Upon purchasing my vehicle the frame bolt had rattled loose and the motor mounts were broke because of how hard the engine rattles.
I carry my family with me and in traffic the traction control light would come on and the car would loose power and not accelerate almost causing accidents I was told it was the speed sensors malfunctioning and the brakes would not work properly when trying to stop

I WENT TO THE NISSAN CAR DEALERSHIP SPOKE WITH THE SALESMAN IN REFERENCE TO MY VEHICLE AND THE PERSON STATED I HAVE WATER IMMERSED IN MY TAIL LIGHT IS WHY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS COMING ON AND IF I DON'T GET THE PROBLEM FIX THE LIGHT WOULD STAY ON. HOWEVER THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DISAPPEARED AFTER A WHILE. THE LIGHT REAPPEARED NOW IN 2020 SHOWING THE SAME FAULTY CODE. I WENT TO DEALERSHIP TO CHECK IT OUT AND THEY SAID THAT THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE IN NISSANS 2012 VERSA AND THAT I WILL NEED TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION. THEY TOLD ME THAT THE WARRANTY HAS ALSO EXPIRED AS THE VEHICLE IS ABOVE 84000 MILES. ( I GOT THIS LIGHT AT 79K MILES WITH THE SAME CODE AND IT HAD DISAPPEARED.) I HAD PHOTOGRAPHED IT WITH DATES AND TIME SHOWING . NISSAN TOLD ME THAT THEY WILL NOT HELP IN ANY WAY AND THAT I WILL NEED TO COVER THE COMPLETE COST. NISSAN IS WELL AWARE THAT IT'S CARS HAVE ISSUES AND THEY HAVE EXTENDED WARRANTIES BECAUSE OF A LAWSUIT ON SOME VEHICLES BEFORE 2012 BUT HAVE NOT EXTENDED IT FOR MORE RECENT VEHICLES WHICH ARE HAVING TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. THERE IS A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT AGAINST NISSAN REGARDING THIS AND I HAVE RECENTLY JOINED THAT LAWSUIT.

I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE ABOVE MENTIONED SHOP AND THEY PERFORMED A DIAGNOSTIC TEST THAT SHOWED ECM NO COMMUNICATION. THEY REPLACED A MAXI FUSE 20A AND REPROGRAMED KEY. ON 23 MARCH 2017, I PICK UP THE CAR FROM THE SHOP, DROVE ABOUT 5 MILES AND CAR SHUTS-DOWN AGAIN. AS OF 9 APRIL 2017, THE CAR IS STILL IN THE SHOP. THEY CAN NOT FIGURE OUT WHAT IS CAUSING THIS ISSUE.

THE SERVICE TECH LOOKED AT THE CAR AND KEPT SAYING THAT THE TANK WAS FULL AND THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT EVEN THOUGH I EXPLAINED THAT I ADDED SOME TO GET IT THERE. THEY FINALLY TOOK MY CAR BACK AND HAD IT FOR 2 DAYS. WHEN I CAME DOWN TO PICK IT UP THAT SAID THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. THEY SAID THEY PRESSURE TESTED THE COOLING SYSTEM AND FOUND NO LEEKS AND TOLD ME I WAS IMAGING THING AS FAR AS THE STUTTER WITH MY TRANNY. AT APPROXIMATELY 32K AGAIN I WAS LOW (1/4 FULL) ON COOLANT AND THE STUTTER STILLED HAPPENED INTERMITTINGLY. AGAIN I TOOK IT DOWN TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY HAD IT FOR ABOUT 2 DAYS AND WHEN I GOT IT BACK THEY TOLD ME THE SAME THING. AT APPROX. 38K THE STUTTERING HAD GOTTEN WORSE AND THERE WOULD BE TIMES THAT ID PRESS THE ACCELERATOR AND NOTHING WOULD HAPPEN FOR ABOUT 5-10 SECONDS. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE TRANNY ONLY THIS TIME. AND THEY TOLD ME WITH OUT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMING ON THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO FOR MY CAR EVEN THOUGH IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY. I HAVE ALMOST BEEN IN A COUPE ACCIDENTS BECAUSE THE TRANNY WOULD NOT RESPOND WHILE PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR.

I PULLED UP TO A PUMP AT A GAS STATION, GOT OUT AND WENT IN THE STORE TO GET A DRINK. CAME BACK OUT AND MY CAR HAD LOCKED UP. THE STEERING AND BRAKES WERE BOTH LOCKED. THANK GOD I WASN'T IN MOTION WHEN THIS HAPPENED. THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. I CUT THE CAR OFF AND LET IT SIT THERE BEFORE TRYING TO START IT AGAIN. IT CRANKS BUT NEVER TURNS OVER. THERE IS A BATTERY LIGHT, BRAKE LIGHT, PS LIGHT AND OIL LIGHT ON THE DASH. I RESEARCHED IT AND EVERYTHING INDICATED A BAD ALTERNATOR. I BOUGHT A NISSAN ALTERNATOR AND PUT IT ON. STILL NEVER TURNED OVER. THE FUEL PUMP RUNS AND I PUT SOME STARTING FLUID INTO THE THROTTLE BODY AND IT STARTED BUT DIED AFTER A FIVE SECONDS. EVERY NISSAN DEALERSHIP TELLS ME THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. ITS MY ONLY CAR, I'M FLAT BROKE AND I AM WALKING 2 HOURS TO WORK EVERY DAY SO I DON'T LOSE MY JOB. I NEED TO KNOW WHAT'S WRONG.

I CONTACTED THEM ON THE 15TH OF NOVEMBER TO BE TOLD THAT THE ENGINE HAD TO BE REPLACED, BUT THEY HAVE NOT INSTALLED IT THOUGH THEY HAVE BEEN AUTHORIZED BY NISSAN, BECAUSE THEY ARE HAVING ENGINEERS COMING TO ASSES THE ENGINE TO FIND OUT WHY IT STOPPED WORKING, THIS APPEARS TO BE A DELIBERATE ATTEMPT TO KEEP FROM REPAIRING AND ACCEPTING OWNERSHIP THAT THE ENGINE WAS DEFECTIVE AND KEEPING ME OUT OF THE LOOP. I HAVE CONTACTED NISSAN CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS' AND FILED A COMPLAINT REQUESTING TO HAVE A NEW CAR AS THE DEVALUATION OF THE CAR AND NOT KNOWING WHAT HAS OCCURRED OVER THE LAST MONTH AND A HALF BETWEEN THE DEALERSHIP AND NISSAN.
