took the vehicle to the dealer on 2/27/25 on invoice # chcs169951 and they have refused to fix the issue. i was given a proof of correction paper without doing any or the work and told that they are no responsible to fix the issue because it is an older vehicle. I have been trying to register the vehicle but am unable to because it will not pass the brake and light inspection. I was told that it would take 2-3 weeks to update the system and has now been close to 2 months and still no update.
When I go to get fuel, the tank takes the fuel slower than it should. And if does start to accept the fuel at the pace in which the pumps deliver it, it then overflows.
HEAD BOLTS THAT BREAK AND TRANSMISSION STUCK IN FOURTH GEAR AND NOW CAM SHAFT SENSORS HAD REPAIRS DONE BUT IT KEEPS HAPPENING BOUGHT TRUCK NEW IN MOTION EVERY TIME THIS TIME IT WAS ON 1/22/21 OTHERS IN 17-18-19-21

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE CONTACT STARTED TO SMELL FUEL FUMES INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THROUGH THE REARVIEW MIRROR, HE ALSO NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE 4WD WARNING INDICATOR WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER, EXITED THE VEHICLE, AND NOTICED SMOKE AND A FUEL LEAK ON THE REAR TIRES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE REAR AXLE AND REAR WHEEL SEAL NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,792.

WHEN I START MY 2010 RAM 1500 THERE IS A LOUD TICK COMING FROM THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD, FROM THE BOLTS BREAKING DUE TO THE MATERIAL USED. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE OF THE RISK OF EXHAUST FUMES ENTERING THE CAB THROUGH THE VENTS.
WHEN PUTTING GAS IN VEHICLE, THERE IS NOT A SHUT OFF FOR THE GAS TO STOP RUNNING ONCE IT IS FULL. GAS POURS BACK AT YOU EVERY TIME, CAN NOT DEPEND ON ANY SHUT OFF. I PURCHASED THIS FROM A DEALER IN MAY, AND THERE IS NOT A RECALL ON THE BOOKS, THAT I CAN SEE, BUT WHEN YOU GO ONTO THE WWW, PEOPLE ARE TALKING ABOUT IT.

WHEN FUELING THE TANK IT OVERFLOWS EVERYTIME. ONLY OWNED IT A WEEK AND BOUGHT FROM DEALER. THE SALES GUY ALSO MENTIONED GETTING GAS ON HIMSELF WHEN HE FILLED IT BEFORE WE BOUGHT IT. DIDNT KNOW IT WAS A PERMANENT THING! FILLED AT DIFFERENT GAS STATIONS. DOES THE SAME AT EVERY STATION. HAZARDOUS. GETTING GAS ON US. SAW ON LINE THAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUE.

THE FAILURE PROGRESSED TO THE POINT THAT IT COULD AFFECT COMPONENTS ATTACHED TO THE FRAME PERTAINING TO THE FUEL TANK. THE DEALER (BUTTON CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM, 1220 E BLVD ST, KOKOMO, IN 46902, (765) 360-4063) WAS ABLE TO VERIFY THAT THE MANUFACTURER WOULD PROVIDE A SOLUTION; HOWEVER, THE PART WAS ON A NATIONAL BACKORDER. THE DEALER DID NOT HAVE A DATE OR TIME FRAME FOR WHEN THE PART WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE FROM THE MANUFACTURER. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT LATER RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF AN UNKNOWN MANUFACTURER RECALL FOR THE FUEL SYSTEM CONCERNING THE FUEL TANK AND RAILINGS. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE REMAINED PARKED DUE TO THE FAILURE AND THERE WAS NO SPECIFIED TIME FRAME FOR WHEN THE PARTS WOULD ARRIVE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS A KNOWN ISSUE. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE NOT AVAILABLE.
THE BRACKET THAT HOLDS THE FRONT STRAP FOR THE GAS TANK RUSTED THROUGH CAUSING THE STRAP TO FALL AND THE GAS TANK TO HANG DOWN OFF THE TRUCK. HAD THE BACK STRAP FAILED TOO IT WOULD HAVE CAUSED SERIOUS ISSUES....UPDATED 12/11/17 *BF *JS

DURING FUEL FILL GAS WILL OVERFLOW OUT THE FUEL TANK AFTER THE GAS NOZZLE CLICKS OFF. THIS LEAVES A LARGE PUDDLE OF GAS ON THE GROUND AND ALL OVER THE SIDE OF THE TRUCK AND IF I WAS STANDING NEAR THE NOZZLE I WOULD BE FULL OF GAS ON MY CLOTHING. THIS HAPPENS AT EVERY FILL UP NO MATTER THE GAS STATION. SEEN DOZENS OF ON-LINE INFORMATION INCLUDING YOU TUBE VIDEOS OF EXACT SAME ISSUE WITH OTHER SAME YEAR MODEL TRUCKS.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL TANK HAD A BIG HOLE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. 2010 DODGE RAM 1500 HEMI TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEED WHEN INSTANTLY THE GAUGE CLUSTER STARTED ACTING ERRATIC. FIRST THE TIRE PRESSURE DISPLAY SAID THAT DIFFERENT TIRES WERE SHOWING A MULTITUDE OF DIFFERENT PRESSURES THE GAS GAUGE STARTED FLICKERING BETWEEN FULL AND EMPTY AS WELL AS THE STOP WORKING OF THE SPEEDOMETER AND TACHOMETER AIR-CONDITIONED, POWER STEERING AND CONTINUAL WINDSHIELD WIPER ON EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE OFF AT THE SWITCH. RADIO INTERMITTENTLY ON AND OFF AND ABS AND AIRBAG LIGHT ON AND OFF INTERMITTENTLY. ALL FOUR WINDOWS FAIL TO OPERATE AND INTERIOR LIGHTING WILL NOT COME ON. GAUGE FUNCTION FLUCTUATES EVERY COUPLE SECOND.

I WAS DRIVING HOME CHRISTMAS DAY 2014. TRUCK JUST SHUT OFF IN MIDDLE OF ROAD AND CAME TO A REST. I DID MANAGE TO RESTART IT AND WHEN I DID I RECEIVED ALL KINDS OF ERROR LIGHTS. THEN TRUCK SHUT DOWN AGAIN. HAD IT TOWED TO GARAGE AND MECHANIC DETERMINED IT WAS A BAD FUEL PUMP. NOW ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS STAY ON AND WILL NOT RESET. SERV 4WD LIGHT. TRAC CONTROL LIGHT. REVERSE ASSISTANCE SENSORS ARE INOPERATIVE. THE FUEL CAP LIGHT. ABS LIGHT. TWO TPMS LIGHTS. EPS SYSTEM LIGHT. CRUISE CONTROL DOES NOT WORK.... AND TRUCK CONSTANTLY SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING. MY DODGE RAM 1500 (2010) HAD ITS FUEL PUMP FAIL. I WOULD LOSE POWER WHILE DRIVING AND HAD DIFFICULTY STARTING. IN ORDER TO START THE VEHICLE, I WOULD HAVE TO TURN THE IGNITION TO THE ON POSITION, WAIT A MOMENT OR TWO, THEN START THE TRUCK. IF I DIDN'T WAIT THE TRUCK WOULDN'T START. SOMETIMES WHILE ACCELERATING FROM A STOP OR EVEN TO PASS, I WOULD NOTICE A LACK OF POWER AS IF THE ENGINE WAS STARVING FOR FUEL. TWO OR THREE TIMES IT WOULD STALL WHILE WAITING AT AN INTERSECTION FOR THE LIGHT TO CHANGE TO GREEN. I TOOK MY TRUCK TO A DODGE DEALER FOR THE PROBLEM AND WAS TOLD IT WAS BECAUSE THE FUEL PUMP ONLY LASTS 4 TO 5 YEARS AND THAT WAS WHY IT FAILED. I HAD TO PAY TO HAVE IT REPLACED. SINCE I DIDN'T HAVE OVER $800.00 I HAD TO PURCHASE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY PLAN IN ORDER TO GET IT CHANGED. *TR
