Engine seems very weak. Not enough power to safely pass on a highway. Absolutely gutless and sometimes upon acceleration and/or braking it jerks.
After driving for awhile it will take a minute once putting foot on the gas for car to take off at a traffic light. Also malfunction error comes up on dashboard and car starts to slow down and try’s to cut off. Have to pull over and turn off the car, wait for a few minutes then restart the car.
The contact owns a 2018 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH on the highway, the vehicle suddenly decelerated to 40 MPH. The contact stated that the vehicle was jumping while accelerating. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact pulled over safely and restarted the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to three independent mechanics who determined that there was a malfunction error and CVT judder. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 141,832.

Engine burning oil and leaks. Only 62,000 miles. Car accelerated when brake was being applied
After driving home from an appointment tonight 9/14/2024, my Nissan Rogue 2018 began shuttering, stalling and jerking. I was only 3 miles from home, and it happened all the way home, with times I didn't think the vehicle was going to restart. I was in saturday afternoon traffic and cars where swerving around me avoiding my car, and trying to not hit me. Vehile mileage is 71,256 miles and only myself as owner in it's entire history. I've had allthe oil and fluid changes necessary for it to operate. I have left a message by contacting Nissan USA, and will be contacting attorney because I am almost certain it's my CVT transmission failing.
While driving on the highway at 75 mph my Nissan Rogue lost its ability to accelerate and maintain its speed while on cruise control. The CVT transmission has abruptly become faulty and now has internal issues according to Polo S Mechanic shop. This is a 6-year-old vehicle, and no warning signs were/are present. I would like this investigated.
My car has an engine issue at 45000 miles and needs a replacement of engine. My safety was put at risk because driving a car with engine issue is very dangerous with potential brake loss. This issue was diagnosed by the official dealership. The engine light was on.
On 3/5/24 I had a collision with a large deer. The front of the car was impacted. The air bags did not deploy. I was driving at 50 mph. I have sent my concern to Nissan but they have not responded. Approximately $10,000 in damage was done.
The engine block cracked, and is available for inspection. Our family’s safety was in jeopardy because the engine block crack caused dangerous engine overheating. It could have caused a dangerous breakdown. Two independent mechanics have verified the problem, and identified it as pertaining to Nissan recall NTB20-25A, but Nissan has not included our vehicle in the engine recall. The vehicle has not been inspected by anyone else other than the mechanics. The engine temperature display indicated the problem. We took the vehicle to the mechanic based on that warning sign. The problem first appeared around Jan 5th
Piston rod broke and fell through oil pan causing damage. Ultimately resulting on car shutting down on freeway and having to be towed in the early hours of the morning. This could’ve resulted in major accident putting myself and others lives in danger. I’m unsure if problem has been reproduced. Vehicle has yet to be inspected by manufacturer. There were no warnings messages or symptoms previous to what happened.
Unknown , on November 23, 2022. I [XXX] hit a deer that jumped out in front of me while driving 45, 50 mph not one airbag went off and I hit the deer pretty hard. The deer had broken legs and it was all broken up, scared me because not one airbag not no nothing was there to help me. I then called 911. The police officer arrived. Asked me if I need an ambulance. I said no he said I was very lucky because the crash was bad and then the car was towed and it took three months before I got my car back and now that I got my car back, it’s nothing like it was before it went in. We have had a gas smell in our garage, outside the car and inside the cabin and inside our house since 2022 and the service technician confirmed it but said I'd have to pay $160 for them to diagnose it plus parts and labor to fix it. There are lots of "Nissan Rogue gas smell in cabin" complaints AND there is a class action lawsuit filed on the 2020-2023 models. I've seen the same complaints as far back as 2009 so they have been alerted and know about this faulty assembly problem for years and have not taken responsibility for fixing it. We've gotten used to it and a neighbor came over yesterday and said he was getting nauseated from the smell in our living area so I put it out in driveway and this a.m. it wasn't as bad. It's a health and fire hazard and we have gas stove. I'm not sure if local TV Action Reporter could get anything done or if we should hire a lawyer. People walking up to my car exclaim "I smell gas!" No warnings on dash. It seems to be faulty assembly of fuel line to tank or in that area as it's strongest in back seat. My wife has MGUS, arthritis and other medical problems and this is causing a lot of mental stress worrying that the car will catch on fire while we're in it! I will Never buy another Nissan now that I see that they don't care what happens once you buy it! Please answer asap as we use it everyday and don't want cancer, etc. from inhaling gas fumes. Purely breathing the fumes (gasoline inhalation) can result in the following symptoms: coughing and other breathing difficulties, headaches/dizziness, heart failure, and more. Because of how the hydrocarbons attack the nervous system, a wide range of symptoms is possible, but they can all eventually be deadly.
The contact owns a 2018 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving approximately 15 MPH and slowing for a traffic signal, the vehicle stalled. The contact stated the "AEB Malfunction" and the symbol of a rear end collision warning was illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent, however the failure had become a recurring failure. Additionally, the contact stated that the RPM was fluctuating however, the vehicle failed to respond. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the ADAS control module and AEB system needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 96,000.

So the CVT transmission on my 2018 Nissan Rouge has begun to fail. I ask my personal mechanic and took it to Star Nissan in Illinois and both said that the transmission is wearing out quicker than normal, they suggested I see if it had been recalled, and to my surprise, it hasn't and they are guessing that the transmission was worn out before I bought it. They were recalled for the same problem but were never taken. The bad thing is that there is no error or light that says the transmission is failing. I drive with the car on a daily and risk my life and others just cause the car doesn't move and I need to turn it off and turn it back on so it resets. The car smells like burning metal from the transmission. When I go 20 the rpms hit 5000 which should be normal.
Ignition Key does not turn on the vehicle. Key does not correspond with the vehicle to turn on or open door.
The contact owns a 2018 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving 40 MPH, the vehicle started to shudder. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.

The contact owns a 2018 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while starting the vehicle, she heard an abnormal sound and saw black smoke coming the rear of the vehicle. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the abnormal sound had progressed. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic and was informed that an oil change and filter replacement was needed. The vehicle was repaired but continued to experience failure. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer on March 31, 2022, where it was diagnosed with needing an oil change and filter replacement. The vehicle was repaired but continued to experience the failure with the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer again on April 5, 2022, where it was diagnosed with needing brake service and other unknown repairs. The vehicle was repaired; but continued to experience the failure. The vehicle was repaired but the engine seized on January 19, 2023. The contact was not drivable. The contact towed the vehicle to another independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with needing the engine to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the vehicle was able to restart. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 29,574.

Used key fob to unlock driver's door. Would not work. Used valet key. Started car, open drivers window and notice that nothing else in the cabin was operational. A/C would not turn on, could not put it in gear. Radio wouldn't function. The dash and console were dark. No message flashed. Couldn't exit the car as door wouldn't open. However, THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO RUN. Hung out open door to unlock with valet key. Called AAA, they couldn't stop engine from running and stated they weren't "authorized" to do anything else. Called Nissan emergency number and person came out and couldn't shut off engine and finally had to disconnect the alternator to stop car from running. After reconnecting the alternator, he could not start car. I called a tow truck the next morning and at that time, the car started. Nissan service garage couldn't replicate that problem except said that the actuator in the door had failed and needed replaced - but that wouldn't cause the other issues. They had car for over a week and could not replicate the problem of the car engine running while every other car function was not operational. The car has only 3824 miles on it although it is a 2018. This is a major safety issue. Contacted Nissan Customer Care Service. Since the problem wasn't replicated, they said they couldn't help. I feel unsafe and won't drive car due to no one being able to explain why that happened or whether it will happen again.
The vehivle itself locked up and stopped while driving in the middle of traffic.
While driving the car randomly turns off I’ve had the car serivced and they can’t figure out the problem. It randomly stalls. Many people are having this problem if you just look up any Nissan rouge in 2018 review a lot have the said the same thing I’ve been lucky enough to notice before it happens but it could lead to someone’s death if not seriously looked at
I received a Chassis Control System Error. When I tried to restart my car after it randomly shut off. I’ve had the car check and they thought it was the battery they did a check and the battery’s and all the parts are fine. They couldn’t find the problem, this is dangerous because car stopped while driving.
The contact owns a 2018 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at 35 MPH, the vehicle inadvertently shut off and restarted independently. The failure occurred on two separate occasions. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
Mileage: 30,000
Vehicle failed to accelerate properly on an uphill incline. It felt as though it was stuck in a lower gear and unable accelerate due to gear change causing engine revving and shuddering. Very frightening experience which has now occurred twice.
Cut transmission
The automatic brake employed even though there was no vehicles or objects in front. Only lets car speed up to about 60 mph but still applying the emergency brake. Also transmission light is on. Undriveable.
On June 10, 2021, I was driving my vehicle preparing to merge on the interstate to go home when all of a sudden the AEB Warning light activates and I cannot not safely drive my vehicle. My vehicle speed would not increase above 3mph. I had the vehicle towed to my home. Today I contacted the dealership requesting that they have my vehicle towed for service and a loaner (as this is my only means of transportation) and was informed that I would be responsible for the tow, that it would be 3 to 4 days before they could run diagnostics and they have no loaner. My reality is if I had merged onto the interstate and this happened, I could either be dead or lying in the Intensive Care Unit.
THE VEHICLE STALLS WHEN ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE AFTER A COMPLETE STOP AT A STOP SIGN AND TRAFFIC LIGHT. THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN GOING ON AND OFF FROM THE YEAR 2020 UNTIL NOW, MARCH 22ND, 2021. THE ACCELERATION STALLS HAVE ALMOST CAUSED ABOUT THREE ACCIDENTS SO FAR IN BUSY INTERSECTIONS IN NORTH JERSEY. I HAVE BROUGHT THE SUV INTO NISSAN SERVICE CENTER THREE DIFFERENT TIMES AND THEIR RESPONSE WAS, 'SCANNED VEHICLE, NO DTC CODES FOUND AT THIS TIME NPF NO PROBLEM FOUND AT THIS TIME'. I HAVE MULTIPLE VIDEO DOCUMENTATION SHOWING A HIGH RPM OF 3-4 WHILE VEHICLE'S MPH IS BARELY PASSING 20MPH, RESULTING TO THE ENGINE CHECK LIGHT APPEARING AND THE MALFUNCTION ERROR MESSAGE ILLUMINATING ON THE DASHBOARD.

VEHICLE TRANSMISSION STUTTERS AND STRUGGLES TO SHIFT IN HIGHER GEARS. OCCASIONALLY KNOCKS. THE TRANSFER CASE WAS FAULTY 3 MONTHS AGO AND BROKE/FELL APART WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY. THE VEHICLE ALMOST LOST CONTROL AND THE DEALERSHIP SAID THE TRANSFER ARM HAD SNAPPED. THE TRANSMISSION STILL MAKES THE SAME HEAVY KNOCKING AND OCCASIONALLY 'SLIPS' AS THE CVT TRANSMISSION HESITATES TO SHIFT. THE VEHICLE HAS VERY SLOW ACCELERATION BECAUSE OF THIS AND EVEN WHEN ACCELERATING AT A SLOW SPEED LIKE FROM A STOP SIGN THE TIRES WILL JUMP AS IF THE AXLES ARE MOVING FASTER OR SLOWER THAN THE TRANSMISSION IS FIRING.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 NISSAN ROGUE. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT WAS UNAWARE IF THERE WERE ANY WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT PARKED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROADWAY, RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND DROVE TO HER DESTINATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN ON THREE DIFFERENT OCCASIONS TO PLANET NISSAN (5850 CENTENNIAL CENTER BLVD, LAS VEGAS, NV 89149; (702) 425-8141), TO BE DIAGNOSED. ON THE FIRST VISIT THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE AEB SENSOR NEEDED TO BE RESET HOWEVER, THE CONTACT WAS UNSURE IF THE MECHANIC HAD RESET THE SENSOR. THE CONTACT STATED IN ADDITION THAT THE CLIPS HOLDING THE PANELS OF THE VEHICLE, WERE DETACHING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AUTONATION NISSAN LAS VEGAS (5800 W SAHARA AVE, LAS VEGAS, NV 89146;(702) 570-1013) AND WAS INFORMED THAT BODYWORK WAS NEEDED TO REPAIR THE ISSUE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 NISSAN ROGUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNDISCLOSED SPEED, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, THE VEHICLE STALLED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70-80 MPH WITH THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT. ADDITIONALLY, ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE AS DESIGNED. THE FAILURE RECURRED TWICE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO ROUTE 22 NISSAN (56 US-22, HILLSIDE, NJ 07205) HOWEVER, THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND REMAINED AT THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 25,000.

AS I WAS DRIVING ON A CITY STREET ON 09/03/2020 MY CAR DECIDED TO STOP AUTOMATICALLY BY ITSELF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET. THE BREAKS LOCKED UP AND THE STEERING AS WELL, I WAS THROWN FORWARD ALMOST HITTING MY HEAD OFF THE STEERING WHEEL, I DIDN'T BECAUSE I HAD MY SEATBELT ON, THANK GOODNESS. IF THERE WAS ANOTHER VEHICLE BEHIND ME I WOULD HAVE MOST LIKELY DIED. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE AND SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING. I CALLED THE DEALER WHERE I HAD PURCHASED IT FROM, PERFORMANCE KIA IN MOOSIC, PA AND THEY CAN NOT GET ME IN FOR A WHOLE WEEK WHICH IS ALSO UNACCEPTABLE BECAUSE I HAVE TO DRIVE IT IN ORDER TO GET MY CHILDREN AROUND AND MYSELF TO WORK, THIS IS SCARY AND NEEDS TO BE RESOLVED. I NOTICED PLENTY OF OTHER PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS ISSUE AS WELL!

MY CAR HAS BEEN DYING INTERMITTENTLY FOR THE PAST FEW MONTHS WHILE STATIONARY. TODAY MY VEHICLE SHUT OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING HOME ON A RESIDENTIAL STREET, TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 35 MILES PER HOUR, CAUSING THE STEERING TO LOCK UP AND MY VEHICLE TO ABRUPTLY STOP. ALL THE INDICATOR LIGHTS SHUT OFF AS WELL. ANOTHER VEHICLE HAD TO SWERVE INTO THE OTHER LANE TO AVOID REAR ENDING ME. *TR

ON MARCH 31, 2020, WHILE SLOWING FOR A TRAFFIC LIGHT, MY VEHICLE BEGAN TO SHAKE VIOLENTLY AND AS I CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP, THE ENGINE SHUT OFF. UPON TAKING THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL NISSAN DEALERSHIP, I WAS INFORMED THAT THE ENGINE WIRING HARNESS WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THIS IS A PROBLEM, IN AND OF ITSELF, BECAUSE THIS COMPONENT CAN TYPICALLY LAST FOR THE LIFETIME OF A VEHICLE EXCEPT IN CASES FOR WHICH THERE IS EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE SUCH AS AN ACCIDENT OR FLOOD, NEITHER OF WHICH HAVE BEEN THE CASE. MULTIPLE EXTERNAL SERVICE TECHNICIANS HAVE AGREED THAT THIS TYPE OF MECHANICAL FAILURE SHOULD NOT BE OCCURRING IN A NEWER MODEL VEHICLE WITH LESS THAN 50,000 MILES. IT IS MY FIRM BELIEF THAT THE MECHANICAL FAILURE OF A COMPONENT WHICH RARELY FAILS POINT TO POOR QUALITY OF CRAFTSMANSHIP AND SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED AS A POTENTIAL RECALL ISSUE AS IT POSES A SAFETY ISSUE AND THE OCCURRENCE OF SUCH AN ISSUE AT THIS STAGE OF A VEHICLE'S LIFE IS HIGHLY UNLIKELY.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER NISSAN OF METAIRIE (6636 VETERANS MEMORIAL BLVD METAIRIE, LA) TO BE DIAGNOSED WHICH WAS STILL PENDING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 22,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

MY ROGUE HAS BEEN BROUGHT IN 4 TIMES FOR SAFETY ISSUES. I HAVE CONTACTED NISSAN AND NOT GETTING ANYWHERE. ALL MY SENSOR LIGHTS CAME ON AND ABS. MY CAR BROKE ON THE FREEWAY GOING 70 MPH TO 50 MPH. LUCKILY NO ONE WAS BEHIND ME. THAT HAPPENED IN MAY 2019. I WAS TERRIFIED TO DRIVE AND USED MY HUSBAND'S CAR. I LOOKED UP AND THEY SAID IF ABS LIGHTS YOU SHOULD NOT DRIVE AND HAVE IT TOWED BECAUSE IT COULD START A FIRE! THEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN AND I WAS ON A SIDE STREET GOING 40 MPH AND IT BRAKED TO 30 AND THERE WASN'T ANYTHING IN FRONT OF ME. I DON'T WANT TO DRIVE THIS CAR AT ALL. I WANT THEM TO JUST TAKE IT BACK. I DRIVE AS A HOME CARE NURSE FOR A LIVING AND IT IS NOT SAFE WHEN DRIVING IS A BIG PART OF MY JOB. I HAVE BROUGHT THER CAR IN 4 TIMES! NOT SAFE!!!!

THE FAILURE OCCURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO GARDEN CITY NISSAN (LOCATED AT 316 N FRANKLIN ST, HEMPSTEAD, NY 11550, (516) 483-4400) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT UNKNOWN SENSORS NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. ON SEPTEMBER 11, 2019, THE VEHICLE SEIZED AND STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,200. *TT *AS

MY NISSAN ROGUE HAS EXPERIENCED THE SAME ISSUE 3 TIMES IN A 2 MONTH PERIOD. 1ST TIME - DRIVING, CROSSING A BUSY INTERSECTION FRONT END SHUDDERED, SHOOK HEAVILY, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE IT TO LOCAL MECHANIC WHO RAN DIAGNOSTICS AND STATED THERE WERE TOO MANY CODES REGARDING THE ELECTRIC SYSTEM AND RECOMMENDED I TAKE IT TO DEALERSHIP. TOOK IT TO LOCAL DEALER, DIAGNOSTICS WERE RUN AGAIN, AND THEY REPORTED THEY WERE NOT SURE OF THE ISSUE, SUSPECTED DAMAGE TO THE MAF SENSOR (WHICH WAS THEN THROWING OFF THE REPORT OF ALL OTHER SENSORS). THEY REPLACED IT WITH NISSAN MANUFACTURED PART AND ELECTRIC TAPE AND I WAS TOLD IT WAS GOOD TO GO. 2ND TIME - STATIONARY MAKING A LEFT ONTO BUSY MAIN STREET, CAR SHUDDERED, STALLED, NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMPLETELY STOPPED. UNABLE TO DRIVE IT, WHEN CHANGING GEARS IT JUST COASTED BACKWARDS (DUE TO THE HILL I WAS ON). HAD IT TOWED TO THE SAME DEALER, TOLD THE SAME THING AS PREVIOUS VISIT 'NOT SURE WHAT'S WRONG, PROBABLY THE SENSOR,' WAS TOLD THEY REPLACED IT AGAIN WITH NISSAN MANUFACTURED PART AND 'TAPED UP REAL GOOD THIS TIME.' HOWEVER COULD NOT GUARANTEE IT WOULDN'T HAPPEN AGAIN, ALSO STILL NO IDEA WHAT EXACTLY CAUSED THE STALLING. 3RD TIME- DRIVING STRAIGHT AFTER BEING STOPPED AT RES LIGHT, CAR STALLS, ENGINE LIGHT BACK ON, AND UNABLE TO DRIVE IT. THE CAR COASTED TO THE NEAREST SHOULDER AND NOW WAITING FOR A TOW TRUCK TO TAKE ME TO A DIFFERENT DEALERSHIP, WHOM HOPEFULLY CAN FIX THE PROBLEM THAT CONTINUES TO HAPPEN.

WHEN DRIVING IN SNOWY CONDITIONS, THE AIR INTAKE FILTER CLOGS WITH SNOW RESULTING IN AN IMMOBILIZING LOSS OF ENGINE POWER. WHEN DRIVING FROM COLORADO SPRINGS CO TO LAWRENCE KS IN MARCH 2019 WHILE IT WAS SNOWING, WE LOST POWER AND HAD TO STOP THREE TIMES TO CLEAR THE SNOW FROM THE AIR INTAKE FILTER BECAUSE THE ENGINE LOST POWER AND COULD NOT ASCEND THE RATHER GENTLE HILLS IN KANSAS ON INTERSTATE I-70. THIS CAUSES A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION FOR TWO REASONS. FIRST, THE VERY SLOW MOVING OR STALLED VEHICLE CAUSES A HAZARD FOR THE OTHER TRAFFIC IS TRAVELLING AT NORMAL HIGHWAY SPEEDS. SECONDLY, STOPPING ALONG THE HIGHWAY DURING SNOWY CONDITIONS TO CLEAR THE AIR FILTER PUTS THE OPERATOR OF THE STALLED CAR IN DANGER AS WELL. I HAVE DRIVEN MANY OTHER DIFFERENT VEHICLES IN SNOWY CONDITIONS AND HAVE NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM. I BELIEVE THE 2018 NISSAN ROGUE SPORT HAS A DESIGN FLAW THAT ALLOWS THE AIR INTAKE FILTER TO EASILY BECOME CLOGGED WITH SNOW. THE ROGUE SPORT FUNNELS THE INTAKE AIR DIRECTLY FROM THE GRILL, WHILE OTHER VEHICLES SEEM TO HAVE PLACED THE AIR INTAKE IN A MORE PROTECTED LOCATION IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, THE BRAKE ASSIST RANDOMLY ACTIVATED AND CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO DECELERATE AND/OR STOP. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND A REPRESENTATIVE WAS SENT TO EXAMINE THE VEHICLE AT PRIORITY NISSAN (6390 RICHMOND RD, WILLIAMSBURG, VA). THE FRONT SENSORS WERE REPLACED AND A SOFTWARE UPDATE WAS PERFORMED, BUT THE FAILURES CONTINUED. ALSO, WHILE IN REVERSE, THE REAR SENSORS MALFUNCTIONED AND FAILED TO ALERT THAT A SECOND VEHICLE WAS POSITIONED IN THE REAR, WHICH COULD CAUSE THE DRIVER TO BACK INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, WHILE DRIVING WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ENGAGED AND SET AT 55 MPH, THE SPEED WOULD INCREASE ON ITS OWN WHILE DRIVING ON A CURVED ROAD. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000. *BF AS OF 5/30/19 NO VOLUME WITH NAVIGATION SYSTEM STILL, A/C NOT WORKING RIGHT. VEHICLE CONTINUES TO JERK WHEN PUSHING ON THE GAS. REMOTE START NOT WORKING AGAIN, NISSAN CONNECT HAS FROZEN UP AGAIN. CONSUMER WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER THERE WAS NOTHING TO REPAIR OR FIX ASIDE FROM THE THINGS THAT SHOWED UP ON DIAGNOSTIC'S. I WAS TRAVELLING IN MY VEHICLE WHEN I CAME TO A RED TRAFFIC LIGHT AND STOPPED. ONCE THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN, I PROCEEDED TO GO FORWARD WHEN MY VEHICLE SEEMED TO SLOWED DOWN ON ITS OWN. WHEN I STEPPED ON THE GAS PEDAL, IT SEEMED THE VEHICLE DIDN'T WANT TO MOVE FORWARD. THE OTHER ISSUE IS THAT THIS MORNING I WAS DRIVING IN MY VEHICLE WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN SOME SENSORS SEEMED TO BE SET OFF. I THEN PULLED OVER AND TURNED OF THE IGNITION. I WAS THEN ABLE TO START MY VEHICLE AND PROCEED TO MY DESTINATION WITHOUT ANOTHER OCCURRENCE.

TAKATA RECALL. I BROUGHT A BRAND NEW 2018 NISSAN ROGUE IN APRIL OF 2018. MY ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR ONLY HAS 9000 MILES ON IT. I TOOK IN TO THE DEALER AND THEY CLAIM THE LIGHT IS ON BECAUSE A RODENT CHEWED THE WIRES BELONGING TO THE HARNESS. AT 1ST I WAS GIVEN A LONER VEHICLE AND TOLD MY TRANSMISSION WAS HAVING PROBLEMS. ON FRIDAY I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY WERE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL FROM THE BEGINNING. NOW 4 DAYS LATER THEY TELL ME A MOUSE ATE MY WIRES AND THAT'S NOT SOMETHING THEY COVER FOR A HARNESS AND NOW THEY WANT TO REVERSE THE CHARGES FOR THE LOANER CAR MAKING IT A RENTAL. ALSO MY GAS GAUGE OFF AND ON DISPLAYS EMPTY AND THE CAR IS FULL OF GAS. MY CAR IS DRIVEN EVERYDAY THERE IS NO WAY A RODENT IF ANY TYPE WOULD EVEN EVER SURVIVE I'M MY CAR. THIS IS UTTERLY RIDICULOUS. NISSAN JUST DOES NOT WANT TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THEY TOLD ME IT'S NOT THERE PROBLEM IT'S A MACHINE AND THEY BREAK DOWN.

I PURCHASED MY 2018 ROGUE SL AWD IN MID MARCH 2018 AND I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH ISSUES SINCE MARCH 27TH. THE FIRST ISSUE THAT I'VE NOTICED WAS A VERY MAJOR INCIDENT THAT HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE (GOT VIDEO) THE (FEB) FORWARD EMERGENCY BRAKING ENGAGED WHILE DRIVING LUCKILY NO OTHER VEHICLES WERE AROUND! ALLEGEDLY THIS ISSUE WAS RECTIFIED ON JULY 11TH! ALSO THE AUDIO SYSTEM DOES A RESET AND LOCKS UP MOST TIMES! I HAVE TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF TO GET IT TO WORK! THE WHEELS HAVE SPOTS ON THEM VERY NOTICEABLE WHEN THE SUN REFLECTS ON THEM (HAVE PHOTO) THE DEALERSHIP FIXED THEM LOOKS GOOD THEY CLAIM THEY BUFF THEM OUT BUT THEY LOOK BRAND NEW. I'VE BEEN IN A LOANER VEHICLE SINCE JUNE 27TH AND IT'S JULY 12TH 2017.5 ROGUE SL AWD I'VE NOTICED A HUGE DIFFERENCE ESPECIALLY IN MPG I'M CURRENTLY GETTING 28.9 MPG AND IN MY 2018 I'M GETTING AN AVG OF 24-25MPG WITHOUT A/C RUNNING! THE REASON WHY WE ARE GETTING LESS GAS MILEAGE IN THE 2018 AWD IS BECAUSE THE 4X4-I SYSTEM IS RUNNING 50% TORQUE ON REAR WHEELS LONGER THEN NEEDED! IN THE '17.5 IT RUNS 50% TORQUE IN THE FIRST GEAR UPON TAKE OFF AND THEN ADJUST AS NEEDED (SWITCH YOUR DISPLAY TO THE 4X4-I AND WATCH HOW LONG THE TORQUE IS USED ON THE REAR WHEELS)! ON A DRY SURFACE YOU DO NOT NEED THAT MUCH TORQUE THROUGHOUT THE OTHER GEARS! I POINTED THAT OUT TO THE TECHNICIAN AND HE GAVE ME A SLIGHT NOD! (THE ACCELERATOR SENSOR, YAW RATE SENSOR OR 4WD CONTROLLER MAY NOT BE WORKING CORRECTLY!) AND THE FINAL ISSUE IS THE ENGINE BRAKE IS NOT ENGAGING WHEN YOU SLOW DOWN TO BETWEEN 25 TO 40 MPH THE TECH ODOMETER SHOULD RISE UP TO 2 TO 4 RPM ACCORDING TO YOUR SPEED WHILE APPROACHING A STOPLIGHT OR STOPPING AND IN THE 2018 IT DOESN'T DO THAT IT RISES UP TO ABOUT 1.5 RPMS! YOU WILL PROBABLY NOT NOTICED THAT IF YOU'VE NEVER DRIVEN A NISSAN WITH A CVT IN IT! I HOPE THIS HELPS AND WE GET THE THESE FIXED! *TT *TR

2018 NISSAN ROGUE SV PURCHASED EARLY MARCH 2018. CURRENTLY HAS LESS THAN 1,700 MILES ON IT. THREE TIMES IN LESS THAN THREE WEEKS, THE AUTOMATIC BRAKING SYSTEM HAS ENGAGED WHILE DRIVING DOWN A MAJOR ROADWAY. EACH TIME, THE WARNING LIGHTS AND DASHBOARD HAVE FLASHED AND BEEPED. ONLY THE FRONT PASSENGER BRAKE HAS ENGAGED, RESULTING IN A MAJOR "GRINDING" NOISE AND A SERIOUS JERK TO THE RIGHT. THE MOST RECENT INCIDENT HAPPENED WITH A VEHICLE IN MY BLIND SPOT AND ALMOST RESULTED IN A COLLISION. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP, WHERE THEY HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO REPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND HAVE TOLD ME THERE IS NO KNOWN ISSUE OR ERROR CODE. THE FIRST TIME TO THE DEALERSHIP, THEY ALLEGEDLY RESET THE SENSORS AND TOLD ME THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG. THURSDAY, A WEEK AFTER IT CAME HOME FROM THE DEALERSHIP, IT HAPPENED AGAIN. MY CAR IS AGAIN AT THE DEALERSHIP. NISSAN CONTINUES TO TELL ME THIS IS NOT A KNOWN ISSUE AND THEY HAVE NO CODES FOR SIMILAR COMPLAINTS, BUT BASED ON THE NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS ON THIS AND OTHER SITES, IT APPEARS THERE ARE SEVERAL KNOWN ISSUES. I AM NOW IN A LOANER ROGUE ALLEGEDLY WAITING FOR NISSAN ENGINEERS TO COME LOOK AT MY CAR, WHICH MAY TAKE A WEEK OR A MONTH. IN ADDITION TO THE BRAKE ISSUE, THE ENGINE IN THIS VEHICLE ALSO RAMPS UP TO HIGH RPMS AT LOW SPEEDS (AS IF YOU WERE PUNCHING THE GAS WHEN YOU'RE NOT) AND IDLES VERY, VERY LOUDLY.
