TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1992 PLYMOUTH VOYAGER. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH THERE WAS A LOSS OF POWER STEERING WITHOUT ANY WARNING. THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER. THE FAILURE OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED NOR WAS THE FAILURE DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 160,000.

STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP WHILE MAKING A RIGHT TURN AT 15 MPH. VEHICLE TOWED TO DEALER, AND INFORMED CONSUMER THAT CLOCK SPRING BROKE AND CAUSED WHEEL TO LOCK UP, AND AIR BAG LIGHT TO COME ON. *AK *SLC
WHILE PULLING INTO A PARKING LOT THE STEERING WHEEL FELL INTO THE DRIVER'S LAP. THE BRACKET THAT HOLDS THE STEERING WHEEL WAS CRACKED ALL AROUND. THE STEERING WHEEL WAS LOOSE A COUPLE OF DAYS BEFORE THIS HAPPENED. WHOLE STEERING COLUMN HAD TO BE REPLACED. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION.

POWER STEERING PROBLEMS, REPAIRWORK DONE IN MARCH, 95. ENGINE PROBLEMS OCCURRED, REPAIRWORK DONE TO ROCKER SHAFT/PUSH RODS AND OIL FILTER IN MARCH 95. FINALLY, IN MAY 95 STARTER BURNED OUT AND REPLACED/IN JULY, 95/EMERGENCY LIGHT BECAME DEFECTIVE AND RESET/RECALL JUN. 96, LIFTGATE LATCH REPLACED/DECEMBER 97, SEAT BELT REPAIRED/ APR, 97 RESET MAINTENANCE LIGHT AND SPEEDOMETER/ MAY, 97 BELT DRIVE PROBLEMS AND TENSIONER PROBLEMS ALSO EXIT. DEALER AWARE OF THE PROBLEMS AND PROBLEMS GO ON. REPAIRWORK AT OWNER'S EXPENSE WITH EXTENDED COVERAGE ON SOME. PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
