The contact owns a 2018 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that upon taking the vehicle for the State Inspection, the contact was informed that two unknown sensors had failed. An independent mechanic reset the unknown sensor codes and advised the contact to return after 100 miles. The contact followed the instructions and returned to the State Inspection; however, the contact was informed that the failures persisted, and the vehicle failed inspection. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 76,000.

Nissan issued Technical Service Bulletin NTB20-069 acknowledging this defect on 2014-2020 Rogue AWD vehicles built before certain VINs. My vehicle’s VIN is within the affected build range, yet I was told it is not covered because it is “not part of the recall.” Safety Concerns Failure of the AWD coupling affects vehicle handling, especially in wet or slippery conditions, creating a significant safety hazard. Request I believe this issue should be treated as a formal recall so that affected owners are not left with expensive, unsafe repairs for a known defect. Driver door will not open from outside or inside vehicle. Based on research this is an acuator issue that Nissan has known about since 2014 & failed to issue a recall. I am in the process of costly repair @ personal expense for a clear safety issue the know about & have failed to address, & would like reimbursement for. I have had to climb over/out passenger side several times to enter/exit car, thus far not being trapped, however it is not safe to not be able to quickly exit vehicle. Nor safe to manuver over console to exit this way. Nor is it safw not to be able to enter your parked vehicle. Nissan needs to issue a recall & cover repair expense on all makes/models & all doors affected, checking all 4 doirs, not just the one or 2 doors malfunctioning as this can/will affect all 4 doors.

The A/C does not work on the driver side making it impossible to defrost the windshield. The passenger side of the windshield defrosted, but not the drivers side making the vehicle impossible to drive as there was no vision for the driver. My mechanic had to disassemble the entire dashboard and found that the small plastic nob that allows the inside control to turn the air on and off had worn down. In order to drive safely, he removed the worn out piece and now the heat stays on 90 degrees and to have it turned off, he has to dismantle the entire dashboard. My husband got a quote from a dealer a year prior to his demise and it would have costs $4,000. So we resorted to drive his 2020 Nissan Rogue instead and left my vehicle parked most of the time. Now that the weather is 85+ I have to drive a vehicle that is blowing 90 on the driver and cannot be driven when raining because of the amount of steam generated due to the high temperature. At the current rate I have to have this procedure done twice a year just to drive the vehicle. I have found several videos on YouTube regarding the problem with Nissan Rogues and this particular issue. However, I can find no recall to help remedy the problem. Therefore, I am asking that Nissan find a permanent solution to this problem and have it fixed at Nissan expense. Thanks.

Driver seat moves back and forth while driving, speed control goes wild while driving, transmission does keep gear nor speed level .. leaking out of motor while the car is turned off after driving for a couple of minutes.. key jackknife is very week.. the safety issues of this vehicle is very scary wrote a letter to Nissan never hear back to to dealship and they were unable to help me.. car still under extended warranty but no one wants to honor it.. very sad.. please help I can’t afford another car, can barely afford this one..

My car has been hacked electronically. I've reported this to Nissan, and to the NIssan dealership at the 60,000 mile check-up. My safety has been impacted through the brakes coming on automatically (I just had them serviced - hopefully this will help), but if there is an electrical component, it may be tied into the navigation system as well. I do Door Dash, and at certain times, I've had my phone navigation fail, and then my car navigation fails for no reason. If one system fails, okay, because I have Google Maps on my phone and also car navigation. When all three aren't working at the same time - it is a targeted effort. There are also loud noises coming from the car speakers, I'm unsure if there is an issue with Nissan Connect? I'll give an approximate date, but these are happening multiple dates.

The contact mentioned that the clicking sound appeared to be coming from the battery. The contact stated that the entire warning lights illuminated and flickered on the instrument panel. The contact stated that the push-to-start button had to be pressed again to make the sound stop and then the vehicle had to be jumpstarted. last year the car was taken to the local Nissan dealer, all of a sudden the car battery needs Jump; it cost me 600 dollars and now the car is doing the same again; on the Nissan blog many 2018 Rogue owners experience the same issue. also there are all kind of warning lights coming up in my instrument panel scheduled as collision warning, parking. every time experience this I have taken the vehicle to a local Nissan dealer located in Doral, Florida. I have a 5 year old son and many times the car behaves erratic fearing for the life of my son and I, not to mentioned the times the vehicle won't start at a parking lot.

- Automatic Emergency Brake Malfunction. Was driving when suddenly without warning the vehicle started braking - flashing lights on dashboard. It all happened so fast and brief I did not see what the warning said. - At the time I did not know if it was the vehicle braking or a transmission issue, but after the event everything was back to normal. - My mechanic scanned the vehicle next morning and said there was an AEB incident recorded. - I have since turned the AEB feature off upon starting the car each time, but a warning will always pop up while driving - System Malfunction.

Unknown , on November 23, 2022. I [XXX] hit a deer that jumped out in front of me while driving 45, 50 mph not one airbag went off and I hit the deer pretty hard. The deer had broken legs and it was all broken up, scared me because not one airbag not no nothing was there to help me. I then called 911. The police officer arrived. Asked me if I need an ambulance. I said no he said I was very lucky because the crash was bad and then the car was towed and it took three months before I got my car back and now that I got my car back, it’s nothing like it was before it went in. My check engine light came on in my 2018 Nissan Rogue. I took it to the Nissan dealership where I purchased the car on 6/12/23 my odometer had 35,370 miles at this time. Service technician found that check engine light was on due to codes: PO447;PO075; and code PO012. Per the service receipt I received after paying $5.023 these were the listed issues and repairs: Short in the Electronic Control Ignition Harness. The Electronic Control Ignition Harness and the Ignition Power Distribution Module needed to be replaced. This is a known recall issue with past models on this same issue, but 2018 Nissan Rogue Models have not been recalled even though the problem still exists, at least with my vehicle. Thankfully no injuries or damaged cause by this defect because I was proactive to get it fixed. Called Nissan Motors Consumer Affairs too!

Often times my trunk closes on its own and has hit my head. The car does not recognize the key. I have seen the dealership for this and they fixed it, but then the issue comes back.

When using the voice control on the steering wheel of my 2018 Rogue in June 2023, the sound of my voice was not picked up by the microphone. I went online to look for recalls or repair information, and found a Reddit thread with many 2018 Rogue owners complaining of the same issue. I took the vehicle to the dealership. The dealership replicated the issue and found the Telematics Control Unit was not working. The technician also stated he has seen several of these stating, "Not a huge number, but quite a few." Since this is just one dealership, coupled with the online discussions, I believe this is a widespread problem that Nissan is aware of and has not voluntarily recalled. SAFETY: Many states have hands-free laws and the malfunctioning Telematics Control Unit does not allow the hands-free safety feature to work. Nissan is also asking $817 to rectify the issue, which could be cost prohibitive for some owners, causing them to forego the safety repair.

Car shut off by yourself while we were driving on the highway. The key just kind of fell apart.the key fob thing kinda bent over and the car just turned off. Scared the family came to a halt and called aaa. They saw the key bent over and showed us. Called nissan and they said it was not under warranty. because Called dealer, and they said I had to get a new one. Says it cost $500 for each fob. Crazy!

When the vehicle is turn off the radio is still on and playing when the car is off and had several diagnostic test nothing came back battery ran down 4 times in 1 week got new battery drained it in 2 days..pulled the fuse to audio battery hasn't drained since...something is not wired right...should not have to remove fuse of audio/radio on a 2018 vehicle...this needs to be recalled...please I spent $400 unnecessary dollars on this issue..please

I was driving on the expressway when my car started shaking and a malfunction message came on. My steering then started to steer only to the left and the car would not allow me to control the steering any longer. I hit the median wall, did a 360 and was facing the opposite direction of traffic. The door initially would not unlock to let me out. I kept trying in a panic and all of a sudden they unlocked for me to get out. My car was totaled out by my insurance company.

On 12/17/2022 I was driving 45 mph down a straight road. Suddenly the vehicle swerved left into oncoming traffic (so I was face to face with another vehicle), then swerved right very hard and then left again. My car was its two left tires only for a few seconds during this time. After it swerved across the lane 3 times, I was able to control the steering wheel again. I just missed the car in the opposing lane and my car was also heading towards a telephone poll before I regained the ability to control the car again. During this incident my steering wheel was straight the whole time and did not control the vehicle. I did not hit the brakes or acceleration for fear of a rollover because it was swerving so hard. There were no warning lights on the dashboard during this time or after the incident. About 3 minutes before this incident occurred, my car did something similar and swerved hard to the right while the steering wheel was straight and I did not have control of the steering for a few seconds. Mechanics in the area were called and mentioned that it could be the steering motor that could be failing but were unable to look at the vehicle. I had a mechanic come to my house and he said he could not find a error code on my vehicle's system. The car has not been driven since the incident.

There is a problem with my engine room harness, and it is corroding. My car was not on the recall for an engine room cover. My wires are corroded. It has never been issued for a recall, and the Nissan repair shop has indicated this is a problem with the E27 sensor. This is the report from Nissan Repair: "Customer states that car runs rough and lights are on. I found that key will not turn on. Checked battery voltages, they are at 12.1 volts. Checked pin fit on all fuses that go to the battery. I found that connector e27 was very corroded. We will have to start with replace the fuseable link. While replacing, found that corrosion has made its way down through wires. Car now needs engine room harness." Therefore, this is not a normal wear and tear but a situation that the cover was not issued during the design of this vehicle. Please issue a recall for my vehicle so that I can continue to get where I need to safely and securely without stalling and without spending money out of my pocket for this issue.

Used key fob to unlock driver's door. Would not work. Used valet key. Started car, open drivers window and notice that nothing else in the cabin was operational. A/C would not turn on, could not put it in gear. Radio wouldn't function. The dash and console were dark. No message flashed. Couldn't exit the car as door wouldn't open. However, THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO RUN. Hung out open door to unlock with valet key. Called AAA, they couldn't stop engine from running and stated they weren't "authorized" to do anything else. Called Nissan emergency number and person came out and couldn't shut off engine and finally had to disconnect the alternator to stop car from running. After reconnecting the alternator, he could not start car. I called a tow truck the next morning and at that time, the car started. Nissan service garage couldn't replicate that problem except said that the actuator in the door had failed and needed replaced - but that wouldn't cause the other issues. They had car for over a week and could not replicate the problem of the car engine running while every other car function was not operational. The car has only 3824 miles on it although it is a 2018. This is a major safety issue. Contacted Nissan Customer Care Service. Since the problem wasn't replicated, they said they couldn't help. I feel unsafe and won't drive car due to no one being able to explain why that happened or whether it will happen again.

Less than a month later the driver side heat went back out and when I took it back to the dealership in Avon, Indiana I was told the manufacturers were not making the part currently, this was in November and December 2021 and I still have no heat.

I’ve had the car check and they thought it was the battery they did a check and the battery’s and all the parts are fine. The backup camera periodically freezes when you put the vehicle in reverse. Other times, the screen will stay black or just show the Nissan logo until you cycle power. The safety of all inside the vehicle and around the vehicle is at risk when the backup camera feed freezes, especially if the operator doesn't realize the feed is frozen. This vehicle is currently operated outside of the US but will be available for inspection upon return. The issue is intermittent so it has not been reproduced in the presence of any service center. There were no warning messages involved.

The trunk hatch sensor does not always detect when there is someone in the trunk. I have had multiple incidents where whether I use the fob or the manual button on the truck door it’s self it will open and then immediately start to close when I am standing underneath it. I have almost gotten pinned under the trunk door and had to quickly get out from underneath before it closed.

MY VEHICLE STARTED DOING THIS AFTER A VISIT TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP (2551 THE NALLEY WAY, ATLANTA, GA 30360) FOR A SIMPLE OIL CHANGE. I TOOK IT BACK THE FOLLOWING DAY WHEN THE ISSUE BEGAN AND THEY TOLD ME THEY WERE NOT RESPONSIBLE AND THAT IT WAS A COMMON ISSUE OF MY FRONT-DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR FAILING AND THAT IT WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. FEELING DEFEATED AFTER TRYING TO REASON WITH MANAGEMENT THAT IT WAS NOT HAVING THIS ISSUE BEFORE THEY SERVICED MY VEHICLE, I DECIDED TO LEAVE IT ALONE. HOWEVER, RECENTLY MY NIECE AND I WERE OUT SHOPPING AND NOTICED THAT WE WERE BEING FOLLOWED BY A STRANGE ACTING MAN. WE TOOK OFF RUNNING TOWARD MY VEHICLE TRYING TO REACH SAFETY, BUT WHAT HAPPENS? THE DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR FAILS AND I'M UNABLE TO ENTER MY OWN VEHICLE! OUR ONLY SAVING GRACE WAS THAT ANOTHER MAN IN THE PARKING LOT NOTICED THAT WE WERE TRYING TO FLEA FROM DANGER AND INTERVENED TO GET THE OTHER MAN AWAY FROM US. IT WAS TERRIFYING! I'M NOT SURE WHAT MAY HAVE HAPPENED TO MY NIECE AND I HAD HE NOT STEPPED IN AND I HATE TO EVEN THINK ABOUT IT. FAST FORWARD A FEW DAYS AND IT BEGINS TO RAIN FOR DAYS STRAIGHT AND I'M LEFT FIDDLING WITH MY KEYS TO OPEN MY DOOR, WHILE ALSO HOLDING A PURSE, BABY BAG, AND BABY ON MY HIP AND TRYING TO BALANCE AN UMBRELLA TO KEEP US DRY. IMAGINE THE SIGHT OF THAT. IT'S SO FRUSTRATING! AT FIRST I THOUGHT THAT MAYBE MY KEY BATTERY WAS DYING AND DECIDED TO GET THE BATTERY REPLACED BEFORE RETURNING TO THE DEALERSHIP BUT THE BATTERY WAS NOT THE ISSUE. I'VE NEVER HEARD OF DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR FAILURE AND BELIEVE IT TO BE A MANUFACTURING ERROR AND SAFETY HAZARD. BRAND NEW 2018 NISSAN ROGUE, DRIVING TO WORK AT AROUND 6AM ROUGHLY 30MPH. WAS JAMMING OUT AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE CAR COMES TO A COMPLETE STOP WITHOUT ANY WARNING. LAPTOP BAG WHICH WAS ON THE FRONT SEAT SLAMMED INTO THE DASH, LUCKILY I WAS WEARING MY SEATBELT OR I WOULD HAVE HAD NISSAN STEERING WHEEL FOR BREAKFAST. THIS ISSUE HAPPENED IN 2019 AND IT IS STILL HAPPENING IN 2021 AFTER MANY MANY ATTEMPTS TO HAVE NISSAN TAKE THIS VEHICLE BACK. NISSAN I DO NOT FEEL SAFE IN THIS VEHICLE.

LEASED A 2018 NISSAN ROGUE IN AUGUST OF 2018 AND STARTED HAVING ELECTRICAL ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE. WHILE DRIVING, THE NAVIGATION SCREEN, CENTER CLUSTER WHERE THE SPEEDOMETER IS AND ALL AIR CONDITION AND ELECTRONICS WOULD POWER OFF AND RESTART ITSELF, AS IF I WAS CRANKING THE VEHICLE UP. TOOK THE CAR IN FOR SERVICE AND THE DEALERSHIP STATED THEY HAD NEVER SEEN THIS ISSUE BEFORE AND THAT THEY DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO FIX IT. THE DEALERSHIP CALLED ME THE NEXT DAY STATING THE CAR WAS READY. ON MY WAY HOME FROM THE DEALER, THE SENSOR SYSTEM THAT WORKS WITH THE AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING FAILED. I TOTALED THE VEHICLE AND FRACTURED C5, C6, C7 IN MY NECK, AND HAD TO WEAR A CERVICAL COLLAR FOR 4 MONTHS FOLLOWING THE ACCIDENT. I ALSO SUFFERED A CONCUSSION. NISSAN TOOK OVER AND STARTED THEY NEEDED TO PERFORM AN INVESTIGATION. THEY FOUND AN ISSUE WITH THE SENSOR SYSTEM IN THE CAR, AND THE AEB WAS NOT FUNCTIONING. THIS COULD HAVE ALL BEEN AVOIDED. 10 MONTHS LATER THEY SEND OUT A CUSTOMER SERVICE INITIATIVE TO HAVE THE CAR UPDATED AND LOOKED AT AGAIN. HOWEVER THE CAR WAS NO LONGER IN MY POSSESSION.

ON THE FIRST VISIT THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE AEB SENSOR NEEDED TO BE RESET HOWEVER, THE CONTACT WAS UNSURE IF THE MECHANIC HAD RESET THE SENSOR. THIS IS A NEW INCIDENT FOR SAME VEHICLE REPORTED IN NHTSA INCIDENT #11308847. THE VEHICLE WAS ATTEMPTED TO BE PICKED UP FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE FEBRUARY 10, 2020 WHEN IT WAS INVOLVED IN A WRECK ON THAT DATE. VEHICLE HAD BEEN WITH NISSAN REPRESENTATIVES CONTINUOUSLY SINCE THAT DATE. THE VEHICLE HAD SAT UNATTENDED FOR SEVERAL MONTHS DUE TO ISSUES REPORTED IN NHTSA INCIDENT #11308847. NISSAN PROVIDED WRITTEN RESPONSE THE VEHICLE'S BODY DAMAGE WAS REPAIRED BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO REPRODUCE ANY COMPUTER ISSUES. CONSUMER WAS INSTRUCTED TO PICK-UP VEHICLE BY TODAY. THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED WHILE AT THE NISSAN FACILITY AND LEFT RUNNING FOR A LITTLE WHILE AS THE BATTERY HAD COMPLETELY DISCHARGED. DURING THE FINAL CHECK BEFORE I LEFT THE NISSAN FACILITY, THE VEHICLE'S IGNITION WAS ENGAGED AND THE VEHICLE WAS FULLY RUNNING. HOWEVER, NUMEROUS LIGHTS ON THE DASHBOARD WERE ILLUMINATED THAT SHOULD NOT BE ILLUMINATED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND TURNED ON. THESE LIGHTS INCLUDED POWER STEERING, ABS, BRAKE, CHECK ENGINE, OIL PRESSURE, AND A FEW OTHER LIGHTS. ADDITIONALLY, THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WAS COMPLETELY UNRESPONSIVE IN TERMS OF BLOWING AIR OR RUNNING ANY FANS. UPON TAKING THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL NISSAN DEALERSHIP, I WAS INFORMED THAT THE ENGINE WIRING HARNESS WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THIS IS A PROBLEM, IN AND OF ITSELF, BECAUSE THIS COMPONENT CAN TYPICALLY LAST FOR THE LIFETIME OF A VEHICLE EXCEPT IN CASES FOR WHICH THERE IS EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE SUCH AS AN ACCIDENT OR FLOOD, NEITHER OF WHICH HAVE BEEN THE CASE. MULTIPLE EXTERNAL SERVICE TECHNICIANS HAVE AGREED THAT THIS TYPE OF MECHANICAL FAILURE SHOULD NOT BE OCCURRING IN A NEWER MODEL VEHICLE WITH LESS THAN 50,000 MILES. IT IS MY FIRM BELIEF THAT THE MECHANICAL FAILURE OF A COMPONENT WHICH RARELY FAILS POINT TO POOR QUALITY OF CRAFTSMANSHIP AND SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED AS A POTENTIAL RECALL ISSUE AS IT POSES A SAFETY ISSUE AND THE OCCURRENCE OF SUCH AN ISSUE AT THIS STAGE OF A VEHICLE'S LIFE IS HIGHLY UNLIKELY.

BOUGHT THIS CAR BE WITH 42 MILES ON IT. ABOUT A MONTH AFTER I BOUGHT IT THE AEB SYSTEM STARTED ACTIVATING AND SLAMMING THE BRAKES WHEN NOTHING WAS IN FRONT OF ME. I HAD NEVER HAD A CAR WITH THIS FEATURE BEFORE. I LATER GOT A NOTICE TO BRING IT IN TO A DEAL FOR AN UPDATE BEFORE THE WARRANTY WENT OUT. THE CAR IS NOW OUT OF WARRANTY AND HAS BEGUN DOING THE SAME THING AGAIN. I WAS DRIVING 65 ON THE INTERSTATE WITH NO TRAFFIC OR OBSTACLES IN FRONT OF ME. THE WARNING SYSTEM WENT OFF THEN IMMEDIATELY ACTIVATES THE BRAKES SLOWING ME DOWN TO 40 MILES AN HOUR. THANKFULLY THE CAR BEHIND ME WAS ABLE TO REACT IN TIME TO SWERVE AND MISS ME. I GOT TJE ONE FINGER SALUTE FROM THE DRIVER OF THAT VEHICLE. IT IS NOW HAPPENING MORE AND MORE FREQUENTLY. I WAS TOLD BY DEALER THAT SINCE IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR ANOTHER UPDATE. I CAN'T AFFORD TO PAY THAT RIGHT NOW. ANYWAY THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN CORRECTED WHEN THEY DID THE FIRST UPDATE ON THE AEB SOFTWARE. PURCHASES FROM BENTON NISSAN IN BESSEMER, AL BUT HAVE HAD ALL SERVICE PERFORMED BY SIERRA NISSAN OF SYLACAUGA,AL. BUT I HAVE QUIT UTILIZING SERRA NISSA SINCE THEY PUT THE WRONG TYPE OF OIL IN MY CAR AND REFUSES TO FIX THE PROBLEM EVEN THOUGH THEY ADMITTED TO THE MISTAKE ALSO IT WAS PRINTED THE SERVIVE RECEIPT AS PROOF THAT THEY OIL THEY USES WAS INCORRECT.

THE RADIO HAD BEEN REPLACED THREE SEPERATE TIMES. BUT THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS CONTINUED TO FAIL. THE DEALER KEPT THE VEHICLE FOR THREE WEEKS, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED WITH THE RADIO TURNING ON AT HIGH VOLUME. THE DEALER ADMITTED THAT THE VEHICLE'S ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS HAD MAJOR DEFECTS. AND OTHER ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. BROUGHT THE ROGUE BACK TO LEBRUN 5 MORE TIMES TO GET THESE NOTICEABLE VIBRATIONS CORRECTED. BOTH THE OWNER & NISSAN FACTORY REP.DROVE THE CAR AND BOTH AGREED THAT I HAD VIBRATIONS IN THE STEERING WHEEL, ETC. WHY? THEIR ANSWERS WERE: "IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE TRANSMISSION." IF NISSAN KNOWS WHAT THE PROBLEM IS, WHY ARE THEY CONTINUING TO SELL THESE CARS WITH A KNOWN ENGINEERING DESIGNED-IN DEFECT? I ASKED FOR MY MONEY BACK BUT LEBRUN WON'T BECAUSE HE DIDN'T BUILD THE CAR. AND NISSAN? THEY TOO REFUSED & HONOR THEIR WARRANTIES AND PROMISES. I FIND THAT THE DEALERSHIP OWNER, NISSAN & THE FACTORY REP. TO BE CORRUPT AND UNETHICAL IN REFUSING TO LIVE UP TO THEIR PUBLISHED WARRANTIES AND PROMISES. THE FACT THAT NISSAN & LEBRUN HAVE KNOWN ABOUT THESE SEVERE VIBRATION PROBLEMS FOR YEARS & THE FACTORY REP. HAD "DETERMINED MY VEHICLE WAS OPERATING AS DESIGNED" IS UNTRUE. NISSAN HAS REFUSED TO FIX THIS ENGINEERING DESIGNED-IN FLAW IS TRULY UNACCEPTABLE & BORDERS ON THE CRIMINAL, ESPECIALLY FOR THE FACT THAT THEY'RE STILL THERE IN THE 2019 AND 2020 ROGUE MODELS. I DROVE A 2020 ROGUE WITH THE OWNER AND THE VIBRATIONS ARE STILL THERE. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE IT TO LOCAL MECHANIC WHO RAN DIAGNOSTICS AND STATED THERE WERE TOO MANY CODES REGARDING THE ELECTRIC SYSTEM AND RECOMMENDED I TAKE IT TO DEALERSHIP. TOOK IT TO LOCAL DEALER, DIAGNOSTICS WERE RUN AGAIN, AND THEY REPORTED THEY WERE NOT SURE OF THE ISSUE, SUSPECTED DAMAGE TO THE MAF SENSOR (WHICH WAS THEN THROWING OFF THE REPORT OF ALL OTHER SENSORS). THEY REPLACED IT WITH NISSAN MANUFACTURED PART AND ELECTRIC TAPE AND I WAS TOLD IT WAS GOOD TO GO. 2ND TIME - STATIONARY MAKING A LEFT ONTO BUSY MAIN STREET, CAR SHUDDERED, STALLED, NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMPLETELY STOPPED. UNABLE TO DRIVE IT, WHEN CHANGING GEARS IT JUST COASTED BACKWARDS (DUE TO THE HILL I WAS ON). HAD IT TOWED TO THE SAME DEALER, TOLD THE SAME THING AS PREVIOUS VISIT 'NOT SURE WHAT'S WRONG, PROBABLY THE SENSOR,' WAS TOLD THEY REPLACED IT AGAIN WITH NISSAN MANUFACTURED PART AND 'TAPED UP REAL GOOD THIS TIME.' HOWEVER COULD NOT GUARANTEE IT WOULDN'T HAPPEN AGAIN, ALSO STILL NO IDEA WHAT EXACTLY CAUSED THE STALLING. 3RD TIME- DRIVING STRAIGHT AFTER BEING STOPPED AT RES LIGHT, CAR STALLS, ENGINE LIGHT BACK ON, AND UNABLE TO DRIVE IT. TAKATA RECALL 2 OCCASIONS VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, ONCE 35+ MPH AND 40MPH. CAR LITERALLY STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD WITH MOVING TRAFFIC. DEALERSHIP CLAIMED IT WAS THE SENSOR THE FIRST TIME & SWITCHED IT. HAPPENED SECOND TIME TODAY & ALMOST CAUSED MULTIPLE FATAL WRECKS. BOTH TIMES ON BUSY ROADS & THIS TIME EXITING A BRIDGE INTO ON COMING TRAFFIC AND MULTIPLE LANES. I'M SCARED TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE. BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW. FIST COUPLE MONTHS HAD SENT VIDEO AND REPORTED ON 3 OCCASIONS WHERE THE RADIO SCREEN WAS ALSO DEFECTIVE AND THEY REPLACED IT. ON BOTH OCCASIONS THIS HAS BEEN TRAUMATIZING AND JUST LOOKING AT THE COMPUTER IS NOT ENOUGH! I PUT DOWN $8K AND TRADED IN A VEHICLE TO BUY MY FIRST NEW CAR, ONLY FOR IT TO BECOME A DEATH TRAP!

NISSAN SOUTH (6889 JONESBORO RD, MORROW, GA 30260, (678) 619-3104) STATED THAT THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WAS BEING APPLIED BECAUSE THE BRAKING SYSTEM SIGNALED THE WIRING OR SIGNS FROM A PARTICULAR SECTION OF THE ROAD. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED TO SHUT OFF THE SYSTEM WHEN APPROACHING THAT PORTION OF THE ROAD AND THEN TURN IT ON AGAIN AFTERWARDS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE ONLY OCCURRED ALONG THAT PORTION OF THE ROAD. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE DEALER OFFERED NO OTHER SUGGESTIONS FOR THE REPAIR AND DID NOT DIAGNOSE THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 32,000.

THE CAR'S AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEM BRAKES SUDDENLY WITHOUT WARNING AND RANDOMLY. IT DOES SO WITHOUT ANY OBSTACLES OR OBSTRUCTIONS VISIBLE, OR WHEN VEHICLES ARE IN THE VECINITY WHILE DRIVING. THIS PROPOSED SAFETY FEATURE IN ACTUALLITY HAS MADE THESE EXPERIENCES FEEL IT AS UNSAFE. I HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM FOR A YEAR AND A HALF. TO REMEDY THE SITUATION I HAVE TURNED OFF THE AUTOMATIC BRAKING FEATURE OFF, SINCE IT DOES NOT WORK. AND ON THE CONTRARY IT ACTUALLY MAKES THE SUV FEEL MORE UNSAFE.

TROUBLE WITH THE ELECTRONICS FROM NEW. OCCASIONALLY WHEN I HANG UP THE PHONE ON BLUETOOTH, THE RADIO VOLUME IS FULL BLAST. IT DOES ADJUST THE VOLUME AFTER A COUPLE SECONDS. THEN THE AEB WAS ENGAGING WHEN THERE WERE NO OBSTACLES, NOT GOING UP A RAMP, NOTHING. THIS OCCURRED AT LOWER SPEEDS, THREE TIMES IN A PARKING DECK AND ONCE IN A PARKING LOT. SO I MENTIONED IT AND THE 'ADVISORY' CARD I RECEIVED FROM NISSAN WHEN I BROUGHT IT IN FOR THE 15K OIL CHANGE. THE DEALER TOLD ME THEY DID A SW UPGRADE AND ALL WAS WELL. DRIVING THE CAR THE NEXT DAY AND THE POWER STEERING WAS OUT (WARNING LIGHT ON), AEB WARNING LIGHT ON AND THE CLIMATE CONTROL WAS COMPLETELY BLACK. TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP, WHERE IT HAS BEEN FOR OVER TWO WEEKS NOW. THEY SAID THEY HAVE TRIED NEW COMPUTER MODULES, BUT CANNOT SEEM TO GET IT RESOLVED. THE ELECTRONICS NEVER SEEMED RIGHT WITH THIS VEHICLE AND I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF IT NOW.

I WAS IN OUR PARKING LOT GOING TO PARK MY CAR SO I WAS GOING ABOUT 7-10 MILES PER HOUR AND ALL OF A SUDDEN OUT OF NOWHERE MY CAR CAME TO AN ABRUPT HALT! IT BREAKED ON ITS OWN AND THERE WERE NO ACTIVE VEHICLES PULLING OUT FOR IT TO DO THAT. IT DID IT 3 TIMES ON 3 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS BUT THE LAST ONE SCARED ME BECAUSE I DID HAVE VEHICLES BEHIND AND I WOULD HAVE BEEN HIT, IT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN THEIR FAULT IF MY CAR WAS ACTING UP AS SUCH. THEN A WEEK LATER I HAD RANDOM LIGHTS ON MY DASHBOARD TURN ON WITH NO REASON TO LIGHT UP, ALL THIS WHILE DRIVING A REGULAR 40 MPH ROAD, I HAD IN ONE DAY THE COLLISION LIGHT, THE ABS AND THE ! OVER THE PAST 3 MONTHS, WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, I WOULD HEAR A SERIES OF 3 BEEPS AND THE COLLISION DETECT WARNING LIGHT WOULD LIGHT UP FOR A BRIEF MOMENT. THIS HAS HAPPENED ABOUT 6 TIMES. ON ONE OCCASION THE VEHICLE SLOWED DOWN BRIEFLY AS WELL. HOWEVER, LAST WEEK WHILE DRIVING ON A RESIDENTIAL STREET NEAR MY HOME, DRIVING ABOUT 25 MPH, THE VEHICLE MADE THE 3 BEEP SOUND AND THIS TIME CAME TO A SUDDEN AND EXTREME STOP. IT ALSO MADE A GRINDING NOISE WHICH I ASSUME WAS FROM THE BRAKES BEING APPLIED SUDDENLY.

THIS VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH A FRONT RADAR SYSTEM WHICH WILL APPLY EMERGENCY BREAKING IF OBJECTS ARE SENSED TO BE IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE WHILE IT'S IN MOTION. ON JAN 29, 2019, MY VEHICLE ENGAGED EMERGENCY BRAKING WHILE I WAS CROSSING A RAILROAD CROSSING ON A ROUGH CITY STREET. THE VEHICLE BEGAN BEEPING, CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP, THE BRAKE PEDAL AUTOMATICALLY PRESSED ALL THE WAY DOWN, AND WOULD NOT DRIVE UNTIL I PRESSED THE BRAKE. THIS LEFT ME SITTING ON AN ACTIVE RAIL CROSSING WITH A VEHICLE COMING UP BEHIND ME. THIS SIMILAR SITUATION HAS HAPPENED TO ME SEVERAL OTHER TIMES WHILE CROSSING UNDER BRIDGES AND ENTERING PARKING GARAGES BUT IN THOSE CASES, ONLY LIGHT BRAKING OCCURRED AND I WAS ABLE TO PROCEED WITHOUT NEEDING TO PRESS THE BRAKE.

HOW CAN A VEHICLE'S BRAKING SYSTEM BE UNAVAILABLE, YET THERE IS NO ISSUE? THE ISSUE SHOULD BE RECALLED. PERHAPS RELOCATE THE SENSOR. ALSO, IF IT IS IN FACT DUE TO A FROSTY EMBLEM, THEY SHOULD ADD A HEATED EMBLEM TO PREVENT THE BUILD UP.

ON ALL THE OTHER OCCASSIONS, THERE WAS NO OBSTRUCTION TO THE RADAR. THE BRAKES COME ON, THE AEB LIGHT ON THE CONSOLE COMES ON, A WARNING FLASHES, AND THEN THE CAR MOVES ON AS IF NOTHING HAPPENED. AFTER DOING THIS SEVERAL TIMES OVER SEVERAL MILES, THE AEB LIGHT COMES ON AND IT DESPLAYS AN ERROR MESSAGE ABOUT THE FRONT RADAR IS NOT WORKING AND THE CRUISE IS DISABLED. ON ONE OF THE OCCASSIONS A LARGE PICKUP TRUCK TOWING A TRAILER WAS RIGHT BEHIND ME WHEN THE CAR SUDDENLY PUT ON THE BRAKES. FORTUNATELY, HE WAS ABLE TO STOP BEFORE HITTING MY CAR. WHEN I HAD THE CAR SERVICED AT THE DEALER, I TOLD THE SERVICE REP ABOUT THE ISSUE. HE INDICATED THAT A SHADOW OR SOMETHING LIKE A LEAF BLOWN ACROSS THE RADAR CAN CAUSE IT TO REACT. I DID NOT NOTICE ANY OCCRENCE OF SUCH. I AM EXTREMELY CONCERNED THAT SOMEONE FOLLOWING TO CLOSE WILL END UP RAMMING ME IN THE REAR END. AFTER DOING AN INTERNET SEARCH, I HAVE FOUND MULTIPLE OCCURENCES OF THIS PROBLEM AND THAT NISSAN HAS SENT OUT SEVERAL TECHNICAL BULLETINS ABOUT THE PROBLEM. AS NOTED ABOVE, THERE HAVE BEEN MULTIPLE EVENTS OF THIS TYPE. IT TYPICALLY HAPPENS ON THE HIGHWAY.

BLIND SPOT INDICATOR FAILED SEVERAL TIMES WHEN PASSING A TRACTOR TRAILER. WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT WITH A STORM COMING THE HEADLIGHTS AND DASH LIGHTS WENT OUT ALONG WITH LIGHTS GOING DIM FOR NO REASON SEVERAL OTHER TIMES. HAD ONE INSTANCE WHEN PULLED THE WIPERS TO CLEAN THE WINDSHIELD, THE SPRAYER WORKED BUT THE WIPERS DID NOT. ALOT OF ELECTRICAL ISSUES. TOOK TO DEALER 4 TIMES IN A MONTH SO THEY COULD "DUPLICATE" THE PROBLEMS, I ADVISED THAT THERE IS NO PATTERN TO THESE PROBLEMS. THEY TOLD ME TO CALL NISSAN USA IN TENNESSEE, I DID AND WENT BACK AND FORTH AND THEY SENT A NISSAN TECH TO THE DEALERSHIP. HE DIDN'T DRIVE THE CAR AND ADVISED WE DELETE ALL PHONES FROM THE CAR AND DRIVE IT THAT WAY FOR A FEW WEEKS. ALL PROBLEMS STILL GOING ON. NISSAN USA CALLED TODAY AND SAID TO GO BACK TO THE DEALER, THE CASE IS CLOSED AND THE DEALER MAYBE CAN WORK WITH US ON IT. THEY REASSURED ME THAT WE STILL HAVE THE WARRANTY SO THESE PROBLEMS ARE STILL COVERED. ALL INSTANCES HAPPENED WHETHER DRIVING, STARTING OR PARKING THE CAR. SO 4 TRIPS, 2 RENTAL CARS AND 2 DAYS OF MISSED WORK IN A MONTH AND DRIVING WHAT WE FEEL IS AN UNSAFE CAR.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER (SOUTH SHORE NISSAN, 200 SUNRISE HWY, AMITYVILLE, NY 11701, 516-366-3503) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT A SOFTWARE UPDATE WAS NEEDED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE CONTACT DECLINED TO TAKE POSSESSION OF THE VEHICLE BECAUSE THERE WAS NO GUARANTEE THAT THE VEHICLE WAS SAFE TO DRIVE.
