There is an immediate loss of steering while driving a 2009 Pontiac G6. The steering wheel locks up making it difficult, at times impossible, to steer the vehicle left or right. The only way to unlock the steering wheel is by placing the vehicle in 'Park' and turn the ignition off to restart the vehicle.
My brake lights are malfunctioning. It has not worked correctly in years. When you press on the brake, the brake lights turn itself off. When not pressing on the brake, my brake lights are on. I reached out to the GM dealership and I told them that the recall was fixed, but the issue is ongoing and poses extreme safety issues. I have gotten pulled over for this. No lights are on my dashboard. I have owned the car since the beginning of COVID and the issue has happened since.
Timing Chain making noise...voltage fluctuations throughout all the car...cruise control will shut off if I got to use wipers or blinkers or even turn on the air system and lights will dim if you use power windows or have the radio up loud.
Power steering goes out when it wants to, will go back on if you turn the car on and off , my safety for me and my daughter was at risk I couldn’t stop to turn it on and off because I wasn’t at a red light , it has not been inspected but it seems like the problem is we’ll known ,theirs a warning message that will pop up on the radio that you can’t hear go on or see until it’s to late
The Body Control Module (BCM) Part number 20943341 malfunctioned. Tried to replace the part at the dealership and was told that the part is no longer being manufactured. Eventually found a new part on eBay and was told by the dealership that they could not re-program the BCM computer. The car is undriveable.
Headlights are burning, melting and charged connections and causing dim lights. These headlights were recently replaced with new OEM healing’s for the second time and each replacement is burning out the connection. Please advise?

I have had this car since 2018 and the exterior lighting has been giving me trouble ever since I first got the car. The biggest problem is my headlights. They were first going out every 2-3 months so I kept replacing the bulb. Now it is much worst. I have had various mechanics, family, and friends maintenance the car over the past 5 years. We have tried replacing bulbs and wires but nothing works. The lights go out very quickly. Sometimes both lights will work or only one light will work. I try to smack the headlights for it to come on and sometimes that works. They go in and out when I am driving. Right now, neither of the lights are working and it is becoming dangerous because I have to drive at night and people on the road can have a hard time seeing me because my car is black. I have a traffic citation for this back in December 2018.

The power steering mechanism stopped working, therefore I cannot turn the wheel. The gear shifter/drive train stopped working, therefore I cannot go into reverse, I am stuck in 3rd gear. It is unsafe because when I go to turn I cannot turn the wheel at times. I have issues braking. All of these issues are recalls on the vehicle. GM states that the recalls were performed seven years ago in San Juan, Puerto Rico, I have no way to verify that information nor any assurances that the parts used weren't faulty. I request new repairs under the recall warnings.
Well, we purchased a 2009 Pontiac G6 in November of 2021. We have been having problems with our light staying on, we were pull over a couple nights ago due to our lights not working. Also, our G6 pulls to the right and tweeters are the only speakers that work. Sometimes the driver door speaker will come on but that's in a blue moon. My step dad looked at my lights and noticed our wires were burnt and so was the connection piece. My fiancé informed me the other day that when he was fueling up, that he had to turn the car off because he heard a weird noise coming from the inside of the gas tank. Also, when we purchased the vehicle the battery was put in wrong and rubbing up against our hood [XXX] near caught our car on fire. Sometimes the car with slowing idle and won't go until I have to put my foot all the way down to the floor. Also, I had all 4 brand new tires put on it and the tire light is still on. Coat me $576.67 for tires because I got the weather, puncture proof and warranty! We have told South Shields Auto Credit in OKC, Ok I believe his name is [XXX] about the lights and he told his actual words "THAT SOUNDS LIKE WIRING PROBLEM AND WE DON'T DEAL WITH WIRING PROBLEMS"!! We took it in to get the light fixed and the lights were working for about 2 days and they quit working again. I have had two incidents when powering steering failed. Luckily I wasn't going fast both times. Problem resolved after restarting car. I took to mechanic and was given a recall number and told to contact the dealership. I made appointment and was told that recall had expired. Apparently this has been an issue with this car for many years but dealership isn't always acknowledging it. The recall was issued before I bought the car therefore I didn't know any info or I wouldn't have purchased it. Since this has been an issue for many years, I feel that the dealership should always repair.
Please reference G.M. Bulletin 14116B or NHTSA recall on this vehicle for a defective Steering Torque Sensor. According to G.M., my car/VIN is not affected by this issue. The fact is it also has the defective Torque Sensor and it has disabled my power steering every winter since new on a cold day. I took it to the dealer when it was still under warranty in 2010, but the problem was not identified at that time so they didn't replace anything. I recently contacted G.M. to allow them to make this right. They told me to take it to a local dealer and have it properly diagnosed and then they could help me. I took it to a G.M. dealer, paid the $150 diagnosis fee. The dealer confirmed it was a defective Torque Sensor. Now G.M. won't call me back and left me hanging. They obviously know this Recall needs to be expanded. Please investigate.
The contact owns a 2009 Pontiac G6. The contact stated that a friend had alerted him that his brake lights remained illuminated while driving. The contact also stated that the brake lights would go out upon the depression of the brake pedal without warning. The contact then placed some dielectric grease on the brake wiring harness which repaired the brake light connection. The contact also stated that the front driver’s side headlight also failed to operate without warning. The contact applied dielectric grease to the wiring harness however, the failure persisted. Upon investigation, the contact linked the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V252000 (Electrical System, Exterior Lighting, Vehicle Speed Control, Electronic Stability Control). The contact had spoken with the manufacturer and was informed that the VIN was not under recall. The contact was then referred to the NHTSA for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 160,000.

I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM SCHOOL AND AT THE INTERSECTION THAT I TAKE EVERYDAY ON A BUSY ROAD (BOULEVARD). WHEN I TRIED TO TURN RIGHT AT THE INTERSECTION THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED AND THE CAR WENT STRAIGHT IN THE OPPOSITE LANE WHERE A SEMI TRUCK WAS COMING MY WAY. IF THE SEMI DIDN'T BRAKE FOR ME I WOULDN'T BE ALIVE TODAY. IT WAS ICY AND I SOMEHOW GOT MYSELF BACK IN MY LANE AFTER USING ALL MY STRENGTH TO TURN THE WHEEL. THIS WAS MY CLOSET TO DEATH EXPERIENCE TO THIS DAY AND I HAVE NOT BEEN IN THE CAR EVER SINCE THEN. THE CAR HAS BEEN PARKED SINCE WINTER AND HAS NOT ONLY THREATENED MY SAFETY BUT HAS COST MY POCKET BOOK A LOT OF MONEY. I FIND IT SUSPICIOUS THAT THE PREVIOUS YEAR MODELS WERE RECALLED FOR ELECTRONIC ASSIST POWER STEERING FAILURE YET MY 2009 WAS NOT AND IS EQUIPPED WITH THE SAME POWER STEERING OPTION. I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR IN FOR DIAGNOSTICS TESTS FOR MAINTENANCE OF THE CAR AND THEY HAVE COME BACK SAYING THE CAR IS FINE. ALTHOUGH WHEN I GO TO DRIVE IT, SOMEHOW A LIGHT COMES ON. EXAMPLES INCLUDE('ESC SYSTEM OFF' LIGHTS, 'SERVICE TRACTION' LIGHTS, 'TC' OFF. THE MAIN ISSUE THAT I AM REPORTING JUST OCCURRED TWO DAYS AGO. I WAS DRIVING OUT OF THE WALMART PARKING LOT ONTO THE MAIN ROAD AND THE LIGHT ON MY CAR APPEARED 'POWER STEERING OFF SERVICE ESC' MY STEERING WHEEL THEN STIFFENED UP AS I WAS TURNING ONTO THE MAIN ROAD. THERE WAS A CAR TURNING RIGHT INFRONT OF ME THAT I ALMOST HIT, BECAUSE I LOST CONTROL OF MY STEERING WHEEL. I THEN TOOK MY CAR INTO AN AUTO REPAIR SHOP WHERE THEY INFORMED ME THAT THIS WAS SOMETHING THEY COULD NOT FIX BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE THE PARTS AND I WOULD HAVE TO TAKE IT INTO A PONTIAC OR A CHEVY DEALERSHIP. THIS PROBLEM WITH THE POWER STEERING BEING ELECTRICAL IS NOT SAFE AND A RECALL NEEDS TO BE DONE ON THIS MODEL AS WELL. I USE MY CAR TO COMMUTE TO SCHOOL AND WORK EVERYDAY AND THIS PROBLEM POSES AS NOT ONLY A SAFETY RISK BUT A INCONVENIENCE TO MY EVERYDAY LIFE. I WOULD LIKE SOMETHING TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS ISSUE. I HAVE BEEN RESEARCHING THIS PROBLEM WITH PONTIACS AND I HAVE NOTICED IT'S A REOCCURRING ISSUE, THESE CARS SHOULD NOT BE SOLD TO CUSTOMERS WITH ALL OF THESE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS THAT CONTINUE TO HAPPEN. ON THE NIGHT OF DECEMEBER 31, 2018, THE FAMILY AND I WERE GETTING READY TO GO OUT WHEN WE NOTICED THE CAR WOULDN'T START AND ALL THE OUTSIDE LIGHTS WERE STAYING ON AND DIM. PRIOR TO THIS NIGHT, MY SPOUSE NOTICED THAT THE INTERIOR LIGHTS WERE STAYING ON AS WELL SO HE REMOVED THE FUSE AS A TEMPORARY FIX SO THAT I MAY GO TO WORK. I BELIEVE THIS MAY BE DUE TO THE RECALLS THAT I RECENTLY FOUND OUT ABOUT. IM UNCERTAIN OF THE EXACT CAUSE OF THIS ISSUE BUT FROM WHAT I'VE READ ABOUT THE RECALLSB I BELIEVE IT MAY HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH EITHER THE IGNITION OR THE BRAKE PEDAL SHORTING OUT THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM.

THE DEALER WAS NOT CALLED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000.

I BROUGHT MY VEHICLE TO A LOCAL GM DEALER TO BE "FIXED" AND NOW MY CAR IS HAVING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEMS AS BEFORE: LOSS OF CRUISE CONTROL, MALFUNCTIONING BRAKE LIGHTS, LOSS OF TRACTION CONTROL, DIFFICULTY SHIFTING GEAR OUT OF PARK POSITION. THESE PROBLEMS BEGAN OCCURRING IN 2013. GM SHOULD HAVE TOLD CUSTOMERS THAT THE "FIX" WAS TEMPORARY, AS I WAS ALMOST REAR-ENDED MULTIPLE TIMES YESTERDAY DUE TO MY BRAKE LIGHTS MALFUNCTIONING. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND SOMEONE COULD GET INJURED OR KILLED DUE TO THE ISSUES WITH THE BRAKE LIGHTS. AFTER RECEIVING MY RECALL NOTICE AND TAKING MY CAR TO BE SERVICED, I THOUGHT I WOULD NEVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THIS AGAIN. IT TURNS OUT THE MECHANICS AT THE GM DEALER JUST CLEANED THE BCM AND APPLIED DIELECTRIC GREASE TO IT, WHICH IS WHAT I HAD BEEN DOING BEFORE THE RECALL EVEN CAME UP...IT IS INSULTING THAT THEY WOULD CONSIDER THIS A "FIX" AND ENDANGER THEIR DRIVERS, WHEN THEY HAD TO KNOW THAT THIS WOULD ONLY HELP TEMPORARILY. IT SEEMS THE ENTIRE BCM NEEDS REPLACED TO ACTUALLY FIX IT, WHICH IS EXPENSIVE. GM SHOULD COVER THE COST OF THIS, AS I KNOW I AM NOT THE ONLY DRIVER HAVING REPEAT ISSUES AFTER HAVING THE CAR "FIXED" DURING THE RECALL. MY CAR HAS NOW ALSO LOST POWER STEERING ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION (LOSS OF POWER STEERING FIRST OCCURRED THIS YEAR), AND MY HEADLIGHTS KEEP GOING OUT, EVEN WHEN THE BULBS ARE BRAND NEW (THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING ISSUE FOR TWO YEARS NOW). WHEN I SMACK THE HEADLIGHTS, THEY COME BACK ON. I SEE THAT OTHER DRIVERS ARE ALSO HAVING ISSUES WITH THEIR POWER STEERING AND HEADLIGHTS, AS WELL AS WITH THE BCM. I AM DISAPPOINTED THAT GM HAS NOT PROVIDED A PERMANENT SOLUTION FOR THESE ISSUES, AND I DO NOT ALWAYS FEEL SAFE WHEN DRIVING THIS CAR.
THE WIPERS FAILED TO WORK. BUT AFTER 10-15 MINUTES OF THE VEHICLE OPERATING THEY BEGAN TO THEN WORK. SOMETIMES THE WIPERS WOULD WORK WITH THE WASHERS AND HIGH SPEED ONLY. WHEN THE WIPERS WERE LEFT ON AND THE CAR WAS PARKED, THE BATTERY DRAINED AND WAS DEAD THE NEXT MORNING. THEN THE ENGINE ON TWO OCCASIONS ATTEMPTED TO START ITSELF WHEN SITTING AND NOT ON. ON ONE OCCASION IT SUCCESSFULLY STARTED ITSELF. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS THE INTERIOR DOME LIGHT STAYED ON.

BUT WHAT CAN WE DO? I'VE BEEN EXPERIENCING POWER STEERING GOING OUT OCCASIONALLY FOR NO APPARENT REASON WHAT SO EVER. THERE IS A RECALL BUT MY CAR IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL ALTHOUGH THERE WERE 2009 MODELS THAT WERE. I WAS TOLD MY VIN NUMBER WASN'T INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE AIR BAG ALERT STAYS ON. I HAD IT DIAGNOSED ALONG WITH THE SEAT BELT ALERT AND BOTH NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE SEAT BELT SENSOR MODULE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. MY REAR DOOR LOCKS DON'T WORK AND THAT'S ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. I FEEL THE CAR MANUFACTURER KNEW THESE PROBLEMS EXISTED AND SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR SELLING THESE DEATH TRAPS. WITH ALL THESE SERIOUS PROBLEMS, I CAN'T GRASP WHY GM DON'T TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ALL THIS AND GET THEM OFF THE RODE. I AND OTHER MOTORISTS ARE NOT SAFE WHILE I'M STILL DRIVING THIS CAR. AS I WAS DRIVING TOWARDS MY HOME AFTER DARK, MY DRIVERS SIDE HEADLIGHT (LOW-BEAM) WENT OUT. BECAUSE I WAS ON A RURAL ROAD, I TURNED ON MY HIGH-BEAMS. FIRST CALL I MADE TO THE DEALERSHIP, WAS GREETED WITH THE FOLLOWING RESPONSE (FROM THE DEALERSHIP) CALL BACK IN APRIL (MY CALL WAS MADE IN FEBRUARY ? WHEN I RECEIVED THE LETTER). I CALLED IN MAY, THEY STILL DIDN'T HAVE THE PARTS FOR THE REPAIR, AND THEY WERE UNWILLING TO PUT MY NAME ON A LIST TO CALL ME BACK. I FINALLY CALLED ANOTHER DEALERSHIP ? THEY ORDERED THE PART AND CALLED ME BACK AND REPAIRED MY VEHICLE. SO, WHEN THE SECOND RECALL NOTICE WAS RECEIVED FOR THE PONTIAC G6, I CALLED THE SECOND DEALERSHIP ? FOR APPROXIMATELY 6-8 MONTHS MY HEADLIGHTS HAVE BEEN CONSTANTLY GOING OUT. I HAVE REPLACED HEADLIGHTS ONCE A MONTH SINCE IT BEGAN. THIS IS EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS SINCE MY HEADLIGHTS WILL GO OUT RANDOMLY WHILE I AM DRIVING. I FIGURED SINCE THE BRAKE RECALL WAS ELECTRICAL, THIS APPLIES TO THE WHOLE CAR, BUT GM SAYS IT DOES NOT AFFECT THE WHOLE CAR. I WAS TOLD THAT THE CORVETTES ARE HAVING THIS SAME ISSUE AND I WOULD NEED TO PAY $100 DIAGNOSTIC FEE TO BE ABLE TO MOVE FORWARD. I THINK ELECTRICAL ISSUES AFFECT THE WHOLE CAR, BUT WITH ALL THE RECALLS GM IS TRYING TO AVOID WHAT IT CAN. I'M NOT A MECHANIC THOUGH. THE CAR HAS HAD SIGNIFICANT ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS SINCE ITS PURCHASE. TO SUMMARIZE: I HAD AN IGNITION FUSE REPAIRED IN 2009 WHEN THE CAR TURNED OFF SUDDENLY WHILE I WAS DRIVING. REPLACED A FAULTY HEADLIGHT SOCKET THAT WAS MELTED TO THE INSIDE HOUSING, HAVE REPLACED AN EXCESSIVE NUMBER OF LIGHT BULBS IN THE CAR, AND HAVE ALSO HAD THE POWER DOOR LOCKS FAIL. MOST RECENTLY, REMOTE IGNITION WAS NOT WORKING, BUT WAS LATER FIXED AFTER A MAJOR REPAIR LAST MONTH TO THE POWER STEERING. I WAS DRIVING THE CAR WHEN MY POWER STEERING FAILED. HAD IT TOWED TO A LOCAL GM DEALERSHIP, WHO SAID MY POWER STEERING CONTROL MODULE HAD TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF $750 DOLLARS. WAS AWARE OF A RECALL FOR 2009 G-6'S FOR POWER STEERING, BUT DEALERSHIP SEEMED TO HAVE NO INFORMATION REGARDING RECALL. WAS TOLD THAT MY VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN ANY RECALLS. CONTACTED GM, WHO TOLD US TO WAIT FOR A NEW ROUND OF RECALL LETTERS TO BE DISTRIBUTED. IN THE MEANTIME, IT TAKES 6 DAYS FOR THE REPAIRS, AND ONLY AFTER SIGNIFICANT QUESTIONING DID THE DEALER ADMIT THAT PARTS WERE HARD TO FIND DUE TO THE RECALL. WE ASKED THE DEALERSHIP TO LET US HAVE THE FAULTY PART TO PURSUE ACTION FROM GM. DEALER TOLD US THEY HAD THROWN PARTS AWAY, DESPITE THIS BEING AGAINST GM PROTOCOL. THEY LOCATED OUR PART AFTER WE PUSHED THEM TO INVESTIGATE (CAR HAD BEEN REPAIRED THAT VERY MORNING, PARTS HAD NOT BEEN THROWN AWAY), AND ASSESSED A $100 CORE CHARGE. HAVE BEEN BOUNCED BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN GM AND DEALER SINCE, WITH NO RESPONSIBILITY TAKEN BY EITHER PARTY. MOST RECENTLY, GM SAID THEY WILL NOT PAY FOR REIMBURSEMENT, AND DEALER SAID THE PARTS THEY REPAIRED WERE NOT RECALLED SO THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE EITHER. RECENTLY, I WAS TOLD I HAD A BURNT HEADLIGHT (LOW BEAM AGAIN). I HAVE BEEN STOPPED ON THE INTERSTATE TO BE TOLD THAT MY BRAKES WERE FLASHING (WHILE DRIVING) AND THEN THEY WERE WORKING OPPOSITE OF WHAT THEY SHOULD BE (BRAKE LIGHTS ON WHILE DRIVING AND OFF WHILE BRAKING). I HAVE SEEN OTHER PONTIAC G6'S WITH THE SAME ISSUE. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS ISSUE IN MY OPINION AS I COULD EASILY BE REAR-ENDED DUE TO FAULTY BRAKES. THEY PERFORMED IT AND THE PROBLEM WAS CORRECTED BUT THIS NEEDS TO BE 100% CORRECTED AS SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET KILLED. MY WIFE HAS RECEIVED ONE WARNING FROM POLICE; HEADLIGHT WAS WORKING AGAIN WHEN SHE RESTARTED CAR AFTER THE WARNING. WITH INCREASING FREQUENCY BOTH LOW BEAM HEAD LIGHTS FAIL WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT. THESE RANDOM FAILURES IN LOW BEAM ILLUMINATION REQUIRES THE DRIVER (MY WIFE USUALLY) TO IMMEDIATELY SWITCH ON HIGH BEAMS. BOTH HIGH BEAM LIGHTS ARE WORKING AT THIS TIME, BUT THESE EVENTS TEND TO INFURIATE ONCOMING DRIVERS WHO HIGH BEAM BACK AT US, SO BOTH DRIVERS ARE BLINDED. IN MY OPINION, THIS VEHICLE IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE AT ANY SPEED AT NIGHT OR IN THE RAIN DUE TO RANDOM LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT OUTAGES. THEREFORE, WE USE OF THE G6 IS LIMITED. THOUGH WE LIKE THE MODEL AND HAD HOPED FOR SEVERAL MORE YEARS OF USE, MY WIFE DOES NOT TRUST THE LIGHTS WILL STAY ON AT NIGHT, OR WHEN IT RAINS. I FEEL BAD ABOUT DUMPING THIS CAR ON THE USED/PRE-OWNED CAR MARKET WITHOUT FILING SOME FORM OF OFFICIAL COMPLAINT. THE LOCKS HAD RESET AND THE DOORS WERE ABLE TO CLOSE. THEN IN 2010, MY DRIVER SIDE DOOR LOCKED SHUT ON ME! I WASN'T ABLE TO GET OUT OF MY CAR. AFTER 2 HOURS THE DOOR LOCKS RESET. THE SAME ISSUE HAPPENED AGAIN TO THE REAR DOOR. THIS TIME, I WAS ABLE TO GET AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE DEALERSHIP. THE CAR WAS UNDER WARRANTY AT THE TIME. I TOLD THE DEALERSHIP THAT I HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH ALL THE DOOR LOCKS AND THEY SAID THEY CAN ONLY FIX THE ONE SINCE THAT WAS THE ONLY ONE WITH THE PROBLEM AT THE TIME. IN 2011, I HAD SIMILAR ISSUES WHETHER THE DOORS WERE LOCKED SHUT OR LOCKED OPEN. EVERY TIME I WOULD MAKE AN APPOINTMENT, THE LOCKS WOULD RESET AND THE PROBLEM WAS LEFT UNDIAGNOSED. IN FEBRUARY 2013, MY FIANCE HAD TAKEN MY VEHICLE TO HIS LOCAL MECHANIC. THE MECHANIC GOT LOCKED INSIDE MY VEHICLE! THEN IN MAY 2013, I WAS WITH MY NIECE AGAIN AND THE REAR DOORS AND DRIVER DOOR LOCKED OPEN! I GAVE THE CAR SOME TIME TO RESET, AND THE DOOR UNLATCHED AND CLOSED. BUT THEN IT GOT LOCKED SHUT! ON 12/31/2011 I WAS PULLED OVER FOR A BURNT OUT HEADLIGHT. UPON REPLACING THE BULB I NOTICED THAT THE SOCKET WHERE THE BULB PLUGS IN WAS MELTED. I PUT A NEW BULB IN AND IT WORKED FOR 3 MONTHS. WHEN THAT WENT OUT IN MARCH OF 2012 I REPLACED IT AGAIN. NOW IN AUGUST OF 2012 THAT BULB BURNT OUT. THERE IS A CONNECTION TO THE MELTED HARNESS AS THE BULB THAT BURNT OUT WAS MELTED SLIGHTLY WHERE IT MADE A CONNECTION TO THE SOCKET. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY AN ISSUE THAT GOES WELL BEYOND MY VEHICLE AS A SEARCH ON THE INTERNET SHOWS OTHER OWNERS WITH THE SAME ISSUES. WHEN THE LIGHT BULB BURNS OUT AT NIGHT IT PUTS EVERYONE AT A SAFETY RISK WHICH IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. GM NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS. *TR

MY DRIVER SIDE HEADLIGHT WAS OUT. I REPLACE THE BULB FROM 2 DIFFERENT AUTO STORE AND STILL NOT WORKING. THEN MY DAD LOOK AT THE CONNECTOR LOOK AND SEEN THAT 1 OF THE WIRES WAS BURNED OUT. SO I WAS TOLD TO TAKE IT TO GMC AND SEE IF THEY CAN FIX IT SINCE I HAD EXTENDED WARRANTY. AFTER TELLING SERVICE DEPT MY ISSUE AND WHAT I THOUGHT WAS WRONG; I GET HIT WITH A $89 DIAGNOSE IT FEE THAT I HAD ALREADY HAD TOLD THEM WHAT WAS GOING ON. THEY CALLED AND LET ME KNOW THAT MY CONNECTOR WAS BURNED OUT AND NEED TO REPLACE THEM IN ORDER THE LIGHT TO WORK AND IT WASN'T COVERED THRU MY EXTENDED WARRANTY SO I HAD TO PAY $290 TO GET FIX. AFTER GOOGLE THIS ISSUE LOOKS LIKE THIS A ON GOING ISSUE FOR THIS VEHICLE THAT I THINK SHOULD BE A RECALL BEFORE SOMETHING ELSE GET SHORTAGE DUE TO BURNED OUT WIRING. MY BRAKE LIGHTS STICK OR REMAIN ON EVEN WHEN THEY ARE NOT BEING PRESSED MAKING IT APPEAR THAT IM RIDING MY BRAKES. I HAVE BEEN PULLED OVER BY THE POLICE ONCE ALREADY. IN 2010 I PURCHACED A 2009 PONTIAC G6. I HAD IT FOR A COUPLE WEEKS AND MY HEAD LIGHTS BURNED OUT.
