My car says service stabilitrak and my traction control light is still on whether I hit the button or not I just spent a grand for it to be fixed and it I’m still having the same issue my brakes will lock up or my wheel locks up uncontrollably I have almost gotten into numerous accidents because of it.

VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. JUMPED BATTERY TO GET STARTED. STABILITY CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON. STEERING WHEEL WOULD NOT TURN. SHUT OFF AFTER LETTING RUN TO CHARGE BATTERY. SHUIT OFF. VEHICLE WILL NOT RESTART AND THE KEY CANNOT BE REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAPPENED. THE LAST TIME THE POWER STEERING MOTOR CONTROL AND THE STABILITY CONTROL MODULE WAS REPLACED. ALL THIS WHILE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN MY GARAGE. VEHICLE HAS 26000 MILES ON IT.

ON 11/5/17 MY 2007 PONTIAC STEERING LOCKED AND I WAS IN A MAJOR CAR CRASH. THE STEERING LOCKED AS I TRIED TO LEAVE A GAS STATION AFTER GIVING A STRANDED PERSON A JUMP. I TURNED CAR OFF AND BACK ON AND IT WAS FINE. PROCEEDED HOME AND GOT ON THE HIGHWAY, AFTER DRIVING ABOUT 45 MINUTES THE STEERING LOCKED AGAIN AS I WAS CHANGING LANES, I HIT THE BACK OF A TRUCK AND MY CAR LOST CONTROL. MY CAR WENT ACROSS LANES OF ON COMING TRAFFIC AND FLIPPED AND RAN OFF THE ROAD.

WHEN DRIVING THE POWER STEERING GOES OUT OR LOCKS UP MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO STEER. IT HAD BEEN CONTINUING UNTIL THE CAR HAS BEEN ON FOR 20 OR SO MINUTES BUT NOW IT'S GOING ON FOR LONGER. AUGUST 12 2015 THE CAR DOORS BEGAN LOCKING AND UNLOCKING ON THEIR OWN.THE SPEEDOMETER/TACHOMETER BEGAN ACTING CRAZILY ON THEIR OWN. A SHORT TIME AFTER, HAVING NOT HAD STEERING ISSUES BEFORE DRIVER WAS SHOCKED BECAUSE THE STEERING WHEEL MALFUNCTIONED (IF SHE TURNED IT LEFT THE STEERING WHEEL TURNED BUT NOT THE VEHICLE, IT KEPT GOING STRAIGHT). SHE LOWERED SPEED AND EVENTUALLY THE STEERING WHEEL STARTED WORKING.WARNING LIGHTS ALL WHEEL DRIVE ABS SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT HAD COME ON WHEN THE PROBLEM OCCURRED. HUSBAND DROVE CAR THAT NIGHT BUT COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG. THEY TOOK CAR TO CALKINS PONTIAC IN BURNHAM PA AUGUST 20TH.CALKINS HAD IT A FEW DAYS.INVOICES CAN BE SENT.CALKINS FOUND NOTHING BUT CODES STORED IN HISTORY U0073 U0131 B3006 U0102.THEY COULDN'T REINVENT THE PROBLEM.THEY TOOK CAR HOME HUSBAND WAS DRIVING IT WHEN THE SAME PROBLEMS REOCCURRED. CAR TOOK A HARD RIGHT TURN AS IF SOMEONE REACHED OVER AND YANKED THE CAR TO THE RIGHT. THE WHEEL WOULD NOT TURN BACK. IT LOCKED UP.BEFORE ALMOST HITTING GUARD RAIL THE WHEEL WENT BACK TO NORMAL. UP THE ROAD IT HAPPENED AGAIN SEVERAL TIMES.THEY TOOK CAR TO CALKINS AGAIN ON 25TH.THEY PAID $490 THIS TIME TO REPLACE THE BODY CONTROL MODULE. SEPT 11, 12TH, 17TH HOWEVER SAME PROBLEMS HAPPENED. AT THIS POINT THE CAR CAN'T BE DRIVEN DUE TO SAFETY BUT OWNERS NEED TO USE VEHICLE. IT HAS ONLY 99,157 MILES ON IT. I MANAGED TO MAKE IT HOME, THEN THE SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL, SERVICE STABILITRACK , AND THE ENGINE POWER IS REDUCED LIGHTS CAME ON. I AM BEYOND UPSET, I GOT IT FROM THE DEALERSHIP THAT I HAVE DONE BUSINESS WITH FOR YEARS, I AM WAITING ON THEM TO OPEN THIS MORNING TO GIVE THEM A CALL. I PURCHASED THE TORRENT IN SEPTEMBER OF 2007. SINCE SOME TIME IN 2008 THE "SERVICE STABILITRAK" CAUTION LIGHT COMES ON INFREQUENTLY. I NOTICE THAT IT SEEMS TO BE WHEN THE VEHICLE HAS PERHAPS NOT BEEN PARKED COMPLETELY LEVEL. IT USUALLY RESETS BUT IS AN ANNOYANCE. I HAVE NOT HAD A DEALER DIAGNOSE THIS ISSUE. THE SECOND ISSUE IS VERY RECENT; I WOULD SAY WITHIN THE LAST 60-90 DAYS. THE IGNITION DOES NOT WANT TO RELEASE THE KEY ONCE THE CAR IS STOPPED AND IN PARK. I CAN USUALLY GET IT OUT WITH SOME EFFORT BUT SOMETIMES HAVE TO TURN THE ENGINE BACK ON A FEW TIMES AND TURN IT OFF AGAIN. INCIDENTS ARE BECOMING MORE FREQUENT. INITIALLY I THOUGHT IT WAS THE WAY I WAS REMOVING THE KEY BUT I AM NOT DRIVING THE CAR ANY DIFFERENTLY THAN I ALWAYS HAVE. CURRENTLY VEHICLE MILEAGE IS 46,062. VEHICLE STARTED JUMPING FORWARD AND WHEELS/TIRES WOULD NOT TURN. IT HAS AN ELECTRONIC ASSIST POWER STEERING UNIT IN THE TORRENT THAT HAS COMPLETELY FAILED ME TWO TIMES, BOTH WHILE DRIVING THE CAR, AND HAS COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY LOCKED UP WHERE I CAN'T EVEN GET IT OUT OF THE WAY OF TRAFFIC, AND IT HAS TO BE TOWED FROM THE SPOT IT STOPS AT. POWER STEERING WENT OUT. THANK GOODNESS I WAS SITTING STILL. SHUT OFF CAR, STEERING DID NOT ENGAGE. STABILI TRAC SERVICE LIGHT CAME ON. TOOK TO DEALER, THEY KEPT IT ONE DAY AND SAID IT WAS FIXED. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE. *JB

DRIVING THE 2007 PONTIAC TORRENT AT 70 MPH, WITHOUT ANY WARNING STEERING LOCKED UP AND HAD NO STEERING CONTROL. GOT STOPPED IN ON COMING TRAFFIC LANE,THANK GOODNESS THERE WAS NO TRAFFIC. STEERING WHEEL WAS STILL LOCKED UP, SHUT OFF ENGINE AND CHECKED OUTSIDE OF VEHICLE, STARTED VEHICLE AND HAD STEERING. TOO IT TO DEALER AND HE SAID HE FIXED IT. WENT TO DENVER AND WAS DRIVING DOWN I-25 LUCKILY ON THE SIDE LANE WHEN STEERING LOCKED UP AGAIN AND THIS TIME I WENT INTO A SNOWBANK , STOPPED INCHES BEFORE HITTING RETAINING WALL. SHUT IT OFF AND STARTED IT AND HAD STEERING AGAIN. TOOK CAR BACK TO DEALER AND HAD FOR 3 WEEKS AND SAYS IT'S FIXED, BUT WON'T TELL IF IT IS GOING TO RUN OFF THE ROAD AGAIN. THIS VEHICLE HAS ALMOST KILLED MY FAMILY AND I TWICE. *NM
