TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1994 OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS SUPREME. WHILE TURNING THE IGNITION TO START THE VEHICLE, THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG SPONTANEOUSLY DEPLOYED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES TO HER NOSE FROM THE DEPLOYMENT. SHE HAS PICTURES OF THE VEHICLE AFTER THE FAILURE, AND IS IN THE PROCESS OF NOTIFYING THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER. ENTERED MY CAR AFTER BEING INSIDE STORE PUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION TO START CAR WHEN THE AIR BAG IN STEERING WHEEL WENT OFF. THE CAR HAD NOT BEEN STRUCK FROM THE FRONT OR REAR AT THE TIME OF MY ENTRY, I BECAME DIZZY FROM THE POWDER. THE HORN BECAME ACTIVATED AND WOULD NOT STOP. HAD TO REMOVE A FUSE TO GET THE HORN TO STOP. *NM
WHILE BACKING OUT OF A DRIVEWAY CONSUMER CHANGED GEAR TO DRIVE , AND VEHICLE TOOK OFF LIKE AN AIRPLANE. VEHICLE WAS OUT OF CONTROL. IT JUMPED THE CURVE AND HIT A TREE. UPON IMPACT, NONE OF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION.*AK
WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 44MPH ON A MAIN STREET AND WHEN APPROACHING AN INTERSECTION ANOTHER VEHICLE JUMPED IN FRONT OF CONSUMER'S VEHICLE. APPLIED BRAKES AND RAMMED INTO OTHER VEHICLE. DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG DIDN'T DEPLOY. VEHICLE WAS TOTALED, AND DEALERSHIP WAS AWARE OF PROBLEM.*AK THREE PEOPLE WERE INJURED IN ACCIDENT. *SLC

WAS DRIVING ON EXPRESSWAY AND VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED WITHOUT WARNING. PULLED HARD TO LEFT IN FRONT OF SEMI-TRAILER WHICH BROADSIDED VEHICLE. CRUISE CONTROL WAS NOT IN USE. BRAKES FAILED TO STOP VEHICLE, AND AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. NO INJURIES. *AK *ML
VEHICLE WAS STRUCK IN THE FRONT LEFT SIDE AT AN 25 MPH IMPACT AND DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. MANUFACTURER HAS NOT BEEN CONTACTED. *AK
WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, VEHICLE VEERED TO THE RIGHT AND KEPT GOING TO THE RIGHT. CONSUMER PRESSED THE BRAKES TO SLOW DOWN, BUT IT CAUSED VEHICLE TO ACCELERATE AND HIT A TREE ON A FRONTAL IMPACT DURING WHICH THE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY, FAILING TO PROTECT THE OCCUPANT IN THIS CRASH.
