The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle hesitated, and the RPM became elevated. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where the contact was informed that the ECM software needed to be recalibrated. The contact was advised to contact the dealer for assistance. The dealer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The contact was informed that the repair was not covered under the recall. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. CVT problem stopped on highway with kids in car put our life at risk called you all about the extended warranty or help fixing transmission. I was told it’s nothing you all can do because the warranty was expired but there’s a class action lawsuit saying thousands of people are having the same specific problem
The CVT transmission on this Nissan sentra vehicle failed at 100,000 miles. Had it failed before 84,000 miles it would have been covered under a warranty. The VIN shows this is a Nissan vehicle that had a known defective CVT transmission. Is there any way I can get repairs paid for by Nissan even though this transmission lasted longer than most of these defective CVT transmissions due to good maintainance?

As I was driving on the interstate, traffic came to a complete stop. When the traffic resumed, approximately 2-3 minutes later, I took my foot off the brake to press the gas pedal and vehicle would not drive. I tried shifting the gears to see if the vehicle was stuck in gear, it was not. My vehicle came to a complete halt in a "kill zone" area of the interstate without any mechanical malfunction warning and this is unsatisfactory. My transmission was replaced in 2020 because of a recall issue and now not even 5 years later, I am having issues with the same transmission. The dealer informed me that the CVT Transmissions on my model and others of the same year, are no good. They have several other vehicles waiting for the same repair with the same issues. I truly believe this issue could potentially lead to a life-or-death situation especially with the issue coming out of nowhere. I am requesting that a national recall be issued on the transmissions before some potentially loses their life, such as myself, in a "kill zone" area when the mechanical issue took place. I am looking forward to a swift resolution.
Purchased vehicle from car dealership as is. In 1.5 weeks the CVT transmission went bad
2014 Nissan Sentra. Transmission began inexplicably slipping and failed within a month. 120k miles. Very lightly driven, relatively low mileage car, driven for 2 years by our [XXX] daughter. I see there were relatively widespread recalls on various Nissan Sentra CVT transmissions in this time frame and our VIN isn't included but this is definitely a manufacturer problem. She ended up stuck in the middle of a major intersection unable to move, engine running but no drivetrain, had to call 911 for help. Police pushed her out of the way. Began to have transmission issues several years ago, slipping and eventually could not even accelerate at all. Had to have a full replacement done in February 2023. Only driven 13,000 miles since replacement and it is slipping and failing again. No major signals or warnings prior to the slipping beginning again. Have had two different shops inspect and confirm transmission is the issue again.
I was driving down the highway and my vehicle all of a sudden started sputtering. The speed dropped quickly as a car almost rear ended me. Then it went back to normal so I continued driving and then it did it again and stopped completely. There’s no check engine light on or any other warnings. Had the vehicle towed to Firestone and they told me it is the transmission. They said I should call Nissan dealership because my model and year is known for this problem and should be a recall. So I call Nissan and they said yes there is some recalls for that year and model but my vin number isn’t on recall list. That doesn’t make since to me. Are they installing different transmissions in the same year and model?
On December 23rd, my 2014 Nissan Sentra lost all acceleration power while driving. The car was then towed to a nearby independent service center where they discovered a faulty transmission. I was made aware of the CVT Transmission recall by Nissan and I believe this is the issue with my car. I would like to have my car inspected by an authorized Nissan dealership so that the proper actions can be taken to repair all malfunctions.

CVT failure. When putting the vehicle in gear, or idling while in gear, engine stalls. When this occurs on roadways, the car may or may not be drivable and puts the occupants of the vehicle as well as other motorists at risk. The problem has been confirmed by an independent service center. This does not appear to be a wear issue, the vehicle has low mileage and has been properly maintained. There are no warning messages or dashboard indicator lights suggesting a problem.

I've gone to the Nissan center in Antioch to have the transmission fixed due to a failure on the freeway. Cars Rpms went up and my foot was pressed down on the accelerator. The Center said they fixed it and I shouldn't have issues. 4 years later I'm starting to have the same issues.
I was driving to work, rpm’s suddenly started to surge. Pulled up to a stop light to get off the road and vehicle stopped in the middle of the intersection and would not move except in reverse. Other vehicles(semis) had to brake hard and go around me. Called Nissan and they said they couldn’t do anything since it is at 120k miles and I feel they are 100% liable since there was a class action for this type of repair.

Hello I was driving on the highway yesterday when my transmission failed. The car stopped accelerating and would not increase speed despite my foot being on the gas. I was hit several times before navigating to the median. If not for me being calm under pressure my life and the lives of other motorists were at risk. This is unacceptable.
Transmission (CVT) seems to be slipping between or not wanting to change gears. The car will shake, judder, stall during acceleration. If I needed to accelerate suddenly, The car would stall and judder potentially causing an accident. I have a service appointment scheduled with a dealer to investigate. The vehicle has NOT been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others. There there no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure. While driving RPM needle started going up and down and car stopped accelerating. Had car towed to repair shop to be told the transmission is bad. This could easily have caused an accident. Nissan needs to issue a recall and replace these. All the previous complaints shows an obvious problem.
While driving on the highway and when I try to accelerate in my Nissan Sentra, I've noticed that my transmission was starting to jerk. Because of this, I took my Nissan Sentra to a Nissan service center to get it inspected. The mechanic informed me that my transmission is faulty. I purchased my car in 2014 and only have 68,000 miles on it so I was shocked that my transmission is already having issues. Once I started to research Nissan Sentra CVT transmissions online, I noticed that there were numerous complainants from many consumers regarding this CVT transmission. I was told by the mechanic that I had to replace and fully pay for the transmission which costs $6,500 and Nissan Corporate was not going to help in anyway. This is unacceptable that Nissan is selling cars with faulty parts knowing that they will have to be repaired or replaced sooner than anyone can anticipate. It's also very dangerous to drive on these transmissions as they can breakdown any moment, potentially leading to a car accident and bodily injuries. My warranty has expired last August 2021 and I only have 53354 milage. The dealer quoted me 4k to fix. I called Nissan Corporate and they said they would cover half of cost. This car is not safe to drive it changes speeds without notice and doesn't accelerate. It goes from 65mph to 45mph. This is dangerous on the highway. The dealer and corporate are aware of the danger. Confused at why would I have to pay a dime to fix if they know there are issues with the transmission.
2014 Sentra with 99000 miles. Car would have trouble going forward until reached 25 miles an hour then would excelerate until you got to about 55 and then decelerate to about 20 miles an hour. i was driving my 2014 nisaan sentra sv and when merging into traffic from the off ramp as i turned and accelerated in that second the car downshifted and accelerated enough to put me in danger due to the oncoming vehicles it then shook and i had the gas pedal depressed completely the vehicle then jerked real hard and would not go thankfully the vehicles that were oncoming seen me with just enough time to almost cause a huge car accident they slowed however you could hear brakes and see people behind the first vehicle swerving due to the sudden stop because of me i was honked at cussed at flipped off someone even threw a drink at my car and it could have been way worse the vehicle would not shift i had to get out in the middle of highway to push my car into a safe zone where i was in danger not to mention i lost my job for the simple fact it was my first day at my new career in johnstown at high country beverage since i purchassed this vehicle on July 3 2021 the dealership sold me a lemon vehicle that absolutely would not pass emissions in which i had to force dealership to re issue my temp tags 3 times due to the failed attemps and they would not give me my money back they had several attemps and chances to fix the issue in which they never did ive spent hundreds of dollars out of my pocket to figure it out and finally jan 2022 i was able to pass emissions , then shortly after in feb 2022 the car kept dying out and reading p0101 p0102 code mass air flow sensor and low circut current i spent 400 dollars to fix this issue theres more

Car would shake and stutter in the middle of acceleration. After a stop, my car would hold back and jump before it accelerated again. The RPM meter would also shoot up and the car would begin to pull in the middle of the freeway. Very unsafe.
I first had an issue with my transmission in 2016, maybe a year after purchasing, at 72k miles. I was driving on the interstate at 75/80mph when suddenly my car decelerated rapidly, with a large tractor trailer directly behind me. I veered off the interstate, onto the shoulder, with the tractor trailer barely missing me. My 11 year old son was also with me. After that, I’d occasionally have issues with my car not wanting to accelerate at all. I got stuck a few times in the roadway, until it would suddenly work again 20-30 minutes later after sitting. My next long trip was a 3 hour trip from home several months later. My transmission died, while driving, at about 45mph. I couldn’t make it back home and had to have it towed. It was replaced, and I’m having new issues now, which I’ll put in a second report. What are your children worth to you? Do you want them to be in an accident because a cvt transmission failed in front of them and you or your children’s responsible party couldn’t stop on time? What are my children worth? This is 4 years after my first transmission died and was replaced. I couldn’t keep my car speed up in evening traffic, at 65mph, and my RPM’s began to jump back and forth, never steadying. My car jerked so badly I was struggling to control it and several cars had to pass me, going into the lane to the left of me. I had to drive it one more day, tonight, and after 60 minutes of driving, at 70mph on the interstate, when 3/4 of the way home, it began violently jerking again and RPM’s were jumping uncontrollably. Again, I struggled to control the vehicle and had to decelerate by removing my foot from the gas pedal. I had to put my emergency lights on, so other vehicles would hopefully go around me. Almost home, I could barely accelerate after stopping for a red light, then my car dramatically slowed to about 10mph with a tractor trailer approaching behind me, though thankfully, on a less-traveled road, so I had time to pull over, not completely stopping because I was afraid it wouldn’t accelerate at all if I did, from experience with the first transmission. After the truck passed, I slowly managed to make it uphill to the next intersection, where again, once accelerating when I turned, the car began jerking erratically. It never made it above 30mph for the last 3 minutes home. It was late at night and very dark. This car - this transmission issue - is absolutely terrifying. To drive along a consistent speed and suddenly have an out-of-control vehicle, with numerous cars around you while driving 70mph, is terrifying. My last transmission died while driving - had that happened on the dark interstate, no doubt I would have caused an accident. I have a 2.5 year old amd 15 year old - there is no way I trust this vehicle with them in it. I’m now afraid of my vehicle stopping in the middle of a busy roadway and causing a catastrophic accident just to get it to the dealership 25 minutes away. Death, injury, and/or trauma is waiting. Our children are worth more than this.

CVT transmission has never been right since the car was nearly new. Shifting was erratic and would slip as it shifted to a higher gear, twice the car lost speed on the highway, motor running and RPM's revving indicating a transmission failure. We had it in to be checked under warranty twice (under 55,000 miles). All they would do is a software upgrade and said there was nothing wrong with it. The problems got worse and we took it to another dealer. They dropped the pan and "checked" for metal shavings. New fluid added and sent on our way again, saying nothing is wrong, that this is normal for a CVT transmission. Obviously no one was going to fix or replace it and all we could do was to continue to drive the vehicle. Now the transmission has failed completely. RPM's jumping up and down, car jerking, loss of power, we were worried of getting rear ended as we couldn't drive at a continuous speed. We barely made to a relatives house to park it. It has been towed to the dealer again and is being checked out. I cannot believe a recall has never been filed for the CVT transmission in these vehicles. Obviously Nissan is not going to do anything about the problem, even though there are thousands of complaints and a class action lawsuit filed against Nissan for this safety hazard.

EVER SINCE I FIRST BROUGHT THE VEHICLE BRAND NEW WITH 23 MILES ON IT I'VE HAD PROBLEMS WITH WHAT ALMOST SEEMS LIKE THE TRANSMISSION, BUT I THINK IT'S A SENSOR THAT TELL THE CAR TO SHIFT OR GIVE GAS. SAID CVT WAS BAD, LIKE ALL NISSAN TRANSMISSIONS, AND THAT IT NEEDED TO BE REBUILT. THE PRICE THEY WERE GOING TO CHARGE WAS A LITTLE STEEP BUT IT ALSO CAME WITH A 3 YEAR WARRANTY, ANYTHING HAPPENS TO THE TRANSMISSION IN 3 YEARS AND THEY FIX FOR FREE. I WAS TALKED INTO GOING TO NISSAN TO GET A NISSAN CERTIFIED DIAGNOSTIC AND PAY $105 FOR SOMETHING I ALREADY KNEW. THEY CALLED ME 2 DAYS AFTER MY APPOINTMENT TO TELL ME THAT IT WAS INDEED THE CVT , SURPRISE SURPRISE. I MADE A CLAIM WITH NISSAN TO SEE IF I COULD GET ANY OUT OF REGULAR WARRANTY ASSISTANCE FOR MY 4 YEAR OLD CAR THAT I STILL OWE A LOT OF MONEY ON. AFTER A WEEK OF WAITING AND $200+ DOLLARS IN RENTAL CAR FEES THAT I HAVE TO PAY FOR WAITING, NISSAN GETS BACK TO ME SAYING THEY CAN OFFER A LITTLE BIT OF ASSISTANCE. I GUESS A LITTLE BIT IS BETTER THAN NOTHING BUT NOW I AM FORCE TO WAIT 2+ WEEKS BC THE DEALERSHIP ONLY HAS 1 NISSAN CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN TO WORK ON 15 PLUS VEHICLES A DAY. THIS 2014 NISSAN SENTRA HAS BEEN IN MY POSSESSION SINCE SEPTEMBER 12, 2015. THE ISSUE STARTED UP ON SUNDAY, JULY 1, 2018. I NOTICED THE CAR HESITATING AND "JERKING" WHENEVER I ATTEMPTED TO ACCELERATE ABOVE 40 MPH TO REACH HIGHWAY SPEED. THE PROBLEM INCREASED DRAMATICALLY OVER THE WEEK, AND DURING MY COMMUTE ON FRIDAY, JULY 6, 2018, MY CAR WAS RESISTING ACCELERATING, RPM WOULD JUMP UP AND DOWN WHILE ATTEMPTING TO GET TO HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND ACCELERATION SEEMED TO BE THE MOST DIFFICULT THING TO ACCOMPLISH. ON MY WAY BACK HOME FROM WORK ON FRIDAY JULY 6, 2018 IS WHEN THE PROBLEM BECAME BLATANTLY DANGEROUS. I ENDED UP EXPERIENCING A SUDDEN "DROP" IN SPEED ON THE HIGHWAY. THE CAR WENT FROM 65 MPH TO 30 MPH AND REFUSED TO GO ANY FASTER. THE RPM DID JUMP DRAMATICALLY AT ONE POINT, FROM BARELY OVER 1 RPM LEAPING UP TO 7 RMP, THOUGH THE CAR'S SPEED DID NOT INCREASE. THE CAR WHINED LOUDLY WHEN THAT HAPPENED, THEN IT PLUMMETED BACK DOWN TO THE BARELY OVER 1 RMP. I MANAGED TO GET THE CAR BACK UP TO HIGHWAY SPEED ON A DOWNHILL PORTION OF THE HIGHWAY, AND GOT MYSELF ALMOST TO MY HOME. THE CAR CEASED TO ACCELERATE OR EVEN RECOGNIZE I WAS PUSHING ON THE GAS PEDAL AFTER COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP AT AN INTERSECTION 8 BLOCKS FROM MY HOME. I CALLED MY BOYFRIEND WHO CAME DOWN TO ASSIST A KIND NEIGHBOR WHO HEARD ME TRYING TO GET MY CAR GOING BY TURNING IT ON AND BACK OFF NUMEROUS TIMES TO NO AVAIL. HE THOUGHT IT "SIMPLY NEEDED TRANSMISSION FLUID", AS THE CAR SOUNDED LIKE IT WANTED TO GO....JUST COULDN'T "CATCH GEARS". THIS GENTLEMAN AND MY BOYFRIEND ENDED UP GIVING THE NISSAN A PUSH/RUNNING START AFTER I STARTED IT BACK UP AND PUT IT INTO DRIVE. INCREDIBLY, THIS ALLOWED THE CAR TO MAKE THE LAST 8 BLOCKS TO MY DRIVEWAY, WHERE THE CAR CAME TO A VERY ABRUPT, HALTING STOP AFTER PUTTING IT INTO PARK. TERRIFIED TO DRIVE IT, MY DEALERSHIP IS NEARLY 100 MILES AWAY..LEAVING ME SOL.

MY CAR THEN DROPPED DOWN TO 25 AND THE RPMS KEPT REVVING. I'M IN TRAFFIC, CARS ARE SWERVING NOT TO HIT ME BECAUSE THE SPEED LIMIT IS 40 MPH. I ENDED UP PULLING INTO A SHOPPING CENTER WHERE MY CAR WAS STILL IN DRIVE BUT WOULD NOT MOVE WHEN I PUT MY FOOT ON THE GAS. SINCE I WAS IN VIRGINIA TO VISIT A FRIEND, I DROVE MY CAR WITH MY HAZARD LIGHTS ON FOR 2.5 (WHICH TOOK 20 MINUTES BECAUSE I COULDN'T GET OVER 25 MPH) AND PARKED IT AT HIS HOUSE. I ENDED UP HAVING IT TOWED FROM VIRGINIA BACK TO MARYLAND THE NEXT MONDAY. I BOUGHT MY CAR BRAND NEW OFF THE LOT WITH 36 MILES ON IT. I HAD ALREADY HAD MY TRANSMISSION REPLACE WITH THE 36,000 MILE WARRANTY (NISSAN HAD TO REPLACE IT). THIS IS DANGEROUS. WHAT IF MY TRANSMISSION WOULD HAVE STARTED STALLING ON 95 SOUTH? I MIGHT NOW HAVE BEEN FILLING THIS COMPLAINT RIGHT NOW.

LUCKILY, TRAFFIC WAS LIGHT AND I WAS ABLE TO NAVIGATE WITHOUT CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. UPON STARTING FROM A LIGHT, THE ENGINE LAGGED TRYING TO ACCELERATE LIKE IT HAD NO POWER. THEN IT REVVED TO REDLINE WITHOUT ANY ACCELERATION. ACCELERATION CONTROL WAS NOW COMPLETELY GONE ON A 40MPH ROAD. THANKFULLY, I MADE IT TO A TWO LANE ROAD OUT OF TRAFFIC WHEN IT HAPPENED AND COASTED APPROXIMATELY A HALF MILE HOME. CAR WAS TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP WITH 62,000 MILES ON IT. THEY ADVISED THE CVT NOT REPAIRABLE AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT AS THEY FOUND PIECES OF THE DRIVE BELT AND WASHERS PRESENT IN THE TRANSMISSION PAN. THEY SAID THE FACTORY WARRANTY WAS 5-YEARS/60,000 MILES AND WOULD NOT ASSIST. CONTACTED NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS. THEY DECLINED TO ASSIST STATING THEY WOULD NOT HELP BECAUSE IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY, PREOWNED AND THEY COULD NOT LOCATE SERVICE RECORDS. THE DEALERSHIP NOW WANTS $3,800 TO REPLACE THE CVT. THIS IS A DANGEROUS PROBLEM NISSAN KNOWS ABOUT AND WILL NOT ASSIST. IT CAUSES AN IMMEDIATE LOSS OF ACCELERATION CONTROL AND NEAR STATIONARY TRAFFIC IMPEDANCE.

WHEN PRESSED, STATED REASONS FOR THIS COMPONENT GOING OUT WAS UNKNOWN AND THEY WERE UNAWARE OF ANY OTHER ISSUES RELATED TO THIS PARTICULAR PROBLEM. FAILURE MILEAGE 39724. AFTER PART REPLACEMENT (UNDER POWER-TRAIN WARRANTY) CAR WAS DRIVEN APPROXIMATELY AN HOUR ON CITY ROADS BEFORE EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS AGAIN. PROBLEMS, WHILE DRIVING, INCLUDED RPM SURGING TO 6, WITH RAPID ACCELERATION AND THEN MAJOR DECREASE IN POWER. AT STOPLIGHT, CAR FELT AS IF IT HAD CUT OFF. GAS PEDAL HAD TO BE DEPRESSED FULLY TO THE FLOOR IN ORDER TO MOVE FROM STOPPED POSITION (AT STOPLIGHT). VEHICLE'S SUDDEN ACCELERATION AND DECREASE IN POWER IS A SAFETY HAZARD WHILE BOTH INTERSTATE AND CITY DRIVING. RAPID ACCELERATION AND LOOSE OF POWER COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. WITHIN THE FIRST FEW MINUTES OF DRIVING EACH TIME I USE THE CAR, IT HAS NO POWER AND FEELS AS IF IT WANTS TO "PULL BACK" AND HINDER ME FROM MOVING FORWARD. I'VE TAKEN THE CAR TO TWO MECHANICS AND HAVE HAD THE TRANSMISSION LOOKED OVER. BOTH MECHANICS BELIEVE THAT THE TRANSMISSION IS THE UNDERLYING PROBLEM. AFTER RESEARCHING CVC TRANSMISSIONS ON OTHER 2014 SENTRAS, I'VE DISCOVERED THAT MANY OTHER OWNERS HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUE WITH EVEN LESS MILEAGE THAN MY OWN CAR. MANY OF THESE SENTRA DRIVERS FELT UNSAFE DRIVING THEIR VEHICLES. I TOO, FEEL THAT CONTINUING TO DRIVE MY CAR IS A HAZARD TO ME AND OTHER DRIVERS AS THE FALTERING AND JERKING OF THE ENGINE ARE UNPREDICTABLE WHICH COULD CAUSE A POTENTIAL WRECK. MY TOW TRUCK DRIVER SAID HE SEES THIS ALL THE TIME WITH NISSAN'S CVT TRANSMISSION FAILURES. NISSAN DECLINED TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE WITH THE COST OF REPAIRS BECAUSE MY CAR WAS 22,000 MILES PAST THE LIMITED POWERTRAIN WARRANTY, AND BECAUSE THIS YEAR SENTRA IS NOT PART OF ANY CURRENT TRANSMISSION RECALL. IT IS MY HOPE TO CALL ATTENTION TO A PRODUCT THAT MIGHT NEED TO BE RECALLED, AS IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH THESE VEHICLES. CONSUMERS WHO BUY NISSAN SENTRAS ARE OFTEN BUDGET-MINDED, AND A REPAIR THAT EXCEEDS $4,000 IS NOT EXPECTED AT 2 YEARS OF OWNERSHIP, NOR SHOULD IT BE.

MT VEHICLE SINCE I BOUGHT IT WITH ONLY 3 MILES HAS WHEN COMING TO A STOP START TO SHAKE VIGOROUSLY BROUGHT IT TO THE ATTENTION WHEN I HAD MY AC COMPRESSOR REPLACED AT ONLY 50,000 MILES , MIND YOU I DO DRIVE MY VEHICLE ALOT 125 MILES A DAY AND ITS ALL HIGHWAY BUT I ALSO MAINTAIN IT REGULARLY// THE VEHICLE GOING AT 65 MILES PER HOUR THE OTHER DAY STARTED TO HESITATE AND RPMS STARTED TO JUMP HIGHER AND LOSE POWER ON A MAIN HIGHWAY DURING THE AFTERNOON IN SAN ANTONIO WHERE TRAFFIC IS BAD I HAD MY LITTLE GIRL AND THAT LOSS OF ACCELERATION AND JUMP /CLUNK ALMOST CAUSED ME TO GET REAR ENDED BY A 18 WHEELER WHICH HONKED AT ME AND SCARED MY LITTLE GIRL// AFTER RESEARCH ON THIS MAKE AND MODEL I HAVE FOUND THAT THERE HAS BEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS IN THE SAME REGARD SAME ISSUE RISKING LIFE AND SAFETY DUE TO A FAULT THAT NISSAN KNOWS ABOUT DUE TO RECALL THEY SET FOR 03 - 10 YEARS AND MODELS USING THE CVT TRANSMISSION NOW MY VEHICLE IS A 2014 AND AFTER RESEARCH SEE THAT MANY CONSUMERS ARE PUT IN THE SAME DANGEROUS SITUATION AND HAVE COMPLAINED ONLY FOR IT TO FALL ON DEAF EARS. MY TRANSMISSION HAS GONE OUT TWICE SINCE I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN JUNE 2015. IN OCTOBER 2015, MY CAR WOULDN'T ACCELERATE. I TOOK IT TO THE LOCAL NISSAN DEALERSHIP IN WHICH THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WAS ELECTRICAL WIRING FROM MY TAIL LIGHTS TO MY BRAKE. 3 MONTHS LATER, MY CAR HAS THE SAME SYMPTOMS. I TAKE IT TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP AGAIN AND THEY TELL ME THAT IT'S THE TRANSMISSION AND EVENTUALLY, AFTER SEVERAL WEEKS OF CONVERSING BACK AND FORTH, THEY FINALLY AGREE TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION AFTER MY CAR WON'T SHIFT OUT OF FIRST GEAR ON MY WAY HOME FROM SCHOOL, AROUND 10 PM, ON THE BYPASS GOING ABOUT 35MPH ALL BY MYSELF. IT TOOK APPROXIMATELY A MONTH FOR THE CAR TO START BEING SYMPTOMATIC, YET AGAIN. I TAKE IT BACK AND DROP IT OFF FOR ABOUT 3 DAYS. THEY CAN'T FIND THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM WITHOUT A SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT ON SO THEY TELL ME THERE'S NOTHING TO DO AND THEY SEND IT BACK TO ME. THIS HAPPENS A FEW TIMES WITHIN A COUPLE OF MONTHS. SEVERAL WEEKS GO BY WITH THE CAR STILL BEING SYMPTOMATIC AND NOT SHIFTING GEARS CORRECTLY. THE CAR KEEPS JUMPING AND WON'T DRIVE CORRECTLY SO I FINALLY TAKE IT BACK TO NISSAN, AFTER CALLING ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND THEM TELLING ME THAT NOTHING CAN BE DONE UNTIL THEY SEE A SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT ON THE CAR FOR IT TO THROW A CODE. TODAY, OCTOBER 3, 2016, I TAKE IT BACK TO COLUMBUS NISSAN AND ABOUT HALFWAY THERE, IT WON'T SHIFT. IT THEN WONT ACCELERATE ONCE I OFF OF THE BYPASS SO I HAD TO LITERALLY ROLL INTO THE PARKING LOT OF THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP. THEY THEN TELL ME THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING REALLY BECAUSE THE SERVICE LIGHT ISN'T ON AND THE SERVICE MEN ARE AT LUNCH. TIFFANY, AN EMPLOYEE OF COLUMBUS NISSAN, OFFERS ME A RIDE BACK TO MY APARTMENT AND TO LEAVE ME CAR THERE FOR THEM TO LOOK AT IT AFTER LUNCH. THEY LATER CALL ME AND TELL ME IT'S MY TRANSMISSION OUT YET AGAIN. THEY'RE WAITING TO HEAR BACK FROM THE NISSAN USA BUSINESS.

MY 2014 NISSAN SENTRA HAS ISSUES WITH ACCELERATION. AT VARIOUS TIMES EVEN WITH THE ACCELERATOR FULL PUSHED DOWN, THE CAR WILL NOT ACCELERATE AND WILL EVENTUALLY SLOW TO UNDER 20 MPH EVEN ON A FLAT SURFACE. NISSAN HAS REPAIRED THE ISSUE ONCE, BUT NOW WILL NOT RESPOND TO MY CORRESPONDENCE IN REGARDS TO THE ISSUE, NOW THE CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY AND IS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE, I HAVE LESS THAN 45K ON THE CAR. IN ADDITION, THE TAILS LIGHTS ARE RETAINING MOISTURE, I HAVE READ THAT THIS MAY BE CAUSING A SHORT IN THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND MAY BE THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR AND IT IS NOW PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES AND THE PROBLEM STILL REMAINS UNRESOLVED. MILEAGE AT THE FIRST INCIDENT IS APPROXIMATE, BUT IT DID HAPPEN LESS THAN A YEAR AFTER PURCHASING THE CAR NEW.

I DEPRESSED THE GAS PEDAL BUT THE CAR CONTINUED TO SLOW DOWN TO ABOUT 45 MPH, THEN STARTED SLOWLY GAINING SPEED. AFTER WORK, I DROVE HOME WITHOUT INCIDENT. NEXT DAY WAS FOGGY SO NOT USING CRUISE CONTROL. VEHICLE SLOWED DOWN AGAIN FROM 60 MPH DOWN TO ABOUT 45 MPH. ALSO GOT NO RESPONSE WHEN DEPRESSING GAS PEDAL. THIS TIME THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD CAME ON. DROVE HOME AFTER WORK WITHOUT INCIDENT. I HAD GOTTEN THE OIL CHANGED THE DAY BEFORE THE FIRST INCIDENT HAPPENED. I HAD NO PREVIOUS PROBLEMS PRIOR TO THAT. THE ISSUE SEEMS TO HAVE RESOLVED ITSELF AS THE CAR IS RUNNING FINE NOW. IF IT OCCURS AGAIN, I'LL HAVE IT CHECKED OUT.

MY DAUGHTER PARKED ON A SLIGHTLY INCLINING DRIVEWAY AND WAS EXITING THE VEHICLE. SHE HEARD A GRINDING NOISE AND THE CAR STARTED ROLLING BACKWARDS. SHE JUMPED BACK IN THE SEAT AND ATTEMPTED TO STOP THE CAR BUT STATES " THE BRAKES WOULDN'T WORK". THE CAR WAS OFF AND THE KEYS WERE IN HER HAND. THE DOOR WAS BENT COMPLETELY BACKWARDS AND HAS TO BE REPLACED. THE CAR IS UNDRIVEABLE UNTIL I CAN GET IT REPAIRED. I WILL ADD THAT I BOUGHT THE CAR 1 MONTH AGO WITH 6651 MILES ON IT.
