AS SOON AS THE LIGHTS WENT OFF, ALL OF THE POWER DOOR LOCKS, INCLUDING THE REAR GATE, SPONTANEOUSLY UNLOCKED. I RE-LOCKED THE DOORS BY USING THE LOCKING SWITCH ON THE DRIVERS DOOR. HOWEVER, THE SEQUENCE OF THE INTERIOR LIGHTS COMING ON, GOING OFF, AND THEN ALL DOORS AND THE REAR GATE UNLOCKING HAPPENED TWO MORE TIMES, FOR A TOTAL OF THREE TIMES. IT DID NOT HAPPEN AGAIN AFTER THE THIRD TIME. I CALLED SMITH HAVEN CHRYSLER PLYMOUTH AS SOON AS I GOT TO WORK AND MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 1ST. THE PROBLEM DID NOT OCCUR AGAIN EITHER BEFORE OR AFTER I TOOK THE CAR IN FOR SERVICE. THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM WHEN THEY EXAMINED THE CAR. BUT SINCE THE DOORS UNLOCKED BY THEMSELVES I WANTED TO MAKE SURE THAT IT WAS REPORTED. I OFTEN HAVE MY GRANDCHILDREN IN THE VAN AND EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE ALWAYS BUCKLED IN, I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO WONDER WHETHER OR NOT THE DOORS ARE GOING TO SOMEDAY UNLOCK THEMSELVES. SO FAR IT APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN AN ISOLATED INCIDENT.

THIS MORNING ON THE WAY TO WORK MY 1999 PLYMOUTH GRAND VOYAGER'S ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CUT OFF AND CUT RIGHT BACK ON AGAIN FOR NO APPARENT REASON. THE CD PLAYER CUT OFF, THE DOOR LOCKS ACTIVATED, THE LIGHTS WENT OUT BUT THE ABS LIGHT CAME ON AFTERWARDS. I WAS NOT GOING EXTREMELY FAST ABOUT 45MILES PER HOUR, ON A STRAIGHT ROAD WITH NO BUMPS OR VIBRATIONS TO SHAKE SOMETHING LOOSE. I'M CONCERNED BECAUSE IF THIS HAD HAPPENED WHILE I WAS PASSING SOMEONE IT COULD HAVE POSSIBLY CAUSED AN ACCIDENT.
