ABS light and traction control lights on, on dash. With these lights on, the cruise control and 4x4 do not work. One garage replaced front right axle, wheel bearing, brake rotor, brake pads, and ABS sensor. Lights were then out for a day but then came back. Took to a second garage and they replaced right rear ABS sensor. Lights went out for another day and then came back. They are still on. Because of Christmas it's been hard to get anyone to look at it. Also they say this is a known problem without any definite solution.

Yes, the vehicle is inspection. If you're going around a curve at 55 miles an hour all of a sudden the electric power steering will come back on and jerk. Probably not explaining it well but extremely dangerous in my opinion and others. It is intermittent. The dealers say there is no recall, but the Internet says there is so I don't know who to believe. It has not been inspected. No there were no warnings just work sometimes and doesn't work sometimes and it's worse than the old days with no power steering. You can hardly turn the wheel when it's not working.

The contact owns a 2018 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the Uconnect infotainment system intermittently failed, causing the defroster and rearview camera to become inoperable. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 33,000.

The backup camera randomly gets a distorted picture or just goes black. The wiring harness at the tailgate is the issue. I can wiggle the harness and close the tailgate and it works again. I replaced the harness myself once and now it’s doing it again. on or about 7/29/2025 while driving at approx 45 mph (2018 Dodge Ram Rebel) - multiple dash warning lights came on. Parked at safe location. Vehicle would not start and again multiple dash lights came on, steering wheel tight. Had vehicle towed to Reedman Dodge Langhorne, Pennsylvania. Service Rep said vehicles needs replaced drive train and other electrical work costing $5,000.00. Vehicle has less than 100,000 miles (original owner) serviced regularly. Reedman Dodge said no recalls for this but is aware of multiple complaints and "class action" lawsuit on this.

THE U CONNECT SCREEN KEEPS ASKING TO UPDATE THE CLOCK WHEN THE CLOCK IS ACCURATE, LOCKS OUT ALL OTHER FUNCTIONS UNTIL I HIT THE X, THEN ALL GOES AWAY, THEN THE MESSAGE RETURNS.

While driving through a hard rain and some standing water (which was totally unavoidable)one afternoon, I began having Electric power steering problems. It stared off with grinding noises for a couple days and on the day i took it to be checked is when I loss all power steering with EPS warning light engaged. After searching for the part continuously, through manufacturers and auto parts dealers, I was told countless times that it was on national back order. So, weeks passed with no luck and finally found one from a used auto parts which cost me 1k plus labor. About 2 months later, almost same scenario all over again. Loss power steering while driving. Now im back in the same situation again but this time different mechanic has one on order for me but a new steering rack which is now costing me $3000 for parts labor programing and wheel alignment which is needed after replacing rack. Now the insurance adjuster is telling me that from his research this is a huge ongoing problem with RAM trucks. Since 2018 when I got my truck i haven't had any issues until now twice within two months with this EPS rack.Ram needs this fixed immediately. It is a major safety hazard, inconvenience, and a big financial burden that insurance won't cover

Unconnect / head unit malfuctions in a way that makes driving unsafe. Climate control is unusable, gps malfuctions, radio stations change, phone calls people, mutes/unmutes, hangs up. AC/Heat alternates and turns on and off on it's own. It's incredibly distracting.

Traveling on highway, heard noise coming from the engine. I was close to an off ramp and got off the highway. In the process of getting on the off ramp alarms went off. Turned on the flashers, came to a stop partially on the shoulder. Turned off the vehicle, turned it back on and it started right up. Turned to head into town to get some place safe to check the issue and all the alarms went off again. Put the car into neutral and coasted down the road to a local restaurant parking lot. Once safely parked, I opened the hood and my engine was on fire. I ran to the window of the restaurant to get a fire extinguisher and was able to put out the fire quickly. I contacted my insurance carrier and went through the process of repairing the truck. One body shop got it back up and running. Another shop fixed the cosmetic issues. However insurance would only fix the damage from the fire, not the cause of the fire. The truck has been throwing a code stating the EGR Cooler is not functioning properly. Stellantis sent out an independent investigator, however he wasn't allowed to look at the pictures that the body shop took after the incident. Since the truck was put back together and the cosmetic damage was repaired, he couldn't tell the cause of the fire. This EGR Cooler was supposed to be replaced during the recall (NHTSA Campaign # 19V757000), however I don't believe it was. Currently mine is cracked and supposedly the parts are on backorder. So there may need to be a recall to the recall.

Dash mounted control screen malfunctions, and the heater will switch back and forth randomly the radio doesn't function properly, can't control heater or defrosters. If using navigation, it will malfunction and flicker on and off.

My 2018 ram 1500 big horn, began showing lights on dash to fix the trailer brakes, and ABS. The sensors was replaced yet the problem persists. When I called RAM they stated the recall was vin specific. Yet the 2018 ram 2500-5500 were recalled for bad abs system, the 2019 rams 1500s were recalled for the same issue. Ram told me that my truck did display all the issues their recall is doing. That was 3 weeks ago and never heard back from them.

Rear backup camera freezes the display or displays blue screen while backing up. Open recall on the year of vehicle but not under this VIN. Vehicle has been doing this for a long time and seems just recently the recall was started. A possibly unrelated issue is happening where the uconnect does “ghost button pressing” cuts heat, turns on ac, changes clock, settings etc. very unsafe as youre forced to turn heat or ac back on while driving multiple times in a short session of driving

The HVAC controls are part of the radio unit. The radio unit locks up, requiring the battery to be pulled to reset most of the time. When you dont have the radio working you cannot control the HVAC controls including Defrost which can cause a dangerous driving situation or not be able to drive due to fogged up windows. Also many of the vehicle functions such as the auto dim mirror are inoperative when the radio locks up or doesnt not work (black screen) causing a dangerous night situation. lastly, the reversing camera will not work with a non functioning radio display causing a hazard with a full size pickup backing up to others.

The backup camera randomly loses the image when backing up. It has happened many times, unpredictable, beginning in October. Then had a period of it happening quite often, now it's only been twice in the last couple of weeks. I have a couple of photos of the screen, but this app won't let me paste them in. I request my VIN be added to the recall for this issue.

The engine ticking constantly as well as an electrical issue with the radio, heating, ac unit, control panel in dash that has all of this in it constantly changes goes haywire, won't let you do anything to fix it. It flips from setting to setting as well as different screens and the cargo lights have a habit of staying on an draining the battery. The engine tick has been like that for i dont know how long but it seems all the ram 1500s have that same tick, the control panel started acting crazy about 2 months ago, the battery being drained this is the 2nd battery I bought in 2 yrs due to this issue. Not sure about the cargo light when that started. It's pretty crappy we use out hard earned money to purchase what we believe to be a great vehicle only to find its made so bad to have all these issues and no recalls on them. I'm sure I speak for all ram 1500 owners ram should take better care of their customers and the issues in which their products malfunction and fix the issue instead of leaving us high an dry, broke down along the road due to poor production. I'd like to see these issues fixed but not on my experience since the issue comes straight from the manufacturer.

The radio/HVAC screen is malfunctioning. It still works but the screen is delaminating and the screen thinks that someone is touching the screen and there is no control over what it touches or controls. Radio is working but the channels change so fast by themselves that you cannot listen to anything. Cannot change any vehicle settings - such as lighting. Same with the HVAC system. When i click into the climate controls, the screen controls itseld doing whatever it wants. I have no control over the climate. THIS IS THE SAFETY ISSUE. If i am driving my vehicle and my windshield starts to fog up, my defroster is not accessible. I can hit the physical defrost button but there is no saying if the screen will not click the defroster off by itself. This puts myself and all motorists around me at risk if I cannot control a fogged windshield. I get distracted while driving trying to force the climae control to stay on my selected setting when it is to no success. I brought this into MIG Chrysler Dodge Jeep & Ram in Bellefontaine Ohio and they confirmed the problem and quoted me saying, "vehicle needs a replacement radio". I will upload a copy of this quote. We have police in the family that has seen the issue and they are also concerned of the safety hazard this presents. I would be happy to obtain a letter from the local PD and my insurance about this matter. No warning lamps or messages. I noticed a while ago that my screen looked like it was bubbling or delaminating but it never caused issue until one day the screen started clicking around like crazy on its own and has done it ever since. I started to look up forums for this issue and this sounds to be an extremely common issue in 2018 Ram's. My good buddy also has an 18 Ram and has the same issue, although, not as severe.

Due to screen delamination - While operating the vehicle, the central monitor cycles repeatedly through different functions, and actions, including but not limited to: calling multiple people using phone connected to vehicle by Bluetooth, changing the directions/stopping navigation, showing the back up camera, changing radio stations, change environmental controls. This is a significant safety issue as it is very distracting to the driver of the vehicle. Solutions like turning off the screen are not effective due to screen delamination - it prevents the screen from fully turning off as the trips the touch screen function restarting the screen. When the issue was raised with the delearship and noted as a significant safety issue - the dealership advised that it was not a safety issue and identified it as "the radio needing to be replaced". This is a known and documented issue with this year, make and model of vehicle. This is an ongoing issue.

The UCONNECT touch screen began de-laminating several years ago and was reported to the local dealership that services my vehicle, but they discarded due to warranty status. However now it is randomly detecting a 'touch' on the screen. While this is somewhat just an annoyance when using the radio, nav or apple car play, this is also used to control the vehicle settings including many of the safety features making this a critical component of the safety system of the vehicle. A malfunctioning touch screen should be considered a critical defect in terms of safety in most modern vehicles. I have noticed there are other complaints about this as well in public forums and on the NHTSA site.

Infotainment system within the car will randomly touch the screen and make distinctive changes that alter the cars driving state. Has called SOS system multiple times. Changed climate control settings and opens up backup cam while traveling forward and not in a parking state. Causes a distraction within the car for the driver and the passengers, and could potentially have harmful driving effects, including switching transmission settings or changing driving at all. The contact owns a 2018 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving at speeds above 80 MPH, the vehicle started to shake, the engine overheated, and the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer and was diagnosed with a faulty battery. The battery was replaced; however, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was towed to a second dealer, but the cause of the failure was not yet determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 95,000.

Windshield wipers will intermittently come on as well. This is a known problem with these vehicles. Most recently randomly throws service shifter codes and vehicle shifts into neutral with no warning. The shifter has been replaced with no remedy to the problem.

Occasionally after driving 15-30 minutes my dash gives me a quick "auto park brake disengaged" notification and my speedometer goes to 0 while I'm driving, then everything goes back to normal. (Event happens approximately every 3rd to 5th time I drive the vehicle) An additional event has occurred after driving a while my entire dash and screen will blackout as well. I've researched the internet and found that numerous people have the same issue or similar. I've gone to Dealerships and get no help whatsoever, they act like I'm wasting there time and basically ignore me, they said since I can't make the issue happen they can't look at it. I've read the same responses across the internet by other 2018 Ram 1500 owners, it's obvious we don't have a voice to this safety concern. Please look into this matter before someone gets hurt. I've owned the truck for approximately 2 months, I bought it from a dealership, the truck is in excellent condition with no major repairs. Definitely an electrical/computer issue.

In June of 2023, I was driving home and the vehicle became unresponsive, but still powered on. I was able to steer it partially to the side of the road. The gas pedal was unresponsive, all electrical was unresponsive and it also would not turn off. I called my husband, when he arrived about 20 minutes later we were finally able to turn off the truck, but electrical was still unresponsive so the windows would not roll up. I had just gotten off the freeway, about a mile, and was lucky to be in a residential area or I would have been unable to drive on the freeway. This is a major safely issue and I also had my 9 year old daughter in the truck with me. No warning messages or any symptoms prior to the problem/failure. We called and had it towed to our local trusted mechanic, Gray's Tire and Auto. It took about a month for Gray's to figure out the problem. They were also in conversations with the local RAM Dealer who did not know how to fix the problem. It ended up being recall [XXX] that was the issue. The vehicle turns on and off by itself and the radio and ac also started to turn on and switched between hi and low and the radio stations kept switching stations the power lock window buttons in times worked other times it would be stuck and didn't work. The key fob was switched to a new key fob however the problem persist the vehicle came to a sudden stop and shut off in the middle of the highway while driving causing all the electrical system in the vehicle to activate the alarm going off the anti lock brake on and the vehicle lights and vehicle turning on and off. I am concern with my safety and the public safety as this vehicle shut off while I was driving this could have cause a major accident if I were driving at regular high speed in the highway this could have caused total lost of control of the vehicle I had to get it towed to the dealer for service. The dealer fails to conduct a proper electrical diagnosis on the vehicle stating the issue is the key fob which was switch for a new one however this happen same day the key fob was switched which means the key fob was not the issue there is a major electrical issue that needs investigation this vehicle should be off the road or salvage no warning lights prior or after the incident the date it started which was on March 13,2024 the car was brought to service and released on April 3, 2024 and after changing key fob the problem continues and on April 4th the vehicle shut off while driving without warning. The dealer who sold the vehicle can not figure out the issue as a proper diagnosis has not be made by them and they continue to fail to fix the issue.

Truck has zero warning lights, zero visible issues, nothing is "wrong" with the truck. However, the truck runs horribly. It is terrifying to drive. Anything over 35mph is scary. It drives like the back wheels are about to come out from under it. The truck violently shakes. Sometimes it accelerates, sometimes not, randomly downshift, random upshifts, random power loss, randomly the breaks stop working. The radio has became such a problem that not only can I not use the radio, i cant use the navigation, back up camera, the apps, climate control, settings, nothing in the control unit. Cant even update it because it wont stay on one screen long enough, nothing. The unit bounces around from one tab to another. Its confusing the trucks computer system and has reset itself while on a lift getting serviced. The transmission is running hot, the cooling fans don't know if they should be on or off because the radio unit changes all the controls so quickly. The volts on the dash are always at or about 3/4 of the way up and continuously bounce because of the system always changing. I have 52 transmission codes because the system is so confused but no one will touch it because its an 8 speed and not serviceable. And all the components are working.... they just do not work together. There has been several recalls for this make and model but all for the diesel, I believe it goes further then just that.

I have an ongoing issue with my Ram pick up, granted it's not a safety issue but an known issue by Chrysler. My issue is with the radio delaminating. Again it's a known issue so well know that when I described the issue the tech behind the desk called out a diagnosis without even going into the vehicle. My truck was purchased used in Michigan but was originally purchased new in Canada so when I went to address the issue the US FCA Chrysler stated it's not their problem it needs to be addressed with FCA Canada. I contacted FCA Canada and was told it's not their responsibility I need to contact the US FCA Chrysler because I am not a Canadian resident. Again, I contacted US FCA Chrysler and was told they could not help me. This is a known issue, I don't care where the vehicle was first sold I just want my vehicle fixed. This issue has been proven to be in both markets, why will nobody take responsibility and do whats right for the customer.

Our ABS Traction control light as well as the emergency brake light are illuminated at all times. Along with the traction control. The message states to service braking system - service trailer braking system with an audible ongoing chime. Dealership won’t fix this stating dodge will not sell them the necessary part because it is a faulty part. This is a safety issue. We live in Wyoming where we get an incredible amount of snow. After researching this issue it has become apparent we are not in a minority - there seems to be dodge owners across the county experiencing this exact issue to no avail. No recalls for this very prevalent issue. I have filed a case with dodge cares and I have had no contact.

8.4 in touchscreen is delaminating. The screen delamination causes the vehicle to register button pushes that aren't occurring, causing unintentional settings changes or making phone calls. Safety equipment (parking sensors) will intermittently be toggled off. This puts my safety at risk because it is a distraction while driving, essential safety devices can and are turned off randomly. This appears to be a common failure with multiple Dodge/Ram/FCA vehicles that have the 8.4 touchscreen.

Cam Shaft (RECALL) sensor failure / tone wheel per the dealership. Truck lost all power descending off a mountain / steep grade. Lost steering, brakes, engine power. The vehicle has only been inspected by the dealership. Truck will not start, even have installing new parts. It was towed in to the dealer on 12/2/23. I am not able to get a solid answer on what needs to be done. Communication has been very poor on the entire situation.

Blower motor stopped working so couldn't get window to defrost so I could see to drive. Replaced blower motor, still didn't work took it to shop they said connector to the TIPM module had melted so had it replaced plus asked mechanic to check all wiring, grounds,ect to see why blower motor not working. Pd over 700. To have this done blower motor worked for 1 day now doesn't work again. I believe the TIPM module is a safety and health hazard besides all the other stuff it messes up that just drive you crazy so it's also a mental health hazard. It a manufacturer defect on almost all there vehicles, not just the few they did put a Tipm recall on. Ty

GPS / Navigation system failure while vehicle was in use. System failure resulted in faulty position location on the moving map. When checked against the "HOME" location...the position error was 13 miles to the SouthEast. This failure is accompanied by erroneous Compass indication and a loss of Radio audio.

The Uconnect control panel randomly changes settings for the radio, climate, phone. rear view camera and other systems controlled by the Uconnect system. It even attempted to place an SOS call for emergency help. This causes a significant distraction for the driver and systems are randomly and continuously turned on, off and have settings changed. The cause of this malfunction is a delamination/failure of the touch screen controls. This is a defect well known to FCA on many RAM and Dodge vehicles.

The Uconnect system which controls almost every electrical aspect of my truck is malfunctioning. There seems to be an issue with the screen and it goes into a "ghost method" and the screen will start changing without being touched. This screen controls safety features, cameras, navigation, etc. i have seen several forums where ram owners are complaining about this and this needs to be a Recall!

2018 Ram 8.4 Uconnect infotainment screen is delaminating. The system places calls and changes settings frequently and randomly with out warning. The changes are more than an annoyance and cause the driver to be distracted. the volume must be muted to stop from allowing the radio to turn up the volume and be even more distracting, but an audible beep can be heard with every change and its distraction cannot be ignored. The changes are very distracting and make it impossible to use hands free navigation. The system interrupts calls made using paired cell phone and Calls are ended irrelevant of nature. The system also places unrequested calls if the system is left on that particular screen. The Uconnect screen delaminating is very common and know issue. It was inspected by the dealership and they said the system must be replaced. what’s seem to have not been accepted is that it is a hazardous distraction and potentially stops the user from accessing help when needed until it can be replaced. Many drivers cannot park their car for days/weeks until the u it is replaced even if you ignore the $1200 proposed cost of replacement.

Uconnect 8.4 which controls a number of functions in the vehicle has a screen delamination problem which is causing functions to be selected turned on or off at random, including; radio stations changing, navigation points altered, keyless entry to be turned off/changed, auto headlight settings to be changed, heated seats and steering wheel turned on in July, windshield wiper settings to be changed. When traveling on the highway at posted speeds this is extremely distracting and dangerous because the focus of the driver is on the screen. What is most annoying is that the system cannot be turned off!!! I can't begin to imagine what might happen in an electric vehicle that has even more functions controlled via an input screen. Service technician at RAM looked at the vehicle and immediately identified the problem as screen delamination implying this was not a rare occurrence. RAM has informed me that the repair (replace the unit with a remanufactured one) will be approximately $2,500. Many people will simply not have this dangerous situation corrected. Every time I encounter a Chrysler vehicle I am concerned the driver may be distracted with a similar problem in their car and endangering other drivers. The internet is full of people experiencing the delamination problem in the Uconnect 8.4 system across vehicles in the Chrysler/Stellantis line up.

When driving, the vehicle jerked and stopped working, could not drive and would not respond. I had to coast to the curb as best as possible. Vehicle was towed to preferred independent service center. I had just gotten off the freeway and if this had happened about 2 minutes prior we could have been stopped completely on the freeway. Major safety risk to me and my family. The problem, recall 66A, is currently being repaired, and has been confirmed, by our independent service center. No warnings prior to failure.

The infotainment system randomly starts changing stations rapidly. After resetting the system by disconnecting the battery, it now has the "would you like to change your clock settings" dialogue box pop up and no matter what you do, it pops right back up and you cannot control anything. I believe this is dangerous as it is distracting, and more importantly, there are many systems in this vehicle controlled by the touch screen. The HVAC control buttons are limited and when the touch screen is acting up, you only have limited choices which can be distracting in cool and damp weather when you need to keep you windows clear.

The touchscreen for the UConnect and all on board systems (ac/heat, audio controls, back up camera, clock, phone and device interface, etc.) is delaminating. This began at about 53,000 miles and has worsened (currently at about 56,000) to the point that it creates phantom button pushes. This presents a safety hazard as it can change radio and volume settings, cause repetitive, unpredictable menus to populate(clock settings), make unintended phone calls, and change other settings that present a distraction to the driver. Once the problem begins, it cannot be stopped without powering the vehicle off and the monitor cannot be powered off as the phantom commands rewake the screen. This is a well known, well documented problem that is due to a design and manufacture defect that is expensive to replace. Please issue a recall!

The active grill shutters and related wiring components are defective. The check engine light came on around 52000 and issued a code for U11E9- “replace active grill shutter.” I replaced it with a brand new part and the CEL remains on. Further investigation into similar instances in online forums suggest problems with the design of the wiring harness and pigtail that connects to the PCM. Many other consumers have reported this problem and were unable to resolve using the associated code, requiring further, expensive electrical repairs.

Ram 1500 interiors are damaged and destroyed when water intrudes into the cabs, a problem Fiat Chrysler allegedly knows about. The water leaks allegedly cause electronics to short-circuit which damages the rear airbags and propellant. And the water leaks cause mold and mildew which sickens occupants and makes the Ram 1500 trucks health hazards. In addition to the rear airbags, the Ram 1500 water leaks can allegedly cause problems with the "push-to-start ignition system, locks, windows, headlights, taillights, interior lights, windshield wipers, climate control, infotainment system and navigation, and back up camera." Ram 1500 drivers should allegedly expect failures of the headlights and tail lights, issues with starting the trucks, turn signal and brake light failures, faulty backup cameras and infotainment system problems. The Ram 1500 water leak lawsuit further claims drivers can lose the windshield wipers and the ability to lock or unlock the trucks. Fiat Chrysler has allegedly known about the Ram 1500 water leak problem since 2016 but actively concealed the alleged defects. The contact stated that the stereo face plate was delaminated. The contact stated that the screen experienced random phantom touches. The stereo was randomly tuning up loudly and failed to turn off. The vehicle was undrivable. The driver had to restart the vehicle. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer and diagnosed and determined that the screen needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired but informed the contact about disconnecting a fuse. The manufacturer was contacted and provided the contact with a case number, but no additional assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 56,000. The VIN was not available.

If the rear view camara is activated when backing up it turns off and on causing a dangerous situation. Hello. We have a RAM 1500 serial # 1C6RR7MT1JS204636 , the UConnect radio screen is doing some delamination about 1/3 of the screen from top. At 1st no big deal but since about 2 weeks it changes radio station by itself and for the past 3 days it keeps calling people non stop , I almost rear ended someone today trying to stop the calls . I know my truck is not under warranty anymore but I feel there's a big safety issue for me and my wife right now. This radio is a tool for us ( GPS is the most important feature on it ) . We got very scared my wife and I today. Don't know if I'm the only one having this problem but we'll really appreciate if FCA can take care of us.

The dash command center for the vehicle failed and has become delaminated and cannot be programmed for any functions such as hands free, defrosting, heating, clock, navigation, voice command or any other related necessary safety features. The windshield sweats and frosts over on the inside at temperatures below freezing with no way to defrost without command controls. The vehicle was taken to the dealership and the problem documented but nothing was offered other than replace command center at owners expense. There were no warnings of anything going wrong.

Have read other complaints of similar problems. The problem started with our 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 several weeks ago with the navigation system changing screens to points of interest, then yesterday everything messed up. Upon starting the truck the touch screen seems to work fine for about five minutes, then it starts jumping around from one screen to another. It randomly tries to route a destination, the radio changes stations, tries to call phone numbers, and the climate controls jump all over the place. No heat, no air, and most alarming is that the defroster does not work. The problem persists while sitting still and driving. There may be other problems, but the touch screen does not respond. All this is very distracting and dangerous.

When I start and operate the vehicle, the radio display prompts me with a question, "Do you want to adjust the clock? YES NO". Then it disappears. Then it reappears. I cannot select an option, and I cannot reset the radio to solve the problem (instructions from RAM). It is a serious driving distraction - It happens whether the vehicle is parked or moving. When I press the button to turn off the display to escape the distraction nothing happens. When I research this issue online I see how common the problem is. RAM directs owners to replace the entire radio at a cost of thousands of dollars but the radios are back-ordered due to the number of radios affected.

The (touch screen display) keeps asking me to change the clock settings while driving causing me to lose my navigation screen and I need to constantly (reach over to push the no button over and over). Dodge is aware of this problem. This is a safety issue since I rely on the navigation system, and it keeps interrupting me while driving. If I ignore the message, I have nothing else available to control many functions of the screen and navigation system.

The UConnect is malfunctioning, and my vehicle is available for inspect upon request. However I have many videos of the issue. It is exhibiting a “phantom touch” where it will click on buttons and change settings. My life was in danger when it would turn my windshield defrost on and off/change the temperature causing the windshield to fog up. It completely binds me while driving and I have to attempt to pull over and manually wipe the windshield. It is also constantly pressing the SOS button and calling 911, and I have to explain to the dispatcher that it is not an emergency/my truck is calling them (it’s a federal crime to call 911 repeatedly without an emergency). It has been confirmed by public forums and by another known customer. I am having it confirmed by the dealership today. The item has been inspected by those in the vehicle and getting inspected by the dealer. There is no lights or error code associated with the issue.

U-Connect, navigation, back up camera, screen, ac/heat controls, phone, radio, wipers, seat vents/heat all effected....navigation will not stop navigating when canceling route, back up camera stayed on over 3 hrs while I was driving which lit up everything behind me, phone when connected calls random numbers when I'm not even trying to make calls, radio jumps from station to station with out being touched. Wipers periodically come on by themselves when not raining and not turned to come on, a constant cluck when radio is jumping from station to station. Seat controls just decide when the want to heat/cool seats on their own. This should be a safety recall as trying to keep the phone from dialing 911 and other numbers you must take your eyes off the road, the back up camera remaining on consistently is dangerous as well. Dealer says about 1500 to change it out.. Recall this system please!!

Touch Screen on radio has peeled up and is bouncing all around from navigation, heat/air, radio and will not power off. Cannot use any function properly or connect the USB functionality. The dealership informed me it was a problem with all 2018 models and we would have to replace the entire screen. This is our opinion should be a recall on the model.

The Uconnect 8.4" has a delamination problem that causes the screen to act like it's being touched. This causes distractions because the seats vent/heat turn on/off. The radio station changes frequently. It makes calls from your phone using Bluetooth and the only way to stop it is by using your phone which causes distractions. This is a known problem based on Google searches and Ram/Chrysler should fix this issue before ppl are injured/killed while driving. The u connect screen controls, climate, hazard lights, phone, and other apps which is a huge problem and safety issue.

The in-dash audio system is shorting out. GPS will not work; U-Connect cannot make or receive calls (safety issue); U-Connect will make random phone calls over and over again, causing the driver to try and stop the calls while driving (safety issue); radio changes constantly between radio, Sirius, Aux and Phone (you cannot turn it off). It also affects the a/c and heat. I cannot believe this issue has not been recalled. I understand it is a real problem in the Ram trucks. Dodge needs to take care of this immediately! I do not drive the truck much because it is dangerous.

Driving down the interstate in the rain and the infotainment center starts randomly turning on and off the climate, turning off and on the heat/cool seats, turning on the backup camera, changing the stations, and just randomly changing settings. Truck is beeping alerts and very dangerous in the rain. It cannot be interrupted, this continued the whole 2 hour drive.

I am having problems with my 2018 Ram 1500 Uconnect system. With no input from me it asks if I want to reset the time and also gives me a message of function is not available while driving. When the Uconnect is doing this, all other functions (climate, navigation, radio, etc) are not available. Doing some research, I found this is a very common problem with Uconnect due the screen delaminating, yet Dodge is doing nothing to fix the problem except charging owners for testing and replacing. Doing some further research, I found where Dodge has issued a service bulletin (S2108000130) addressing the delamination issue but does not give a clear direction to the dealerships to fix the problem. Why this was going on, the dealership I purchased the vehicle contacted me. When I explained the problems I was having, there response was to trade the vehicle in. Instead of helping fix the problem, they wanted me to buy another vehicle. After locating the service bulletin, I took my vehicle to another dealer. They refused to even look at the vehicle and wanted to run a system test on it. I explained that you could actually see the delamination and a test would not be needed due to this. They also refused to look at the service bulletin I had located. Since this is a known issue with the Uconnect, a service bulletin being issued and class action lawsuits being filed on this matter in other states, I want my Uconnect replaced at no charge. My vehicle has under 49,000 miles on it at this time and I should not be having this problem.

I am having an issue with the radio screen on the vehicle is delaminating. This isn't repair able buy putting a new screen or screen protector on. the only thing is to replace the radio. the radio has the reverse camera connected to it and the radio controls the heating and AC. the radio also controls or changes settings in regards to electric brakes for trailers as well as lighting and etc. This is a major safety concern as when the delamination gets to the point of full delamination it tends to short the radio out. Shorting the radio out can cause the AC and heating which in the current weather climates becomes dangerous to be in. (heat stroke, frost bite, etc). the reverse camera also would be disabled which can be a potential danger to anything in rear of vehicle that isn't seen in the mirrors. Also a device shorting out also can cause fire. FCA is aware of the issue and is only replacing vehicles under the original 36,000 warranty. for everyone else it is Over $1,800 closer to $2,500 to have issue fixed that should be a recall issue.

The touch screen on my Dodge Ram has failed. A quick google search shows this is a widespread problem among all Chrysler vehicles. This is a safety issue as most of the controls for the vehicle are accessed through this screen. Further, it causes my radio to consistently change stations, turns the volume on my raid to max randomly while driving with scares me every time it transpires. I can not access any emergency services. The vehicle randomly shuts off even though it’s new. The screen randomly turns off while using it. It gets stuck on backup camera while driving or shuts the backup camera off during use. It changes the climate control consistently while driving. Turning on the heater to max when it’s 109 outside or flipping on the ac when it’s freezing. I can’t use the manual controls because the touch screen overrides them. I am constantly having to push buttons on this screen while driving to turn the volume down, but it keeps slamming back up to max with no way to stop it. I have to stop random emergency calls when it decides to make them, or control unbelievable climate conditions constantly changing while driving. If this isn’t an emergency issue that has possible grave consequences for drivers, idk what is. It is undoubtedly a safety hazard and the manufacture does not care. It is obviously a major flaw or design issue by the manufacturer and for public safety, there undoubtedly should be a recall on this. It’s not an issue of just being able to use the radio. What this screed controls, and what the defect is causing is a massive safety issue being ignored by the manufacturer and nhtsa. I’m sure this has led to fatalities, but how would we know if the people are dead?

There is a problem with the UConnect system where screen delaminating causes the system to be very erratic and make selections on it's own. It randomly selects any of a number of screens and makes selections within those screens causing major distraction while driving. This affects every selectable component including Radio, Media, Climate, Apps, Controls, Phone and Settings. This also takes my desire to run Max AC and instead gives Max Heat! Backup Camera, and many other issues. This is clearly worthy of investigation given the number of complaints I see on NHTSA for these issue. Please make this a recall.

The 8.4 inch navigation screen in the center cluster. This issue is available for inspection. The touchscreen is delaminating. As this thin film independently pulls itself away from the surface behind it, the screen behaves as though a person is pressing the buttons. This issue has rendered the navigation screen unusable because as soon as one makes a selection on the screen, another and many other selections are pressed immediately thereafter. Currently, the pressure seems to be focused on the Sirius XM selection and so it just continuously is pressed. However, yesterday while leaving work for the day, the screen selected a person from my contact list and placed a phone call, catching me off guard, as I did not initiate the phone call. There is a function to dial 911 on this Uconnect platform and so it is only a matter of time before my pickup decides to contact 911 without my knowledge or need/desire. An unexpected phone call to a contact or let alone 911 emergency dispatch would serve as a distraction to any driver and may lead to a serious accident. The navigation function of the screen is not usable because as soon as one tries to input an address or select a location, the screen makes its own selection. Attempts to correct this are fruitless. If one needs directions to a location, maybe hospital or emergency room (listed as options on the Uconnect platform), this screen is rendered completely unreliable. Also available on the screen is the ability to adjust the climate control. We did experience this on a road trip recently and the screen kept changing our climate selections. Changes made, quite rapidly, between the upper vents, the lower vents, and defrost all while changing the temperature and speed of the air delivered. Imagine driving in 100+ heat and you are unable to maintain a cool interior cab, especially if young children are on board. This Uconnect navigation screen was a selling point but is now a potential dangerous liability.

Touch screen that displays the rearview reverse camera overheats and is separating the digitizer from the glass causing the display to go off. Went to the dealership in Columbia IL. And they confirmed the issue, but would not fix the problem under warranty and charged a diagnostic fee for doing nothing more than agreeing that the touchscreen is overheating and the display is separating.

The UCONNECT 8.4 screen has delaminated and phantom touches constantly. I the phantom touches have caused several distractions to include turning on the rear view camera, adjusting the climate control settings, and calling people if a phone is connected. I have had almost two accidents caused by the distractions that this issue has caused while driving and been pulled over for using a cell phone to stop a call that screen made. The dealership has seen the vehicle and told me it is a common occurrence for this model of UCONNECT. I have called UCONNECT and Ram to see if they would replace the screen and have refused to do so.

The radio which is a 8.4 uconnect screen had started to delaminate cause the screen to randomly select items and constantly switch back and forth from one screen media to hvac controls and apps, it automatically turn my heated and cooled seats on and off and again and had even turned my auto dimmer for my rear view mirror off, and when I tried to turn it back on it would select the auto dimmer like I was touching the screen when I was not. This mind you while I was trying to drive at night making a huge distraction. It constantly hits items on the screen which brings up dialog which requires me to look down away from the road.

Please help this is an ongoing safety issue that causes my phantom touching on my stereo screen. The screen is not just radio but air, cameras and many other electrical settings. The heat will come on going down the highway when there is no air turned on. The backup camera will pop up on the screen causing a pretty uncomfortable feeling when going down the road at 70mph. Along with apps opening up, random phone calls through the Uconnect system causing me to try and switch the system off. This is a problem that is visible all across the internet while dealers and others are taking advantage charging money for the fix. Last June I started noticing a bubble in the left portion of my screen. I took the truck into the dealership I bought it from and my warranty had gone out so they would not help. Ive tried contact dodge and they keep running me around passing me to different departments. The issue is now to where I can’t do anything with the radio and it constantly phantom pushing of buttons. I have researched the issue and this is common problem all across Chrysler and dodge vehicles around 2018.

The contact's father owns a 2018 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving 20 MPH, an abnormal odor was detected and a loud sound was heard coming from the vehicle. The contact pulled over and inspected under the hood. She noticed that the battery had exploded, with cracks on the casing and battery acid leakage. The check engine, battery, and ABS warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that no codes appeared after they replaced the battery. The vehicle was not repaired and remained at the dealer. Prior to the failure, the vehicle had a jumpstart from Triple A towing company. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 58,800.

This has affected the navigation, radio, back-up camera, climate, etc. control in the vehicle. The system also unpredictably crashes completely, mid transit. The entire system affecting the items listed above crashes mid transit. If I were backing up, my visibility would be lost completely. If there was an emergency vehicle, I may not hear instructions from that vehicle as I would not be able to turn down the volume to my radio. If I were using the navigational features of the car, when it crashes, it may cause injury to myself, my passengers or others. The radio u- connect system is constantly malfunctioning, you cannot turn off screen, or sound. I glitches almost continually which has caused the screen to get super hot to the touch, which has caused screen separation because of the heat. The glitching is so distracting to the driver, that it is very dangerous to drive. I took to our local dealer who stated it was very common for this year. At the time of this visit my mileage had reached 36,700, which they state is 700 miles out of warranty. Also I had to disconnect my phone from the system because it would not let my call my family during an emergency. I literally had to turn off my truck and walk away from my vehicle to be able to call them. I travel alone often, and I’m unable to use my phone while in the truck. It will put my family on hold, and will fight me to keep it off hold. It also randomly calls, anyone in my phone book, them switches. There have been multiple times then the screen doesn’t allow me to change anything. I have went on the computer and there are plenty of similar experiences by others, shown in video. Their screen are also separated. I’m afraid my car will catch on fire. This is a very serious situation and I’m trying to find a resolution. My husband refuses to drive it long distances do to the distraction it presents. I do have videos documenting the distraction, and have included a picture that shows how the heat has causes the screen to separate, and the screen conflict. Ram is aware that this is an issue, and the danger that this presents. They need to address this immediately, this is very dangerous. Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter.

I have received 2 service messages on the vehicle. The first says, "Service Electronic Braking System" and the second says, "Service Trailer Brake". Apparently, this is an ongoing and known issue to FCA with 2014-2018 trucks and they have refused to issue a recall. This issue is occurring in many trucks with very low miles. My truck has 28,000 miles and is only 4 days out of warranty, yet now I as the consumer am expected to pay for replacement of ABS components that are breaking extremely prematurely. This should be a recall, due to the long term and widespread nature of the known issue.

The glue that holds the screen on the uconnect screen is melting causing unwanted buttons to be pushed. I will be driving and the radio will start changing channels causing a distraction. Also when driving in cold weather I can’t use the heater or defroster because it automatically turns on the air conditioner.

My Uconnect 8.4 screen is becoming to delaminated on my 2018 ram 1500 limited, the system is beginning to fail i.e. random calling, GPS issues and possible other integrated safety features. Driving in the National Capital Region in Maryland is dangerous and relay heavy on the display display. The problem has been reported however it is not covered. there are numerous posts and complaints regarding similar occurrences and it has not been issued as a recall. this shouldn't happen on new vehicle and needs to be corrected before some is injured.

Like many other complaints I have read on this site and across multiple Dodge / Ram forums, the center console information screen that controls most of the functions in the vehicle is malfunctioning. In my case, the screen randomly has a pop up that asks if you want to adjust clock settings and it continues to flicker and make beeping noises. From what I have read in other forums where others had a replacement under the manufacturer's warranty, the screen is delaminating and causing this problem. I purchased an extended bumper to bumper warranty and it is currently at the dealer where I purchased it from. It control GPS, phone, radio, temperature settings, doors, etc. My safety has been put at risk for various reasons; the phone inexplicably will start dialing different people over and over without my prompting and I have to do my best to cancel each if they calls while driving. When I pulled over on the Hwy to avoid more distractions, It took several attempts to move to another mode to get it to stop. After exiting the vehicle to regain my composure, the vehicle locked me out while running leaving me stranded on the side of the Hwy until a locksmith was summoned for me by a concerned motorist. Also while driving, the heat would inadvertently switch to highest heat possible and seat warmers would kick on even though the temp had been set previously at 70 degrees. Mind you, outside temperature was 100 degrees. Problem had been reproduced and had been acknowledged by the dealer and Chrysler. Dealer and online blogs both stated it’s a known problem with many vehicles with this Uconnect device. Problem original started with radio stations switching on their own and has recently progressed to all systems controlled by this devise radically changing while in motion.

8.4 inch Uconnect display has intermittent "ghost" pressing buttons. This causes the radio station to change, settings to change, back up camera to activate for minutes at a time, and now phone calls are being terminated. I am in Illinois and we have a "hands free" law for cellular phone use. The phone calls being randomly terminated could interrupt emergency communications. This random termination of phone calls is a huge distraction because you look at the radio display to see what is going on and then try to interact with the display to fix it. The root cause of this is the bubbling or delamination of the 8.4 inch Uconnect display. This delamination has been a known issue since 2013. My delamination issues are getting worse. I continue to report these issues to Uconnect, but they tell me there is nothing they can do.

Uconnect 8.4 inch display is bubbling or delaminating. This morning I was driving thru city traffic, about 5 miles total. The "ghost" was pushing buttons on the display changing radio stations, settings etc. Suddenly the BACK UP CAMERA CAME ON. Then it would turn off. I started timing the on time, and it lasted from 2 minutes to 4 minutes. This would randomly happen. VERY distracting and could lead to an accident. I consulted the google and learned there was a recall for something similar of the back up camera staying on too long when shifting out of reverse. NHTSA #20V191000. What has happened to me is far worse than that recall.

The 8.4 inch Uconnect display acts like a ghost is pressing buttons. The radio will randomly change stations. Other modes - settings, navigation, etc will randomly be selected. When this happens cannot change any climate controls. Back up camera randomly gets activated. This is a SAFETY issue as it causes a distraction when driving. The display randomly changing is also a distraction. Researching the internet, this is not a new issue and is known. The display is "bubbling" or delaminating causing the ghosting of pressed buttons. I am out of the warranty by 6 months and am told this is not covered. I have called Uconnect (case #80418507) and they stated they cannot do anything until a dealer determines the actual problem, which I will have to pay for. I should NOT have to pay for this. This bubbling or delamination issue is well known and should be covered under a recall or warranty. This started last fall but I thought it was caused by a dirty screen. This has gradually gotten worse and happens more often.

The 2018 infotainment system delaminated resulting in loss of control of the radio, loss of hands off assistance from Android Auto,, and loss of control of the various auxiliary electrical functions such as the clock, setting temperature controls, etc. Vehicle only has 51,000 miles on the odometer. There is a manufacture defect within the UConnect 8.4" screen that causes an adhesive layer to melt and limit the functionality of safety features. A bubble started forming under the screen with the size less than a dime, but has already quadrupled in size since I first noticed it. There is nothing that I can do to make it stop. I have had ghost touches, ranging from drastically reducing and increasing volume, and even having the backup camera turn off because it thinks I'm doing something else. These instances have been rare, but have been starting to become more frequent as the bubble grows larger. I've contacted dealerships and FCA customer support, and they both acknowledged that this is a common problem, but will not help since I'm out of warranty. There are hundreds of documented cases of this happening to a wide variety of FCA vehicles, with many of them being will under 10,000 miles. I should not have to pay for a manufacture defect because my odometer is higher than others. There are even cases of screens dialing 911 on accident or hanging up phone calls. What If I need to call 911 but am unable to? What if I'm using the backup camera, and it decides to randomly turn off? What if the melting adhesive drips and cause s a critical failure while I'm driving? What if the screen doesn't display the correct info for my parking sensors? These are all issues that should've been addressed long ago, but FCA refuses to fix them. There are even class-action lawsuits against FCA for UConnect malfunctions right now. These aren't rare occurrences. Should I have to wait months, if not years, for a settlement to be made? This issue has plagued FCA vehicles since this screen has been implemented, and it is dangerous to let thousands of vehicles run with such an unsafe product that is critical for the vehicle to function properly.

The radio/touch screen component control on the dash started clicking around the screen on its own. I took the vehicle to my local dealership and they told me that the components behind the screen had melted. My dealership was aware of several complaints of this on my vehicle model and other Dodge vehicles with similar radio/touch screen equipment, indicating that it is a widespread issue. This is unsafe because with all of the flickering around on the screen, it is very distracting to drive. I cannot turn the screen display off because it keeps turning itself back on. Also, this issue has rendered my hands free blue tooth connection for my phone inoperable. I am also concerned that this electrical issue may cause a fire. My dealership informed me that my factory warranty had expired by less than a month. I called Dodge customer service and they refused to pay for the repairs under the factory warranty. I informed them of the safety issue that this is causing, but they still refused to fix it. Therefore, I am having to pay for these repairs through the extended warranty plan that I purchased from Carmax and partially out of pocket. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate how widespread this issue is and if it warrants a mandatory recall by Dodge.

MY VEHICLE IS OUT OF SERVICE DUE TO A DEFECT IN THE 8.4 UCONNECT RADIO. THE RADIO (HEAD UNIT) HAS MISFUNCTIONED AND DRAINS THE BATTERY UNTIL DEAD. AN ATTEMPT TO FLASH THE HEAD UNIT BY THE DEALER WAS ATTEMPTED BUT FAILED. THIS WAS DONE ON JUNE 17TH. THE DEALER THEN PUT AN ORDER IN FOR A NEW RADIO TO FCA. IT HAS NOW BEEN 2 WEEKS AND 2 DAYS SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT IN FOR SERVICE. THE VEHICLE IS INOPERABLE WITH NO ETA GIVEN BY FCA FOR THE NEW RADIO. THIS PROBLEM CAN LEAVE OWNERS OF RAM 1500 TRUCKS STRANDED WITH WIFI , ASSIST AND SOS FUNCTIONS UNAVAILABLE IN A TRUCK THAT HAS NO POWER. FCA DOES NOT HAVE A RECALL IN PLACE AND THE DEALER HAS INDICATED THEY HAVE HAD TO TOW VEHICLES IN. THE CONTACT STATED THE BACKUP CAMERA AUTOMATICALLY DISPLAYED THE REAR IMAGE WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS SHIFTED TO REVERSE HOWEVER, AFTER SHIFTING THE VEHICLE INTO DRIVE THE BACKUP CAMERA REMAINED DISPLAYED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CAMERA DISPLAYED FOR AN ADDITIONAL TWENTY MINUTES. THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. NEITHER A DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WERE MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000.

I ENTERED MY VEHICLE 2018RAM1500 THIS MORNING AFTER IT HAD BEING STORED INSIDE MY GARAGE OVERNIGHT. I SAT DOWN, PRESSED THE BRAKE AND WAS ABOUT TO START IT WHEN I NOTICED THE SHIFTER DIAL WAS ON 'R' AND BEGAN BEEPING CONTINUOUSLY. I USED THE IGNITION BUTTON TO SWITCH FROM 'OFF' "ACC" TO 'START' AND BACK/FORTH AND PRESSING ON THE BRAKE UNTIL I WAS ABLE TO SHIFT THE TRANSMISSION TO 'P'. ONCE IN 'P' I PRESSED THE BRAKE AND THEN STARTED THE TRUCK. WHEN I PROCEEDED TO MOVE ON REVERSE OUT OF MY GARAGE, IT BEGAN BEEPING CONTINUOUSLY AND FLASHING TWO MESSAGES ON THE DISPLAY , "SERVICE SHIFTER" FOLLOWED BY "SERVICE TRANSMISSION SHUT OFF ENGINE TO ENGAGE PARK" THEN MY RADIO BLACKOUT. I COULD STILL HEAR MUSIC AND WAS ABLE TO CONTROL IT BUT THERE WAS NO DISPLAY.

DROVE THE VEHICLE ABOUT 4 HOURS TO PICK UP MY DAUGHTER. HAD THE VEHICLE IDLING FOR A WHILE AS I WAITED FOR HER ARRIVE SINCE SHE WAS RUNNING LATE. PUT THE CAR IN DRIVE AND STARTED TO HEAD HOME AND THE SERVICE SHIFTER MESSAGE CAME ON. THEN THE TRANSMISSION WARNING CAME ON AS WELL AS A MESSAGE WITH THE BRAKE SYSTEM. THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AS WELL AS THE LIGHTENING BOLT IN RED. I STOPPED AND TURNED EVERYTHING OFF HOPING TO RESET AND WHEN I TURNED THE VEHICLE ON EVERYTHING DISAPPEARED UNTIL I GOT BACK ON THE HIGHWAY AND THEN I HAD PROBLEMS ACCELERATING AS ALL OF GAGES DIDN'T SEEM TO ENGAGE. I GOT TO THE NEXT EXIT AND PULLED INTO THE CLOSEST PARKING LOT AND TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF. HOWEVER, IT DID NOT TURN OFF. ALL OF MY GAGES WENT BESSEL, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS TURNED ON, ON THEIR OWN, AND THEN ALL THE LIGHTS ON THE SHIFTER TURNED RED AND FLASHED. THE DASHBOARD CONTINUED TO LIGHT UP LIKE IT WAS TRYING TO RESET. I TRIED TO START THE VEHICLE AND IT WOULD NOT START. ONCE ALL THE LIGHTS FINALLY TURNED OFF I WAS ABLE TO START THE VEHICLE BUT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS STILL COMING ON.

VEHICLE HAS FAILED TO START 3 TIMES IN 2 1/2 MONTHS. I REQUIRED ROAD SERVICE EACH TIME. THIS OCCURRED ON JAN. 16, 2019, MAR, 20, 2019 AND MAR. 23, 2019. VEHICLE HAD BEEN USED FOR ERRANDS INVOLVING SEVERAL STOPS WITH ONLY A COUPLE OF MILES IN BETWEEN, THEN IT WOULD NOT START AND THE BATTERY WAS COMPLETELY DEAD. DEALER HAS LOOKED AT VEHICLE AND NOTED THAT THERE ARE SCORES OF 'LOW VOLTAGE' CODES IN THE COMPUTER. THIS PROBLEM MATCHES THOSE NOTED IN NHTSA RECALL U87. THE 'CREW CAB' VERSION OF THE TRUCK IS INCLUDED IN THE RECALL BUT THE 'QUAD CAB' VERSION IS NOT. I CANNOT GET THE VEHICLE REPAIRED AND DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING IT IF IT MAY NOT START, ANYWHERE ANYTIME.

AFTER GETTING BACK IN MY VEHICLE PARKED ON A CITY STREET I RESTARTED IT AND PUT IT INTO DRIVE. IT WOULD NOT MOVE. I REVVED THE ENGINE BUT IT STILL DID NOT MOVE. I FINALLY SHIFTED INTO PARK AND BACK INTO DRIVE AGAIN AND THEM IT WORKED. THIS HAS HAPPENED MANLY TIMES BEFORE AND THE SELECTOR SWITCH HAS EVEN JUMPED OUT OF PARK INTO REVERSE ALMOST AS MANY TIMES AND ON ONE OCCASION IT RESULTED IN PROPERTY DAMAGE OF ALMOST $3000. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT I BELIEVE THE MANUFACTURER KNOWS ABOUT BUT REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE IT BECAUSE OF PROFIT. I DO HAVE A VIDEO OF THIS LATEST INCIDENT IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED.
