TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1995 OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS SUPREME. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE SITTING AT A TRAFFIC STOP, ANOTHER VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE CONTACT. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AND THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE CONTACT SUFFERED INJURIES TO THE HEAD AND WAS CURRENTLY HOSPITALIZED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER REGARDING THE NON-DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIR BAGS AND THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO TO ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 168,000. ON FRIDAY 10/6/2000 WHILE MY SISTER DRIVING THE CAR, THE AIRBAG LIGHT IN THE DASHBOARD COMES ON WITH NO REASON. MY SISTER THEN DESIDED TO TAKE IT TO THE OLDSMOBILE DEALERSHIP THE NEXT MORNING. THE NEXT DAY, WHILE STARTING THE CAR, THE AIRBAG DEPLOYED IN HER FACE. I TOOK THE CAR TO ARNOLD PALMER OLDSMOBILE IN CHARLOTTE. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT TOLD ME THEY WILL CHECK ON ANY RECALLS BY THE MANUFACTURE. AFTER TEN DAYS, THEY TOLD ME THERE IS NO RECALL AND THE PROBLEM WAS FROM THE HORN MODULA. I THINK THY DID NOT WANT TO BLAME IT ON THE MANUFACTURE. I WOULD LIKE AN ANSWER RATHER THAN A COVER UP.
