The first time I was on the I expressway the car started to loose power I had the pedal to the floor and it wouldn't go. Took it to the dealer and they kept it for a week they changed the turbo and another recall part. Then it drove okay for maybe a month and started right back again loosing power idling I took it to the nissian they said its a recall on the engine bearings and there wasn't nothing that could be done. The transmission is constantly acting like its going out cause it takes a minute to go into the next gear. Im a traveling nurse I lost my contract due to not having a reliable vehicle it wouldnt start some days nissian checked the battery said it was good they couldnt figure out rhat issue. I bought a new battery still the same issue then I was driving down a busy street, I started smelling gas or a muffler smell the check engine light came on and then I took it to nissian. Nissian said the parts for the engine bearing is in but we cant fiix the recall until the check engine light is off. They did a diagnostics test and said its the EGR valve and control system. They want me to pay over 3000 dollars and refuse to fix it. Ive had the car for 9 months and even though the issue started before my warranty was up they refuse to fix it. Ive attached the first invoice and its at nissian right now I dont have the invoice yet.
Was driving and out of no where all my engine lights turned on and got an engine light that turned on and says engine malfunction power reduced service.
The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that after exiting the vehicle and walking away with the keys, the doors of the vehicle automatically locked as designed; however, the rear doors of the vehicle failed to unlock, preventing the contact's sister, who was occupying the rear seat, from exiting the vehicle. Additionally, the contact stated that upon returning to the vehicle, the contact became aware of the issue, and the contact also noticed that the front driver's side door failed to unlock as intended. The contact stated that the failure required the contact to enter the vehicle through the front passenger's side door to get the groceries out of the way for her sister to exit the vehicle through the front passenger's side door. The contact had briefly lost the keys and was able to unlock the doors after finding the keys. The contact stated that the rear doors' failure to unlock did not occur due to the child-lock system. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle failed to start on another occasion. A mobile technician from a service contractor was able to jumpstart the vehicle. The technician also recommended that the battery be replaced. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.

I purchased a 2023 Nissan Rogue from Galles Chevrolet, located at 2801 University Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107, on May 17, 2025. According to the vehicle history report, the vehicle has an active stop-sale record issued by Nissan. I am unsure of the specific component or system affected. Still, cars under an active stop sale should not be sold until the underlying safety or performance issue has been addressed. Since purchase, we have already experienced several issues with the vehicle, including: Engine performance problems, such as stalling and unusual sounds during startup. Electrical and digital system malfunctions, including warning lights, dashboard errors, and intermittent failures of the infotainment system. Other mechanical concerns include inconsistent braking responses and occasional unusual vibrations from the suspension, as well as numerous other issues. The stop-sale record indicates a potentially serious defect that could put the driver or others at risk. I have not been able to confirm the exact nature of the defect or whether it has been repaired. However, there are still two campaigns/recalls associated with my VIN. I am submitting this report to NHTSA to request an investigation and ensure that the vehicle is safe for operation. All payments are current, and there have been no crashes, fires, or injuries associated with this vehicle to date.
The engine failed while driving on the interstate at 65+ mph. The malfunction indicator lights came on and beeped loudly, including Engine Malfunction and AWD Malfunction (which I don't have). The vehicle lost power, and the engine began making a frightening noise. I had to get over several lanes with no working gas pedal, and I'm lucky nobody was hurt. I had to be towed thirty miles to the nearest dealership. The dealership, who didn't answer when I called ahead to let them know I was coming, was unhelpful, and employees made jokes about just trading it in instead of fixing it. They said it could be months, and that there's no remedy for the recall. I have to wait until they re-open on Monday to speak with anybody. The only symptom prior was that sometimes the vehicle wouldn't recognize my key fob being near/in the vehicle, but I thought it was a battery problem. I thankfully knew about the recall and mentioned it to the dealership, but they don't seem to be agreeable to loaning me a vehicle in the meantime, so this will be a difficult repair process.
Engine Malfunction Power Reduce Service Now Wed Aug 20. My 2023 Rogue was at the dealership debating that thye can fix the recall because there is no remedy for the inspection for the recall. My truck stayed at the shop until October. This passed Friday October 31 while driving and picking up donations I began to get on the freeway and the same message happened. I couldn't go over 25mph the dealership was 28 minutes away. My safety was a risk it was the on ramp of the freeway and it was all Freeway to get to the dealership. The food donations I picled up were at risk of not be able.to be served to shelter residents. I receibed and email stating that the fuel injectors and EGR Valve need to replace immediately totatling almost 5,000 after just paying $1700 last month. This is the second time since August with this message but the check engine light has been going on and off with alerts in my car amd nissan app for over 6 months
I’ve been taking my 2023 AWD Rogue in for warning light and sensors issues and noises from the engine , the dealership that does the repairs informs me there is a recall back in July of 2025 but there is no remedy so there is nothing that can be done and that there is no problem with my vehicle . I shouldn’t worry they will call me.
I started my vehicle, everything seemed fine, but once I reached my destination, the vehicles auto start/off activated which was normal. I was in a school line to pick up my child, once picked up my child and the auto start reactivated, that's when the problems be can. Once I exceeded 40 mph the car began to jerk violently, and as I tried to move over to the side of the road I couldn't fast enough the speed of the vehicle was locked at 5mph with the check engine light coming on and the "auto-start/off" indicator flashing, the violent jerking seemed to al so effect the vehicles air conditioning.
The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the engine made an abnormal knocking sound. The contact stated that while driving with the Adaptive Cruise Control activated, the vehicle failed to decelerate automatically while there was a vehicle in the proximity of the vehicle. The contact stated that the Forward Collision Avoidance: Automatic Emergency Braking system engaged while there was no vehicle or object in proximity of the vehicle. The contact stated that the Lane Keep Assist was engaging and disengaging erroneously. The contact stated while at a complete stop at a red traffic light, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle failed to restart and was pushed to the side of the road with assistance. The vehicle was later able to restart and was driven to the residence; however, the failure persisted while driving. The contact stated that upon arriving to the residence, the check engine warning light was illuminated, and the contact received a notification for emission control problem through the vehicle mobile app. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where the engine was replaced. Additionally, the contact stated that the heater was making an abnormally loud squeaking sound and there was fumes coming through the vents. The contact installed a Carbon Monoxide detector in the vehicle, and the detector indicated that the Carbon Monoxide and Dioxide levels in the vehicle were high. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the heater blower was replaced, and the contact was informed that the exhaust manifold was sealed; however, the failure persisted. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle stalled while driving on another occasion. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was being diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000 (Engine and Engine and Cooling); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and offered to buy back the vehicle at a

All of the dashboard light turned on while deiving amd the engine started overheating, we had to stop the car for it too cool and then it cannot run faster than 30 miles because it will over heat and shakes we could of had a bad accident , we have tried to resolve this with tge dealership and they have failed multiple times to adress this saying its nothing wrong with the car when cleary there is!
The main issue involves the engine bearings (recall campaign KR15, NHTSA ID 25V-437). According to Nissan, certain engines equipped with the 1.5L VC-Turbo have a manufacturing defect in the main, A-, C-, and L-link bearings or related components. This defect can lead to engine damage and, in some cases, complete engine failure. My vehicle is available for inspection upon request. This situation puts my safety and the safety of others at risk, because if the engine fails while driving, it may cause a sudden loss of motive power, significantly increasing the risk of a crash. I am especially concerned because I frequently drive on highways and in traffic conditions where a sudden loss of power could result in an accident. The issue has been confirmed by Nissan through the recall notice, but as of now, the remedy is still pending, and there is no immediate fix or available parts for the engine bearing defect. My vehicle has not yet been inspected by Nissan for this recall, and I have not received a loaner vehicle or alternative solution to ensure safety while the remedy is pending. In addition, there are two other active recalls: Turbo hose defect (Nissan ID P4A47) – may cause fuel vapor smell inside or around the vehicle. EEM Logic (Nissan ID P3A28) – related to the Underhood Switching Module (USM/IPDM), which may lead to a vehicle no-start condition. Before the engine problem fully manifests, there are warning signs including unusual engine noises, rough engine performance, and warning messages appearing on the dashboard, such as the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL). These symptoms appeared progressively and have increased my concern about the possibility of a total engine failure while driving.
The screen turns off suddenly while the vehicle is in use. Additionally, the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system is either deactivated or displays as “off” when the car is started. The sudden deactivation of the AEB system compromises the vehicle’s ability to automatically brake in critical situations, increasing the risk of a collision. The screen turning off could also limit access to important vehicle information or controls, further impacting safety. No warning lamps appeared prior to the failure. The issue with the screen and AEB deactivation happens when the vehicle is started, but there were no prior warnings before this started occurring. After so many recalls, I no longer feel safe with this vehicle.
Since last November 2024 I have been trying to see what is wrong with my car. Previously I took it to Nissan for a thoroughly check just for them to tell me I went over my miles and they wasn’t able to fix my car with my warranty. I have taken my car to 3 different places where they all tell me different things are wrong but that is not the problem. The noise has been coming from my engine sounding like something is going to break on my car. The more I push down on the accelerator the more worst the noise get. I am tired of driving this car like this and I don’t know how to fix it. If I have to I will be getting my lawyer involved for negligence.
The cars center console and back up camera turns black and often does not work. I can’t see behind me when the cars back up camera goes black Yes it’s been reproduced No it has not been inspected by police etc. No warnings it simply failed
I am reporting a serious safety issue after three service visits to Star Nissan. Most recently, on July 8, 2025, they performed a full transmission replacement under warranty (see invoice attached). Since receiving the car back, it now makes creaking noises, vibrates severely under acceleration and deceleration, and is completely unsafe to drive. The shaking is so bad I can feel it under my feet and seat, especially at highway speeds (40–50 mph). The car did not have these symptoms before the transmission repair. They claimed they did a test drive, but that is obviously false. This is now the third time I’ve had to return this vehicle for drivetrain-related issues, and I’ve been told to “wait until July 15th” with no resolution while my car is dangerous and undrivable. I’m reporting this as a potential safety risk, negligent repair, and breach of warranty, and I want Nissan investigated for returning vehicles in this condition. I’m afraid to drive it and feel completely ignored. This dealership needs to be held accountable, and Nissan should be required to take responsibility before someone gets hurt
While on the highway heading to Florida....... all kinds of lights came on and reduced the speed. It was hard to understand what happened but I made it to the Nissan place halfway through the trip. They couldn't do much and had no loaners but the reset the codes in my car. As it was cleared..... everything went back to normal as of nothing happened. But on my way back home ..... it happened again. This time I couldn't make it to Nissan but I made it to auto zone and a local shop in Orangeburg. They received 13 different codes. Again.... there's was nothing they could do so they man reset the codes in my car. Clear the code n I made it home safely with my family.
Battery had to be replaced during 1st oil change. Transmission failed at about 30,000 miles and was replaced. Transmission light went on again we were told it was the transmission it was the gear shift assembly (claiming something spilled in it - not true). Not covered and would cost $1350... charged $260 for diagnostic. Had repaired separately, Transmission light is still on. Claiming not covered under warranty even though car has about 80,000 highway miles. I think this car may have an undying electrical issue and our safety is at risk.
Traveling on highway in Washington DC, cruise control shut off and powered down car, electrical warning for rear doors not closed, seat belt and airbag warnings. Engine lights came on by the time we got into NY, gas fumes in cabin, and oil was down 2 quarts. Car would not go over 40 at times. Car has been at dealership for over 65 days with work done to turbo, cvt transmission, bearings, leaks in headliner, oil consumption and electrical issues, etc. NCA and BBB claims filed, only given some of the work orders as dealership and NCA refuse to provide anything. Defect Form sent to NCA as well. Independent mechanic also reviewed car after it was initially returned to me for less than a week. Mechanic supplied a write up and pics confirming the transmission and oil leaks as well as leaks in engine and electrical issues were not resolved. In addition, the car now has water leaks on headliner and it smells moldy. Please note: this site only allowed me to add 1 document. I can provide all documents if you provide an email or link to do so. Thank you
Burger King doesn't always kick on and I have to turn the car off and turn it on before it'll kick on even when it's in the on position. Don't feel any air coming out until I turn the car off. Turn it back on then it starts working again. Also the radio doesn't want to turn off or turn on at times and so again I will turn the car off and on and it seems to reset and then I can work the radio. But I've done this on a few occasions where when I turn the car back on it still didn't work the radio.
• "2023 Rogue, 24,000 miles, coolant in engine (2024), new engine delayed six months (Nov 2024), broke down two weeks later (chip), broke again Feb 2025 (ECM, hose hole). The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that the buttons located on the steering wheel failed to operate as needed. Due to the failure, the contact could not access several of the safety features such as Lane Assist, Blind Spot Assist, or Parking Assist. The contact called the manufacturer for assistance after discovering online that the part needed to repair the vehicle was on backorder. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and the contact was referred to a dealer that had the part in stock. The contact called the dealer but was informed that the part was unavailable nationwide. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.

We purchased a new 2023 Rogue last year. One year in, we have a failed upper transmission mount and both power struts on the tailgate. The dealer claims these are known issues but now recalls them. Now, we need to spend over $4,000 for a one-year-old car. I am surprised by the quality Nissan is currently using in their vehicles.
While I'm driving collision sensors activate with no reason and when they activate sometimes stops abruptly and locks it's self; doesn't allow me to go back or forward.
Vehicle was brought in for an oil change and service appointment at the Nissan dealership the day before and was then driven 300 miles. The following day, it was being driven at 40-50mph in residential area when suddenly the gas pedal became unresponsive and the vehicle slowed down on its own in traffic. The message appeared on the screen "Engine Malfunction, Power Reduced, Service Now" and the car would no long go faster than 12 mph. The car had to be turned off and on 4 times before the error cleared and was then able to be driven again.
In September 2024 I too my car to Bedford Nissan in Ohio. They did an oil change and since then my car has been having issues. When reversing and switching into drive my car jerks extremely hard. I contacted them to let them know and they advised me to bring the car in to get it looked at. Due to my life situations, I was unable to do so at that time. In the beginning of October 2024 my car completely shut down. I was unable to shut it off with the push button or change gears. All of the lights on the dashboard came up. It took me almost 20 minutes for it to finally restart. I contacted Nissan immediately and they advised to bring it back to them. My 2023 brand new car already had a dead battery, faulty wires in the car, the screen goes in and out, and had an Axcel leak. The supposedly fixed these issues. A few weeks later I am having the same exact problems. I have contacted Nissan consumer affairs multiple times. I have reached out to the dealership. I do not get calls back or help to fix the issues that keep reoccurring.
The rear windshield of my Nissan Rogue exploded out. The car was off and parked. While I was drive, prior to incident, I had the defroster on. After I heard the loud “pop” sound, I walked over to car and heard the glass sizzling! There was a huge hole and some small holes, as well as cracks along the edge of the entire rear windshield.
The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that she noticed that in the spare trunk compartment, a tear gas device was installed and welded into the vehicle by the FBI. The owner placed foil over the device. Additionally, a device containing sarin gas was placed in the vehicle by an unknown source. The contact stated that she had experienced a nosebleed and dizziness due to the devices, and medical attention was provided. The contact stated that an outside source deflated the tires and was able to shut down and accelerate the vehicle using a chip in the key fob, causing her to crash into the sidewalk. A police report was filed. There was no reported fire or air bag deployment. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.

While I was driving out of state on [XXX], 2024, the engine light came on and stated "engine malfunction power reduced." Immediately the acceleration to the car was out. I was barely able to go 50 or 60 mph on the highway where everyone else was going 70 or 80 mph. Additionally the AWD light came on saying it was disabled as well. We were able to make it to safety, get a rental car, and then take my car to the nearest Nissan dealership in LaCrosse WI. I left my car there and waited to hear back about what was needed to repair the car. After talking to the service manager, Mike, he indicated he would talk to Nissan Corporate and let me know. Nissan Corporate advise the service team to clean the part in the car (the actuator?) and put it back in and that would fix it. This did not work because as I was driving back home to Mankato MN from LaCrosse WI, the same engine light came on while I was on the same highway going in 70 mph traffic. Again the car would barely go 50 to 60 mph, but we made it to a nearby gas station and called Nissan Roadside assistance. They towed my vehicle to the closest Nissan dealership in Rochester and it's been there since [XXX], 2024. Today's date is May 24, 2024. This dealership service shop has now replaced 3 parts (sensors?) and they were bringing my car back to me today Friday May 24, 2024. They were scheduled to arrive before 11:00am CST. At 11:42pm, I received a text from the service person I've been working with stating that: My car "had the issue again. We call Nissan and they told us to tow it back to our shop, as of right now stay in the rental but will be towed back today." I called the Rochester dealership around 2:00pm to see if they had any updates but they were still waiting for the car to get towed back and they had no other information. There were no other warning or error messages prior to this happening on [XXX], 2024. I've maintained regular maintenance on the car since purchasing the car from the dealer - Dec 2022 INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFOR
The vehicle had a no-start case. It wouldn't catch while turning over. It tried, it had sufficient battery and all operations were done properly like putting break pedal all the way down. Let car sit, opened the door, shut it and hit some other stuff and it started fine. Other people online seem to report similar cases where just leaving the vehicle makes it start.
Twice while driving my Rogue it has gone into a limp mode. First time car was towed to Ted Russell Nissan and they found no code for problem ,an update was installed. Second time I drove car to same dealership and again no code was found. The have now had my car for 8 days and can’t get car to duplicate problem. I have to take grandchildren to daycare and pick them up. Both times the problem occurred I had just dropped off 1 year old. My safety was impacted because of the amount of traffic in the hours of dropping off and picking them up. The only ones who have checked vehicle is the dealership. There were no warning or any indication it was going to happen. The first date was [XXX] and the second was [XXX]. Car is still in shop. I have been driving on hwy and the nissan give me a message (engine reduce power) and it dosent let me accelerate more than 30 mph and if some cases just turns off i took it to the stealership and they told me that everything is right and that is that normal and now it has a vibration and i took it and they say its normal too now a have a piece of crap cmsuv that im paying to not even work
In the 5mph stop and go traffic of leaving a sloped parking garage, the brakes did not respond to repeated attempts to stop the Rogue. The brakes did not work with pumping them, hard pressure or light pressure. No collision warning alerts activated. (No beeping, lights or camera occurred as it usually does when an object is close to the vehicle.) No emergency braking activated. The only thing that stopped the Rogue was the impact with the vehicle in front of me. There is damage to the front bumper as well as the rear bumper of the car I hit. I turned off the car for 2 minutes and turned it back on to move it out of the way of the traffic behind me. The brake function returned as normal as did the collision warning alerts. The Rogue was taken to the Nissan dealership from which I purchased it. They state that they are waiting for a Nissan representative specialist to come to the location to attempt to reproduce the issue and fix the problem. There have been zero previous incidents of any kind with this vehicle. I purchased it new in March, 2023. The insurance claim has been filed but no body repairs have been scheduled because the priority is the brake system failure.
Brand new car, picked up July 19 2023, 1st issue) July 22, 2023: 3 Days after i picked up my car, went for a long drive to Phoenix AZ from Tucson AZ. Parked in a corner mall for an hour, drove out from parking lot and we smelled strong gas odor. Checked A/C recirculation and it is set to RECIRCULATION. Drove for a couple miles and it was gone. 2nd issue) July 25, 2023. Going to work, already driven 1 and half miles away from my house. My A/C was set to 72c in Auto and on Sync, never changed it to anything else. My A/C Screen randomly shuts off and turned off the whole a/c system including fan. I it automatically resets and turned on after 1-2 seconds and it was defaulted to 75c with Sync off.
⚠️ Warning Alert continues to display on dashboard after several months of recently purchasing my vehicle for “Check position of shift lever”. The dealership had the vehicle for an entire week but failed to fix the issue. Now continues to inform me that they are waiting on a part to come in but that I can continue to drive my car without it being repaired.
