THE CONTACT STATED PARKED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROADWAY. THE CONTACT STATED HE AND 3 OTHER BYSTANDERS PUSHED THE VEHICLE TO A NEARBY INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC INFORMED HIM THAT THE REAR WHEEL WHEEL-BEARINGS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 126,500.

REAR AXLE SEAL LEAKS IN THIS MODEL IT IS A KNOWN PROBLEM YET NISSAN STILL CHOOSES TO DO NOTHING ABOUT IT ,IT IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE IT LEAKS FLUID CONTINUOUSLY ON TO THE BACK BREAKING SYSTEM SO NOT ONLY COULD IT COMPRISE YOUR WHOLE BACK END BUT ALSO YOUR ABILITY TO STOP YOUR VEHICLE SAFELY,THIS HAS BEEN REPORTED THOUSANDS OF TIMES TO YOUR AGENCY IN THE MEANTIME THE CONSUMERS CONTINUE TO REPLACE THESE EVERY 30-40,000 MILES JUST TO MAINTAIN THEIR SAFETY AND OTHERS ON THE ROAD WHEN I FEEL IT IS TIME NISSAN ADDRESS THIS AND TAKE THE NECESSARY STEPS TO ENSURE THE BRAKING SYSTEM IN THESE VEHICLES IS NOT CREATING A POTENTIAL HAZARD TOP THE DRIVER OR OTHERS ON THE ROAD . I TOOK MY VEHICLE IN FOR AN OIL CHANGE YESTERDAY ONLY TO FIND OUT MY SEAL IS LEAKING AGAIN AND NOW MY BACK BRAKES NEED TO BE REPLACED AGAIN BECAUSE THEY ARE NO LONGER SAFE DUE TO THE OIL LEAKING ON THEM AGAIN FROM THIS SEAL I DRIVE MY CHILDREN IN THIS VEHICLE DAILY TO SCHOOL TO GAMES AND IM THANKFUL THAT I HAPPENED TO NEED AN OIL CHANGE OR I WOULD HAVE HAD NO IDEA IT WAS LEAKING AGAIN OR JUST HOW UNSAFE MY DRIVING THIS VEHICLE COULD POTENTIALLY BE FOR MY CHILDREN AND MYSELF OR ANYBODY THAT IS DRIVING NEAR ME WHEN IT REQUIRES BRAKING TO STOP .

HI, I HAVE A 2005 NISSAN TITAN AND THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD HAS CRACKED IN THE SAME SPOT TWICE NOW AND IT IS BEFORE THE CAT SO THAT MEANS ITS NOW A GROSS POLLUTER. THE PROBLEM IS YOU GET IT FIXED AND THEY PUT THE SAME PART BACK ON THAT CRACKS AGAIN BECAUSE THEY HAVEN'T CHANGED THE DESIGN. THERE ARE 3 OTHER TITANS IN MY TOWN AND ALL OF US HAVE THE SAME STORY. ALSO THE SWAY BAR MOUNT ON ALL OF OURS ARE BROKE WITCH RESULTS IN VERY POOR HANDLING. I HOPE IT CAN BE RECALLED BEFORE SOMETHING SERIOUS HAPPENS. THANK YOU.

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT THE DRIVE KNUCKLE THAT WAS WITHIN THE DIFFERENTIAL HAD FAILED. DID SOME INVESTIGATING AND IT SEEMS LIKE A PRETTY COMMON PROBLEM FOR THE 04-07 TITANS AND AM WONDERING WHY I (OR THE THOUSANDS OF OTHERS WHO'VE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM) WERE NOT INFORMED ABOUT THIS FROM THE FINE FOLKS AT NISSAN BEFORE PEOPLE GET KILLED. I WOULD HAVE PAID TO REPLACE THEM MYSELF HAD I JUST BEEN TOLD.....ITS NOT ABOUT THE MONEY...SAFETY IS NUMBER ONE IN MY BOOK ESPECIALLY WHEN I'M HAULING AROUND MY 18 MONTH OLD IN SOMETHING THAT THE FACTORY KNOWS HAS A LIFE THREATENING DEFECT AND DOESN'T TELL ANYONE!!!!!!!! I HAVE A 2005 NISSAN TITAN SE 4X4 OFF ROAD EDITION. WHILE GOING AROUND A CONNER I HEARD A LOUD POPING NOISE. I STOPPED THE TRUCK AND LOOKED UNDER IT. I NOTICED FLUID COMING FROM THE RIGHT REAR OF THE VEHICLE. I TOOK IT TO NISSAN AND THEY INSPECTED IT. THEY TOLD ME IT WAS THE RIGHT REAR WHEEL BEARING. I ASKED THEM TO FIX IT. THEY PUT IN A NEW PART BUT THAT DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. THEY DID NOT CHARGE ME FOR THAT WORK. I THEN TALKED TO THE SHOP FOREMAN OF NISSAN AND HE TOLD ME THAT IT WAS A DOWL PIN COMING LOOSE BETWEEN THE SPIDER GEARS WITHOUT PULLING THE COVER OFF OR ANYTHING. HE SAID THAT THE REAR ENDS FAIL A DIME A DOZEN WITH MODELS 2004-2007. I ASKED HOW MUCH IT WOULD BE TO FIX IT AND I WAS TOLD 3200 DOLLARS. IF NISSAN HAS KNOW ABOUT THIS PROBLEM FOR SOME TIME I THINK THAT NISSAN NEEDS TO STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT AND ACTUALLY ISSUE A RECALL BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT. I HAVE A 2005 NISSAN TITAN WITH ONLY 44000 MILES ON IT. DURING RECENT DRIVING IT SOUNDED AS IF THE RIGHT REAR WAS GRINDING TO PIECES. IT CONTINUALLY GOT WORSE SO I LOOKED UNDER THE TRUCK TO SEE IF THERE WAS SOMETHING THAT WAS CAUGHT AND DRAGGING. IT WAS SO LOUD THAT PEOPLE WOULD STARE AT THE TRUCK WHEN IT PASSED BY. AFTER IT WAS TAKEN TO THE GARAGE THEY DISCOVERED THAT THE INSIDES OF THE RIGHT REAR AXLE WERE ALMOST COMPLETELY TORN APART. IT WAS VERY FORTUNATE THAT IT DID NOT CAUSE A SERIOUS PROBLEM WHILE DRIVING. THEY ALSO FOUND THAT THE LEFT AXLE WAS LEAKING AND WOULD LIKELY ALSO BREAK DOWN. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER REGARDING THE CAMBER KIT AND THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE CAMBER KIT WAS AN AFTERMARKET PART PURCHASED AT THE CONTACT'S EXPENSE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CAMBER KIT SHOULD HAVE COME WITH THE VEHICLE SINCE IT WAS A SAFETY DEVICE. THE CONTACT BELIEVED THE VEHICLE TO BE UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 128,000.

THE APPROXIMATE MILEAGE ON MY TRUCK AT THAT TIME WAS AROUND 66,000 MILES. UPON COMPLETING THE JOB, THE NEXT DAY, MOST OF THE TRANSMISSION FLUID LEAKED OUT OF MY TRUCK. THE DEALERSHIP CAME TO MY HOUSE AND REPAIRED THE LEAK AND TOPPED OFF THE TRANSMISSION FLUID. THEY SAID THAT IT WAS A FAILED HOSE CLAMP.
