Failed Power Train part that Nissan Knows about( TSB Notify to shops ) and is not willing to fix. This item is failing premature and can definitely be a safety hazard. My wife was driving this when it completely failed. She was afraid her car was falling apart, vibrating excessively. It is the Left hand side motor mounts. It causes serious vibration throughout the vehicle when driving or stopped. They issued a TSB NTB24-14 for 2021-2023 Nissan rogues. Looking back I would say there was small vibrations around 30-32K miles but it was just intermitting. I'm not a mechanic nor my wife. We bought a Nissan because we were told they were safe and reliable vehicles. I do not feel this way about it anymore.

Within the first week of owning my 2023 Nissan Rogue, the vehicle began losing power from highway speeds to around 20 mph, stalling during turns, shaking violently, and displaying warning lights. These issues continued for over a year. Several times I nearly crashed because the vehicle suddenly slowed down or lost power on the highway. Nissan repeatedly told me nothing was wrong, but the vehicle was later included in Recall 25V-437 for engine bearing failure. The vehicle became unsafe to drive, and the engine behavior matched the symptoms described by others in the recall.

2023 Nissan Rogue (VIN [XXX] ) repeatedly stalled, lost power from 60 mph to 20 mph, shook violently, illuminated warning lights, and nearly caused multiple accidents. Defects began within weeks of purchase and continued for over a year. These symptoms match NHTSA Recall 25V-437 / R25A8. Nissan denied the problem until after the recall was issued. The vehicle is unsafe and should be investigated for broader failure patterns. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The engine failed while driving on the interstate at 65+ mph. The malfunction indicator lights came on and beeped loudly, including Engine Malfunction and AWD Malfunction (which I don't have). The vehicle lost power, and the engine began making a frightening noise. I had to get over several lanes with no working gas pedal, and I'm lucky nobody was hurt. I had to be towed thirty miles to the nearest dealership. The dealership, who didn't answer when I called ahead to let them know I was coming, was unhelpful, and employees made jokes about just trading it in instead of fixing it. They said it could be months, and that there's no remedy for the recall. I have to wait until they re-open on Monday to speak with anybody. The only symptom prior was that sometimes the vehicle wouldn't recognize my key fob being near/in the vehicle, but I thought it was a battery problem. I thankfully knew about the recall and mentioned it to the dealership, but they don't seem to be agreeable to loaning me a vehicle in the meantime, so this will be a difficult repair process.

Nissan had a recall on the Turbo Hose. Neither the dealer (Carvana) or the manufacturer (Nissan) told us about the recall until the matter was too late. It is available to inspect upon request. My car stop in the middle of the HWY without notice, warning, caution lights on dash, etc. My fiancés, daughter, and myself lives were all in danger as we were all in the car. Because the turbo hose was not replaced there was insufficient air flow to the engine. It acts as a conduit for air, connecting components like the air intake to the turbocharger, the turbocharger to the intercooler, and the intercooler to the engine's intake manifold. The car has been inspected by 2 mechanical shops whom have both said the exact same thing and auto zone diagnostic tool.

I was shifting into reverse but the gear slipped back into drive. I didn't react in time and I drove through a wooden fence. The car was damaged but no one, including myself, was hurt

There is an odd engine 'rattling', 'guzzling', 'slurping', type noise coming from the engine and the engine has begun to idle very rough even after fresh oil change. This is directly the issue cited from Nissan as recall with no current solution - which is unacceptable. We are not interested in waiting until the car malfunctions worse and in a dangerous way in order to get this recall addressed.

Oct 7, 2025

While driving, the engine started making a loud rattling noise, as if there were loose parts inside. The noise increases when accelerating, and the vehicle has noticeably lost power, especially during gear shifts. It feels like the transmission is struggling or the engine isn’t delivering enough power. This issue raised safety concerns because the vehicle doesn’t respond properly when accelerating or merging into traffic.

I’m writing to let you know that I’m filing a plain complaint with Nissan North America Far Rockaway family Nissan. Address 600 Burnside Ave., Far Rockaway, NY 11691.They have not addressed this issue. It is a safety hazard for me on the highway. Due to the terrible failure, which is a manufacturers defect as of 625 they know about it. They have not yet rectified or addressed this problem the situation and I’m calling it to the attention of this department and filing a formal complaint with the Attorney General of New York. The vehicle continuously loses power. It is a manufacturers defect as stated in the recall I’m losing money, not able to work my job.

While driving my 2023 Nissan Rogue, the engine suddenly stalled as I approached a stop sign. The dashboard lit up with multiple warning lights, including the oil pressure warning. When I attempted to restart, the vehicle made a loud grinding/knocking sound, failed to start properly, and then shut off again. I was unable to restart the vehicle myself. Later, at the dealership, they reported that they were able to turn it on and drive it, but they could not confirm the stall I experienced. The vehicle has also shown other concerning symptoms: shaking when idling, jerking when stopping or accelerating, and occasional grinding noises. My local Nissan dealer eventually reported a broken transmission mount but did not find engine or transmission codes. I am very concerned that my symptoms (stalling, oil pressure light, grinding on restart) are consistent with the open recall for engine bearings on this model. The dealer admitted they currently have no guidance or remedy from Nissan for this recall, so no proper inspection or fix could be performed. Safety Hazard: This is a serious safety issue. The car stalled unexpectedly in traffic, leaving me without power. I was unable to restart it, and I feared the engine could fail completely at higher speeds, which could put me and others at risk. Concern: Nissan has not yet provided dealers with instructions or remedies for this recall, leaving owners with unsafe vehicles on the road. I strongly believe my case should be investigated as part of the bearing recall.

Oil pan plug broke off of oil pan. Will need full replacement of oil pan. I'm seeing online A LOT of others having the same issue with this exact model.

Battery had to be replaced during 1st oil change. Transmission failed at about 30,000 miles and was replaced. Transmission light went on again we were told it was the transmission it was the gear shift assembly (claiming something spilled in it - not true). Not covered and would cost $1350... charged $260 for diagnostic. Had repaired separately, Transmission light is still on. Claiming not covered under warranty even though car has about 80,000 highway miles. I think this car may have an undying electrical issue and our safety is at risk.

At 8:00 PM, driving 70 MPH on [XXX] from Dallas to Houston, Texas, multiple warning lights and messages illuminated on the dash. Other than a low fuel warning, there were no other warnings or messages at the time of the incident. The warnings and messages displayed were "AWD Error", AEB system OFF, RAB system OFF, slip indicator or VDC OFF, master warning light, and "Engine Malfunction Power reduced Service now." When this occurred, the vehicle began decelerating, and I was unable to accelerate and return to highway speeds. I was driving in the left lane and had to make my way to the shoulder on the right of the highway. Fortunately, I came to a stop approximately two miles from the [XXX] exit for Centerville, Texas. It would have been extremely dangerous to remain on the shoulder, especially after sunset, so after reading the owner's manual, I decided to travel the shoulder at the very reduced speed my vehicle allowed. After exiting to a safe location and refueling, I called 24/7 Nissan roadside assistance at 8:50 PM. I was told a tow truck would arrive around 10:20 PM, and I would receive text messages with status updates. I called three more times, at 9:32, 11:28, and 11:54 PM. I never received a text message because no towing providers were ever located and dispatched to my location. On the final call at 11:54, I was told they would try again at 8:00 AM. Centerville, Texas is a small town with a population under 1,000 people. I was left stranded nearly 150 miles from home in a non-major metropolitan city without ample resources such as uber to take me to the nearest hotel. Furthermore, had I not called back, no one from Nissan was going to inform me that I would not receive a tow. Twice while driving my Rogue it has gone into a limp mode. First time car was towed to Ted Russell Nissan and they found no code for problem ,an update was installed. Second time I drove car to same dealership and again no code was found. The have now had my car for 8 days and can’t get car to duplicate problem. I have to take grandchildren to daycare and pick them up. Both times the problem occurred I had just dropped off 1 year old. My safety was impacted because of the amount of traffic in the hours of dropping off and picking them up. The only ones who have checked vehicle is the dealership. There were no warning or any indication it was going to happen. The first date was [XXX] and the second was [XXX]. Car is still in shop. My New 2023 Nissan Rogue encountered a warning "Engine Malfunction Power reduced Service Now" after the car was driven 4600 miles in July 28th 2023. The car did not accelerate higher than 15 miles/ hr with the warning and it was difficult to change lanes while driving the vehicle to Nissan Service at Jeff Wyler Nissan, Eastgate, Ohio - 45103. The warning light went off after the car was restarted a couple of times and the technicians at Nissan service did not find any issue. The issue again resurfaced in 02 Dec 2023, and the car was not running higher than 15 miles/hr. The warning went off after the car was restarted a couple of times. Jeff Wyler Nissan Service again did not found any issue upon inspection. Reached out to Nissan Motors Customer Service and they did'nt give any solution and asked me to report the issue to the dealer if the issue resurfaces again. My family of 3 have a single car and I feel unsafe to drive this car with a 22 month old infant. When the issue occurs it becomes very risky and unsafe to even change lanes as the car does not move more than 15 miles an hour. Both the times when this issue occurred, huge traffic jam is caused on the road, at the back of my car since the car doe not accelerate and I am subjected to frequent honking. I feel afraid if this incident happens in the Interstate highway then this can cause a life risk for me and my family.

I took the car in to the dealership to have the oil changed. After they finished, they informed me that the oil had been leaking from the oil pan drain plug due to it being stripped. They told me that because the oil pan was made of a "composite material" that it was extremely easy to strip the drain plug and crack the oil pan due to the material that it was made of. Furthermore, this was only the second oil change of the car's lifetime (less than 10,000 miles.) They also told me that this was a common issue with other drivers of this particular model. They replaced the oil pan under warranty. However, I am extremely concerned about the longevity and safety of this oil pan. If any uninformed mechanic were to change the oil, it could lead to a massive oil leak that could cause the car to stall while on the road.

While attempting to accelerate up a hill the vehicle's engine rapidly increased RPM to 3500 and then down to 2000 and back up to 3500 repeatedly with no increase in speed or change of pressure on the gas pedal. Also, from a stopped position at a red light, the vehicle would shudder/shake when the tachometer reported between 1500 and 2000 RPM, while attempting to accelerate. Finally when shifting from reverse to drive, the vehicle would shake/shudder while the RPM would increase to 4000 all while the car did not accelerate at all, and with no increase in pressure on the gas pedal.

⚠️ Warning Alert continues to display on dashboard after several months of recently purchasing my vehicle for “Check position of shift lever”. Feb 15, 2023

On November 12, 2022, I purchased a brand new Nissan Rogue 2023. Within a few weeks of driving this brand new car, the check engine light came on. A few days after the check engine light appeared, the car almost shut down while I was making a left turn at a light. I called the Nissan dealership where I purchased the car and they told me to bring the car in for inspection. While driving on the interstate highway to get to the dealership, the check engine light changed to "Engine malfunction." Immediately, the car stopped functioning. The gas pedal became flat, and I could not get the car to accelerate no matter how hard I tried. The vehicle essentially stopped in the middle of the highway with me and my two children in it. This incident posed a significant risk to me and my children, as well as to other motorists in that we could have been involved in a major car accident. I called the police and had the car towed to the dealership. The dealership stated that the signal between the pedal and the engine, which cause the car to accelerate was faulty. They said the defect has been repaired, but I will never drive that car again. After this incident, I conducted a little bit of research and I found out that consumers have been experiencing similar problems, dating back to the 2016 model (all of this information is located on google). what makes the situation even worse is that Nissan has, on multiple occasions refused to reimburse my $35,000. I am now paying the price for something that is not my fault. Buyers be aware!
