AIR BAG LIGHT STAYS ON AND HAS SINCE FIRST PURCHASED, HORN HAS NOT WORKED FOR ABOUT 8 MONTHS, CRUISE CONTROL QUIT WORKING 3 MONTHS AGO. READING OTHER COMPLAINTS IT APPEARS THERE WAS A RECALL STATING THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE COLUMN CLOCK SPRING. IF I COULD RECEIVE A RECALL FOR THE MANUFACTURER TO JUST PROVIDE A REPLACEMENT COLUMN CLOCK SPRING MY NEPHEW WOULD PLACE IT ON THE VAN.

ON 2 SEPARATE OCASSIONS THE SPEED SENSORS TO THE TRANSMISSION STOPPED WORKING AND IT PUT MY 1999 PLYMOUTH VOYAGER IN LIMP MODE AND WOULDN'T ALLOW MY VEHICLE TO GO ABOVE 35MPH. I HAS THE SENSORS REPLACED AT A COST OF APPROX. $250 EACH TIME. THE DEALERSHIP ADMITTED FREQUENT PROBLEMS WITH THE SENSORS BUT SAID CHRYSLER HAS NOT TAKEN ANY ACTION TO CONSIDER IT A RECALL ITEM.*AK

HORN STARTED BEEPING BY ITSELF, THEN STAYED ON CONTINUOUSLY. DEALER SAID IT WAS A DEFECTIVE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY. I CALLED CHRYSLER TO COMPLAIN AND THEY AGREED TO PAY ALL BUT $150 OF THE $607 BILL. I DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS PART OF THE CLOCKSPRING ASSEMBLY PROBLEMS OR NOT. WE HAVE NOT NOTICED ANY PROBLEM WITH THE AIRBAG LIGHT OR CRUISE CONTROL. *AK

I CALLED THE RECALL LINE WITH CHRYSLER AND THEY SAID MY VAN WAS NOT COVERED ON THE RECALL. ONLY 1996-1998. I NOTICED WHEN THE INVESTIGATION WAS TAKING PLACE ALL VEHICLES FROM 1996-2000 WERE BEING LOOKED AT. 1999 PLYMOUTH GRAND VOYAGER SE - AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AT 72000 MILES. I FOUND THAT DAIMLER-CHRYSLER HAD A SAFETY RECALL ON 1996-1998 PLYMOUTH VANS BECAUSE THE CLOCKSPRING WAS NOT INSTALLED PROPERLY IN THE STEERING COLUMN. CAUSING THE AIRBAG TO BECOME INOPERABLE, THE HORN AND CRUISE CONTROL TO ALSO STOP WORKING. I FOUND ON A PLYMOUTH FORUM THAT MANY OTHER 1999 VAN OWNERS HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS. WHEN I CALLED CHRYSLER, THEY SAID THE RECALL DID NOT COVER THE 1999 VAN AND THAT THEY WOULD NOT EXTEND THE SAFETY RECALL. *LA

HAVE SPENT FOUR MONTHS GOING THROUGH REPAIRS ETC FOR PROBLEM THEY ADMIT EXISTS, AND THEY CAN'T FIX. WE WERE OFFERED A NEW VAN 8/12/99, CORPORATE TOLD THEM TO REPLACE VAN SAME DAY, AND THEY WON'T! WE WENT TTHROUGH CO'S A G AND THE MTR VEHLCE LIC BOARD, WHO TOLD US TO START CIVIL ACTION, AS DID THEIR OWN ARBITRATION CASE ADMINSTR.
