BEFORE I NOTICED MY RPM HAND JUMPING ERRATICALLY AND WHEN I WENT TO GET TO DIAGNOSTICS NO ONE COULD FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH MY CAR. I FINALLY TOOK IT TO NISSAN ON THE DAY THAT I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AND I LOST ACCELERATION. CVT TRANSMISSION JERKS IN ECO MODE EACH TIME AFTER RELEASING THE GAS PEDAL, ALSO EVEN WHEN NOT USING ECO MODE THE GRINDING NOISE COMING FROM TRANSMISSION WHEN GOING DOWN THE HILL EVEN IF YOU'RE NOT APPLYING ON THE BRAKE PEDAL, ALSO FRONT PASSENGER SEAT VIBRATES WHEN IN DRIVE MODE AND HOLDING THE BRAKE PEDAL AT THE LIGHT, THE SUV HAS ONLY 33,500 MILES ON IT. IN MY OPINION ALL ISSUES ARE DUE TO MANUFACTURED FAULTY TRANSMISSION. ACCORDING TO MECHANICS CONSULTED WAS TOLD JATCO COMPANY THAT MAKES TRANSMISSION FOR NISSAN MAKES BAD CVT TRANSMISSIONS. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE FAILURE WORSENED WHEN THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO LEE NISSAN (793 CENTER ST, AUBURN, ME 04210, (207) 784-5441) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS INOPERABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND A DECISION WAS PENDING. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 106,700.

WHEN DRIVING AND THE CAR HITS ~35MPH, THE CVT CONTINUOUSLY LOSES POWER AND BEGINS CAUSING VIBRATIONS AND SHUDDERING. CAR HAS ~64,000 MILES.

BOUGHT CAR FROM WIN MOTORS TODAY; TOOK TO MECHANIC NEXT DOOR..SAID IT WAS OKAY; WHEN ASKED FOR RECEIPT FOR TESTING MECHANIC SAID HE DID NOT DO THAT. CAR DROVE FINE UNTIL I GOT HOME AND WHEN I MOVED FROM STREET INTO DRIVEWAY, I HEARD GRINDING NOISE ON BRAKES , BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, WHEN SHIFTING GEARS A LOUD SOUND OF STRAINING; PAID CASH FOR USED CAR. REALLY HOPE I CAN RESOLVE WITH 2 DAY RETURN.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED AT JUST OVER 70K MILES WITH P1740 TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH SOLENOID INDUCTIVE SIGNATURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN FOR REPAIR, AND AFTER INSPECTION IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE MATERIALS INSIDE THE TRANSMISSION WERE DETERIORATING, DAMAGING THE BEARINGS AND CAUSING FLUID LEAKAGE AND INADEQUATE PRESSURES IN THE TRANSMISSION. THIS REPAIR IS COSTING ALMOST $3000 AND IS WELL BEFORE STANDARD EXPECTED MAINTENANCE SCHEDULES FOR THE TRANSMISSION.

DRIVING ON I15 NORTH, TRAVELING UPHILL THE CAR LOST POWER TRAVELING 80 MPH SLOWED TO 65 MPH. NO ACCELERATION , TOP OF THE GRADE AND THE CAR RESUMED IT'S NATURAL THRUST. NO PROBLEMS AFTERWARD.
Mileage: 35,000
VEHICLE LOSES POWER. THIS IS RANDOM BUT THE ESP LIGHT IS ALWAYS ON WHEN IT HAPPENS. THIS PROBLEM IS WORSE ON INCLINES. THE CAR WILL NOT MOVE. CAR HESITATES WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE. YOU CAN HAVE THE GAS PEDAL ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AND THE CAR WON'T GO, OR BARELY MOVES.

GEAR SHIFT CAME OFF IN HAND AND WOULD ONLY GO TURNING AROUND IN DRIVEWAY GEAR SHIFT KNOB CAME OFF IN HAND AND WOULD ONLY SHIFT FROM NEUTRAL TO DRIVE. DEALER TOLD ME WAS NOT COVERED BY ENGINE DRIVETRAIN WARRANTY BECAUSE WAS NOT AN INTERNAL PART. THE CAR WAS BOUGHT NEW AND HAD ONLY 37K ON IT.

86,000 AND THE CVT TRANSMISSION NEED TO BE REPLACED/REBUILT. I HAVE SPOKEN WITH SEVERAL SHOPS AND THIS CVT TRANSMISSION ON THE 2016 NISSAN ROGUE IS KNOWN FOR HAVING PROBLEMS AND COMMONLY HAS TO BE REPLACED. COST OVER $3000
Mileage: 86,000
SHIFT INTERLOCK SOLENOID. DOES NOT SHIFT FROM PARK POSITION INTERMITTENTLY
THE AIR CONDITIONING REGULARLY STOPS WORKING AND WILL BLOW OUT WARM AIR. WE HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIPS AND MECHANICS AND THEY CANNOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM AS IT REQUIRES SOME PERIOD OF DRIVING BEFORE IT WILL STOP WORKING. SENSORS AND WIRES HAVE BEEN REPLACED. COOLANT LEVEL IS FINE AND THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING OVER THE PAST TWO SUMMERS.

THERE IS SOMETHING DESPERATELY WRONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION/POWER IN MY VEHICLE. I LOSE POWER WHEN GOING UP HILLS, ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY ARE CONTINUAL, LIKE UP A MOUNTAIN PASS! THERE IS A SUPER HIGH PITCHED NOISE WHEN THE CAR RUNS FOR OVER AN HOUR, LIKE SQUEALING. TOLD THERE IS NO PROBLEM AT NISSAN DEALERSHIP, THIS IS NOT TRUE. THE NOISE HAPPENS IN EVERY GEAR WHEN IT STARTS AND DOESN'T STOP UNTIL THE CAR COOLS AGAIN. THE POWER IN VEHICLE THAT IS LOST UP HILLS, WILL KEEP IT FROM EVER GOING ABOVE 60 UNTIL SEVERAL HOURS LATER. THE POWER IS LOST IN THE WHOLE VEHICLE, IT LAGS AND SOMETIMES NOTHING HAPPENS DURING THIS POWER LOSS WHEN PUSHING THE GAS PEDAL. THE LOSS OF POWER IS SO MUCH THAT IT CAN'T CONTINUE TO GO UP HILLS SOMETIMES AND I'VE HAD TO PULL OVER! VERY SCARY ON A MOUNTAIN PASS!

THERE IS A RECALL ON THE NISSAN ROUGE 2015 ON NISSAN RECALL PAGE RELATING TO REPROGRAMMNG OF CVT TRANSMISSION FROM 8TH OF DECEMBER 2016 BUT THIS ISN'T ON YOUR PAGE. MY TRANSMISSION WENT AND WAS TOLD IT IS OVER THE MILEAGE WARRANTY AND WHEN ASKED WAS THEIR A RECALL ON MY VEHICLE WAS TOLD EMPHATICALLY NO HOWEVER ON INVESTIGATION THERE IS TWO RECALLS. WHEN I LATER CONTACTED THEM WITH THIS INFORMATION THEY SAID THEY SENT OUT A LETTER. I GOT NO LETTER AND WHEN I SAID SEND THE LETTER TO MY EMAIL ACCOUNT THE EMPLOYEE STATED HE HAD NO ACCESS TO THIS INFORMATION SO HOW CAN HE SAY A LETTER WAS SENT OUT. NISSAN ARE CONTINUALLY PUTTING THESE CVT TRANSMISSIONS INTO CARS FOR YEARS KNOWING THEY ARE NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE AND THERE IS NO FIX FOR THEM. YOU JUST NEED TO GOOGLE NISSAN CVT TRANSMISSION FAILURE TO SEE THE DEVASTATION THEY ARE INFLICTING ON PEOPLE

I WAS DRIVING IN SNOWY CONDITIONS AND VEHICLE BEGAN BAULKING AS IF IT WAS GOING TO STALL. A CHASSIS SYSTEM CONTROL WARNING DISPLAYED ON TH DASH. I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY ADVISED IT WAS DUE TO THE SLIPPERY ROAD CONDITIONS. THEY ADVISED TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF AND BACK ON AND THE WARNING WOULD DISAPPEAR/RESET. I DID THIS AND THE WARNING WAS REMOVED HOWEVER, BRIEF MOMENTS OF RANDOM "BAULKING" CONTINUED. A FEW DAYS LATER I WAS TRAVELLING ON A MULTI LANE HIGHWAY IN A SNOW STORM. THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SEVERELY "BAULK" AND THEN THE VEHICLE STALLED COMPLETELY. I WAS TRAVELING VERY SLOWLY DUE TO THE ROAD CONDITIONS AND THE STALL WAS SO SUDDEN, THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH MOMENTUM TO GET PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I TRIED TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. IT WOULD START FOR 2-3 SECONDS AND STALL AGAIN. I WAS STRANDED, WITH MY CHILDREN, PARTIALLY IN A LIVE LANE OF TRAFFIC, ON A BUSY HIGHWAY, IN A SNOW STORM. I KEPT TRYING TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AND AFTER APPROXIMATELY 20MIN IT STARTED AGAIN. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE ABOUT 5 -10KM BEFORE THE VEHICLE STALLED AGAIN. I WANTED TO REPORT THIS ISSUE AS I FOUND A RECALL FOR 2014 AND OLDER NISSAN ROGUE FOR THE SAME ISSUE THAT WAS IDENTIFIED AS A FUEL PUMP ISSUE. NISSAN REPORTED THE ISSUE HAD BEEN CORRECTED FORMROGUE'S MANUFACTURED AFTER JUNE 2014. MY VEHICLE WAS MANUFACTURED FEB 2015. THIS IS NOT ONLY A RECALL ISSUE, IT IS A SERIOUS OCCUPANT SAFETY CONCERN.
Mileage: 40,000
AFTER DRIVING IN CITY TRAFFIC ALL DAY THE ROGUE WOULD NOT MOVE AS I WAS HEADING HOME FOR THE DAY. I BOUGHT THE ROGUE NEW IN 2015 AND IN OCTOBER 2016 THIS HAPPENED. TOOK TO A DEALERSHIP AND WORK WAS DONE. CAR OK UNTIL: SEPTEMBER 2017 THE ROGUE WAS SHIFTING LATE AND NOT DOWN SHIFTING GOING DOWNHILL. TOOK IT BACK TO DEALERSHIP. NISSAN SAID JUST TO DRAIN SOME OF THE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND PUT IN NEW TRANSMISSION FLUID.

I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE, DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY THE TRANSMISSION BLEW OUT, CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE PASS 40 MILES AN HOUR, ONLY HAD THE VEHICLE FOR 7 DAYS!!

WHEN THE TEMPERATURE IS OVER 90 DEGREES AND THE CAR HAS BEEN RUNNING FOR AT LEAST 10 MINUTES THE CAR HAS ACCELERATION ISSUES. WHEN AT A FULL STANDSTILL SUCH AS AT A STOPLIGHT THE CAR WILL NOT ACCELERATE QUICKLY AND RESPOND TO PEDAL PRESSURE. WHEN THE PEDAL IS FLOORED AND TRYING TO START AGAIN IT HAS A LONG DELAY LIKE THE TRANSMISSION IS IN A HIGH GEAR OR IS OVERHEATED. I KNOW THERE HAVE BEEN MANY ISSUES ONLINE ABOUT THE CVT OF THE ROGUE. THIS ONLY SEEMS TO HAPPEN WHEN IT IS HOT OUT. THERE ARE ALSO ISSUES WHEN GOING UP AN INCLINE IN HOT TEMPERATURE THE CAR DOES NOT RESPOND TO PEDAL PRESSURE AND ACCELERATION. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE IN THAT WHEN TRYING TO TURN LEFT AT A LIGHT I EXPECT MY CAR TO GO AND NOT STUTTER AND THERE HAVE BEEN MANY CLOSE CALLS TO BEING BROADSIDED.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 NISSAN ROGUE. AFTER APPLYING THE BRAKES ABRUPTLY TO AVOID A COLLISION AND ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE, THE VEHICLE LOST POWER. IN ADDITION, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE AND INCREASED IN RPMS. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE OR REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,000. UPDATED 01/11/2017*CT

TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED WITHIN 6 MONTHS OF HAVING THE CAR. THEY ALSO ADJUST IDLE SPEED WITHIN A MONTH OF HAVING THE CAR AND ALSO HAD ISSUES WITH POWER SOCKETS. CAR MAKES RATTLE NOISE WHEN ACCELERATING AND MAKE LESS GAS MILAGE THAN AVERAGE . THEY HAD REPROGRAMMED THE TCM ALREADY. THEY ALSO CHANGED THE SHIFTER . THEY HAD ADJUST BOTH FRONT BRAKE BACKING PLATES. I WON'T RECOGNIZE THE SMART KEY SOMETIMES. THEY REPLACED ONE HEADLIGHT ALREADY. IT HAS SEVERAL RECALLS.

THERE IS A VIBRATION NOTICEABLE IN THE FLOOR, PEDALS AND STEERING WHEEL AT AROUND 1250 ENGINE RPM WHENEVER THE CAR SPEED IS STEADY. IT CORRESPONDS TO ABOUT 45-50 MPH WHEN DRIVING IN ECO MODE. IT HAPPENS WHILE CRUISING AT STEADY SPEEDS ON STRAIGHT OR CURVED ROADS. I HAVE COMPLAINED TWO OR MORE TIMES TO THE DEALER AND NISSAN USA AND THE ONLY REPLY I HAVE RECEIVED IS THAT IT IS NORMAL FOR THAT MODEL. OTHER OWNERS HAVE REPORTED THIS PROBLEM ON INTERNET FORUMS. I AM AFRAID THIS VIBRATION WILL AFFECT THE LONG TERM RELIABILITY OF THIS CAR.
Mileage: 50
TEERING WHEEL VIBRATES AT SPEEDS 25-55 MPH. MOST OF THE VIBRATION WILL STOP IF I DRIVE IN THE SPORT MODE. HAVE BACK TO DEALER THREE TIMES, BUT NO LUCK. THEY SAID OTHER 2015 ROGUE SHOW THE SAME PROBLEM, THERE IS NO TBS ISSUED YET, SO THEY BASICALLY DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIX IT. TWO DIFFERENT DEALERS FELT THE VIBRATIONS. YOU CAN ALMOST HEAR A LIKE A HARMONIC NOISE WHEN THIS HAPPENS. I HAVE CONTACTED NISSAN AND AM WAITING FOR A RESOLUTION OR SOMETHING. I ASKED NISSAN TO FIND A ROGUE THAT DOESN'T VIBRATE OR GET OUT OF MY LEASE WITH MY MONEY BACK.

I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK ONE EVENING, AND SINCE THE OTHER VEHICLES WERE PASSING ME ON THE FREEWAY. I DECIDED TO CHANGE FROM "ECO" MODE TO "SPORT" MODE BECAUSE THE ACCELERATION IS MORE RESPONSIVE AND SMOOTH. WHEN I DID THIS I HIT 3 RPM'S AND TRAFFIC WAS SLOWING DOWN SO I APPLIED THE BRAKES AND THE NEEDLE JUST STEADILY SHOOK AT 3 RPM'S AND I COULD HEAR THE ENGINE REVVING AND ACCELERATING AS I WAS PUSHING THE BREAKS. SO JUST TO MAKE SURE I KNEW WHAT I EXPERIENCED WAS TRUE I MOVED ALL THE WAY TO THE LEFT LANE. THEN PROCEEDED TO ACCELERATE UP TO 3 RPM'S AND SURE ENOUGH WHEN I APPLIED THE BRAKES IT CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE. I REPEATED THIS 4 MORE TIMES. THEN THE RPM FINALLY CAME BACK DOWN. WHAT I TRIED TO EXPLAIN TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS YES "SPORT" MODE DOES KEEP RPM'S HIGH I LIKE THAT THAT'S THE REASON WHY I DRIVE IN THAT MODE ON THE FREEWAY. THE ISSUE IS THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO COME DOWN AND NOT REV WHENEVER I PUSH THE BRAKES. I DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS EXCLUSIVE TO MY VEHICLE OR NOT. I JUST DON'T WANT TO BE IN AN ACCIDENT DUE TO THE FACT OF A DETERIORATED FAULTY SYSTEM IN THE VEHICLE.

MY CAR STARTED TO REV TO OVER 4000 RPMS AT 30 MPH IT WAS LIKE IT WAS STOCK IN LOW FOR OVER 3 MILES I HAD TO PULL OVER STOP THE CAR AND TRY IT AGAIN I WAS UNABLE TO GET IT TO RUN NORMAL I TOOK IT RIGHT TO NISSAN SERVICE THEY CHECKED THE CAR OUT TOLD ME NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH IT. THEY ASKED ME IF I HAD IT IN LOW I TOLD HIM THAT A BIG D WAS SHOWING SO IT WAS IN DRIVE AND I WAS TOLD THEY SEE THAT AT ABOUT 40,000 MILES THEY WOULD NOT GIVE AND PAPER WORK FOR THE SERVICE THAT WAS DONE IF ANY. THERE IS PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION THIS IS THE 2ND TIME IT HAPPENED TO ME BUT IT CLEARED UP AFTER A LITTLE.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 NISSAN ROGUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH FROM A STOP SIGN, THE ENGINE BEGAN TO REV AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE OVER 10 MPH. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED BUT FAILED TO DRIVE OR REVERSE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 500.

THE CAR REVS UP TO 5 RPMS AT 60MPH LIKE ITS STUCK IN NEUTRAL. NEED TO TAKE THE FOOT OFF THE GAS GET DOWN TO 50MPH AND WAS ABLE TO GET IT BACK UP TO 65MPH. I DID THIS IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. I WAS AFRAID THE PERSON BEHIND WAS GOING TO HIT TO CHANGE SPEEDS SO FAST. NISSAN LOOKED AT THE CAR TODAY AND SAID THERE WASN'T AN ISSUE AND I NEEDED TO DO THAT TO LET THE TRANSMISSION CATCH UP. NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A THING. MY LAST NISSAN AT 98K DIED BECAUSE OF THE TRANSMISSION. BEFORE IT DIED IT WAS DOING THE SAME THING. *TR
