I HAVE A 1992 PLYMOUTH VOYAGER. DUE TO A DEFECT IN THE ENGINE, I HAD TO HAVE IT RPLACED IN APRIL OF 2002. THEN THIS APRIL, I HAD TO HAVE THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED. SIMPLY PUT I HAD TO HAVE THE ENGINE REPLACED DUE TO EXCESSIVE SMOKING THROUGH THE TAIL PIPE. I AM SURE YOU HAVE HAD OTHER REPORTS OF THIS. IT COSTS ME $4,251.25 TO REPLACE AND THE TRANSMISSION WAS ANOTHER $2500. I DO BELIEVE THAT CHRYSLER SHOULD REIMBURSE ME FOR THIS. I HAVE COPIES OF HISTORICAL MAINTENANCE REPORTS FOR MY VAN AND COPIES OF THE BILLS FOR THE ENGINE AND TRASMISSION. WHEN I HAD THE ENGINE REPLACED MY REGULAR PLACE OF REPAIR, GOODYEAR, SAID IT NEED AN EXPENSIVE VALVE JOB AND THIS MAY OR MAY NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. THANKS YOU FOR READING THIS.

IF TENSIONER HAD FALLEN OFF WHILE TRAVELIMG, IT VERY WEEL WOULD HAVE BOUNCED STRAIGHT THROUGH THE FUEL TANK. I CHECKED YOUR LISTINGS AN FOUND 34 FAILURES. FEEL SURE THAT THE FAMILY THAT BURNED UP ON THE STEVENSON EXPRESSWAY IN CHICAGO HAD THIS PROBLEM, BUT THE BLAME WAS PUSHED OFF ON A TRUCKER LOOSING METAL OFF OF HIS TRUCK. THE GARAGE HERE IN TOWN STATED THAY HAVE REPLACED NUMEROUS TENSIONERS, SO THIS IS A PRETTY ON GOING THING. FIRE IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT OF THIS VEHICLE, DESTROYED VEHICLE. THE CAR LOST POWER ON THE FREEWAY OFF-RAMP. VEHICLE PULLED OVER AND ANOTHER DRIVER PULLED OVER TO SAY THE CAR WAS ON FIRE UP UNDERNEATH. I SAW THIS SAME STYLE MINI-VAN ON THE TELEVISION PROGRAM COPS ON 1/9/99 ON FIRE AND BURNING AFTER HAVING TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. WE HAVE HAD TO PUT IN TWO TRANSMISSIONS IN THIS VEHICLE. THE FIREMAN DIDN'T THINK THE TRANSMISSION PROBLEM WAS RELATED TO THE PROBLEM HOWEVERTHE LADY ON THE TV SHOW STATED SHE HAD BEEN HAVING TRANSMISSION TROUBLE.

THERE WAS A GRINDING NOISE IN THE ENGINE, TRANSMISSION, AND WHEN BRAKING. THE REPAIRS AND OR REPLACEMENT PARTS ARE AS FOLLOWED: REPLACED THE GASKET, REPAIRED THE GROUND WIRING OF THE ABS, REPLACED THE SERPENTINE BELT AND MOTOR MOUNT .
