Imediately following z46 recall my vehicle lost all motive power on the interstate. No warning lights etc. Dealer who performed recall took no responsibility and explained my engine has seized. My research has determined this.is common when the recall is not.properly.performed. I have documented evidence proving the recall was not performed. Dealer suggested I contact the manufacturer. Manufacturer has not helped and Dealer takes no responsibility. I've been told to replace the engine is 20 to 30 thousand dollars. This.is aproximately.what is still owed on the vehicle. The BBB and the aohio attorney generals office claim they cannot compel anyone to take responsibility. What am I supposed to do? I am a paying client to eveyone.envolved and now I'm supposed to countinue paying for a vehicle that is totaled. The manufacturer recomended I see another dealer. The next 2 closest dealerships refused to get involved saying it was the original servicing dealers and manufacturers problem and they did not want to be involved. Upon asking.the manufacturer who to take it to they claimed they cannot force there dealers to service a vehicle.

My 2015 Chrysler Ram EcoDiesel 4x4 has a major safety defect that nearly caused a catastrophic accident and has left me traumatized. The vehicle is currently inoperable, sitting in my driveway with a dead battery and what sounds like a thrown rod after breaking down for the second time on the highway. While driving on Highway 101 in California, towing a horse trailer with live horses, the truck suddenly lost power without warning. I was left struggling to control the vehicle and avoid a crash in high-speed traffic. This was one of the most terrifying experiences of my life. Losing engine power with a loaded trailer on a busy highway could easily have resulted in fatalities — not just for me and my animals, but for other drivers on the road. I was horrified and shaken, and I continue to suffer PTSD from the event. This is the second time the vehicle has broken down under dangerous circumstances. The failure was life-threatening, and it is obvious to me that the engine has now suffered catastrophic internal damage (likely a thrown rod). Recall Issues: I had already received a notice of Recall 22V-406, but when I contacted Chrysler, I was told the parts were not available and they would not buy back my truck. The repair was not released yet, leaving me to continue driving a vehicle I already knew had a serious defect. This delay put me, my animals, and the public at unacceptable risk.

I was resuming speed after a toll, my 2015 Ram Eco Diesel 1500 lost all momentum, threw an alarm to service the Electronic Throttle with a red lightning bolt framed by two red lines, and I limped to the shoulder with several semi close on my tail. After researching I shut off for a minute, removed key, opened door, then restarted. The engine struggled and revved several times before starting. The dealership confirmed the Tone Wheel is cracked in several places and is failing of not fault of mine. She is still there with the parts on order. This is related to already completed recall W58, although should be addressed by W68. I should not be penalized for taking good care of my truck. On Friday, August 15, 2025, while leaving a grocery store, my wife pointed out that a part was hanging under my truck. After checking, I noticed that it was one of the two straps that supports the gas tank. It had dropped 3 inches from its original location and was only supported by one strap (the rear one). I temporarily attached the tank with a strap to secure it. At home, I checked the cause of this damage. I noticed that the area (the spacer on the frame, which has a "T"-shaped notch) where the tank strap is held (the end of the strap is "T"-shaped) is rotten, and the end of the strap has passed through. I didn't check the other attachment, but it could have the same problem because it's the same design. This part of the spacer is welded to the frame tightly and fills with dirt and water, causing corrosion.

On July 2, 2021 my 2015 ecodiesel was given a software flash due to recall W58. This recall deals with the delamination of the tone wheel/CSPS and makes the vehicle rapidly lose acceleration. Instead of being an actual fix, the software simply put a band aid on the issue, by rerouting the tone wheel and sending to a different sensor. On [XXX] it was raining and when I tried to accelerate while in heavy city traffic, the truck lost acceleration rapidly and flashed service electronic throttle control and went into limp mode. I narrowly avoided being in a collision and limped the truck to a medical center parking lot (Koke Mill Medical in Springfield, IL). The truck wouldn't stay running and it wouldn't restart without great difficulty. I was able to limp it to a repair shop (Ruggless Automotive 3417 Constitution Dr, Springfield IL 62711 (217) 787-5484) I have a scanner and I scanned the truck and got code P0336 crankshaft position sensor. Ruggless Automotive ALSO got that code and got code P26AB (yet another recall issue with the EGR cooler recall VB1) Ruggless advised waiting for parts. Talked to Green Dodge about the issues, they didn't want to fix because out of warranty. I contacted FCA/Stellantis. I was given a case [XXX] and told to take to dealership for diagnostics and if diagnostics showed it was to do with the recall issues, that FCA would pay for repairs. Truck was towed BY ME to dealership July 3rd. Green Dodge called me and said they couldn't do any diagnostics because supposedly the battery was dead/bad/unable to be jump started. They tried to make me purchase a new battery from them or else they wouldn't do the diagnostics I need for FCA. While driving, I suddenly heard a loud metal on metal grinding noise. After getting off the road, other drivers stopped to report that there was a large "shower of sparks" coming from beneath my vehicle. Upon further inspection, I found that the forward fuel tank strap frame mount had completely corroded through. This resulted in the tank strap dislodging, and the front end of the fuel tank falling to just a few inches from the road. Meanwhile, the tank pushed the metal fuel strap against the vehicle's main drive shift, grinding away at the drive shaft like a metal lathe and creating the large shower of sparks directly next to the fuel tank. This was a known defect in the 2008 to 2012 models of this same truck that was the subject of recall. However, for my 2015 truck it is merely a "service bulletin" for the identical defect.

On about [XXX], I was driving and my engine felt like it missed and my check engine light came on and a message appeared telling me to get remote throttle serviced. The truck began to drive badly and lack of acceleration made it difficult to maneuver in traffic. The truck was very difficult to start and unsafe to pull into traffic due to lagging ability to accelerate. I took it to a Firestone and they pulled the codes and said the crankshaft sensor and crank tone wheel had failed and needed replacing. I decided to take it to a RAM dealer in Franklin TN to confirm the diagnosis. After about a week, they confirmed and said crankshaft sensor and reluctor wheel needed to be replaced. I asked them if it would be covered under the recall (FCA W58) on the known defect of the crank tone wheel delaminating. When the recall occurred, I had the temporary solution of a computer flash done back in 2021, but the actual defective part was not replaced. They reported back to me that the cost of the repair would not be covered. They said my truck was too old, but the defect was discovered while my truck was still under warranty. Also, under a previous FCA lawsuit, they were made to pay truck owners money and extend their warranty. How can they get away with not having to rectify a known defect without fixing the problem? The computer flash simply allowed the vehicle to continue to operate, but it was by no means safe to operate on public streets in traffic. Will the NHTSA make FCA actually fix this problem? Last week, On Thursday, [XXX], at 8 am, I dropped off my vehicle (VIN# [XXX] ) at the local Ram dealership in Houston for performing the recall issued three years ago, on Jun 09, 2022, Manufacturer Recall Number Z46 , NHTSA Recall Number22V-406 . I have been reading online that there are no parts available since the recall was issued in 2022 and I did not want to wait, as this truck is my work vehicle. In March of 2025, almost three years later, I figured that the parts availability issues would be solved by Stellantis/RAM. I was wrong. My local RAM dealer service department (Mac Haik RAM, 12111 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079) informed me today, a week after the vehicle was dropped off, that they are not able to complete the recall because parts are in backorder. The check engine light has been on and the code and a message of fuel sender unit failure is on the message being displayed. The vehicle always shows empty even when filled. I never know if the the car is going to run out of fuel while I'm diving it on the road or highway. I have to keep very good records to estimate how many miles I'll get before needing to refill. I've seen recalls from other car makers for the same problem.

I looked under the truck before a long trip and found a gas tank strap hanging oddly. Upon looking further into discovered the mount has rusted through. Doing some online research I have found this is a fairly common issue.

22V-406 high pressure fuel pump ("HPFP") safty recall not completed as of Oct 7th 2024 vehicle had unexpected loss of motive power 20V-475 loss of crankshaft position I have loss of crankshaft position resulted in engine stall, as well as loss of the ability to restart the engine 19V-757 Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) i have Coolant loss, coolant color Turing brown/black, major build up of soot buildup in intake manifold and EGR. Driving and vehicle lost all power fuel light came on, throttle control light came on, low oil light came on, speed dropped to 5mph when I was doing 55mph. Was able to coast vehicle off the road almost getting hit from behind by a semi truck. Dodge Dealership sold me truck November 2023 and said there was NO safty recalls open or uncompleted. But as I am now finding out the recall for the high pressure fuel pump was infact OPEN and uncompleted dealership even singed a document stating this vehicle has no recalls. Dealership says recalls 20V-475 and 19V-757 have already been done but getting the same issues as to why the recalls where issued. Now my vehicle has been at the dealership for a month and has yet to even be looked at and the dealership and Dodge refuse to provide a loaner vehicle and tell me to go rent one. I can't afford to rent a car it's over $300 a week without rental car insurance. I'm on limited income disabled veteran I have attempted to contact dodge ram corporate office and only get people that are overseas at a call center that provide no help and refuse to have someone at dodge ram corporate contact me Would provide photos of everything but unable to get the vehicle due to its in the back yard of the dealership.

No power going up hills, won't shift going down hill, park sensors lights come on, zero oil pressure then Electronic Throttle. From what I seen on internet and from others with the same issues it's due to high pressure fuel pump which has a recall on it. But when it was sold by the dealership in November 2023 the dealership said there was NO open recalls. But then I find out there is an open recall for the high pressure fuel pump. Now this issues keeps going on. And today September 6 2024 my vehicle lost all power and the fuel light and Electronic throttle Warning light came on and if I had not been in the right Lane and a turn in I would have been hit from behind!

Fuel Tank strap (Front) disconnected from the frame slot it is attached to. The frame slot is completely rusted out. This was a recall on earlier models and amended to include other years including my year (2015). Yet it does not come up as a recall for my vehicle. I've seen online that this is a common problem with the Ram 1500. Vehicle mileage is 50,575.

My truck has an issue with reading how much gas is in the truck. When I fill it up it goes to full but after about 40 miles it shows empty and the check engine light comes on. The vehicle has about 66500 miles on it. Talked to the dealer and was told it is a common problem with this vehicle.

Safety recall 22V-406 was issued over two years ago, on 6-9-2022. The manufacturer is negligent, in that it has not addressed the problem and repaired the vehicle in a timely manner. The local dealer indicates they have no idea when the manufacturer will attempt to address the problem.

My Ram 1500 Ecodiesel was reprogrammed by Henkle Auto dealership in Battle Creek Mi. It now has a dead fuel pedal when cold and will then lunge all at once. I also lost 4 mpg. I have contacted the dealer and Ram Chrysler, and they said that there is nothing they can do to undue an updated ECM program. My case number from Chrysler is [XXX]. Fuel pump gauge not working. Fuel Gauge has failed to acknowledge any gas. It came on and off for a few days now for 2 days straight it stays on with a low fuel level and the gauge read zero.

My truck has been at Dodge in fort Pierce Florida for recall number z46 and y63 for 8 months I have went over and above and beyond to call and try to get it switched over they're saying it's registered in Canada I'm getting no help they're acting like it's my fault they're not offering me a rental car or a loaner car I've lost my job I just need help getting something done maybe then purchasing it back I filed case numbers with no response I need help please

Dodge sent us a safety recall in May 2021 for Crankshaft Positioner Sensor and Toner Wheel faulty part. We took it to our local dodge dealership, they ran a computer test and said "it's fine" and sent us on our way. The car involuntarily stalled a few times while driving it the past few years. In February 2024, we took the vehicle in (AGAIN) to have the same issue looked at and they said the part needed to be replaced and said dodge will not pay for it and charged us $2900. Dodge is refusing to take accountability for this original safety recall and we are very concerned that our family was put at risk many times while driving this vehicle. Dodge new this part was a faulty part and refused to replace it.

I’ve been tryin to get my truck fixed as the pump is making squeals and tapping. I’m afraid of the damage it’s causing my engine and don’t understand why they can’t fix it when they have the parts.

My Ram 1500 has lost power several times while cruising at 55+. The first time was related to recall W58. My crank sensor became delaminated and caused my truck to completely die. After months of waiting I finally received my truck back, however, the recall is still open due to there being no fix. Just a few months later my truck died twice on the highway. This time it was due to recall Z46. After being sent from one person to the next all I am left with is I am on a list that is about 2 years behind for replacement parts.

The HPFP failed 9/15/23 in my ecodiesel traveling down the freeway in three lane traffic. I lost all acceleration , power. no brakes or power steering, I was nearly killed by several semi's because I lost all speed. It nearly caused a massive accident potentially killing me and several others in the process. I had seconds to react it left me traumatized from the event. I had to call a tow truck- which cost me $300- They left me stranded at the dealership in a different state hours from home with nothing. I was without my truck for a week. It was then taken back to my homestate and taken to a local dealership- in which they had it for a few weeks and said it was a dirty radiator filter charging $240 . I had my truck back for 4 days before it started doing the same exact thing and had to be taken back to the dealership. They then admitted it was the recall after all and said I was not allowed to remove it off the property but there was no fix. I was not given a loaner vehicle- I was not helped in any way- My truck is my own vehicle- Im a single female that commuted back and forth to work an hour away from home. They had my truck for 13 weeks- in which they said they did a work around - within 5 minutes of taking it- lost acceleration again, hesitating, multiple issues. Tried to get it back to the dealership- drove it a few times and again multiple issues- hesitations, no acceleration. Was in route to take it back to another diesel mechanic and it completely died and had to have it towed again which was another $500. The next day they said they couldn't fix it and it had to be put on a trailer and taken back over to the other dealership. They DID NOT FIX THE ISSUE!!!! They keep charging all this money- and my truck is still unsafe!!! I lost my job because of it. I have received zero help and absolutely no compensation. That truck is going to kill me or someone else in the process.

There is a safety recall on this vehicle, recall number 22V-406, issued in June 2022, which still has no remedy. We are concerned about the safety of this vehicle and my wife has had many instances where she was trying to accelerate into traffic, and the vehicle stalled. This has been an ongoing issue, and we are afraid one day this will lead to an accident. I believe 2 years is more than enough time for a remedy to this to have been found. I have spoken to the service department at my local Ram dealership, and all they tell me is that the parts are not available. This is unacceptable, and we need this resolved.

Driving down the freeway Without warning vehicle dashboard started throwing out all kind of code warnings. Vehicle went into limp mode. Vehicle started on fire. Dealership states the blue def system was at fault. A problem this same dealer fixed just last year. At a cost of over $3000. This time with the fire the bill is over $8000. Not to mention the def system recall from a few years back where these components were suppose to be under an extended warranty. What is a consumer to do. Fuel sensor failure warning w/ accompanying check engine light. Fuel gauge non-functional. I ran code on it (forget the exact code) but YouTube mechanic showed how to fix by changing out the Fuel Sensor, which I did. Engine light went away. Been fine for a month and a half. It's now back to doing it again. Fuel Sensor Failure. I can't keep replacing these things, we're on a tight budget. I don't want to run out of gas somewhere due to not knowing how much I have.

Good morning! I own a 2015 Ram Ecodiesel. I am not the original owner. I am in California. The truck is not under warranty and the FCC will not help me nor the dealership. A few months ago I was towing my horses in a trailer and the truck started to lose acceleration, started to over heat, black smoke was coming out from under the hood, and it almost lost power going up a hill. It was very scary and it almost caused an accident and my horses were terrified. I barely got it to drive up the hill and pulled over to safe place. The truck was smoking black smoke, smelled terrible, and we felt in danger. I took truck to dealership in San Luis Obispo CA. It was diagnosed with a bad intake manifold, bad fuel lines, bad egr cooler. The estimate in costs was about $7,000. Luckily my husband is a mechanic and he performed the repairs. Than the truck was back up and running, no more black smoke, and it sounded better. On [XXX] I was hauling my horses and small only 2 horse trailer, same trailer, it’s small, not oversized or too big for my truck….. the truck started to lag, lose acceleration and drive slow, then it started a knocking sound….. then a high pitch noise….. this was terrifying as we were on a very busy freeway. I pulled over and the engine started to smoke and make horrible noises like knocking and high pitch screeches. My husband and I and our two horses were once again stranded with a broken down truck. This time on a very busy freeway, highway [XXX] in California. The truck was towed to the dealership that day. We were stranded for hours with horses and no water on side of a freeway. The truck was diagnosed by Santa maria, CA dodge ram Chrysler with a blown up engine, that must be completely replaced. The repair is $20,000 or more. This is a common issue in these trucks. This truck is dangerous and needs to be recalled and taken off the road. All of these engines are bad and they should all be bought back. They were ruined after the emissions scandal. On August 27, 2023, on my home my 2015 RAM 1500 Eco Diesel lost all power at 70 mph and the "Electronic Throttle Control" light came on. I was able to get my truck home in "limp mode" and had it towed to the dealership the next day (August 28, 2023). Two weeks later, the dealership called and said that my truck had "fuel contamination" because there were "shavings and rust" in my fuel filter housing and it would cost $21k to replace the entire fuel system. I asked for a more thorough diagnostic because there is the open recall (Z46) on the vehicle related to the high-pressure fuel pump that will leave debris in the system. They then claimed that a "Stalantis engineer" looked at it and put a restriction on the vehicle to not be covered under recall warranty due to "fuel contamination." I asked for a detailed diagnostic report which they could not provide. I then filed a claim through Stalantis and went through a 2-month process and 4 different case managers who ultimately claimed that they couldn't cover it because of the fuel contamination restriction. So, I then filed an insurance claim who did their own investigation, including collecting a fuel sample from the truck tank, investigating the last fuel station I used, and interviewing the dealership. They concluded that the issue was due to the recall (specifically, the fuel pump leaving debris in my fuel system) and was NOT external fuel contamination. They also claimed that the dealership would not provide a diagnostic report. Consequently, this could not be covered as an insurance claim and should be covered under vehicle warranty. All that said, I have no other option but to file this complaint as Stalantis has not been willing to even consider covering the vehicle despite the open recall, and an independent investigation. It is also my understanding that there is no approved fix for this recall, however I've been without a vehicle or a path forward for 3-months and feel Stalantis owes its customers a solution.

While driving on the highway between Nenana and Fairbanks, AK, on August 9, 2023, I attempted to pass a slow moving RV towing a trailer. While in the passing lane, I accelerated and my vehicle suddenly loss power. I was forced to swerve out of the passing lane to avoid a collision with with oncoming traffic and the vehicle being passed. After that event, the vehicle would not exceed 3000rpms or 35mph up hills. Immediately after the event, the service engine light came on and the dash showed engine error codes. I took the vehicle to the dealer (Gene's Chrysler in Fairbanks Alaska). After inspection, they indicate that the magnetic surface of the engine tone wheel was delaminating and this initiated the sensor to cause a "limp mode" (mode that limits vehicle's speed). After that event, the vehicle also had trouble starting as though it was not receiving sufficient fuel. The dealer indicated that my vehicle's vin was not covered under the recall even though the problem matched NHTSA campaign number: 23V411. Stellantis’ own number for this recall is 66A. This recall is an expansion of recall 20V475. I feel that my vehicle needs to be added to this recall. Without my vehicle covered under this recall, my family is incurring the costs of a rental car until the new part arrives. The vehicle was dropped off at the dealer on August 23. The part is delayed and expected on October 15 (nearly a two month wait because of a vehicle defect that effects safety). The dealer indicated my vehicle is unsafe to drive. Why isn't my vehicle part of this recall? It is clearly the exact problem identified in the recall notice.

COMPONENT: FRONT FUEL TANK STRAP FRAME "T-SLOT" BRACKET CORRODED TO THE POINT WHERE METAL WON'T HOLD THE LOAD OF THE FUEL TANK AND FRONT FUEL TANK STRAP IS DETACHED CAUSING THE FUEL TANK TO DROP. SAFETY CONCERNS: IF THE FUEL TANK WERE TO DROP AND CONTACT THE GROUND, THE FUEL TANK MAY DETACH FROM THE VEHICLE CAUSING ENGINE STALL, AND IN THE EVENT OF CRASH, THE FUEL TANK MAY NOT REMAIN SECURED TO THE VEHICLE, POSSIBLY CAUSING A FUEL LEAK, FUEL LEAK INCREASE THE RISK OF A FIRE. THIS PROBLEM WAS DOCUMENTET ON RECALL # 18V160000 AND MY VEHICLE HAS EXACT CONDITION (CORROSION CAUSES FUEL TANK STRAP FRAME BRACKET TO BREAK ALLOWING FUEL TANK TO DROP) BUT FOR SOME REASON MY VEHICLE IT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL. NO INSPECTION BY OFFICIAL AUTHORITIES WAS PERFORMED ON MY VEHICLE AS OF THIS TIME - AT THE SAM TIME I DON'T FEEL SAFE TO DRIE THIS VEHICLE IN THIS CONDITION. THIS OCCURED RECENTLY WITHOUT ANY WARNING SIGNS.

The vehicle has experienced multiple Turbo underboost code causing the vehicle to be put into limp mode without any explanation, Rhyme or Reason. The vehicle once this code is tripped places the vehicle into limp mode at which time virtually all power is lost this is now happened three different times with no explanation completely randomly the last time was when pulling a trailer uphill resulting in a near crash experience and being stranded on the side of the highway I had to force reset the computer by cycling the ignition to get the code to go away there was no problems prior to this code popping up or after. When this occurs it can be extremely dangerous when at highway speeds considering that the vehicle goes into limp mode and you're no longer able to go more than 10 miles an hour let alone if you're pulling a trailer it's virtually impossible to move the vehicle and if you're going uphill on a two-lane Highway with fully loaded 18 wheelers behind you at 65 mph and you all of a sudden come to a crawl you can see how this poses a major risk for injury or accident

I was pulling out from my street that connects to a two lane highway. From my street you can see if cars are coming from quite a distance away. There was a semi truck in the distance going east bound in the direction I needed to torn into. There was absolutely enough room for me to merge out into the east bound lane without the semi truck even being affected. I was now about a 1/4 mile down the road and the semi was still aways back. Then, my truck started to sputter and not accelerate and as this a two lane road there at this point was nowhere to pull over. The semi was now coming up quick due to loss of power in my truck. I turned on my hazards by this time he was close and had to make an evasive lane change to avoid running into the back of me. Luckily, there was no on coming traffic. This is not the first incident of my truck losing power and almost being rear-ended. I purchased the truck from a dealer in December of 2022. They have not been of any help, and frankly they are not willing to do a thing to help. I'm at a loss and have no idea what to do. I feel I was sold a truck with a potentially dangerous recall that can cause a major car accident which could result in death. There is no resolve for this recall at this time. This recall not only puts my family at risk, it endangers the general public.

WHILE MOVING TO SOUTH CAROLINA i NOTICED THAT SOMETHING WAS HANGING, A WIRE OR SOME TYP IF LINE, AS I CRAWLED UNDER THE TRUCK, I FOUND THAT IT WAS THE FUEL TANK STRAP. THE STRAP HAD PULLED OUT FROM THE FRAME THAT WAS CORRODED. I HAVE ALWAYS WASHED THE UNDER CARRIAGE COMING FROM MASSACHUSSETTS AND THE ROAD SALT. AT THE PRESENT TIME I AM USING A TIE DOWN STRAP TO SECURE IN PLACE. SEARCHING THE INTERNET, I FOUND THAT THERE IS SOME TYPE OF RECALL BUT NEVER RECIEVED ANYTHING IN WRITTING.

I purchased this truck brand new and am the original owner. This truck has been in the dealers procession probably over 50 times and in the shop probably close to 200 days. Most all repairs have been about computer, smog, or other engine problems. Chrysler has extended my warranty out into 2025 and extended the miles to 125k . I currently have 82k miles. It just was in the dealer 1 month ago and currently has check engine light on again. They state it is for a recall they have no current fix for and it sounds like their not even working on one. I was told that this years model with the 3.0 diesel will be the last. I went to then ask for a trade in value from a Ram Chrysler dealer, and was told they could only give me low auction value. I have an additional over $7k in improvements that I will loose. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you

I believe that Ram and It’s parent company have intentionally not provided a recall fix for recall z46. If Ram refuses to provide a fix for the problem, and I’m forced to drive the vehicle that could stall and crash at any time is absolutely a safety hazard. I’ve contacted Ram cares and was told that if I’m not comfortable driving the vehicle, to just park it and wait for a fix. This company not only provides faulty and unsafe vehicles but then forces its owner to drive them with no fix provided.

The contact owns a 2015 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving up an incline at various speeds, the vehicle would jerk and hesitate as the shift to park(P) warning message appeared on the instrument panel. The contact also stated that the vehicle would stall upon the depression of the accelerator pedal. Over time, the failure worsened as the vehicle would fail to accelerate above 35 MPH. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V406000(Fuel System, Diesel) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. Two dealers(Ourisman Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram,12430 Auto Drive, Clarksville, MD 21029 and Antwerpen Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, 6440 Baltimore National Pike, Catonsville, MD 21228) were both contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000. VIN tool confirms parts not yet available.

Bought the truck July 2022 and since then its been problems with stalling. The vehicle cuts off driving down the road. It can happen once a day or 5 times and restart. It was harder and harder to restart and finally it down not restart at all. Everytime it has a different fuel code. Started with the gas cap, then fuel pressure sensor, then driver module, and fuel pump codes. All parts as well as harnesses have been replaced.

Driving approximately 80 mph on the interstate when the truck completely shut off-total power failure. I was lucky and able to pull off, once I took the key out the truck started. Took to the dealer who stated they couldn’t duplicate the issue. 6 months later driving on side street same issue, truck shut down while driving with complete power failure. Reported issue to dealer who said call Fiat Chrysler. Spoke to Fiat Chrysler stated no fix currently available, no rental car or loaner would be provided despite this truck being unsafe to drive.

The check engine light 100% came on immediately & has been on & off intermittently until about a week ago where it is lit continuously. I am no longer able to drive my vehicle which is needed desperately for work. I immediately reached out to Dodge Ram who states there will not be an available repair for this recall until 2023. Called local dealer Fury motors in Stillwater, MN where I am currently and was told by service dept that there won't be anything FCA will do before 1st qtr of 2023. I am stranded here with a disabled vehicle. I live in Colorado.

Driving on interstate 65 mph there was a sudden loud grinding sound from under my truck. I pulled over and found my gas tank hanging . I was able to slowly get to and area where i could safely see what happened after looking at gas tank i found that the front gas strap rusted threw the frame and the full gas tank fell down and was hitting the drive shaft. I was able to jack up the tank and put a strap around it and drive home 183 miles . I was lucky it did not hit the road as the tank was full of gas.

So I purchased without that information being disclosed to me and know they are refusing a warrantied repair on the emissions component. Even thought the settlement covers said part.

Since purchasing the truck early this year, the engine has stalled while in motion 5 times. Each time I was able to shift into neutral and start the engine again, and stay in motion. I have taken the truck to 3 different mechanics and none are able to figure out the source of the stall. My safety is at risk because engine control is lost while in motion, if I had to accelerate to avoid collision I would be unable to. Although the engine has started again every time, I am afraid that one time it might not. No warning lamps have come on and no engine codes are available, the truck makes no record of the sudden loss of motive power.

Three time now a high pressure fuel line has cracked. I do not have the lines but have two dealer documentations of the failure. I would say that our safety was severly compromised as there is no warning light and fuel is leaking like crazy. The failure was notice all three times by watching the fuel gauge move like a speedometer and then seeing a vapor trail out the side mirrors. The vehicle was coated in diesel fuel on all three occurances. Dealers do not seem to think there is anything wrong....just bad luck. First occurance was 05/15/2018 Second occurance was 09/17/2019 Latest occurance was 08/09/2021 Vehicle was taken in 10/02/2018 because the smell of diesel was in the cab of the truck. All occurance are documented by a dealer except for the first. A small shop soldered the line so we could get home.

JUST TO MAKE SURE THAT NOTHING ELSE WAS WRONG, WE GOT A DIAGNOSIS FROM O'RILEYS & AUTO ZONE; THE O2 SENSORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. SO WE DECIDED TO SWITCH OUT THE O2 SENSORS AND THE FUEL CAP. THEN AFTER A WEEK, THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME BACK ON AGAIN. SO WE GOT ANOTHER DIAGNOSIS TO FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM, IT DETECTED AN EVAPORATIVE EMISSION SYSTEM LEAK (VERY SMALL LEAK). THEN THE FOLLOWING WEEKEND, WE TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP TO SEE IF THEY CAN FIX THE PROBLEM. THERE WAS NO MECHANIC ON DUTY AS THEIR AUTO DEPARTMENT WAS CLOSED. INSTEAD, WE TALKED TO THE DEALER WHO SOLD US THE VEHICLE AND HE STATED, 'YOU CAN DELETE THE MESSAGE.' HE WAS NO HELP AT ALL AND DIDN'T BOTHER TO HELP FIX THE PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, HE SAID THAT HE KNOWS A LITTLE ABOUT WORKING ON CARS, HOW TO USE THE HANDHELD DETECTOR MACHINE, AND DELETING THE CODE WOULD MAKE IT BETTER? WE WANTED THIS VEHICLE TO WORK PROPERLY NOT BY 'DELETING' (THE MESSAGE), BUT TO FIGURE OUT WHAT IS WRONG AND HOW TO GET IT FIXED. THERE IS A WAITLIST FOR AN AUTO SHOP NEARBY, DUE TO THIS PANDEMIC WE HAVE TO WAIT TO RECEIVE A CALLBACK FOR AN APPOINTMENT, AND NOW I RECEIVED A NOTIFICATION FROM CREDIT KARMA STATING TO CHECK ON THE RECALL FOR THIS USED TRUCK I OWN. FIRST WEEK OF DECEMBER 2020, I HAD A NORMAL OIL CHANGE. THE FOLLOWING DAY MY RAM IT WOULD NOT TURN OVER. IT WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL SHOP WHERE I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS THE BATTERY (EVEN THOUGH THE BATTERY WAS ONLY A YEAR OLD). FOUND MY RAM VIN HAD LONG LIST OF OPEN RECALLS. I CONTACTED DEALERSHIP. PROVIDED WITH LOANER. SERVICE ADVISER SAID TRUCK WAS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE BECAUSE OF THE EGR RECALL. A COUPLE HUNDRED MORE MILES, A FIRE ENGINE WOULD HAVE ENSUED. MY EGR HAD COMPLETELY FAILED, COOLANT HAD GOTTEN INTO MY INTAKE. PARTS WERE BACKORDERED BECAUSE MANUFACTURING OF MODS JUST BEGAN. 12/24/20 ALL RECALL MODS/REPAIRS COMPLETED. DEALERSHIP ADVISED TRUCK WAS SAFE AND OPERABLE. RECEIVED FCAS EXTENDED LIMITED WARRANTY. 2 WEEKS LATER COOLANT/WATER LEAKING FROM UNDERNEATH. FOUND THE COOLANT LEVELS DROPPED. CONTACTED DEALERSHIP, SERVICE AT THAT TIME COULD NOT FIND LEAK. TOLD TO RECHECK IN ONE WEEK. 1 WEEK LATER, LEVELS NOT LOWER BUT COOLANT FLUID SMELL AFTER SHUTTING OFF ENGINE. TOLD IT WAS NORMAL. FRIDAY 2/12/21 TRUCK STARTED IRREGULARLY AND GURGLED. FOUND COOLANT HAD DROPPED SIGNIFICANTLY BELOW THE RECOMMENDED LEVELS. BROUGHT BACK TO DEALERSHIP. BEFORE DROPPING IT OFF ANOTHER MECHANIC FOUND COOLANT LEAK DRIPPING DOWN THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE ACTUATOR AND FRONT COVER WITH TRACES OF IT COMING OUT OF THE WATER PUMP AND VALVE COVER GASKET. PUT INTO A LOANER. I WAS TOLD MY WATER PUMP FAILED. NOT COVERED UNDER NEW FCA WARRANTY. ALL RECALL REPAIRS/MODIFICATIONS DID NOT FIX ISSUES. VEHICLE REMAINED INOPERABLE AND DANGEROUS. COOLANT NEVER STOPPED LEAKING INTO INTAKE AND OTHER AREAS OF ENGINE. THE EGR IS A COMPONENT FAILED CAUSING DOMINO BREAKDOWN OF ENTIRE TRUCK ENGINE. WHEN MY DAD PUSHED THE PEDAL TO ACCELERATE, THE VEHICLE WOULD SIGNIFICANTLY LAG TO THE POINT OF NOT ACCELERATING. THIS IS A **CONTINUOUS** AND DANGEROUS CONDITION THAT WAS CAUSED BY THE FACTORY SUPPLIED SOFTWARE UPDATE. MY DAD MADE A COMPLAINT TO THE DEALER THREE HOURS AFTER THE AEM WAS UPDATED ON 5/28/19. ESPECIALLY WHEN THE ENGINE IS COLD OR NOT COMPLETELY UP TO OPERATING TEMPERATURE, I EXPERIENCE ALMOST NO THROTTLE RESPONSE WHEN PULLING OUT ONTO A HIGHWAY BY MY HOUSE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL SENSOR LEVER FAILED WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH. THE FUEL SENSOR ALARMED ALERTED THAT THE FUEL SENSOR FAILED AND THE FUEL LEVEL DISPLAYED ZERO; HOWEVER, THE CONTACT NEW THAT THE FUEL TANK WAS FULL. THE CONTACT SPOKE WITH AN UNKNOWN DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR COULD BE REPLACED WITH THE SAME PART AND WOULD BE UNDER WARRANTY FOR TWO YEARS. I OWN A 2015 RAM 1500, WHICH I PURCHASED NEW IN AUGUST OF 2015. THIS VEHICLE HAS THE ECODIESEL ENGINE AS ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT. THIS SAME ENGINE WAS THE TOPIC OF A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT FILED AGAINST FIAT/CHRYSLER. THE AGREEMENTS IN THE SETTLEMENT OF THAT SUIT REQUIRES RAM DEALERS TO UPDATE THE ENGINE SOFTWARE SO THAT IT WILL MEET THE ORIGINAL EMISSIONS SPECS. THE UPDATE IS ALSO NOT SUPPOSED TO EFFECT DRIVABILITY. MY TRUCK WAS UPDATED WITH THE V08 RECALL FOR THIS PURPOSE. SINCE THIS UPDATE, WHEN THE ENGINE IS COLD, THE TRUCK HAS A VERY LONG DELAY (4~7 SECONDS) BEFORE IT STARTS TO ACCELERATE FROM A STOP. THE ENGINE THEN ACCELERATES VERY SLOWLY. IT IS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN WHEN TRYING TO MERGE INTO TRAFFIC. ONCE THE ENGINE COMES TO FULL OPERATING TEMPERATURE, IT COMES CLOSE TO ORIGINAL PERFORMANCE, BUT IT NEVER PERFORMS AS IT DID BEFORE THE RECALL WAS DONE. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT MY LOCAL RAM DEALER HAS VERIFIED THAT THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH ANY PART ON THE ENGINE, AND THE PROBLEM IS A DIRECT RESULT OF THE V08 RECALL. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN WELL MAINTAINED AND EXHIBITED NO PROBLEMS PRIOR TO THIS RECALL. THE SETTLEMENT REQUIRED THAT THE UPDATE DID NOT EFFECT DRIVABILITY, BUT IT DID SO IN A DANGEROUS MANNER.

55K MILES ON TRUCK. ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. PULLED ERROR CODE P0463 WHICH INDICATED AN ISSUE WITH FUEL LEVEL SENSOR. LIGHT WENT OUT AFTER A FEW ENGINE STARTS. TODAY THE ENGINE LIGHT COMES BACK ON, FUEL GAUGE GOES TO EMPTY (EVEN THOUGH IT HAS 3/4 OF A TANK, AND A FUEL LEVEL SENSORS FAILURE MESSAGE DISPLAYS ON THE DASH. AN INTERNET SEARCH FOUND THAT THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM WITH THE 2014+ RAMS. THE FUEL SENDER WEARS A LINE ON THE SENSOR AND THE CONTACTS NOT LONGER MAKE CONTACT. THIS NEEDS TO BE A RECALL. THE FIX INVOLVES DRAINING THE TANK, PULLING THE BED ON THE TRUNK AND REPLACEMENT OF EITHER THE COMPLETE FUEL PUMP OR THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR. COST ESTIMATES ARE $575 AND ON UP. THIS IS RIDICULOUS FOR A TRUCK THAT'S ONLY 3YRS OLD AND 55K MILES. I HAVE A 1979 MERCURY BOBCAT AND THE GAS GAUGE STILL WORKS ON IT. THIS IS JUST A POORLY DESIGNED PART THAT CAUSES PREMATURE FAILURE.

I WAITED APPROX 5 MIN. AND WAS ABLE TO GET IT RESTARTED, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND I DROVE IT TO THE DEALER. THE MILEAGE WAS APPROX. 36,100 MILES. I HAD TO KEEP MY FINGERS CROSSED HOPING IT WOULD NOT DIE ON ME AS I DROVE ABOUT 5 MILES TO THE DEALER. MY GREATEST CONCERN IS THE SAFETY ISSUE OF COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER AND WHAT MAY HAPPEN IF YOU WERE ON A HILL OR GOING AROUND A SHARP TURN WHERE THE STEERING AND BRAKES SYSTEMS WOULD NOT OPERATE PROPERLY. MY TRUCK HAS AN ECODIESEL ENGINE. THE DEALER TOLD ME THE TRUCK HA DMULTIPLE PROBLEM CODES ON THE COMPUTER ANALYSIS. THEY TOLD ME THE PROBLEM WAS CAUSED BY LOOSE PINS IN A CONNECTOR AND A LOOSE GROUND WIRE. I NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEM LIKE THIS AND THE SUDDENNESS OF THIS PROBLEM WAS SCARY.

I TOOK TRUCK TO LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALER IN (JOE MACHENS) COLUMBIA, MO MID OCTOBER 2016. THEY FOUND NOTHING WRONG. CHRYSLER STATED THEY ARE AWARE OF THE ISSUE BUT HAVE NO FIX AS OF 11/21/2016. VERY POOR COMMUNICATIONS COMING BACK TO ME FROM CHRYSLER ENHANCED CUSTOMER SERVICE. I HAVE SPOKE WITH KAITLYN, KENYA AND VERONICA OVER THE PAST MONTH ABOUT THIS ISSUE WITH NO TIME FRAME WHEN CHRYSLER WILL HAVE IT RESOLVED. THE TRUCK KEPT TRYING TO TURN OVER BUT WAS NOT GETTING FUEL TO THE ENGINE. THE TRUCK WENT BACK TO THE DEALER THEY REPLACED THE TIPM, I I WAS TOLD NOT TO WORRY IT IS A COMMON ISSUE. I BRING THE TRUCK HOME FROM THE DEALER THAT DAY I AM NOT HAVING ANY ISSUES I THINK THE TRUCK IS BACK TO NORMAL UNTIL THE NEXT DAY. THE VERY NEXT DAY I HAVE THE SAME EXACT ISSUE THE TRUCK IS TRYING TO TURN OVER AND START BUT STARVING FOR FUEL. AFTER 15 MINUTES OF TRYING TO GET IT TO START IT FINALLY STARTS NORMAL AND I TAKE IT RIGHT BACK TO THE DEALER. THIS TIME IT HAS A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WHICH SAID IT HAD A BAD (FUEL PUMP CONTROL MODULE). THE TECH INFORMED ME THIS IS A NEW PART FOR LATE MODEL 15'S AND GOING TO BE PLACED IN ALL OF THE 16 MODEL RAMS AND THAT HE ORDERED ME A NEW ONE. I RECEIVED A CALL 2 DAYS LATER MY RAM WAS READY TO BE PICKED UP. THIS IS AT ABOUT 170 MILES ON THE TRUCK. NOW AFTER I PICK IT UP FROM THE FUEL PUMP CONTROL MODULE BEING REPLACED, THE TRUCK IS RUNNING PERFECT. JUST WHEN I AM JUST STARTING TO GET COMFORTABLE THAT THE ISSUE IS FIXED, AROUND 2500 MILES I AM DRIVING THE TRUCK I GET STUCK IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. I AM AT A STAND STILL FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES THE TRUCK BEGINS TO SPUTTER, SHAKE, AND MY RPM'S ARE VERY LOW AND IT IS MISFIRING. I AM TRYING TO GET OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND THE TRUCK WOULD NOT GO OVER 5 MILES A HOUR. AS I GET OFF THE ROAD IT SHUTS OFF AND WILL NOT START. SOUNDS THE EXACT SAME AS THE FIRST 2 TIMES. I TAKE IT TO THE DEALER AGAIN FOR A 3RD TIME AND IT HAS MISFIRE, AND FUEL CONTROL MODULE CODES AGAIN. NOW THEY ARE REPLACING THE PCM IN MY TRUCK, HOPE THIS IS IT.

SQUEEZED THE PUMP NOZZLE AGAIN, LIKE I HAVE ALWAYS DONE TO ROUND OUT THE DOLLAR AMOUNT, AND FUEL GURGLED OUT OF THE FILLER NECK AND RAN DOWN THE SIDE OF THE TRUCK. SEVERAL PEOPLE HAVE STATED THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED TO THEM ALSO ON VARIOUS YEAR RAMS AND THEY JUST GOT USED TO NOT SQUEEZING THE NOZZLE A SECOND TIME. THIS TRUCK IS EQUIPPED WITH THE 32 GALLON GAS TANK. I NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM ON MY 2012 RAM WITH THE 22 GALLON TANK.

THE TRUCK DID SHUT OFF FOR THEM AS WELL DURING THEIR TESTING. THE TRUCK IS STILL AT THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY HAVE NO EXPLANATION AS TO THE CAUSE OF THE TRUCK TURNING OFF WHILE DRIVING.
