TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1993 PONTIAC BONNEVILLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HIS VEHICLE IS LEAKING TRANSMISSION FLUID. THE MANUFACTURER MADE A REPORT; HOWEVER, THEY INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THEY WERE NOT COMPLETELY SURE IF HIS VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 96V015000 (POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:COOLING UNIT AND LINES). THEY STATED THAT THEY WILL INVESTIGATE AND PROVIDE HIM WITH AN ANSWER. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 56,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000. UPDATED 4/21/08 *CN

WHILE DRIVING TRANSMISSION COOLING LINE SEPARATED, BLOWING TRANSMISSION FLUID ONTO EXHAUST MANIFOLD CAUSING VEHICLE TO CATCH ON FIRE. DEALER CONTACTED. *AK *TT
TRANMISSION OIL COOLING LINES DEVELOPED A HOLE CAUSED BY RUBBING AGAINST METAL COOLING LINES BRACKET, SPRAYING TRANSMISSION OIL UNDER CAR AND ON CATALITIC CONVERTER.*AK
INTERMITTENTLY ENGINE REVVED, RPM'S WENT UP TO 3000 WHEN VEHICLE WAS IN PARK CAR JUMPED FOWARD DURING REVVING, AND TRANSMISSION SEEMED TO LOCK UP. CONSUMER HAD TO SLAM FOOT ON BRAKE IN ORDER TO STOP VEHICLE. *AK
TRANMISSION OIL COOLING LINES, DURING NORMAL OPERATION, DEVELOP A HOLE DUE TO TO VIBRATION/RUBBING ON A GUIDE BRACKET WHICH IS MOUNTED TO THE FRONT OF THE ENGINE BLOCK. TRANSMISSION OIL LEAKS OUT, WETTING DOWN THE UNDERSIDE OF CAR AND INNER AREA OF THE FRONT WHEEL, IN THE AREA OF THE DISC BRAKE. CAR WAS SERVICED AT SEELYE WRIGHT PONTIAC, SOUTH HAVEN, MICHIGAN, TO REPLACE PIPE.
WHILE DRIVING AT 25 MPH SMELLED SMOKE COMING OUT OF THE FRONT VENTS AND FIRE WAS COMING OUT OF THE HOOD. CONSUMER WAS ABLE TO PUT OUT THE FIRE WHICH STARTED FROM TRANSMISSION COOLING UNIT AND LINES. *AK
EXTREAM SHAKING AND LOUD HUMMING NOISE CAUSED FROM THE WHEEL BEARINGS GOING OUT ON THE FRONT-END PASSENGERS SIDE,THE ABS FAILED COMPLETLY THE LIGHT CAME ON AND IS NOW OFF AND THE ABS BREAKING DOES NOT WORK AT ALL
WHEEL BEARINGS FAILED.
WHEN COMING TO A STOP,IF BRAKING LIGHTLY TRANSMISSION WANTS TO KEEP GOING AND NOT STOP. EXTREMELY BAD GRINDING NOISE IS HEARD. WHEN BRAKING HARD THOUGH DOESN'T HAPPEN AT ALL. AFTER COMING TO COMPLETE STOP, IF ACCELERATING LIGHTLY SAME TERRIBLE GRINDING NOISE IS HEARD AND CAR JERKS REPEATEDLY UNTIL I START TO ACCELERATE HARD. ONLY HAPPENS IN THESE 2 INSTANCES. OTHERWISE, WORKS FINE.
WHILE DRIVING THE SPEEDOMETER WOULD READ THE WRONG SPEEDS . THE DEALER HAD REPLACED THE SPEEDOMETER CABLE SENSOR AND PARKING LIGHTS. *AK
FRONT HUB AND BEARINGS FAILED CAUSING NOISE AND POSSIBLE WHEEL LOCK UP.
TRANSAXLE SHIFTING PROBLEM, CAUSING VEHICLE TO RACE WITHOUT TOUCHING THE GAS PEDAL.
TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT SHIFT FROM PARK TO REVERSE.
THE ABS BRAKES DO NOT WORK AFTER PUSHING HARD ON THEM; ALSO, THE TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK. *AK
