The contact owns a 2004 Nissan Titan. The contact stated while driving approximately 35 MPH and descending a hill, the brake pedal was depressed and went to the floor. The contact stated that she pumped the brake pedal, but the vehicle failed to respond immediately. The contact then used the gear lever to shift to neutral(N) and then to park(P) and the vehicle stopped. The contact then turned the vehicle off. The contact stated that prior to the brake failure the instrument panel lights had started to flash on and off. The contact restarted the vehicle, and the brake functionality returned. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent but had gradually become more frequent. The contact stated that the brake failure and instrument panel lights malfunction occurred three times in one day. The contact had been unable to schedule an appointment with a dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 88,290.

WHILE DRIVING FOR 20 MINUTES AND I'D SAY 25 MILES PER HOUR, MY TRUCK JUST STALLS THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WORKING, BUT NO ENGINE POWER! THE TRUCK JUST STOP RUNNING. IN MY ATTEMPT TO RESTART THE ENGINE THE STARTER WILL TURN BUT NO START. I AM NOW STRANDED IN TRAFFIC AND IF IT WAS NOT FOR GOOD SAMARITANS WHO HELP ME PUSH THE TRUCK TO THE CURB. THIS HAPPENED TWICE IN THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS. I'VE REPLACED MY BATTERY AND IT DIED FOR SECOND TIME! THANKFULLY I WAS ON THE CITY STREET BOTH TIMES. BOTH TIMES I WAITED AWHILE TRIED TO START UP WITH NO SUCCESS, BUT IT STARTED ONLY AFTERWARDS GETTING A JUMP START!? THIS SEEMS TO BE AN ISSUE FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE SO I'M OFFICIALLY REPORTING. I'VE OWNED THIS CAR FOR 16 YEARS. IN THAT TIME, I'VE REPEATEDLY HAD ISSUES WITH THE BRAKING SYSTEM AT DIFFERENT TIMES STARTING IN 2006, BUT DEFINITELY IN 2009. I'VE BROUGHT IT UP WITH DEALERS IN BOTH SACO, ME & WAKE FOREST, NC. EACH TIME THEY CANNOT FIND A PROBLEM. FINALLY AFTER THE LAST TIME THE DEALER SAID THERE WAS A BULLETIN ABOUT THE COMPUTER NEEDING AN UPDATE. WHICH COST MULTIPLE HUNDREDS TO INSTALL. THIS INSTALL DEFINITELY DECREASED THE INCIDENTS OF MULTIPLE BRAKE FAILINGS WHILE DRIVING, BUT DIDN'T COMPLETELY FIX THE PROBLEM. I'M JUST NOW LEARNING THAT IT'S A FAULTY DELTA STROKE SENSOR IN THE BRAKE BOOSTER AND IS A KNOWN PROBLEM TO NISSAN FOR THE TITAN AND ARMADA MODELS. I NEVER GOT THE POSTCARD ABOUT THE CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT, BUT IT WOULDN'T HAVE HELPED SINCE THEY NEVER IDENTIFIED THE ISSUE OR MAYBE EVEN HID IT FROM ME DURING MY VISITS. BECAUSE OF THIS I'M OUT OF THE WINDOW FOR THE LAWSUIT AND AM STILL HAVING PROBLEMS. MY '04 STILL ONLY HAS 78,000 MILES AND MULTIPLE OTHER PEOPLE ARE HAVING THIS SAME ISSUE. NISSAN JUST HAD TO PAY 25 MILLION TO A FAMILY THAT WAS HIT BY ONE OF THESE AFFECTED VEHICLES, BUT STILL WILL NOT CLAIM THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE DELTA SENSOR AND BRAKE BOOSTER. PLEASE MAKE THEM FIX THIS ISSUE TO SAVE LIVES AND PAY FOR SOMETHING THEY KNOW HAS BEEN AN ISSUE FOR A VERY LONG TIME. THE BOOSTER CAN BE RESET AND THE PROBLEM GOES AWAY, BUT TO DO THIS YOU HAVE TO STOP THE CAR WITH THE BRAKES FLUTTERING AND NOT RESPONDING. THEN YOU SHUT OFF THE CAR FOR 10 SECONDS AND RESTART THE CAR. THIS USUALLY FIXES THE ISSUE, BUT IT CAN RETURN AT ANY TIME. USUALLY WHEN YOU'VE ALREADY BEEN DRIVING FOR AWHILE. STARTED BACK IN 2006, BUT GOT WORSE IN 2009. COMPUTER FIX LESSENED ISSUE, BUT STILL OCCURS AT RANDOM TIMES.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 159,500.

THE INTELLIGENT POWER DISTRIBUTION MODULE (IPDM) ASSEMBLY CONTAINS AN ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) RELAY THAT HAS A DIODE FOR ELECTRICAL CURRENT NOISE REDUCTION. THE ECM RELAY MAY ALLOW SILICON VAPOR TO FORM AND, OVER TIME, THE SILICON EVAPORATES FROM THE DIODE MOLDING WHICH CAUSES SILICON OXIDE TO DEVELOP ON THE ECM RELAY CONTACT DUE TO ARCING., I HAVE OWNED THIS TRUCK SINCE 2005, WHY WAS I NOT NOTIFIED BY NISSAN OF THIS RECALL, AND WHAT CAN I DO TO CORRECT THIS DANGEROUS SITUATION?

MY HUSBAND COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED. WE HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF ANY RECALLS. TWO DAYS AGO MY HUSBAND WAS GETTING IN THE TRUCK AND ALL OF A SUDDEN SMOKE STARTED COMING FROM THE DASH BOARD AND A FIRE WAS STARTING. HE IMMEDIATELY RAN IN THE TRUCK STOP STORE AND WAS ABLE TO GET A FIRE EXTINGUISHER. ANOTHER CUSTOMER UNHOOKED THE BATTERY AS MY HUSBAND DISTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THE TRUCK WILL NOT START AND WHEN TRYING TO TEST IT OUT BY RE-ATTACHING THE BATTERY THE SMOKE BEGAN AGAIN. WE ARE NOW WITHOUT A VEHICLE AND HAD TO GET THE TRUCK TOWED HOME.

I WAS DRIVING MY 2004 NISSAN TITAN FROM WORK WHEN COMING UP TO A STOP LEAVING THE LONG DRIVEWAY TO ENTER THE MAIN RD I PUSHED ON THE BRAKES AND THE PEDAL DROPPED TO THE FLOOR AND BEGAN VIBRATING AND MAKING A GRINDING NOISE LIKE WHEN YOU STEP ON THE PEDAL VERY HARD AND THE ABS COMES ON, EXCEPT THE BRAKES DID NOT ENGAGE. THE TRUCK DID NOT STOP. I FLEW THROUGH THE STOP SIGN IN FRONT OF OTHER COWORKERS LEAVING A BUILDING TO THE NORTH. THE ROAD ONLY WENT LEFT AND RIGHT SO I COULD NOT MAKE THE TURN SO I HAD NO OPTIONS AND WENT ACROSS THE ROAD, HIT THE CURB, WENT INTO A FIELD WHERE A MESQUITE TREE STOPPED ME. I PUT THE TRUCK INTO PARK AND SHUT IT OFF. WHEN I RESTARTED IT THE BRAKES ARE BACK AND WORKING LIKE NOTHING EVER HAPPENED. I LEFT THE TRUCK THERE AND WENT HOME TO BEGIN MY NORMAL GOOGLE SEARCHES AND WHAT'S THE CAUSE AND HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM MYSELF. I'VE FOUND HUNDREDS IF NOT THOUSANDS OF ONLINE COMPLAINTS ON THIS VERY ISSUE. THE MOST RECENT NOTES ARE OF A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT THAT NISSAN HAS AGREED TO PAY BECAUSE OF FAULTY PARTS THAT CAUSE THEIR VEHICLES NOT TO STOP. THE BRAKE ON MY 04 NISSAN TITAN WOULD QUIT WORKING INTERMITTENTLY. THE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AND IT PULSATED AND SEEMED TO HAVE NO BRAKE. ALL THE SERVICE LIGHTS WENT ON. I HAVE NO CONTROL OF THE BRAKE AT ALL. VERY SCARY FEELING. I HAD TO PULL OVER THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND SHUT DOWN THE ENGINE AND RESTARTED AND THE PROBLEM WENT AWAY. IT HAPPENED INTERMITTENTLY. IMAGINE DRIVING DOWN A MOUNTAINOUS ROAD IN IDAHO STATE. YOU ARE GOING DOWN A HILL IN A PICK-UP TRUCK PULLING A CAMPER. ALL OF A SUDDEN YOUR VEHICLE GOES INTO LIMP MODE - IT WON'T REV OVER 1000 RPM. YOU LOOK TO PULL OVER BUT THERE IS ONLY A SMALL SHOULDER. VEHICLES ARE SKIDDING TRYING TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT AS YOUR VEHICLE IS DISABLED AND ONLY PARTIALLY OFF THE ROAD. AFTER FIXING THE PROBLEM, I REALIZED THE TRUCK SHOULD NEVER HAVE GONE INTO LIMP MODE. IT IS A CRITICAL DESIGN FLAW WITH THE VEHICLE. I WAS PUT IN HARMS WAY FOR NO REASON. ALL VEHICLES USE TO HAVE THE ENGINE SPEED CONTROLLED VIA MECHANICAL LINKAGE OR CABLES FOR THE GAS PEDAL. VERY FEW FAILURES EXISTED WITH THIS DESIGN. TODAY GAS PEDAL RUN BY A WIRE THAT SENDS AN ELECTRONIC SIGNAL TO THE VEHICLES COMPUTER. THE COMPUTER IN TURN EVALUATES THE GAS PEDAL POSITION WHICH THEN SENDS A SIGNAL TO THE FUEL INJECTORS AND THROTTLE BODY TO CONTROL THE ENGINE. THE CRITICAL DESIGN FLAW COMES INTO PLAY WHEN VEHICLE DESIGNERS COMBINE OTHER ELECTRONIC SENSORS ON THE SAME CIRCUIT AS THE GAS PEDAL. NON-CRITICAL COMPONENTS LIKE GAS EVAPORATOR SENSORS, POWER STEERING SENSORS, AIR CONDITIONER SENSORS. WHEN ANY OF THESE NON-CRITICAL ITEMS EXPERIENCE AN ELECTRICAL SHORT, THE VEHICLE GOES INTO LIMP MODE POTENTIALLY PUTTING DRIVERS IN HARM'S WAY DOES THIS RECOMMENDED SOLUTION FIX ALL PROBLEMS RELATED TO THE GAS PEDAL? NO IT DOES NOT. IT IS A LOT SAFER. I BELIEVE NHTSA SHOULD EVALUATE & ASSESS THIS CRITICAL DESIGN FLAW. I HAVE BEEN A CONTROLS ENGINEER FOR 28 YRS AND THIS DESIGN IS NOT SAFE. ON 6/20/2008 I WENT TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP TO RESOLVE A RECALL ITEM TO REPLACE REAR DOOR WIRING HARNESS, RECALL # R0616. THE RECALL WAS PERFORMED AND IN THE PROCESS THE DEALERSHIP ALSO REPLACED LH-PRETENSIONER, SEATBELT AND BODY HARNESS, AND RESET AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT. ON 6/03/2013, THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND I WENT TO A NEARBY NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND WAS ADVISED THAT I WOULD HAVE TO REPLACE THE LH-PRETENSIONER, SEATBELT AND BODY HARNESS, I INFORMED THE SERVICE ADVISOR THAT THIS WORK WAS ALREADY ACCOMPLISHED ONCE AND THAT I HAD THE DOCUMENTS IF HE NEEDED THEM. THE SERVICE ADVISOR THEN STATED THAT SINCE THE WORK WAS ACCOMPLISHED FIVE YEARS AGO THAT EVEN THOUGH THE PARTS ARE A SAFETY ITEM THAT THEY WERE NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY, RESULTING IN A 574.30 CHARGE OF WHICH I PAID. MY CONTENTION IS THAT THIS IS A SAFETY ITEM, AND THUS SHOULD NOT HAVE A WARRANTY RESTRICTION, I AM NOT SURE IF THE TRUCK IS EVEN SAFE TO DRIVE. *TR

THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE FAILED A STATE INSPECTION, BECAUSE THE AIR BAG LIGHT WAS ON. THE CONSUMER STATED SINCE THE FIX DID NOT ELIMINATE THE POTENTIAL HAZARDOUS CONDITION OF THE FAULTY WIRING HARNESS INSTALLED BY THE MANUFACTURER, HE BELIEVED HE WAS ENTITLED TO REFUND OF $ 185.60 WHEN HE HAD TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS, THAT SHOULD HAVE PREVIOUSLY BEEN MADE UNDER THE RECALL.

I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN THE MAIL THIS WEEK: RECALL 06V-459 ABOUT THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT FLASHING, SEAT BELTS NOT WORKING PROPERLY, ETC. MY VEHICLE IS HAVING ALL OF THE PROBLEMS LISTED SO AS INSTRUCTED I BROUGHT MY VEHICLE TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP ALONG WITH THE LETTER. ON MAY 3, 2012, I SAW MY SIDE MIRROR LIGHTS WERE NOT TURNING OFF, EVEN WHILE DRIVING. I SCHEDULED WORK FOR MY TRUCK FOR MAY 5, 2012. THE HARNESS CONTAINS WIRES FOR THE DRIVER SEAT BELT PRETENSIONER AND FOR THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT BELT WHICH IS PART OF THE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM. WIRES FOR THE REAR AUDIO SPEAKERS ARE ALSO CONTAINED N THE HARNESS. CONSEQUENCE: IF THE WIRES FOR THE SEAT BELTS AND SPEAKER WIRES BREAK AND MAKE CONTACT, THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT THE PRETENSIONER MAY DEPLOY. IF THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE SEAT BELT IS RETRACTED, IT WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE TO USE THE SEAT BELT. THE TECHNICIAN THEN ADVISED THAT ANOTHER DIAGNOSTIC TEST WOULD HAVE TO BE PERFORMED IN ORDER TO DETERMINE THE FAILURE BECAUSE THE PART HAD ARRIVED AND WAS SENT BACK. MY 2004 NISSAN TITAN CAUGHT FIRE AND BURNED TO THE GROUND ON 7/29/10 AT 4:30PM. IT ALL STARTED AS I WAS BACKING UP AND I NOTICED AN ELECTRICAL BURNING SMELL. ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO MY WIFE WAS DRIVING ON A SIDE ROAD DOING 25-35 MPH AND HER 2004 NISSAN TITAN CC SUDDENLY LOST POWER AND THEN ENGINE SHUT OFF. SHE CAME TO A STOP AND THE TRUCK RESTARTED IMMEDIATELY. ON FEB 26TH, 2010 MY WIFE WAS AT A FRIENDS HOUSE AND THE TRUCK WOULD NOT START. SHE HAD GIVEN ME THE WRONG DESCRIPTION OF WHAT HAPPENED TO THE TRUCK I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST A DEAD BATTERY. SO I JUMP STARTED THE TRUCK AND IT FIRED RIGHT UP SO I REPLACED THE BATTERY. ON FEB 27TH, 2010 MY WIFE AND I WERE SITTING AT A STOPLIGHT AND THE TRUCK'S ENGINE JUST SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING. THE ENGINE WOULD NOT RESTART AND THIS CAUSED A MAJOR TRAFFIC JAM AND WE WERE ALMOST HIT MY MULTIPLE VEHICLES. LUCKILY A COUPLE BYSTANDERS HELPED DIRECT TRAFFIC AND HELPED PUSH THE TRUCK OFF THE ROAD. THE TRUCK WOULD NOT START AND NOTHING ELSE WAS VISIBLY WRONG SUCH AS BATTERY OR ANY OTHER COMMON ITEMS. AFTER APPROXIMATELY 10 MINUTES THE TRUCK STARTED RIGHT UP WITH NO PROBLEMS. AFTER MUCH RESEARCH ONLINE THROUGH MULTIPLE NISSAN TITAN FORUMS IT CAME TOP MY ATTENTION THAT THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM THAT HAS BEEN KNOWN ABOUT BY OWNERS FOR SOME TIME. THE INTELLIGENT POWER DISTRIBUTION MODULE (IPDM) IN THE TRUCK WERE FAULTING CAUSING THE ECM RELAY ON THE TRUCK TO STOP WORKING. THE SHORT TERM FIX FOR THIS WAS TO REPLACE THE RELAY. THE LONG TERM FIX FOR THIS IS TO REPLACE THE IPDM. SO I REPLACED THE IPDM AND HAVE NOT SEEN A PROBLEM SINCE. WHEN I WENT TO THE PARTS COUNTER AT KORUM NISSAN IN PUYALLUP TO PICK UP MY $178 PART I ASKED HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE ORDERED THIS PART. I WAS TOLD BY THERE PARTS REP MIKE THAT HE HAS SOLD A LOT OF THESE UNITS FOR VARIOUS REASONS. HE SAID IT WAS A COMMON KNOWN ISSUE BY THE PARTS REPS AND THE SERVICE REPS. WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND IS HOW SUCH A THING COULD BE KNOWN SO WELL BUT NO SAFETY RECALL HAS HAPPENED. MY PROBLEMS WERE RELATIVELY MINOR COMPARED TO OTHERS WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED SUCH PROBLEMS AT HIGH SPEEDS WHERE DEATH OR INJURY COULD OCCUR. *TR

BRAKES GO INTO IN ABS MODE FOR NO REASON, TRUCK BECOMES HARD TO STOP; ROAD CONDITIONS WERE DRY- 80 DEGREES AND SUNNY. I WAS COMING HOME FROM THE NISSAN DEALER BECAUSE OF A BRAKE, SLIP, VDC LIGHT (ANYTIME) AND BRAKE LIGHT - ABS COMING ON (ONLY DURING BRAKING), BOTH ARE INTERMITTENT. THE FRIDAY BEFORE I HAD NISSAN LOOK AT THIS VERY CONDITION(S) THEY AGREED I HAD A PROBLEM, AND UPGRADED THE SOFTWARE. 2 DAYS LATER THE LIGHT STILL CAME ON AND STAYED ON. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE WAS AFTER SHUTTING DOWN THE TRUCK AND RESTARTING, THE LIGHTS WOULD STAY ON, SOMETHING THAT DID NOT USE TO HAPPEN. . . NISSAN HAS A BRAKE ISSUE, I'VE SEEN MANY OF COMPLAINTS THAT ARE THE SAME AS MINE- LOSS OF BRAKING BECAUSE THE ABS KICKS ON (BRAKE LIGHT COMES ON WHEN THIS HAPPENS) AND WILL NOT CORRECT/STOP IT-SELF UNTIL THE ENGINE IS SHUT DOWN AND RESTARTED. RESTARTING THE TRUCK WHEN THE ABS IS HAMPERING THE STOPPING ABILITY IS NOT VERY PRACTICAL, AND VERY DANGEROUS IN MOST DRIVING CONDITIONS. WHEN THIS HAPPENED TO ME I CAME VERY CLOSE TO HITTING THE CAR IN FRONT AND SWERVED TO THE EDGE OF THE ROAD. SINCE THE 2ND VISIT TO NISSAN I HAD THE MASTER CYLINDER WITH STABILITY CONTROL OPTION REPLACED, THAT WAS THE DEALERSHIP RECOMMENDATION AFTER THEY DOWNLOADED THE CODES(X2), THEY STATED THE PART HAD TO BE ORDERED. COST FOR REPAIR WAS QUOTED AT $650.00. *TR

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 NISSAN TITAN. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH ON NORMAL ROAD CONDITIONS, THE EXHAUST TAIL PIPE WAS DAMAGED DUE TO AN UNKNOWN OBSTACLE ON THE ROAD SURFACE. THE VEHICLE RESUMED NORMAL OPERATION. IN ADDITION, WHENEVER THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR WAS OPENED, THE PARKING LIGHT ACTIVATED WITHOUT ASSISTANCE AND THE DRIVER'S SIDE TURN SIGNAL WAS NONFUNCTIONAL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR INSPECTION AND THEY STATED THAT THE TAIL PIPE DISENGAGEMENT CONTRIBUTED TO THE MELTING OF THE WIRING HARNESS. THE VEHICLE IS OPERABLE AND HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 65,000.

DT: WHILE THE CONTACT'S HUSBAND WAS DRIVING 70 MPH THE VEHICLE LOST POWER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP, AND THEY FOUND THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH A COMPUTER CHIP. THE DEALERSHIP REPROGRAMMED THE COMPUTER WITHOUT THE KEYS. WITHIN 30 DAYS, THE VEHICLE TURNED ITSELF OFF WHILE GOING 70 MPH. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS WHEN THIS HAPPENED. ONCE THE VEHICLE CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP WAS ABLE TO TURN IT BACK ON. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY ARE GOING TO REPROGRAM THE COMPUTER WITH THE KEYS. *AK

I HAVE TAKEN MY TRUCK IN TWICE NOW FOR THE BRAKES AND THE CARPET BEING SOAKING WET FROM THE TRUCK LEAKING SOMEWHEREAND THE PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT NOT TURNING OFF. THEY RESURFACED MY BRAKES AND SAID THE LEAK WAS FROM THE A/C. THEY ALSO TOLD US ABOUT THE BRAKE PROBLEM WITH THE 2004 TITANS AND THAT THEY WOULD PUT US ON A WAITING LIST FOR THE REPLACEMENT PARTS. WE ARE NOW TAKING IT IN AGAIN FOR THE SAME PROBLEMS. THE FLOOR IS SOAKING WET AND WE HAVE NOT RAN THE A/C. THE BRAKES ARE SHAKING VIOLENTLY AGAIN, AND NOT TO MENTION THE NEW PROBLEM OF THE CARGO LIGHT TURNING ON BY ITSELF WHEN IT IS PARKED. I ONLY HAVE ABOUT 8300 MILES ON MY TRUCK AND I ONLY DRIVE 5 MILES ONE WAY TO WORK. THESE ARE MAJOR PROBLEMS THAT ARE OCCURING IN SUCH SHORT TIME OF HAVING THE TRUCK.

TRUCK VIBRATES VERY ROUGHLY AND BRAKES PUSH DOWN LOW TO THE FLOOR WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED. BRAKES WERE FIRST SERVICED AT 4,503 MILES ON SEPTEMBER 24, 2004. AGAIN TRUCK STARTED TO VIBRATE WHEN BRAKES WERE APPLIED, AND HAD TO BE PUSHED HARD AND LOW TO FLOOR. BRAKES WERE AGAIN SERVICED AT 8,795 MILES ON JANUARY 18, 2005. TRUCK CURRENTLY HAS 12,565 MILES AND TRUCK AGAIN VIBRATES WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED, AND BRAKES NEED TO BE PRESSED HARD AND GO LOW TO THE FLOOR. NISSAN HAS BEEN NOTIFIED AND WAITING FOR CONTACT FOR SERVICE OF TRUCK. IN ADDITION, THE FOLLOWING ITEMS HAVE BEEN NOTED WITH NISSAN: THERE IS A CLUNKING NOISE WHEN SHIFTING GEARS (POSSIBLE DRIVE SHAFT PROBLEM), TRUCK RUNS VERY ROUGH AND LOUD (POSSIBLE BELT TENSION PROBLEM), THE RADIO HAS BAD RECEPTION AND THE DASHBOARD RATTLES. THE RF STEREO FADES FROM STEREO TO MONO, AND HAS VERY LOW SOUND OUTPUT. THE AUX INPUT ALSO HAS A VERY LOW NOTICEABLE SOUND LEVEL OUTPUT IN COMPARISON TO CD PLAYER. CONTACTED NISSAN AND STATED THEY HAD NO IDEA OF THE PROBLEM---SHADY IF YOU ASK ME. THE SOUND PACKAGE COST $1800 DOLLARS, BUT THE SIMPLE RADIO SOUNDS LIKE A FIVE DOLLAR STEREO. ALSO THE SYTSEM IS SUPPOSED TO BE MADE BY ROCKFORD FOSGATE, BUT THE AMPLIFIER IS LABELED MADE BY CLARION, THE SUBWOOOFER IS LABELED MADE BY CLARION, AND THE HEADUNIT/CHANGER IS LABELED MADE BY PANASONIC. I AM A LITTLE CONCERNED AS THIS IS THE REASON I BOUGHT THE PACKAGE AS IT WAS SUPPOSED TO MADE BY A QUALITY MANUFACTURER LIKE FOSGATE
