Antilock brake system module failure. The system controls the anti-locking brake system as well as vehicle stability control, both federally mandated for this year vehicle. The ABS, stability control, and brake lights are illuminated on the dash. The message “service antilock brake system” is displayed on the message center as well as “service electronic braking system” The part is not available for inspection at this time as it is still on the vehicle and cannot be removed without causing complete failure of the braking system. The vehicle is still being driven as there is no other option at this time. Failure of the system puts anyone operating the vehicle in danger due to the ABS & Stability systems being inoperable. Failure confirmed by independent auto repair technician. ABS system reset and re-initialize without resolution of the issue. The part has not been inspected by the dealership who did not wish to inspect it as it was known issue. No accidents involved with my vehicle due to this as yet. The system failed in November 2023. I contacting the Ram dealer to replace the part and I was informed there were no modules available because it was on “Engineering Hold”. This was explained that the part had to be redesigned due to a continuous failure/problem. I was told it would be available in March 2024. Re-contacted the dealership in March 2024 and was advised it would not be until after June or July. The Part became available sometime after August 2024. However, due to the backlog of vehicles the dealership had to repair, none were available clear into 2025. As I understand, this is a widespread problem that has affected 10’s to 100’s of thousands of vehicles. Part numbers 68295368AA & 68295368AB with the redesigned part being 68295368AC. I also understand that this part has failed on the Durango, Charger, and Challenger vehicles as well.

ABS control module failed. Dash warning lights are on and error code present for ABS module failure. There is no replacement available and no one can give any kind of estimate for when the part may ever be available. They poses a huge safety risk and is a known problem in which it appears they are doing nothing about correcting.

ABC Control Module - The warning lights that are on in the Dashboard are the ABS Light, Traction Control Light and the Brake Light. When these lights came on, I took it to the Ram Dealership, and they told me that it was the ABS Control Module that was bad and needed replaced. The lights stay on all of the time, so I do not have any ABS Braking, Tractor Control or Cruise Control. Not having the ABS Braking or the Cruise Control make it very dangerous to stop or control the Truck with bad road conditions. The Dealership told me that the part that is needed is on an Enginering Hold and that they cannot order the part. The Truck was taken into the Dealership in October of 2024. They are not giving me any solutions to the problem, and I am forced to drive an unsafe vehicle until Ram takes the parts off of Enginering Hold. I am not getting any help from Ram on this issue, and they do not seem to care about my Safety. The Dealership that my truck was at is Shively Motors in Shippensburg PA

WArning light to service shifter, service electronic thorottle control and service ABS system, Computers not comunicating due to computer error, found fuse blown and high resistance in the power districution center. replaced and programmed the power distribution module to find anitlock brake model failed. Part is currenlty on engineering hold. We have not been able to ddrive the vehicle since 11/8/2024 and now they are telling us it may be February till part is realeased. There was a safety recall U07 that was repair but the ABS module is the part controlling all items that are failing.

Intermittently failure of my power steering. Fluid is full, all components appear fine when inspected by mechanic. Upon further research discovered could be an issue with the circuit board. Unable to drive my truck due to the lack of power steering causing a major potential safety issue.

My truck has been diagnosed with a faulty ABS control module over a year ago. I have made countless efforts to remedy this to no avail. The demand is so high for these and the supply is zero. The vehicle will go into limp mode every time i drive it. This poses a serious threat to my safety by not being able to get up to speed on the highway and constantly having to pull over. This is my only vehicle and has been a huge inconvenience.

The tailgate fell open while in motion. Now it won't latch closed unless I hold it up and lock it with the mechanical key or the keyfob. Online research indicates that recal # U74 should have included this truck but I was never notified. I am the second owner and acquired this truck 05/05/2018.

I have reached out to Ram dealership on 2025 S Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA 90007. I contacted them on April of 2023. I was told by the dept who order the parts that they didn't have them and didnt want to order. I contacted them again and was given the same response. I have not been notified till this date if they have my part to get replaced.

On Thursday July 18, 2024 at approximately 5:00pm. I was on my way home from picking my son up from daycare when the screen turned black and my shift knob light (above D letter) began blinking and about 10 seconds later the truck shut off completely. The key wasn’t able to be removed from the ignition. About five minutes later, I was able to turn the key and turn the truck back on. This was a frightening moment because I was crossing over railroad track when this started.

While driving, dash board alert notice of shifter requiring service appeared. Message states not to take gear out of "D" until reaching desired location or may not be able to use "D" again. Later Engine, power steering, air suspension, anti skid alerts began to appear is sequence. Cruise control and other electrical feature will not work during alert. Last anywhere between 5 and 30 or more minutes. Happened 2 days ago while on vacation road trip to Gulf. In Gulf shores now. Now I get an email from dealer about purchasing car insurance repair plan. Seems odd on the timing. Please help. Vehicle will restart and go into gears. Power steering may not work for up to five minutes. Have to stop and restart. Sporadic operation. Suspect tactics by dealer repair database to get customers to buy repair insurance or get vehicle into shop/trade for new vehicle. Please help. Do not know if recent CDK hack involves my dealer.

It keeps saying parking light out. The engine light is now on and brakes and suspension are not good. Texas Crown auto sales or Crown auto sales sold me this lemon and I have only made 6 months of payments on it. It goes to the shop and stays at least three weeks every month In 2024. I have pictures and video of everyone that worked on it and sold it to me that they fired already.

Approximately five times over six years, my 2016 Ram pickup engine will shut off on its own with no warning. It has always happened on the highway at high speed. This puts others at risk as I must put on hazard lights and coast to a stop with minimal control of the vehicle while other motorists try to avoid hitting me. The instrument lights remain on and once stopped, I can put transmission into park and restart the vehicle. I would allow an inspection at any time, but one has not been done by others yet as it is so random.

Lack of action on an existing NHTSA recall. FCAUS has failed to act on NHTSA recall 22V-406 for the high pressure fuel pump. Today I contacted the local Ram dealership service department and was told that they do not have a waitlist to fix the issue, or any idea when repair parts will become available. This is 566 days after the recall was announced in June 2022. The inaction of FCAUS/Stellantis is a danger to the livelihood and safety of owners of affected vehicles and the safety of drivers that share the roads with owners of affected vehicles.

I have replaced the heater control valve twice now and both times the seal leaks causing my transmission to over heat no heat and my engine to over heat. The first heater control valve lasted about 800 miles. The second one didn't even last a trip to work and I had to pull over

Interesting enough there was a recall for 2022-2923 rams for issues with backup camera. My 2016 has an issue where the backup camera screen gets all covered on multiple colored lines.

Nothing happened, yet. The magnetic material attached to the reluctor wheel provides a signal to the crankshaft position sensor. If this signal material is lost, the engine loses its ability to synchronize injector pulses and cam timing. This loss of crankshaft position can result in an engine stall, as well as loss of the ability to restart the engine. Safety Risk A loss of motive power can cause a vehicle crash without prior warning. . This is another recall on a new problem. The previous one dated June 09, 2022. These are grossly unsafe. And, again, there is no remedy, no parts available and unknown if or when they will be. . I'd like FCA to buy back this vehicle at the market value it was on June 09, 2022. It's wrong to have to have such serious issues wrong with a vehicle that are dangerously unsafe and potentially deadly.

I was driving down the highway at 75 mph and my truck died in the middle of the highway luckily I pushed it off to the shoulder and it wouldn’t restart had it towed to a shop where I was told the crankshaft tone ring needed to be replaced but no parts to fix it due to “back order” this has been recalled but doesn’t show a fix on my vehicle and it needs to be fixed immediately.

2 out of 3 bolts that connect the DPF to the SCR have rusted and failed at 108,000 miles (111,000 on the vehicle now). When the final bolt fails the exhaust heat destroys the DEF system resulting in several thousand dollar repairs. This should be covered under a recall for the emmissions control systems. It is a common issue on RAM trucks with the RAM ECODIESEL 3.0L engine.

While preparing to make a legal left turn from CO State Highway 69 on to Route 1A (38.30908° N 105.62018° W) my sister [XXX] was struck from behind, by a 2016 Dodge Ram Truck traveling 61-64 MPH with activated Cruise Control. In Fremont County Court hearing Jan. 30, 2021, the driver [XXX] referred to the judge, that he was unable to deactivate his 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 cruise control, thereby causing the DEATH. In open court [XXX] referred to cruise control RECALL NHTSA Campaign #18V332000 and FAILED Dodge Ram Campaign #U53 that discounted proper repairs ORDERED in the original NHTSA SAFETY RECALL #18V332000. IT APPEARS, that the disregard for proper repairs to be carried out on the cruise control system amount to MURDER of my sister [XXX] at the hands of Chrysler, Ram Trucks, and FCA US LLC. 79,000 miles on 2016 Ram 1500 eco 4x4 has differential problems and the back axle. Makes the transmission over heat. Brakes also go to the floor have to double tap on the brakes to stop.

The back up camera will not work until you start driving forward and randomly comes on while driving. A person or child could be hit by the camera not working. The radio and camera screen go on and off and acts like it is trying to reboot but does not reboot. The dealer recommends replacement at $795 which I will have to pay. My understanding there are active recalls for this on 2019 and 2020 Rams. This recall should be expanded.

RAM has teamed with T Mobile to add cell access back to the Uconnect system. 2016 models work with 3G, which was phased out 1 JAN 2022. RAM sent me a T Mobile 4G adapter that plugs into the OBD2 port under the dash. When installed, the adapter sticks out at least 3 inches below the dash and interferes with brake and accelerator. Clearly this was a rush job and not thought thru. I have been unable to get any assistance from RAM regarding this. I've included a pic of this device installed. I took my truck into the shop for an oil change and discovered that the front fuel tank strap bracketed corroded and broke. Thank goodness I took my truck into the shop where the mechanic discovered my tank hanging. This caused me to look up recalls and found this below. I am in Hawaii. How can I get this fixed. When I bought the vehicle last year it was brought to my attention that something was loose in my front end that shouldn't be by a mechanic and it had only 75000 miles on it then . He had said it could lock up and cause a accident. My truck had been to the dealer I bought it at twice for part on the axel that was leaking some grease. I was told they are wear and tare parts, but they didn't say anything about it seeming loose . I went for inspection and I was told that I need a new front end axel assembly kit that is 3000$ and they took my inspection sticker for it saying it is unsafe to drive until fixed that it could lock up and cause a accident. This sounded just like what the guy told me at 75000 miles. I was told it was bad at the dealer I bought it from at the time of inspection and when I looked up online it said the milage it is good for 80000 to 100000 miles. There has been no warning and I did not notice a problem so I went to a mini mechanic he gave me a sticker but I am noticing the axel being bad now. I am scared to drive my vehicle and if this is the case that it goes bad every 80000 to 100000 miles shouldn't it be recalled? The mini mechanic told me dodge did not design the axel to be protected from dabre and to keep it in better condition to take it off and grease it every once in a while. Yes my truck is available for inspection upon request . Thank you would like a clear answer on this soon where I have a child that I don't want to have put in danger or those around me.

Exhaust rear passenger bolts broke last year when vehicle had 60k miles and now has 130k and drivers side rear bolt has broken. Last time the warranty covered it and now my truck is out of warranty to do the driver side. I googled it and it seems to be a problem with 2009 rams with hemi. Exhaust leak is fairly loud and goes away as the engine warms up.. just wanted to see if there is so many clams of this same part (bolt) is or will there be a recall.... Because of the bolt braking they will have to replace the head.. Its like a $3,000 plus job.

Unknown vibration at highway speeds, have taken to dealer and multiple shops. They all can’t find the problem. Balanced wheels multiple times, Changed wheel bearings, tires to different brand, new wheel they suggested still same problem. This vibration shakes seats and steering wheels at speeds above 65MPH. I see multiple people asking the same question with there rams.

WHILE HAVING A ROUTINE OIL CHANGE I DISCOVERED ON THE VEHICLE SEVERAL SMALL AREAS OF CHIPPED PAINT AND RUST IMMEDIATELY ABOVE THE WINDSHIELD. THE WINDSHIELD IS THE ORIGINAL AND NEVER CHANGED SO THERE IS NO REASON FOR THE PAINT DEFECTS ALONG THE WINDSHIELD SEAM AREA SO THAT WHEN THE RUST GOES THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD WILL BECOME UNSTABLE AND POSE A POTENTIAL HAZARD OR COULD FAIL ALTOGETHER. I SPOKE WITH A RAM DEALER WHO WAS UNINTERESTED IN THE PROBLEM. I HAVE CALLED RAM COOPERATE HEADQUARTERS AND REPORTED THE ISSUE. PLEASE SEE ATTACHED PHOTOS.

SINCE PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE I NOTICED THE SEALS LEAK DURING PRECIPITATION. I REPLACED THE SEAL AROUND THE UPPER CAB REAR BRAKE LIGHT. THIS STOPPED THE PUDDLE FROM FORMING UNDER THE BACK SEAT BUT THERE IS STILL WATER GETTING INTO THE CAB SOME WAY BECAUSE I CAN SMELL THE DAMPNESS IN THE CAB AFTER RAINY WEATHER.

COOLANT LEAKING. LEAK COULDN'T BE DETECTED BY ONLY EYES OBSERVATION UNDER THE TRUCK. IT'S UNKNOWN WHERE THE LEAK WENT. FIRST, WE REFILLED THE COOLANT, AND WHEN IT HAPPENED THE 2ND TIMES AFTER A PERIOD OF TIME OF 1-2 MONTHS, WE REFILLED IT ONCE AGAIN, ONCE THE COOLANT TANK WAS EMPTY, BUT ONLY THIS TIME, IT'S A SHORT PERIOD OF 2 DAYS. TOOK THE TRUCK TO THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP, WAS TOLD BY THE MECHANIC THAT IT'S A RECALL ITEM, THAT IT HAD BEEN REPORTED SOME OF THE RAM 1500 HAD MYSTERIOUS COOLANT LEAKED. THEY HAD NO IDEA WHERE THE COOLANT GO, THEY SAID IT'S NOT "SAFE" TO DRIVE THE TRUCK. NOW MY TRUCK HAD BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR 1.5 MONTHS AND WAS TILL BEING TOLD THAT THE PART HAD NOT ARRIVED. WE NEVER RECEIVED ANY RECALL WARNING FROM CHRYSLER. LUCKILY THE COOLANT WARNING SIGN IS WORKING. OTHERWISE, WE WON'T BE ABLE TO KNOW AND WE AS WELL AS OTHER DRIVERS ON THE STREET MIGHT BE EXPOSED TO EXPLOSION.

IN JAN. 2020 I WAS TRAVELING FROM VALDEZ, AK TO WASILLA, AK WHEN A WARNING LIGHT CAME ON FOR THE DEF SYSTEM. THE DEF WAS FROZEN. I WAS FAIRLY CLOSE TO A FRIENDS HOUSE SO I STOPPED THERE AND WE PULLED THE TRUCK INTO THE GARAGE TO THAW. ONCE IT THAWED THE WARNING WENT AWAY AND THE TRUCK WORKED FINE. BUT NOW I'M CONCERNED ABOUT DRIVING MY TRUCK ANY DISTANCE AWAY FROM MY HOME DURING THE WINTER. I OFTEN TRAVEL DURING THE WINTER WHEN THE TEMPS CAN BE -5 TO -30. I BELIEVE THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED, MOST ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE PEOPLE WHO OWN THIS TRUCK AND LIVE IN AREAS THAT DO GET COLD.

THE VEHICLE HAS HAD A VIBRATION SINCE I PURCHASED IT IN 2018. THE VIBRATION COMES AT ABOUT 45 MPH AND CONTINUES AS YOU GO UP IN SPEED. HAD THE DEALER LOOK INTO IT WITH NO LUCK, EXCEPT CHANGING MULTIPLE PARTS FOR NO BENEFIT. I REPLACED THE STOCK WHEELS FOR ANOTHER SET OF NEW WHEELS HOPING FOR THE VIBRATION TO GO AWAY AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO FIX THE VIBRATION WITH MULTIPLE ALIGNMENTS AND ROAD FORCE BALANCING. WITH ALL BEING UNSUCCESSFUL, THE NEW WHEELS DID NOT HELP. SO THEN I CHANGED THE TIRES. STILL, NO DIFFERENCE IN THE RIDE. I NOTICED THEY ARE THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS WITH NO ANSWERS FOR THIS ISSUE ON THE NEW GEN RAM 1500'S. THE THING THAT REALLY IRRITATES ME, WHEN A 2006 OLD 2500 WORK TRUCK RIDES SMOOTHER THAN MY 2016 RAM 1500 LARAMIE WITH MORE ADVANCED SUSPENSION COMPONENTS... I LOVE MY TRUCK, BUT WHEN I RIDE IN A CHEVY OR FORD I CRINGE KNOWING THAT MY TRUCK IS NOT AS SMOOTH AND I'M LEFT FEELING LOST AND SECRETLY ANGRY.

IT WAS JUST RECENTLY BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THAT THERE WAS A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETINS SENT OUT FOR THE 3.0 ECODIESEL TO CHANGE THE TYPE/SPECIFICATION OF OIL AND TO GO AGAINST WHAT THE OWNERS MANUAL STATES BECAUSE THE MANUAL IS WRONG. IT CALLS FOR AN OIL THAT IS TO LIGHT BREAKS DOWN MOLECULAR WEIGHT TOO QUICKLY AND TRUCKS AND JEEPS ALIKE EQUIPED WITH THE ECODIESEL HAVE BEEN HAVING CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE DUE TO PREMATURE ENGINE WEAR ON INTERNAL COMPONENTS. IT IS RECOMMENDED TO PUT 5W40 IN INSTEAD. THIS IS FIRST AND FOREMOST TRUE I DID RESEARCH AND CONFIRMED THAT THE CHANGE WAS MADE BUT NEVER MADE PUBLIC TO THE OWNERS LIKE THE CURRENT CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS WAS. MANY OWNERS DON'T KNOW THIS CHANGE EXSISTED AND MANY OWNERS DON'T KNOW THAT THE DEALERSHIPS ARE STILL MAKING THIS ERROR AND CONTINUING TO FILL THE TRUCKS WITH 5W30 FOR OWNERS THAT COME IN FOR SERVICE. IF IT'S TO SAVE MONEY BY NOT THROWING AWAY ALREADY PURCHASED MERCHANDISE OR IGNORANCE I DON'T KNOW. BUT THIS IS HUGE BECAUSE NOW EVEN IF OWNERS CHANGE NOW THEY STILL HAVE POTENTIAL AND HIGHLY PROBABLE PERMANENT INTERNAL DAMAGE DONE TO THEIR ENGINE TAKING A DRASTIC AMOUNT OUT OF THE POSSIBLE LONGEVITY OF THE ENGINE AWAY, AND THE NEW OIL REQUIRED REDUCES FUEL ECONOMY FURTHERING THE FINANCIAL BURDEN OF THE OWNER THAT BOUGHT THE VEHICLE WITH A DIFFERENT FUEL ECONOMY ADVERTISED AND WITH THE KNOWLEDGE THAT THEIR VEHICLE MAY NEVER LAST AS LONG AS THEY'RE HOPE BECAUSE OF THE FAILURE OF THE FCA TO IDENTIFY THIS AND MAKE IT PUBLIC. NOT TO MENTION THE DEALERSHIPS ARE AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM BECAUSE ARTICLES CLAIM MECHANICS HAVE BEEN COMING FORWARD SAYING DEALERSHIPS ARE DRAINING ALL 5W30 ON UNSOLD VEHICLES AND REPLACING IT WITH 5W40. I FINISHED COASTING INTO THE DRIVEWAY AND PARKED WENT INSIDE TO GET WORK RELATED PAPERWORK I NEEDED AND CAME BACK OUTSIDE AND SEE SMOKE COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. I OPEN THE HOOD TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON AND THERE WAS SMOKE/FIRE ON THE LEFT SIDE OF ENGINE BAY WHEN STARING IN (INTAKE, EGR AREA) AT THAT POINT I GOT IN TO THE VEHICLE TO PUT IT IN NEUTRAL VIA DISENGAGEMENT LEVER TO ROLL VEHICLE AWAY FROM THE HOUSE I GOT IT AWAY FROM THE HOUSE AND GOT OUT AND AWAY AND CALLED FIRE DEPARTMENT TO COME EXTINGUISH THE FIRE AS IT WAS ENGULFED IN FLAMES AT THAT POINT. RESULTING IN A TOTAL LOSS OF THE VEHICLE. NOW AFTERWARDS THERE IS NOW A RECALL FOR THE EGR COOLER THAT "MAY FATIGUE AND CAUSE VEHICLE FIRE" CHRYSLER HAS BEEN CONTACTED AND AREN'T WILLING TO DO ANYTHING THEY SENT OUT BOSCH AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING PEOPLE TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE IT WAS STATED THERE WAS NO VEHICLE MANUFACTURING DEFECT. A BUYBACK CLAIM HAS BEEN STARTED BUT I HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING TO THIS POINT.

THE MANAGER AT THE SANTA CRUZ, CA DEALERSHIP TOOK IT FOR A TEST DRIVE WITH A SCANNER ATTACHED; IT HAPPENED TO THEM BUT NO CODE APPEARS! AFTER THEY CHANGED A PART, THEY GAVE IT BACK BUT IT IS STILL DOING IT. THEY ARE RELUCTANT TO DO ANYTHING ELSE BECAUSE RAM DOESN'T WANT TO COVER THE COST. THIS IS MY ONLY TRANSPORTATION FOR OUR FAMILY'S LIVELIHOOD AND RAM DOESN'T SEEM TO WANT TO BE BOTHERED WITH IT, BUT IT'S A SAFETY MATTER. THIS IS A DODGE MATTER THAT MUST BE RESOLVED BY THEM. WHEN MERGING ONTO HIGHWAY TRAFFIC THE TRUCK HAS SIGNIFICANT/SEVER POWER OR RESPONSIVENESS. PULLING OUT INTO/ON CROSS STREET INTERSECTIONS OR FROM BUSINESSES ENTRY/DRIVEWAYS INTO TRAFFIC THE TRUCK HAS LITTLE TO NO POWER OR GAS PEDAL RESPONSIVENESS FOR APPROXIMATELY 2-4 SECONDS UPON PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL, THEN WILL SUDDENLY ACCELERATE UNEXPECTEDLY AND VERY RAPIDLY, TO THE POINT OF SPINNING THE TIRES. THIS SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER OR ACCELERATION LAG SITUATION HAPPENS SPORADICALLY AT INDISCRIMINATE TIMES, WITH NO PREDICTABLE PATTERN TO IT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH WITH THE SEAT BELT SECURED, THE CONTACT BECAME DISTRACTED BY HIS PHONE AND CRASHED WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE AT A RED LIGHT. THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE OF AN UNKNOWN VAN AS A RESULT THE VAN SPUN AND CRASHED BACK INTO THE REAR DRIVER SIDE PANEL OF THE CONTACTS VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED NECK INJURIES HOWEVER MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NOT PROVIDED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THERE WAS NO FIRE DUE TO THE CRASH. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT LOT. 2016 RAM 1500 4WD SHAKES AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS OF 60+ MPH. STARTED HAPPENING AFTER ABOUT 30,000 MILES AND THE TRUCK NOW HAS 75000. THERE HAVE BEEN MANY POSTS/BLOGS ONLINE ABOUT THIS ISSUE. THE SHAKING COMES AND GOES ABOUT EVERY 1/2 MILE. WILL RIDE FAIRLY SMOOTH THEN IT REALLY STARTS SHAKING AND FEELS LIKE IT IS UNDER THE CENTER OF THE TRUCK. IT DOES NOT AFFECT THE STEERING WHEEL. THEN AFTER ABOUT A 1/2 MILE IT MOSTLY GOES AWAY, IN ANOTHER 1/2 MILE IT COMES BACK AND THE PATTERN CONSTANTLY REPEATS. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER 3 TIMES FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. THEY HAVE REPLACED BOTH REAR UPPER AND LOWER TRAILING ARMS, 2 SETS OF ALL NEW TIRES, ONE SET NORMALLY BALANCED AND ONE SET WAS ROAD FORCE BALANCED, HAVE CHANGED OUT WHEELS, REPLACED SHOCKS, AND STILL HAVE THE PROBLEM. THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE TRAILING ARMS UNDER WARRANTY THE REST HAS BEEN PAID FOR BY ME OUT OF POCKET. IT IS A DRIVE TRAIN ISSUE HOWEVER THE DEALERSHIP HAS STOPPED LOOKING INTO THE PROBLEM. I AM BEYOND FRUSTRATED AS I HAVE NO RECOURSE TO FIX THE PROBLEM AND CAN'T KEEP PAYING FOR ALL THESE PARTS OUT OF POCKET. IT IS NOT SAFE GOING DOWN THE INTERSTATE IN THE RAIN TAKING CORNERS WHEN IT STARTS SHAKING. I HAVE RECEIPTS FOR EVERYTHING AND CAN GET DEALER DOCUMENTATION IF NEEDED.

IT TYPICALLY HAPPENS WHEN TURNING (PULLING OUT FROM A STOPPED POSITION). IT HAS ALMOST CAUSED US TO GET IN TO TWO DIFFERENT ACCIDENTS DUE TO LACK OF ACCELERATION. MY WHOLE FAMILY WAS IN THE CAR AT THE TIME. I REFUSE TO LET MY CHILDREN RIDE AS PASSENGERS NOW BECAUSE IT IS A HUGE SAFETY RISK. WHEN I AM APPROACHING A RED LIGHT OR STOP SIGN, I APPLY PRESSURE TO THE BRAKES. AS THE VEHICLE IS COMING TO A STOP, IT SOMETIMES LUNGES FORWARD UNEXPECTEDLY AS IF I HAVE BEEN REAR-ENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. THEY TOLD ME TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND HAVE THEM CHECK IT A THIRD TIME. I HAVE NO FAITH IN THE DEALERSHIP AFTER TWICE TAKING IT IN WITH NO RESOLUTION. IT ALSO COSTS ME TIME AND MONEY TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP JUST TO HAVE THEM TELL ME THE PROBLEM IS FIXED WHEN IT IS NOT. 28 DEGREES F THIS MORNING. I STARTED TRUCK AND LET IT WARM UP FOR 5 MIN. DISENGAGED THE PARKING BRAKE, PUT IT IN DRIVE. AS I STARTED TO MOVE (3) ERROR MESSAGES CAME UP ON DASH: SERVICE SHIFTER, SERVICE TRANSMISSION, SERVICE THROTTLE CONTROL. I STOPPED TRUCK, TURNED IT OFF AND THEN STARTED IT AGAIN. NO ERROR CODES; ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ON. I DROVE TO WORK 2.5 MILES AWAY. I HAD TO STOP AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT AND ENGINE JUST TURNED OFF. DASH BOARD WAS FLICKERING. I PUT TRUCK IN PARK, TURNED KEY OFF AND THEN TRIED TO RESTART TRUCK. NOTHING, LIGHTS STILL FLICKERING ON DASH. I TRIED TO PUT ON HAZARD LIGHTS BUT NO POWER TO THEM. I TRIED MULTIPLE TIMES TO RESTART TRUCK BUT TO NO AVAIL. AT SOME POINT IT WOULDN'T EVEN LET ME TURN THE KEY TO OFF. IT WAS STUCK IN THE "ACCESSORY" POSITION. I DID CATCH AN ERROR MESSAGE ON THE DASHBOARD THAT SAID "NO BUS". IF I WAS MOVING WHEN TRUCK SHUT DOWN I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN INTO AN ACCIDENT; NO POWER BRAKES OR STEERING. AFTER ABOUT 5 MINUTES SITTING AT TRAFFIC LIGHT, THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS STOPPED FLICKERING AND THE TRUCK APPEARED TO RESET ITSELF. AT THIS POINT I WAS ABLE TO START THE TRUCK AND GET TO WORK. THE TRUCK HAS BEEN IN FOUR TIMES FOR "SERVICE SHIFTER" ERROR. ON THREE OF THE VISITS THE DEALER LOADED NEW SOFTWARE INTO THE TRUCK TO ADDRESS THIS AND A FEW RECALLS. THE LAST VISIT (3) WEEKS AGO THE SOFTWARE WAS CHANGED SO IF THE TRUCK IS NOT IN PARK, THE DRIVER'S DOOR IS OPEN, TRUCK IS IN GEAR, AND THE DRIVER'S FOOT IS NOT PRESSING ON THE BRAKE PEDAL THE COMPUTER WILL PUT TRUCK IN PARK THEY ALSO REPLACED THE ROTARY SHIFTER SWITCH. SINCE THAT TIME THE SERVICE TRANSMISSION, SERVICE SHIFTER AND SERVICE THROTTLE CONTROL ERROR STARTED AND HAS APPEARED THREE TIMES. 2016 RAM EXPRESS 1500 WAS BOUGHT NEW IN JULY 2017 AND HAS 15,400 MILES ON IT. I HAVE NO CONFIDENCE IN THIS VEHICLE AS IT WILL LEAVE ME STRANDED AT SOME POINT.

IT CONSTANTLY KEPT FALLING DOWN BY ITSELF AND I HAD TO HOLD THE POWER BUTTON UP TO KEEP IT FROM DOING SO, WHILE DRIVING IN THE MORNING RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. ONCE I GOT TO WORK AND PARKED MY TRUCK IN A UNSECURED PARKING GARAGE, THE WINDOW WAS UP THIS WAS AT ABOUT 630 AM CST. UPON RETURNING TO MY PARKED/STATIONARY TRUCK AT A BREAK AROUND 9 AM CST, THE WINDOW HAD DROPPED HALFWAY DOWN AND THE SAME THROUGHOUT THE DAY. I WENT TO THE DEALER AT ONCE, AND WAS TOLD THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM, AND ITS NOT COVERED BECAUSE OF MY MILEAGE. SO I HAD TO PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR IT, FOR A VEHICLE THAT IS NOT EVEN 2 YEARS OLD, AND ALMOST CAUSED ME TO HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE. NOT TO MENTION THAT IT WOULD NOT STAY UP AND THE TRUCK WAS NOT ATTENDED TO IN A UNSECURE GARAGE IN THE NOT SO NICE PART OF THE CITY. TAILGATE NOW BECOMES MOVABLE WITH ONE HAND. IF GOING OVER AN IRREGULAR SURFACE, ANGLE, WHILE DRIVING TAILGATE COMES FULLY UNLATCHED AND WILL FALL OPEN. THIS HAS BECOME A DAILY OCCURRENCE, AND MUST CONTINUALLY CHECK TAILGATE TO ENSURE THAT TAILGATE IS FULLY LATCHED. THIS TAILGATE PROBLEM STARTED AT 20674 MILES. TRUCK CURRENTLY HAS 21887 MILES. THIS HAS OCCURRED BACKING DOWN MY DRIVEWAY OR UP MY DRIVEWAY AS THE TRANSITION FROM LEVEL ROAD SURFACE TURNING INTO AND UP MY DRIVEWAY, OR BACKING OUT OF DRIVE WAY TRANSITIONING FROM SLIGHT GRADE TO ZERO GRADE OF ROAD SURFACE. SAME THING DRIVING INTO OR DRIVING OUT OF PARKING LOTS, ALSO ON HIGHWAY FROM ROAD SURFACE TO BRIDGE SURFACE TO ROAD SURFACE. NO WARNING. ONLY THE TAILGATE CABLES ARE SUPPORTING TAILGATE. SEEMS TO HAPPEN WHEN ANY KIND FLEXING OF BED AND FRAME. THIS IS MY SIXTH PERSONAL PICK UP TRUCK, LET ALONE THE DOZEN OR SO I HAVE USED THROUGH MY EMPLOYMENT. RAM 1500 WAS PARKED STATIONARY ON THE HILL IN FRONT YARD WHILE UNLOADING SIX BAGS OF MULCH. THE TRUCK WAS IN PARK,KEYS IN POCKET, ENGAGED IN FOUR WHEEL DRIVE, AND PARKING BRAKE APPLIED. AFTER ABOUT 10 MINUTES OF UNLOADING, THE TRUCK SKIDDED DOWN THE HILL AND ENDED UP IN A DITCH. WHEN TRYING TO REMOVE THE TRUCK FROM THE THE DITCH, UPON IGNITION THE RAM WARNED ME TO DISENGAGE THE PARKING BRAKE BEFORE MOVING THE VEHICLE. SOMETHING LET LOOSE TO CAUSE THIS RAM TO "RUN AWAY." I HAVE CONTACTED MY LOCAL INSURANCE AGENT AND FILED A CLAIM WITH THEM AND RAM THE CLAIM NUMBER FROM RAM'S SPECIAL INVESTIGATION TEAM IS 31851709. MY TRUCK WAS DAMAGED AND CURRENTLY RESIDING AT A COLLISION CENTER FOR REPAIRS. I WILL NOT GET BACK INTO THIS UNSAFE TRUCK UNTIL AN ANSWER IS FOUND OF WHY OF IT LET LOOSE ON A GRADE. MY NINE YEAR OLD SON WAS WITH ME IN THE FRONT YARD. THIS IS CAUSING ME NOT TO PUT MY FAMILY BACK INTO THIS TRUCK, UNTIL A FIX IS FOUND.

COMING HOME FROM WORK ON JANUARY 5, 2017, I PULLED MY 2016 RAM 1500 PICKUP PART WAY INTO MY GARAGE, TURNED THE ROTARY SHIFTER TO PARK AND EXITED THE VEHICLE TO MAKE SURE THAT I HAD A CLEAR PATH OF TRAVEL TO FULLY PULL THE VEHICLE IN THE GARAGE. MY DRIVEWAY IS AN UPSLOPE AND A PORTION OF THE TRUCK WAS STILL IN THE DRIVEWAY. AFTER I EXITED THE VEHICLE IT BEGAN TO MOVE BACKWARD. THE VEHICLE'S DOOR THREW ME TO THE GROUND AND SWEPT MY LEGS UNDER THE TRUCK.THE FRONT LEFT TIRE RAN OVER BOTH OF MY LEGS. THE TRUCK CONTINUED DOWN OUR DRIVEWAY, ACROSS THE STREET, THROUGH OUR NEIGHBOR'S FENCE AND ONLY STOPPED WHEN IT HIT A TREE IN THEIR FRONT YARD. MY FAMILY RUSHED ME TO OUR LOCAL HOSPITAL EMERGENCY ROOM AND WAS I WAS ADMITTED INTO THAT HOSPITAL THE FOLLOWING MORNING.

WENT TO LIFT WITH REMOTE TRAILER CONTROL WHEN THE TRAILER WAS ALMOST ALL THE WAY UP IT PUSHED MY TRUCK INTO DRIVE AND TOOK OFF AND I HAD TO RUN AND STOP IT. AND IT SHOWED IT INTO DRIVE. THANKS GOD DOOR WASNT SHUT. SO IT WOULD OF LOCKED ME OUT.

MY TRUCK HAS A NOTICABLE VIBRATION AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS OF 60 MPH AND ABOVE. AFTER 3-4 TRIPS TO DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS, THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. AFTER A QUICK SEARCH ONLINE, I REALIZED THAT THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS HAVE BEEN POSTED ON BLOGS RELATED TO THIS SAME PROBLEM WITH NO SOLUTION FROM CHRYSLER/RAM. I HAVE HAD THE TIRES BALANCED/ROTATED/ROAD FORCED BALANCE, ETC. FRONT DRIVE SHAFTS REPLACED (IT'S A 4X4 MODEL) AND STILL THE SAME RESULT ... VIBRATION AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. I'M NOT SURE HOW MANY COMPLAINTS ARE BEING FILED WITH THE NHTSA, BUT AFTER READING NUMEROUS BLOGS, I WOULD EXPECT THAT FCA WOULD ADDRESS THIS ISSUE WITH A RECALL.

I BACKED OUT OF MY GARAGE AND PUT TRUCK INTO PARK, GOT OUT TO GRAB SOMETHING AND THE TRUCK LURCHED FORWARD WITH ME HOLDING ON TO THE DOOR, IT HIT MY GARAGE WALL, THEN WENT IN REVERSE, SPED UP, AND DRAGGED ME APPROXIMATELY 50FT THROUGH A FENCE AND THEN INTO MY NEIGHBORS HOUSE, MY 10 YR OLD WAS IN THE BACK SEAT SCREAMING, IT WAS HORRIBLE. MY BACK WAS INJURED, MY BODY WAS BRUISED AND SCRAPED AND BOTH HOUSES HAD EXTENSIVE DAMAGE. I BELIEVE THIS WAS DUE TO A FAULTY ROTARY SHIFTER, ALSO IT CANNOT BE EXPLAINED HOW THE TRUCK COULD OF GONE IN REVERSE AFTER IT HIT MY HOUSE, YOU NEED TO HAVE YOUR FOOT ON THE BRAKE TO SHIFT GEARS AND I WAS ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. MY SECURITY CAMERA CAPTURED THIS ON VIDEO, I HAVE THIS ON A USB DRIVE, I ALSO HAVE ALL OF THE CLAIM FORMS FROM THE INSURANCE COMPANY, REPAIR SHOP, HOSPITAL, RENTAL COMPANY, THERE IS TOO MUCH INFORMATION TO SCAN INTO A 5MB FILE. CHRYSLER SUPPOSEDLY HAD THE VEHICLE INSPECTED WHILE AT THE BODY SHOP, BUT CLAIMS THERE WAS NO PROBLEM? ALSO THE POLICE REPORT WAS WRITTEN BEFORE IT WAS KNOWN THE SECURITY CAMERA HAD RECORDED THE INCIDENT, THEREFORE WAS SLIGHTLY INACCURATE AS THIS WAS HARD FOR THEM TO BELIEVE IT HAPPEN AS I TOLD THEM.

MY TRUCK STOPPED RUNNING AND DRIFTED TO A STOP AS I WAS MAKING A LEFT TURN ONTO A BUSY HIGHWAY. NO WARNING ALERTS WERE POSTED ON THE DASHBOARD NOR ANY AUDIBLE WARNING SOUNDED.THE TRUCK WAS IN DRIVE AT THE TIME AND I WAS STEPPING ON THE ACCELERATOR TO MAKE THE TURN AT 5-10 MPH; IT SIMPLY STOPPED RUNNING. I PLACED THE TRUCK IN PARK AND THE ENGINE WOULD NOT RESTART DESPITE MULTIPLE ROTATIONS OF THE KEYFOB IN THE IGNITION. ULTIMATELY, I REMOVED THE ELECTRONIC KEYFOB FROM THE IGNITION, REINSERTED THE KEYFOB AND THE TRUCK STARTED. A SERVICE AGENT AT RAM DEALER IN BEND, OR SAYS THEY SAW A SIMILAR PROBLEM LAST WEEK. HE INDICATES THE IGNITION MODULE ON THAT TRUCK WAS REPLACED AND KEYFOBS REPROGRAMMED. I HOPE THE PROBLEM WITH THAT TRUCK WAS CORRECTED. MY WIFE AND I WERE FORTUNATE THAT WE WERE NOT STRUCK BY OTHER VEHICLES AS IT TOOK PERHAPS 30 SECONDS OR MORE TO RESTART. THE TRUCK IS NOW RUNNING WITHOUT A REPETITION OF THIS ISSUE. I AM DRIVING IT AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE. I HAVE FIRST AVAILABLE SERVICE APPOINTMENT NEXT MONDAY APRIL 25. THE SERVICEMAN READ THE OBDII CODE WHEN I MADE THE APPOINTMENT AND INDICATED A CODE HAD BEEN SET TO THE EFFECT THAT COMMUNICATION WITH THE IGNITION MODULE HAD BEEN LOST. THE SERVICEMAN INDICATED THIS WOULD EXPLAIN THE ENGINE TURNING OFF SPONTANEOUSLY. THIS IS REMINISCENT OF THE GM VEHICLES THAT HAD IGNITION PROBLEMS WITH ASSOCIATED DEATHS. TRUCK PROCEEDING AT ABOUT 30-35 MILES PER HR. ON A MAIN CITY STREET WHEN A CAR TRAVELED DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF IT DUE TO ITS FAILURE TO STOP AT A STOP SIGN ON A SIDE STREET. FRONT OF TRUCK CRASHED INTO CAR. EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO FRONT OF TRUCK RESULTED. QUESTIONING WHY NO DEPLOYMENT OF AIR BAG IN THIS HEAD- ON CRASH. TRUCK'S DRIVER HIT STEERING WHEEL WITH FOREHEAD AND WAS KNOCKED UNCONSCIOUS FOR A BRIEF PERIOD OF TIME. NECK AND HIP INJURIES WERE LIKEWISE SUSTAINED. DRIVER OF TRUCK WAS AMBULANCED TO NEARBY HOSPITAL FOR TESTS AND OBSERVATION. DRIVER OF TRUCK WAS WEARING SEATBELT AT TIME OF COLLISION. POLICE REPORT NOT YET AVAILABLE. ROTARY KNOB DOES NOT INDICATE THAT VEHICLE IS NOT IN PARK. CAUSED EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO VEHICLE AND GARAGE AS IT TOOK OFF AFTER EXITING TRUCK. CANNOT CONFIRM IF THE KNOB WAS ACTUALLY TURNED TO PARK. MAIN CONCERN IS WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED IF FAMILY MEMBERS, KIDS, WERE IN THE GARAGE. I MYSELF NARROWLY ESCAPED BEING PINNED AGAINST SECOND CAR IN GARAGE THAT ALSO GOT HIT.

MY 2016 RAM 1500 BIG HORN CREW CAB 4X4 ROLLED AWAY AFTER BEING PARKED. IT HAD BEEN PARKED FOR ABOUT 3 MINUTES THEN I HEARD A LOUD SCREECHING NOISE, TURNED AROUND AS MY TRUCK STARTED TO ROLL AND JERK DOWN THE DRIVEWAY WHICH HAS A SLIGHT INCLINE. I WAS ABLE TO GET TO MY TRUCK AND STOP IT BEFORE IT HIT THE PARKED CAR ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROAD. I TOOK MY TRUCK TO THE DEALERSHIP, THEY KEPT IT FOR 2 DAYS AND I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WERE NO CODES RECORDED ON THE TRUCK AND THAT THEY COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE ROLL AWAY. I HAVE ONLY HAD MY TRUCK FOR 6 WEEKS AND IT HAS LESS THAN 1200 MILES ON IT.

I PUT MY TRUCK IN PARK. IT WAS DARK OUT. I STEPPED OUT OF MY VEHICLE ONTO THE HIGHWAY TO TAKE A PICTURE OF THE MOON. AS MY FEET HIT THE PAVEMENT THE TRUCK BEGIN TO ROLL IN REVERSE. I WAS HIT BY THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR AND THROWN TO THE GROUND. I ROLLED AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE BEFORE BEING RUN OVER BY THE TIRE. THE TRUCK CONTINUED TO GO IN REVERSE AND I CHASED AFTER THE VEHICLE PURE ADRENALINE WAS ALL THAT KEPT ME GOING. I THEN ATTEMPTED TO JUMP INTO THE MOVING VEHICLE. I WAS DRAGGED A SHORT DISTANCE BEFORE PULLING MYSELF INTO THE TRUCK CAB. I APPLIED THE BRAKE BRINGING THE TRUCK TO A STOP. I LOOKED AT THE DIAL SHIFTER AND IT STILL SAID IT WAS IN PARK. I SUFFERED BRUISING AND A DECENT SIZED CONTUSION TO MY RIGHT LEG AND SOME BRUISED RIBS. I AM VERY FORTUNATE TO BE AGILE ENOUGH TO HAVE ESCAPED WORSE INJURIES.

THIS NOW ALSO OCCURS IN WHEN SHIFTING TO REVERSE.ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS HAVE SHIFTED FROM PARK TO DRIVE. TRANSMISSION WILL NOT ENGAGE AND INDICATOR LIGHT ON GEAR SELECTOR SWITCH FLASHES. HAVE VIDEO. HAVE TO REPLACE TO PARK AND TURN OFF VEHICLE AND RESTART TO ENGAGE TRANSMISSION. I HAVE HAD THE CLIMATE CONTROL SWITCH SETTINGS ON ITS OWN. FROM AIR CONDITIONING TO HEAT. I HAVE HAD THE SPEEDOMETER SCREEN START FLASHING AT ME WHILE OPERATING ON THE HIGHWAY SPEED THAT FORWARD OR REAR PARK ASSIST IS NOT AVAILABLE. ELECTRIC SIDE VIEW MIRRORS HAVE FOLDED IN ON THEIR OWN WHILE OPERATING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. ON TWO OCCASIONS WHILE IN PARK AND RUNNING THE VEHICLE HAS SHIFTED INTO REVERSE. ALL INCIDENTS HAVE BEEN WITNESSED BY INDEPENDENT WITNESSES. THE SERVICE MANAGER AT THE DEALERSHIP HAS WITNESSED SOME OF THESE INCIDENTS. FCA IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND CAN'T SEEM TO FIX. THESE ARE ALL ONGOING ISSUES.

THURSDAY MORNING APRIL 14 I GOT INTO MY TRUCK TO GO TO WORK. PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE AND START THE ENGINE. TURNED THE TRANSMISSION ROTARY KNOB ON THE DASH TO R AND BACK OUT OF THE GARAGE. THE ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING AND PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE TO GO TO P FOR PARK. AS I WAS GETTING OUT OF THE TRUCK AND TAKING MY FOOT OF THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE TRUCK STARTING MOVING FORWARD GOING BACK INTO THE GARAGE. IT PINNED ME BETWEEN THE INSIDE OF THE FRONT AND THE GARAGE DOOR OPENING. I WAS ABLE TO REACH FOR THE KNOB AGAIN TO PUT IT BACK INTO REVERSE. IT SMASHED THE LEFT FRONT DOOR IN AND TORE THE SIDE OF GARAGE DOOR OPENING. I HAD MAJOR BRUISING ON MY BODY. I AM VERY CONCERNED ABOUT DRIVING THIS VEHICLE DUE TO THIS ISSUE. I WANT TO BE REASSURED THAT THE VEHICLE IS SAFE BEFORE I DRIVE IT AGAIN. I HAVE BIG CONCERNS REGARDING THE ROTARY DESIGN FOR THE TRANSMISSION KNOB.
