1993 PLYMOUTH VOYAGER. MANUFACTURE DEFECT WITH THE PAINT. ALL THE VANS MADE IN THAT YEAR AND 1994 ARE PEELING AND RUSTING IN THE SAME PLACES. I FEEL THE COMPANY NEGLECTED TO RECALL THESE VANS TO BE REPAINTED TO SAVE THEM MONEY. MY VAN IS IN GOOD CONDITION AND I WOULD LIKE FOR IT TO BE PROPERTY REPAINTED UP TO STANDARD. *NM

NHTSA RECALL 00V305000 CONCERNING STEERING WHEEL SEPARATION. CONSUMER REQUESTED A REBATE IN THE AMOUNT OF $242.98 FOR THE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY REPAIRS DUE TO A RECALL. CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THE VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED UNDER RECALL DUE TO THE VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER. *AK. THERE WERE OTHER PROBLEMS WITH THE VEHICLE SUCH AS A MALFUNCTIONED AIR CONDITION, DRIVER'S SEAT, TRANSMISSION, AND A PAINT DEFECT.*JB *TS
THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR IS COMING LOOSE FROM THE HINGES. THE WIND WOULD BLOW AGAINST IT WHILE DRIVING AND CAUSED IT TO SHAKE. THE INSURANCE AGENT INDICATED, AFTER INSPECTING IT, THAT IT WAS A MANUFACTURER DEFECTS. HAD TAKEN TO DEALER AND MECHANIC HAD WELDED THE HINGES BUT THAT FAILED TO KEEP THE DOOR SHUT. MR
THE DRIVER SIDE AND PASSENGER SIDE DOOR HAD COME OFF AND WAS HANGING BY THE HINGES. THE DEALER IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. TS SCC

REAR HATCH DOOR SHOCKS BROKE, CAUSING BACK WINDSHIELD TO EXPLODE IN MY PARTNERS FACE. ABS BRAKING SYSTEM ALSO UNDER RECALL AND DEALER SAID THE RECALL HAS BEEN REPAIRED BUT STILL DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY.
REAR LIFTGATE HAD MALFUNTIONED ON A FEW OCCASIONS. IT DID NOT HOLD UP DUE TO HYUDRAULIC CYLINDER TRUNK BREAKING. HAD TO BE REPLACED TWICE BEFORE FOR SAME PROBLEM. PLEASE PROVIDE MORE INFORMATION.*AK
LIFTGATE SUPPORT BOLT BROKE, ALLOWING THE REAR GATE TO FALL ON DRIVERS HEAD, WEAK SUPPORT BOLTS, REPLACE THREE TIMES, THE RECALL PART ARE WORSE THAN THE ORIGINAL PART.

AUTHORIZED ANOTHER MECHANIC TO PERFORM WORK TO REPAIR RECALL, OR PROVIDE CONSUMER WITH NECESSARY PARTS TO REPAIR THE DEFECTS. CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THAT DEALERSHIP WAS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO PERFORM THESE FUNCTIONS. *AK THE CONSUMER HAD ASKED THE MANUFACTURER FOR ASSISTANCE IN REPAIRING THE STEERING WHEEL, THE WINDSHIELD WIPER PIVOT AND LIFT GATE SUPPRT BOLTS, BECAUSE THE PARTS WERE DEFECTIVE, BUT THE MANUFACTURER REFUSED TO HELP. *YH
DEALER REPLACED FLEX PLATE ASSEMBLY, CONSUMER STATED THERE WAS A RATTLE IN THE FRONT END AND DEALER FOUND THE ASSEMBLY CRACKED. *SLC
SLIDING DOOR ON MY MINIVAN FELL OFF ONTO MY SON AND MY NEPHEW WHILE THEY WERE OPENING THE DOOR TO GET INTO THE VAN. *AK
DRIVER'S PASSENGER'S SIDE DOORS HAVE FALLEN OFF HINGE WHICH HAS PREVENTED DOORS FROM OPENING AND FULLY CLOSING. CONSUMER HAS REPLACED PARTS ON DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR, PASSENGER'S SIDE DOOR IS STILL BROKEN. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS.*AK
WHILE DRIVING AT ABOUT 15MPH BACK DOOR FLEW UP. CONSUMER PULLED OVER TO SHUT DOOR, BUT IT WOULD NOT SHUT. THEN IT FINALLY CLOSED. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER, AND THEY SAID THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE DOOR (RECALL # 95I001001 AND 95I001005). WENT TO HAVE RECALL REPAIRS DONE. WHEN PICKING UP VEHICLE CONSUMER NOTICED DOOR WAS OUT OF LINE, BUT THERE WAS NO REPAIR PERSON AROUND. CONSUMER BROUGHT VEHICLE BACK THE NEXT DAY, AND THEY SAID THAT THE HINGES WERE OUT OF LINE, AND WANTED CONSUMER TO PAY FOR REPAIRS. CONSUMER FELT THAT IF DOOR WOULD NOT HAVE OPENED ON ITS OWN, HINGES WOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN OUT OF LINE. *AK
REAR WINDSHIELD WIPERS ARE NOT OPERABLE. ALSO, SLIDING DOORS ARE OFF THE TRACK WHEN CLOSING. *AK
THE LIFTGATE SUPPORT BOLT FAILED PRIOR TO RECALL NOTICE (99V-213) CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE SHOCK. *MJS
THE HYDRAULIC SUPPORT ON THE PASSENGER 'S SIDE OF THE HATCHBACK DOOR BROKE AWAY FROM THE FRAME AND LODGED UP INTO THE ROOF OF VAN. THE DEALER WILL CONTACT CONSUMER ABOUT THE PROBLEM. *AK
HATCHBACK GAS STRUTS WHICH SUPPORT THE HATCH BROKE, FELL INTO THE GLASS, SHATTERING THE GLASS, CAUSING THE HATCHBACK TO FALL DOWN ONTO THE CONSUMER. CONSUMER HAS CONTACTED THE DEALER. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
HYDRAULIC LIFT FOR REAR GATE HATCH FAILED, THE SCREW SHEARED OFF AND THE LIFTGATE CAME CRASHING DOWN. YH
ON 1/9/99 THE PASSENGER DOOR OF MY 1993 VOYAGER FLEW OPEN AS I WAS TURNING A CORNER. MY SON WAS IN HIS SEATBELT AND WAS THEREFORE NOT INJURED. THE REASON THE DOOR OPENED WAS A LATCH FAILURE. THE DOOR LATCH HAD TORN AWAY FORM THE SHEET METAL ON THE DOOR. THE DOOR LATCHES ON BOTH DOORS HAVE REPEATED FAILED TO ENGAGE PROPERLY. USUALLY THIS WAS REMEDIED BY CLOSINF THE DOOR AGAIN. I HAVE BROUGHT THIS TO THE ATTENTION OF THE DEALERS DURING THE WARRANY PERIOD. I WAS TOLD THAT THE PROBLEM WAS "LOOSE SCREWS" IN THE DOOR LATCH ASSEMBLY. THE SCREWS WERE TIGHTENED AND SOMETIMES REPLACED BUT THE PROBLEM PERSISTED. NOW I'M TOLD THAT THE PROBLEM IS REALLY DUE TO IMPROPER DOOR ALIGNMENT. THIS CAUSED THE LATCHES TO LOOSEN. HOWEVER AFTER REPEATED OPERATIONS IN THIS CONDITION IT ALSO CAUSED THE METAL AROUND THE DOOR LATCH TO FAIL. THE METAL IS RIPPING AROUND THE DRIVERS DOOR LATCH AS WELL. THE CAST TO REPAIR IS $250 PER DOOR. CHRYSLER WILL NOT ASSIST WITH REPAIRS SINCE THE CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY. (EVEN THOUGH THE PROBLEM WAS BROUGHT TO THEIR ATTENTION DURING WARRANTY AND MISDIAGNOSED. THIS MAY BE A SERIOUS SAFETY PROBLEM.

AS REAR DOOR WAS OPENING BOLTS FOR SUPPORT OF LIFTGATE SHEARED OFF, SUPPORT WENT THROUGH REAR WINDOW AND SMASHED IT.
CONSUMER GOT OUT OF VEHICLE AND THE WIND BENT DOOR HINGES, GOT THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR TO CLOSE, STARTED DRIVING AND DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR CAME OPEN . PLEASE DESCRIBE . *AK
CONSUMER STATES THAT THE FRONT LAP AND SHOULDER BELTS ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE ARE INOPERABLE. CONSUMER IS ALSO EXPERIENCING A PROBLEM WITH THE SLIDING DOOR.*AK
