I'M ON A BUSY CITY STREET AND I WENT TO PUT MY VEHICLE FROM REVERSE INTO DRIVE AND I NOTICED THAT IT WASN'T GOING INTO GEAR AND WHEN I WOULD ACCELERATE ON THE GAS TO MAKE MY VEHICLE GO IT WOULD JUST REV UP LIKE IT WASN'T A YEAR AND THEN I WOULD YOU KNOW TAKE IT BACK TO REVERSE AND THEN BACK TO DRIVE AND IT WOULD STILL NOT GO INTO GEAR FINALLY AFTER ABOUT TWO OR THREE TRIES OF THIS IT FINALLY GOT TO GO INTO DRIVE AND I MADE IT TO HOME THE NEXT MORNING WHEN I WENT TO LEAVE I TRIED TO CRANK MY VEHICLE AND IT WOULD NOT START SO A FRIEND OF MINE POP THE HOOD AND HE NOTICED THAT THE THING THAT PUTS MY CAR INTO GEAR WAS NOT ATTACHED ANYMORE AND THAT IS WHY MY VEHICLE WOULD NOT START AND I HAD THE PROBLEM THAT I HAD THE NIGHT PRIOR. NEXT PROBLEM I HAVE IS MY AIRBAG SYMBOL POPS UP OFF AND ON WHILE I'M DRIVING AND WE'LL STAY ON FOR A WHILE AND THEN GO OFF AND THEN IT'LL COME BACK ON ABOUT A WEEK LATER AND THEN IT'LL GO OFF AGAIN AND THIS HAPPENS WHEN I'M DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY DOWN THE STREET JUST RANDOMLY. NEXT IS MY POWER STEERING POWER STEERING WHEN I START THE VEHICLE AND PUT MY CAR INTO GEAR AND ATTEMPT TO TURN MY WHEEL TO REVERSE OR YOU KNOW TO GET OUT OF A PARKING POSITION MY POWER STEERING WILL BE REALLY HARD REALLY TIGHT I TRY TO TURN IT AND I CAN'T TURN IT VERY FAR BECAUSE OF THE PRESSURE BEHIND IT I WILL PUT MY CAR BACK INTO GEAR TURN OFF THE CAR AND TURN MY STEERING WHEEL AS MUCH AS I CAN TO THE LEFT AS FAR AS IT'LL GO AND THEN TO THE RIGHT AS FAR AS IT'LL GO AND THEN FINALLY IT WILL LOOSEN UP SO WHERE I CAN TURN MY VEHICLE.

ADDITIONALLY, WHILE ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A LEFT TURN, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO TURN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE AND AIR BAGS WARNING LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO THE CONTACT'S HOME. BRADLEY CHEVROLET OF PARKER (2500 INDUSTRIAL PARK PLACE, PARKER, AZ 85344, (928) 754-0481) WAS CONTACTED TO SCHEDULE A DIAGNOSTIC APPOINTMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. FOR AWHILE NOW MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS BEEN ON AND MY NO TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT HAS BEEN BLINKING SO I HAD A FULL DIAGNOSTIC INSPECTION DONE THAT READ NOTHING. AS A RESULT, I HAD THEM DO A FUEL SYSTEM CLEANING SINCE THERE IS A SMALL JERKY FEEL EVERY TIME I DRIVE. I ALSO HAD THEM DO A BREAK FLUID EXCHANGE BUT THE NO TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT STILL BLINKS. ALONG WITH THAT, MOST TIMES AFTER FUELING UP MY CAR, MY CAR DRIVES WELL AND JUST FINE BUT ON SEPTEMBER 18TH, AFTER FUELING UP, I WAS TURNING INTO TRAFFIC PROCEEDING TO THE FARTHEST LANE SO THAT I CAN TURN LEFT INTO MY APARTMENTS THEN POP! AND THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED AND THE GEAR HAD LOCKED IN DRIVE. THIS SCARED ME SO BAD SO I BRAKED IN EVERY WAY I COULD HOPING I WOULDN'T CRASH THEN TRIED SHIFTING GEARS AND CRANKING MY CAR AGAIN. I GOT INTO THE GATES AND INTO THE PARKING LOT THEN MY CAR STALLED AND CUT OFF AGAIN. I FINALLY PARKED MY CAR, POPPED THE HOOD, AND THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG THAT I COULD SEE FROM MY VIEW. SO, THE NEXT DAY SEPTEMBER 19TH I DROVE TO CLASS THAT MORNING AND IT STALLED A BIT ANY TIME I INCREASED MY SPEED AS IF IT WANTED TO CUT OFF. I GOT INTO THE PARKING LOT OF MY COLLEGE AND IT CUTS OFF AS SOON AS I BEGIN TO TURN INTO A PARKING SPOT BETWEEN TWO CARS. I CRANK IT UP, COMPLETE MY PARK THEN I GO INSIDE FOR CLASS UNTIL LUNCH. ON LUNCH, I CRANK UP MY CAR AND WOW THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS FINALLY OFF BUT AS USUAL THE NO TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT IS BLINKING. I TEST DRIVE MY CAR TO THE LOCAL WINN DIXIE AND BACK AND ON THE WAY BACK POP! THEN IT STALLS TO CUT OFF BUT DOESN'T CUT OFF SO I TAKE IT BACK TO MY COLLEGE BEFORE LUNCH IS OVER AND PARK IT. NOW IT'S THE END OF THE DAY AND I'M OUT OF CLASS AND HEADED HOME. THIS TIME I MAKE IT INTO THE GATE BUT I'M GETTING CLOSE TO GOING OVER A SPEED BUMP AND POP! IT DOESN'T CUT OFF BUT IT'S STALLS BADLY LIKE IT WANTS TOO SO I PROCEED TO DRIVE THEN PARK IT. PLEASE, HELP.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V252000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, EXTERIOR LIGHTING, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REPAIR DID NOT CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,000.

REPLACEMENT PART (CABLE KIT # 23238001) UNDER RECALL 14152 HAS SUBSEQUENTLY FAILED AND AS A RESULT HAS NOT REMEDIED THE ORIGINAL SAFETY CONCERN WHICH STATES, "IF THE TRANSMISSION SHIFT CABLE FRACTURES WHILE THE VEHICLE IS BEING DRIVEN, THE TRANSMISSION GEAR SELECTION MAY NOT MATCH THE INDICATED GEAR AND THE VEHICLE MAY MOVE IN AN UNINTENDED OR UNEXPECTED DIRECTION, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. FURTHERMORE, WHEN THE DRIVER GOES TO STOP AND PARK THE VEHICLE, DESPITE SELECTING THE 'PARK' POSITION, THE TRANSMISSION MAY NOT BE IN 'PARK.' IF THE VEHICLE IS NOT IN THE "PARK" POSITION THERE IS A RISK THE VEHICLE WILL ROLL AWAY AS THE DRIVER AND OTHER OCCUPANTS EXIT THE VEHICLE OR ANYTIME THEREAFTER. VEHICLE FORTUNATELY WAS ON LEVEL GROUND AND STATIONARY AT THE TIME OF DISCOVERY. VEHICLE WOULD START NORMALLY BUT COULD NOT BE PUT IN GEAR DUE TO THE ISSUE. REQUESTED DEALERSHIP TO REPLACE UNDER THE RECALL BUT DEALERSHIP WILL NOT REPLACE SINCE IT WAS ALREADY REPLACED ONCE.

I PRESSED THE BREAK HARDER AND THE BREAK HAD A WEIRD MOVING/VIBRATING FEEL, BUT THE BUTTON EVENTUALLY PRESSED DOWN AND THE VEHICLE WENT INTO DRIVE. I KNOW I GOT IT TO DRIVE, BUT AFRAID OTHER THINGS MIGHT BE AFFECTED.

THERE WAS RECALL ON THIS CAR FOR TRANSMISSION CABLE THAT CAUSED MAY HAVE CAUSED THE SHIFTER TO NOT PROPERLY STAY IN GEAR. MY CAR DID NOT HAVE THIS ISSUE, BUT THE RECALL WAS FIXED ANYWAYS. A YEAR AND HALF AFTER RECALL WAS FIXED THE PROBLEM ACTUALLY HAPPENED DESPITE SO CALLED BEING "FIXED". I CALLED GM TO REPORT THIS AND THEY STATED THEY COULD ONLY DO SOMETHING A YEAR AFTER THE RECALL SO I AM 6 MONTHS OUT OF THIS. EITHER THEIR FIX DIDN'T WORK OR THEIR FIXED CAUSED THE PROBLEM. EITHER WAY MY CAR IS NOW COMPLETELY INOPERABLE AND I'M BEING FORCED TO FIX THIS OUT OF POCKET. I'M HOPING YOU CAN POSSIBLY HELP GET GM TO ACTUALLY FIX THIS PROBLEM AS IT HAS BEEN DOCUMENTED. I CAN GET THE COPIES OF RECALL AND IT ACTUALLY BEING FIXED IF NECESSARY. HOW THE PROBLEM HAPPENED: CAR WAS PARKED IN PARK POSITION AT A PARKING LOT. ONCE STARTED, AND FOOT APPLIED TO BRAKE PEDAL, TRANSMISSION SHIFTER WOULD FREELY MOVE INSTEAD OF SHIFTING PROPERLY. IT WOULD NOT COME OUT OF PARK. I HAD CAR IN FOR RECALL OF SHIFT CABLE IN 2014. ON AUGUST 4 2016 I WENT TO PARK CAR AND THERE WERE NO GEARS, CAR ROLLED INTO A FENCE BEFORE I COULD GET IT STOPPED. I HAD A MECHANIC LOOK AT CAR. HE FOUND WHAT WAS WRONG, WHICH IS PART OF SHIFT CABLE THAT WAS RECALLED. I WAS TOLD THE SHIFT CABLE WAS NOT REPLACED AS THE PARTS ARE ORIGINAL. I HAVE PICTURES OF ORIGINAL PART ON MY CAR. I WOULD LIKE FOR THE SHIFT CABLE TO BE REPLACED PROPERLY BUT HAVE GOTTEN NOWHERE WITH ANY DEALERS, INCLUDING THE DEALER WHO SUPPOSEDLY FIXED PART IN 2014. I HAD A RECALL FIXED (I THOUGHT) IN OCTOBER 2014 WITH THE TRANSMISSION CABLE AND BRACKET. ON APRIL 11TH 2016 THIS ITEM FAILED ON MY CAR. I'VE OWNED THIS 2007 G6 FOR 7 YEARS PRIOR TO THE RECALL WITH NO ISSUES. I CALLED THE DEALER TO PURCHASE THE CONNECTER THAT BROKE AND LEFT MY CAR IN REVERSE AFTER BACKING OUT OF A PARKING SPOT TURNING MY WHEEL TO THE RIGHT. THEY SAY I HAVE TO BUY THE WHOLE CABLE THEY REPLACED JUST ONE YEAR AND 6 MONTHS AGO. I CALLED THE DEALER THAT MADE THE RECALL REPAIR AND THEY SAID THE REPAIR WARRANTY IS ONLY GOOD FOR A YEAR. IN MY OPINION THEIR FIX IS MORE DANGEROUS THAN THE ORIGINAL PROBLEM. I CAN DRIVE IT FOR OVER SEVEN YEARS WITH NO ISSUES, BUT THE "FIX" IS ONLY GOOD FOR A YEAR AND A HALF? I WAS BACKING OUT OF A PARKING SPOT AT A RESTAURANT AFTER TAKING MY DAUGHTER TO SUPPER. I STOPPED AND PUT IT IN DRIVE THEN WHEN I LET OFF THE BRAKE AND APPLIED THE GAS MY CAR STAYED IN REVERSE ALMOST HITTING THE PEDESTRIAN THAT WALKED BEHIND MY CAR WALKING TO THEIR CAR. I COULD NOT PUT IT IN PARK AND WAS ON A SLIGHT HILL WITH TRAFFIC PULLING INTO THE RESTAURANT. I HAD TO APPLY THE EMERGENCY BRAKE AND TRY TO PUT IT IN NEUTRAL AND PUSH IT BACK INTO THE PARKING SPOT. MY CAR ALMOST RAN OVER ME BECAUSE IT WAS LOCKED IN REVERSE. I ENDED UP LETTING THE CARS PASS ME THAT WERE TRYING TO TURN IN TO GO THROUGH THE DRIVE THRU. I HAD TO BACK OUT OF THE PARKING LOT AND INTO THE STREET IN REVERSE AND BACK IT INTO THE EXIT OF THE RESTAURANT AND PARK MY CAR IN A SPOT ON THE OTHER SIDE TO GET IT OUT OF THE WAY AND BACK OUT OF THE STREET. I FEEL THE "RECALL FIX" IS MORE DANGEROUS AND NOT A FIX AT ALL. THEY WOULD NOT EVEN TALK TO ME ABOUT THE REPAIR BECAUSE IT WAS OVER ONE YEAR SINCE THE RECALL REPLACEMENT PART WAS INSTALLED. I FEEL GM HAS ENGINEERED MORE DANGER INTO THIS AND NOT FIXING A PROBLEM, BUT CREATING REVENUE FOR THEM IN MORE REPLACEMENT PARTS AND SERVICE CHARGES.

THE CAR HAS BEEN LEAKING ENGINE OIL AND GAS FROM THE BEGINNING AND I HAVE GOTTEN NO RESPONSE, FEEDBACK. ALL I HAVE BEEN GIVEN WAS A CONSTANT REPAIR LIST MOST OF WICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE. A RECALL HAD BEEN DONE ON THE GEAR SHIFT ASSEMBLY FOR THIS VEHICLE WHICH I HAD REPLACED THROUGH RECALL ON 12/31/14 HOWEVER 1 YEAR AND 25 DAYS LATER THE GEAR SHIFT ASSEMBLY DID EXACTLY WHAT THE RECALL WAS ORIGINALLY DESIGNED TO FIX. I WENT TO PARK THE VEHICLE AND THE GEAR SHIFT SLID EASILY INTO PARK BUT THE CAR KEPT ROLLING, NOT RECOGNIZING THE GEAR WAS PLACED IN PARK. UPON SHUTTING OFF THE CAR, IT WOULD NOT START AGAIN AS IF IT WAS IN GEAR. THE SHIFT SLIDES EASILY FROM PARK ALL THE WAY DOWN, NOT RECOGNIZING THE GEARS. THE PROBLEM REMAINS THAT ONCE THE RECALL WAS FIXED AND A YEAR PAST THEN THE HONORING OF FIXING THE PROBLEM IS NOT DONE.

I HAVE HAD THIS CAR SINCE 2009. ONE OF THE FIRST PROBLEMS I NOTICED WAS WHAT SEEMED TO BE ELECTRICAL WITH THE LIGHTS IN THE CAR GOING DIM FOR A BIT, THEN KICKING BACK IN. THIS ONLY HAPPENS EVERY SO OFTEN. LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT ON DRIVER SIDE KEEPS GOING OUT, EVEN WHEN PUTTING A NEW LIGHT IN. PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW IS THE ONLY WINDOW THAT WORKS AT ALL TIMES. ALL THREE OTHER WINDOWS ARE INOPERABLE AND HAVE BEEN FOR YEARS. AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WILL JERK WHILE SHIFTING GEARS. FEELS LIKE I AM DRIVING A STICK SHIFT VEHICLE, BUT THIS INDEED A AUTOMATIC. AT RED LIGHT, WHEN LIGHT TURNED GREEN, I STEPPED ON GAS AND CAR ACTED AS THO IT WAS IN NEUTRAL. IT WILL NOT GO EXCEPT IN REVERSE. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE IT IN THE MANUAL MODE TO GET CLOSER TO HOME AND SAME THING HAPPENED IN MANUAL MODE IN STOPPED TRAFFIC. I'VE SINCE SEEN SEVERAL OTHER COMPLAINTS ON THE PONTIAC G6 OWNERS FORUM, THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH THIS YEAR/MAKE/MODEL. I'VE GOTTEN VERBAL ESTIMATES FROM A FEW TRANSMISSION REPAIR FACILITIES AND THE COST TO REPAIR RANGES FROM $2200-$3400. MY 2007 PONTIAC G6 WAS NO LONGER ABLE TO SHIFT BETWEEN GEARS AS I ATTEMPTED TO PARK. ONCE THE SHIFTER WAS MOVED TO THE PARK POSITION AND MY FOOT RELEASED THE BRAKE, THE CAR CONTINUED TO ROLL. UPON INSPECTION, IT BECAME KNOWN THAT THE SHIFTER CABLE LINKAGE WAS FRACTURED. I FOUND THERE WAS AN OPEN RECALL BY GM ON PONTIAC G6 VEHICLES MANUFACTURED FROM MAY 26, 2004 TO SEPTEMBER 28,2007 (MODEL YEAR 2005-2008 VEHICLES). THE RECALL (RECALL 14152) CONTAINS THE WORDING "IF THE TRANSMISSION SHIFT CABLE FRACTURES WHILE THE VEHICLE IS BEING DRIVEN, THE TRANSMISSION GEAR SELECTION MAY NOT MATCH THE INDICATED GEAR AND THE VEHICLE MAY MOVE IN AN UNINTENDED OR UNEXPECTED DIRECTION, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH". THIS IS THE EXACT SYMPTOM WHICH STRUCK MY VEHICLE. UPON CONTACTING GM ABOUT THIS RECALL, I WAS TOLD THE VIN NUMBER OF MY VEHICLE ISN'T INCLUDED IN THEIR PREDETERMINED LOT OF CARS THEY BELIEVE TO BE AFFECTED. THE FACT THAT MY VEHICLE EXHIBITS THE EXACT ISSUE THAT GM OPENLY ADMITS TO BE A PROBLEM FOR VEHICLES THEY PRODUCED WITHIN THE YEAR RANGE MINE WAS MANUFACTURED, SHOULD BE CAUSE ENOUGH FOR THEM TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS ISSUE. THIS ISSUE IS A DESIGN FLAW WHICH IS AGITATED BY THE CHOICE OF MATERIALS USED IN THIS SPECIFIC FORCE APPLICATION. WHEN PULLING INTO A PARKING LOT AFTER AN HOUR LONG DRIVE, MY PONTIAC G6 GT HARDTOP CONVERTIBLE MADE A LOUD POP AND THEN FILLED WITH SMOKE AND FLAMES SHOT OUT OF THE HOOD. I TELEPHONED #1 COCHRAN IN MONROEVILLE 5X AND NEVER RECEIVED A RETURN CALL TO DO EMISSIONS TEST ON MACHINE. THIS IS WHERE I PURCHASED THE CAR NEW. THEN I TELEPHONED BOWSER PONTIAC AND THEY COULDN'T GET ME AN APPT TILL WEEKS BECAUSE THEY WERE BUSY AND HAD EMPLOYEES THAT KEPT CALLING OFF. I HAD MY MECHANIC DO THE EMISSION'S TEST, HE MADE A REPORT SHOWING THIS ISSUE. I CALLED GM AND EXPLAINED IF THEY CAN DO THE CUSTOMER GOOD WILL CLAIM BASED ON THE REPORT FROM MY MECHANIC BECAUSE THE DEALER'S COULD NOT GET ME AN APPOINTMENT. THEY SAID NO. THEY DEAL WITH ONLY GM DEALER'S NOT MECHANICS. SO BEING JUST MISSED THE MILEAGE WARRANTY GM IS NOT WILLING TO WORK WITH ME TO ACCEPT MY MECHANIC'S REPORT TO SHOW THEY SHOULD HAVE EXTENDED THE WARRANTY TO THE 3.5 ENGINE'S TOO. DUE TO THE INABILITY AND NON-WILLING TO WORK WITH THEIR GMAC CUSTOMER'S I AM LOOKING TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH GENERAL MOTORS AS THEY COULD NOT ACCOMMODATE ME AND I HAD TO HAVE MY MECHANIC DIAGNOSE AND PAY FOR THIS REPAIR OUT OF POCKET BECAUSE THEY WOULD NOT DO A GOOD WILL CLAIM WITH MY MECHANIC BECAUSE THE DEALER'S COULD NOT GET ME IN TO GET A DIAGNOSTIC TEST. THE VEHICLE WILL BE SHIFTED INTO PARK BUT ISN'T ACTUALLY IN PARK. I WAS INFORMED BY THE DEALER THAT SUPPOSEDLY MY SHIFTER CABLE HAS STARTED TO "FALL APART" MY VEHICLE IS NOW AT 66 540 AND IT HAS BECOME TO THE POINT WHERE I AM FORCED TO HAVE THIS ISSUE FIXED BECAUSE THE SHIFTER CABLE IS COMPLETELY DESTROYED ALMOST. I HAVE REQUESTED FOR GM TO PAY FOR THIS REPAIR AND THEY HAVE DENIED MY REQUEST BECAUSE THEY ARE ALREADY TRYING TO REPAIR THE FACT THAT MY AIRBAG'S DON'T WORK THAT I FILLED IN A SEPARATE COMPLAINT ON HERE. HUGE SAFETY ISSUE THAT ALMOST COST ME MY CAR AND COULD HAVE COST TWO PEOPLE THEIR LIVES OR AT LEAST THEIR MOBILITY. GM REFUSES TO ACCEPT THAT THERE IS A DEFECT IN THE SHIFTER CABLE AND CLIP ON THE 2007 MODEL OF THE G6 AND NOT JUST THE 2009 THAT THEY CLAIM. THIS EXACT SAME ISSUE IS PRESENT IN THE 2009 G6 AND HAS BEEN RECALLED BUT NOT THE 2007. I AM REQUESTING THAT THIS BE INVESTIGATED FURTHER BECAUSE GM SHOULD BE PAYING FOR THESE REPAIRS... SITUATION: THE G6 WAS ON CRUISE CONTROL AT ABOUT 50 MPH, THE ROAD WAS IN VERMONT HILLS/MOUNTAINS, THE WEATHER WAS RAINING -- FROM LIGHT TO AN INCREASING INTENSITY. THE WIPERS WERE TURNED ON TO THE LOW PULSE SETTING, AND AS THE RAIN INTENSITY INCREASED THE PULSE FREQUENCY WAS INCREASED ONE STEP AT A TIME. WHEN THE PULSE WAS AT ITS FASTEST, AND THE G6 WAS PROCEEDING UP AN INCLINE AND THE CRUISE LOGIC WAS IN THE PROCESS OF DECIDING TO SHIFT GEARS, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS STOPPED ENOUGH TO OBSCURE ALL VISION. THIS CONDITION REPEATED ITSELF UNTIL I CHANGED THE PULSE SETTING TO CONSTANT. THEN, AGAIN, BUT THIS TIME IN WEST LAFAYETTE TRAVELING FROM THE MAIN ROAD NORTH OUT OF TOWN UP ROUTE 443 BETWEEN ROUTE 43 AND 52 ON CRUISE AT 35 MPH IN A RAIN WITH THE WIPERS ON FAST PULSE THE WIPERS STOPPED AND VISION WAS OBSCURED. SOOO, THE HILL/INCLINE DOES NOT HAVE TO BE 'MOUNTAINOUS' OR VERY LONG IN DURATION. THE DEALER IN VT SUGGESTED I SHOULD JUST PUT IT ON CONSTANT PULSE TO AVOID THE ISSUE -- DUH. THE DEALER IN MICHIGAN ATTEMPTED TO REPLICATE THE CONDITION BUT CITY TRAFFIC, ETC. PROHIBITED THE 'EXPERIMENT'. THE GM CUSTOMER RELATIONS CONTACTS SIMPLY KEPT TELLING ME THAT THE CONDITION 'DID NOT EXIST' BECAUSE IT COULD NOT BE REPLICATED -- WHICH WAS THE SAME AS CALLING ME A LIAR. DUH. YET THE GM CR WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO DISCUSS THE ISSUE WITH ANYONE INVOLVED WITH THE VEHICLE DESIGN OR BUILD -- BECAUSE "IT COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED" YET I DUPLICATED THE VT OCCURRENCE IN ILLINOIS IN DIFFERENT TERRAIN. SINCE THE 'HILL' IN WEST LAFAYETTE IS VERY TYPICAL OF HILLS IN MOST OF THE STATES IN THE USA IT IS LIKELY THAT ANYONE DRIVING IN THE CONDITIONS NOTED WOULD EXPERIENCE THE SAME RESULT. YET, NO ONE IN GM WILL SIT AND DISCUSS THIS AT A FUNCTIONAL LEVEL. WHEN THE WIPER STOPS AND NO ONE CAN SEE OUT THE FRONT WINDSHIELD, WHETHER TRAVELING AT 50 OR 35 MPH THE CONDITION IS VERY CRITICAL AND A SERIOUS ACCIDENT CAN OCCUR. I PURCHASED A USED 2007 PONTIAC G6 FOR MY DAUGHTER IN NOVEMBER 2008. SINCE THAT TIME THE CAR HAS SHUT OFF UNEXPECTEDLY OR NOT STARTED ON OCCASION. RECENTLY SHE HAS BEEN EXPERIENCING DIFFICULTY IN TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE POWER STEERING FLUID LIGHT IS ON. UPON RESEARCH WE WERE INFORMED THAT THE G6 DOES NOT HAVE A POWER STEERING PUMP AND HAS AN ELECTRICAL ENGINE. UPON FURTHER RESEARCH I HAVE FOUND THAT MANY OWNERS OF THE PONTIAC G6 HAVE COMPLAINED OF THIS PROBLEM TO NO AVAIL.
